Was out and about in the area so stopped over at the University of New South Wales to find a few caches there. Parked the car in Macas and then headed over. In finding these caches I was taken along many roads and lanes, seeing some interesting buildings and parks. All in all a nice walk on a summer's day.
I headed to this one and saw where gz would be, though it wasn't easy accessing it due to some fences. TFTH

Crept to the GZ without detection. Didn't take long to find the container and sign the log. TFTC
@fergo23 made me walk down the hill with all the spiders and a cat . Two good boxes of stuff.
Not joking, watch out for spiders. Mostly web builders and huntsman. Go 'Hot Shots'!
Found this cache during my lunch break and I came in from the wrong end. Oh well! backtracked and saw something that needed investigating and soon had the cache in hand. Did the legals and replaced as found. Didn't take any DVD's. TFTCM

Cool hide! Thanks to the CO.
Clan Venter joined us on this one.
First visit to Australia, visiting our oldest daughter who lives in St Ives, Sydney. What a wonderful country! We are having the most beautiful weather. Reminds us of South Africa, our homeland.
Such a beautiful area.
Thanks for the adventure.

Today we were here for the second time to find this hiding place. And we had great luck, holiday time and no Muggle were on site. [^] With a lot of time we could explore the terrain and find the cache. TFTC
I came over to UNSW for a workshop on a really obscure technology that I use everyday back in Adelaide, and thought a lunchtime walk was in order.
After scoffing down my food, a brisk walk brought me to near jungle conditions, with a severe but unlocked iron gate. Fierce animals guarded the cache, yntil I got too close then one ran away while the other just glared at me. I even got back in time to rejoin the workshop without being missed.
I didnt swap any videos, but took the Eiffel Tower TB as I am back to Adelaide tonight.

Found it. In fact I found the 2 containers! Took awhile as GPS was everywhere and the description had me at wrong level looking under many stones and rocks. PAF got me to the correct place and there it was. There really are many secret little alleyways around UNSW? I was about to go when I saw an older and cracked lid container. Signed both logs. Dropped off Eiffel Tower TB in smaller more secure container. Didn't have any movies to drop off. Not sure if I would call the camo "stone"? Saw the cat and made my way back to the top using the stepladder someone has conveniently placed there. TFTC.
Well that's an interesting weave through the back corridors. Found a couple of cats - decided to say hello, but not touch! Cache is in good order. TFTC.
Fathers day afternoon with two geo children in the UNSW. This was the third of our finds which took awhile and a find for geo daughter. TFTC.
Out and about on a rainy Friday to find a few caches.
I found a way to GZ and found the way described in the description when leaving.
A short search before spotting this one tucked away.
Thanks for the cache.

Nooooooo I went back to avenge my DNF a while ago, but I couldn't find it. Although I didn't stay very long - only about 5-10 minutes as I was getting weird looks from the garden maintenance guys. I'll be back!
A bit of coming and going before finding a way down to GZ. Once down here, I chose a container with what seemed like large maggots inside but spied the proper container on my way out, TFTC
Brrrr. This one was not an easy one for me. First you had to find the right entry. Then you had to avoid all the spiders. The students in the lecture halls that I passed were apparently fascinated by the the lectures and did not spare any glance. And then finally: There was the box (not under stones).

Had a really fun time looking for this cache , especially with the cats looking on from far back , the description is ***slightly misleading*** as it wasn't under stone when i found it , i climbed up from the passageway thinking it was hiding among the rocks up there for no reason ... After almost 30 minutes of searching i found it , *took nothing left nothing , signed the logbook , thanks for the cache*
Past where the cats get fed and through the mozzies! Squeeze past the AC unit. For your viewing pleasure
The cache has quite good mimikry. Even when I had it in my hands I did not beleive that it is what I was looking for.
An early morning pre work cache dedicated to my great caching pal The Plushter! Cache two of the UNSW series. A good cache to find when no ones around as its feel pretty awkward approaching GZ with muggles around. Whatever you do don't touch the Tupperware container under the tap, I think it's filled with food from 2004! TFTC
I had enough time to find a cache, but not watch a movie, so I signed the log and did not borrow a dvd. I thought this was a nice idea though. Thanks for the cache!
Would you believe two muggles were working right next to the GZ...? Had to wait for them to move a little down the track... to find an empty cache with only a pen inside and no log or movies... That was alright though because there were plenty of moseys to welcome me... Didn't stay long after I put it back...
Boys took Gone in 60 secs for their geocousin, and left a box set of geokids DVDs, for all to enjoy.

