Nice steep walk up hill to this one. Its soooo windy! TFTC, SL at 10:35am. Left a TB that has travelled almost 100,000km. Popped the koala on its way.
Quick weekend trip to Hobart to celebrate my wifes birthday. Although the primary purpose was not to find caches, a good selection or trade, mysteries and labs were found as well as a quick drop into an event while half way through a glass of wine at the Customs House Hotel and dodging showers. TFTC
My first find in the great state of Tasmania, doing the Cascade brewery tour, heard there were some pretty good walking tracks in the vicinity, and apparently some good geocache finds as well!
The view from the brewery here is amazing! We haven't been caching much lately so it's exciting to get out and log some caches today!
Came up to find the archived cache 25m away for the "Old School Challenge" quick easy find on the way. Easy walk and a nice area. Thanks
Beautiful walk! On out way to an old archived one, so this was a nice bonus! Thanks for the cache!
A quick find at GZ coordinates spot on.
Ps I think I found the secret gardens. Is it the rock art spelling CASCADE GARDENS?

The Cascade Gardens are so pretty [:x] with all the lovely flowering plants at the moment, some of these were seen on my up to this the 1st one in a string of 4 to be found here today (2 hill-climbs is enough for one day [B)] ha ha)

loved discovering a new track i had no clue existed, quick find in a gorgeous location! TFTC
These hills hold secrets aswell. Keep to the track and it's not far off it. Found by istherecoffee TFTC
TFTC no coffee today but after a beautiful lunch and amazing cup of tea at Hobart Tea Rooms (I can highly recommend) Psaltyranger and me went for an afternoon stroll here in the rain. Secrets that were lost were found but we remain unsure about the real secret garden secret. ️
After being in isolation for 6 weeks, the parks are finally open so armed with plentiful anti-bacterial hand wash we set off to find a few caches.

Had the day off today so decided to collect a few caches by walking some of the tracks in lower Wellington Park. This was the first one of the day after parking at Cascade Gardens. Nice and easy. TFTC

Found this one today on my last day in Hobart for this trip anyway. After the GPS compass had me looking in the wrong direction I turned off and then turned on my location and low and behold the cache was behind me. A very quick find and sign of the log book and also collected the Travel Bug. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam
Another cache along the way up the mountain.
Caught sight of an echidna on the path as I approached and followed it into the undergrowth. The little guy disappeared into the big hollow tree and I turned around and saw the cache. Dropped off a travel bug.
TFTC!

Luckily I decided to grab the cache in the park first before going up the hill. So on my way back trough the park to find this cache I saw a Platypus! It was walking surprisingly fast along the creek on the concrete in the fenced in "deep water" area. After jumping into the water it was swimming around for a while until it finally disappeared.
Found this cache quickly. It has a lot of nice swaps for younger children. But I couldn't figure out what the fill secret is supossed to be.

This is such a pretty little area! Very much enjoyed my trip to the secret garden as part of my afternoon caching. Thanks for the cache!
Great view of the brewery. Quick find. Thanks for the cache, cheers, Mr Eatmorchikin
Today we decided to tackle a few caches with whitewebbs from near the top of Mount Wellington down to the Cascade Garden. Mrs Whitewebbs dropped us off at the top car park and off we headed down the mountain.
This was a long day starting from 10 am and finishing at 4:30 pm. All the caches we found we in excellent condition and well hidden. This was a new area for us to visit with great views of the Derwent River, when the fog lifted, and seeing many pushbike and bushwalking muggles.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Hi DreadPirateGroo, welcome back and thanks for enabling this cache. The GeoGSP and I headed out for a stroll up this hill today so a search for this cache was a must. Cache was found with no trouble and the log signed and returned in quick time. Didn't spot the secret garden, although the GeoGSP spotted a few hoppy things on the walk. Thanks for the cache.
Was wondering if this cache was going to be replaced soon as would love to come and 'clean up' the caches in this area
This has unfortunately gone away. I will recreate it shortly as it has been popular and my children have really enjoyed reading all the wonderful logs. Be assured, it will rise again!
Cache is most likely gone, needs replacing. A pencil was found in the cache location
What do you do when in Hobart, and it is raining. Go caching of course. Spent the day with our good friends FELIXII. Visited the Cascade Female Factory then set about finding some caches in the area. Some we found, some we didn't.
This was another we did not. Depsite previous DNFs, we thought with four sets of eyes, we might give it a try. Unfortunatly, we still did not manage to find the hide. Thanks DreadPirate Groo, we were in the area anyway.

Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
Thanks anyway DreadPirateGroo
Thanks anyway DreadPirateGroo
Should have read the logs b4! After checking the hint, now know it is not there!
Went exploring for accesses around McRobie's Gully.
Thought the car park at the bottom seemed like a good place to stop.
This cache was near where I was going anyway so I thought I'd have a hunt for it. Had a good look around but couldn't find it. Pulled out my phone for the hint only to see that a DNF had been logged since this list went on to my GPS. Saw a few 'candidates' for where I'd put a cache, 2 were likely and neither contained a cache.
I did however see some interesting foliage.

Also couldn't find this one. Found a pencil on the ground near a stump. Could be MIA
I was were and I only find some crayons which were probably in the cache. Please check this one.
Three young boys had heaps if fun trying to find it 0on a nice hot day in hobart. Although the pencil does need sharpening. Thank you
Great fun for three boys on a hot day! The pencil in the log book needs sharpening
Found this afternoon whilst our for a circuit walk around the area