Australia Tour 15/16 - Brisbane => Sydney => Melbourne => Adelaide => Brisbane
by Nadine 1989 & Martin major
After our first part with the spaceship-car we visited Sydney with the famous Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. A nice city with a mass of tourist but it was not impossible to find some nice caches in the city.
In the few days we visited so many caches that it is not possible to write a personal logbook entry to each cache. Thank you for your work and effort to hide this cache.

We decided to do all six tradis on the campus in the morning before we fly to Melbourne because we stayed in one of the colleges. Thankfully we found all of them and some are very special. We had lots of fun and really enjoyed these caches.
This was our last cache and it was not so easy. After we struggled and found out how we can get there, it was a question if we really should do it. We started our way through the gate and we met two cats. This was no fun because one cat was not happy to see us. Finally we found the cache and we were really happy to be out of this area. The idea with the DVD's is great!

The box, like Abbott's head, is full of pens but has nothing to write on... photo taken instead.
A bit of difficulty trying to look normal creeping along narrow alleys in broad daylight but it seems that almost anything meets the definition of normal here and no offered even a sideways glance. A good cache to make into a smiley face..thanks again
Was a little confused at first but then realized I was an idiot. Good hide relieved when I found it.
At unsw for cbs 40th reunion with about 1000 others after not being for there for 25 years. Took the opportunity to explore on a quiet Saturday. Had the compass spinning for a while and as the campus had changed a lot in 25 years we weren't sure where to go but evetually found the right path. SLTN TFTC.
07:50 returned the Planxty CD as promised (though much later than planned sorry), and added a whole lot of DVDs that my friend wasn't going to watch anymore.
Here's hoping future finders trade equal or better!

ok think I got this sorted now , dropped off Philmore the Penguin here, brought him back from Brisbane over the weekend , hope he will continue on his journey from here
Stopped off on the way home from work to have a look for a few caches around UNSW. Parked the geomobile in Barker Street and walked into the UNSW grounds.
After finding "UNSW Disorientation" I walked along College Road, past Quadrangle Lawn and then around to GZ. Spent far too long searching in the wrong spot. The GPSr was all over the place and, while it kept telling me I needed to go beyond the area I was searching, I foolishly ignored it's advice and kept searching in the area I thought was more likely.
Eventually I heeded the GPSr's indications and found a route to get me closer. On arrival at GZ the cache was instantly spotted. I should have believed in my trusty Garmin 62s, it knows best TNLNSL. TFTC.

Tried to find it yesterday for a while but failed, today I asked raindoctor and misspalot for help. And we made it! Thanks for helping me love, and thanks for the cache!
This was one of the first caches on campus that raindoctor had shown me; long before I signed up for an account. For so long I had resisted "finding" this again because... let's be honest, the cat pee smell wasn't exactly inviting. HOWEVER since candy_tyt was on a campus cache clearing campaign, I tagged along once more to finally sign the log.
Maybe it was the recent rain or my decreased prissiness, but the path to the cache didn't smell. Hooray I've finally collected on the smileys on campus... for now. TFTC Thanks guys for letting me tag along again.

Stats wise, this was the easiest cache that I was attempting during a night of caching. But due to a mis-assumption, it probably was the cache that took me the longest to find. In hindsight I was in a too-terrainy area.
The reason there are two boxes is that about 6 months ago there were too many DVDs to fit in the single container so we added another to increase the size.
#2259 (10 of 15 today)
It's Oz Comic-con time again, and so I needed to deliver Geoson #2 to the door at White Bay so he could work on one of the stands.
This meant an early start in an area I don't cache in that often, so despite the fact I've been very light on Saturday finds recently - evening up finds on each day of the week (still lots of work to do on that though) - i decided to go for a lot of finds today. In particular, I was looking at one puzzle I'd finally solved a little while ago and an assault on my old alma mater the UNSW.
In the end I got 15 finds amid a few DNFs and a "can't get this to work" multi.
A good day.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
No sign of the watch cat.
I made this harder than I needed. Was tossing up re placement and initially made the wrong assumption - adding a star to the terrain rating.
Finally spotted an easy way to the other area and took it for an instant find.
Why are there two containers here?
Completed signing duties and took the T1.5 way out - DO'H!

Awesome cache! I enjoyed the small adventure to get here and I like the large cache size. Great use of the location. Thanks!!
Approached from a gap in the vegetation and saw two shiny dots - yes, the cat!!
Decided I didn't want to go that way, and after some searching, found a path that was more like 1.5 terrain! Wow, what a find. Will borrow a dvd for a week or two, will return with some stuff I don't watch anymore!

This was a strange one. The cat was there and expressed unhappiness at our presence. We negotiated the wet spots and eventually found the cache. Nice one!
Awesome spot! Asventurous. Encountered the guardian cat, escaped with our lives.

Okay, this campus has BIG caches! That was a little creepy as I hear stories about terrible Australian spiders, but we persevered
What an epic cache !! Took me a while to figure this one out So much emotions when you find it haha. Thank you
I came on my lunch break. Some students were in the electrical engineering rooms so i had to use stealth. It was a quick find. Great cache. I will have to come back and add some movies. TNLN. TFTC.
As we were meeting former colleagues for lunch at The Spot we thought, for old time’s sake, we’d alight from the bus in Anzac Parade and walk up through the university. I was here in the early ‘70s and, although there have been some major changes, there was a lot that was familiar to me.
After finding GZ for “Sweet Scents” and chickening out there (No! Not in broad daylight) we wandered up the campus via “UNSW Disorientation” to attempt this one. Thanks to the instructions, the sizable cache was found quite quickly. We noticed the cat’s abode but were not confronted as the ferocious feline must have been away on the prowl.
Nice hide, thanks Thesecretsocietyunsw.

We were momentarily puzzled as to how to get to this one but Mr MR spotted something mentioned in the description and we made our way gingerly to GZ. It was very wet under foot but we managed to get there and saw the hide straightaway. Mr MR did not mention the dangerous cat until we were already at the cache otherwise I would not have followed him in. SL TFTC
Just before a lecture this evening I had time to do a couple. Not many uni muggles about tonight. As I approached I was thinking I was in the wrong spot, but that proved to be wrong. A few minutes hunt around and soon had the CIH. No problems with the cat...must have been in bed. TN Left a small peg and signed the log. Visited a trackable. TFTC Thesecretsocietyunsw.
Found it with callmekrish23. Difficult find, wasn't looking in the right places. Follow the box with rice, and you will find what you're looking for. Beware of the fiesty hissing cat!
This one was tricky. Best to GC at ni8. Beware of decoys. The chamber of secrets is well guarded by the feline beast, almost mauled High Sierra.
Came over to 'take' my daughter and her friend to Allday at the Roundhouse. Dropped them off and then had a few hours to walk around the Uni. This one took a little longer, After walking around and seeing something that matched the hint, I made my way over. Sure enough, found the vault. SL, TNLN and replaced. nice one. TFTC.
Came from the wrong side, but found it after a bit of climbing. I like the size.
Thanks for hiding

TFTC,
Went to the wrong location and gave up. Read the description and followed the directions for an easy find.

Searched around the side of the hill, then Wazza9 read the description and we took off, thought we probably shouldn't be here, kept walking, found a container with rice in it, walked to find the vault. Signed the log no trackables. Thanks to Thesecrectsocietyunsw. It is so easy to walk around the university grounds.
After scrambling down the hill and looking under a large number of rocks, we were unsuccessful. I'm positive it's still there, we were just pressed for time. Will definitely return for another effort.
Decent hide, found by some newbies today! The map was very wrong and has been all day!
I've known this one was here for years but never had the time when it was muggle free to get it.
Today, I've come into a teachers conference early and grabbed it.
Thanks for the cache.
Next time I'm by, I'll drop off a heap of DVDs.
