I was walking right past this archived cache, so despite my suspicions that it would be highly unlikely for me to make this find after all this time, it was a low time effort to take a look, just in case. With the last find by Team Benders some 7-8 years ago, it was a big ask that this reportedly exposed and broken container would still be around the place, so I had a look behind and around the trees, and amongst the leaf litter around, but alas no go. I suspect this has been cleaned up in its time, so with nothing to find, I continued my walk along the path. Thanks anyway Geo sapiens/Blackspades for the cache placement. ---------- Today, it was a morning outing to Seventeen Mile Rocks, before needing to be home late morning to help with domestic duties and infant party preparations. An early start to attend and run Rocks Riverside parkrun before then holding a geocaching event, [Rocky Saturday Social](https://coord.info/GCAE7B0) at Rocks Riverside Park. I had time to visit a few nearby geocaches like [Below the shags](https://coord.info/GC3GK95) at Thomas Macleod Park whilst enjoying the fine weather morning.

I wandered down to GZ to take a look at the container.
The plaster outer had split in two.
The little container still had its log although damp but still able to be written on.
It still had one of Barbbowman's crochet ribbons in it.

Found it laying in the open. The disguise is broken unfortunately. I tucked the pieces back behind a tree,

25-Jul-14
Sadly the outer camo is broken and it had fallen on the ground. We placed him back at eye level as we don't think it would be muggled in this location.

#14 with credit to Dr_pepi...while I was poking around down below she was reading the clues....sadly the outer camo is broken and it wasn't up where it should be. Will log NM Sad

Cache number 14 on an epic day for trin_007 and I. Time was of the essence when we got to this one as the phone battery was coming to an end… Thought we had this stuff covered by now - oh look, another bridge, we know where to look! Climbing and ducking and weaving and turning over rocks and a few more spiderwebs later, we had no luck. Time to look at the hint - oops, wrong spot. Re-oriented ourselves to a more appropriate area, and unfortunately the cache was on the ground with the outer camo broken. Seemed like such a shame - looked like it would have been an awesome find in its "natural habitat"!.

Trin has already logged the "needs maintenance".

I was in the area and saw this one. I thought it would be an easy find. Well that wasn't the case. I looked everywhere and no joy. I sat at the nearby seat and read a few logs and thought I'd give it one more go, this time I came from a different angle and just as I was about to give up I spotted something out of place. There it is Smile A great hide in a nice spot. TFTC.

these we now know are for the archived Eclipse - On ' Yer Bike
we followed them to see where they would lead and tada ... the cache we had on our list
unfortunately it is now gone Sad

Day 30 of the 31 day challenge, and out caching today with Ed and Barb Bowman. This cache took a little longer than expected. Very clever cache hide. Found a set of numbers that we used to stroll on over to another cache location. TFTC.

What a great camo that blends in well.

While searching for this one, found the offsets for another archived multi.

A favourite from me.

Very very cool hide!!! Took a while looking in the wrong place, but once we found it we were very impressed. TFTC

Out and about with karenhippo. This one had us searching everywhere, examining all the wrong things and generally not getting anywhere Sad We were considering making a PAF, but a read through previous logs gave me just the hint I needed to make the find Big Grin A very impressive container, indeed, so a favourite point from me. After being muggled out last time, I decided to arrive early and give the area a thorough looking over. I found myself alone at GZ today, and had one of those exciting moments when I stumbled upon the cache in the first place I looked. Coming in from the right angle helped a lot, as there was probably no way I was going to notice it from the other side. It blends in really well here, though I had a little trouble replacing it.

Today was my third visit to this cache. I was in high spirits about finding it, given my recent luck with finding caches on my DNF list. After getting off the bus and walking to GZ, I was by myself for maybe five minutes before a muggle jogger passed me. I continued searching, though over the next ten minutes he passed a couple of more times, which led me to abandoning the search and walking over to WW#4 to try my luck.

29-Jun-13
Our daughter and Her partner had three goes at this one before having success. They did have a slight hindrance with the first two attempts in that they had a 6 and 7 year old with them and they lost interest quickly. They challenged me to find this first go and no hints coming from them. Arrived at GZ and waited for the muggle dog walkers to go by and then went where my GPSr indicated. Given the terrain I did not think that was right so let the thingy settle and it then-had me in an area where I thought was more feasible.

Spent about five minutes and soon had the very well hidden and disguised container in hand. A favourite point from me. TFTC

Out with Net88 and Whint today to find a couple of caches. We had two goes at this one today. The first time we hunted we were looking in the completely wrong spot for completely the wrong type of container! So we went off in search of a few others while we waited for a PAF. After a phone call and better information about the cache we returned to try our luck again. Second time lucky Smile I spied the well hidden container just where it should be in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the cache as found.

I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!

Found this cache whilst out for a day of caching with Nyssaflutterby and Whint and Bad Dal. We were so happy that it wasn't raining for once that there was not a chance we were going to miss out on the opportunity to find some caches whilst staying dry. We parked the car in the same spot as last time and headed off to look for this one ... again.

We had been given a hint of the cache container and the area last time but it didn't seem to help us. Today ... it didn't look good either. I made another PAF and got a different hint which didn't match the original one. Hmmm the other two had given up so off we went. At the next cache Whint said she had spoken to the CO and knew where-ish it was.

We headed back here AGAIN... oh well third time the charm..... right??!??! We started looking and eventually nyssa just put her hand in the right place and there it was! Thanks for the cache geo_sapiens. Very glad we stuck it out at this one.

13-Jun-13
what to say about this little fellow.... after our last failed attempt, Net88 & I returned with Nyssa for another go.... we spent far too long last time looking... no luck... once again... we were not having any luck, even with a fresh set of eyes... another PAF and we were still no closer so I shot off a "save me" sms to the CO but after some time we gave up and moved on....

While grabbing another friend of this fellow nearby the CO rang and gave me some vital information to help us on our way.... we were total looking in the wrong place for this one... our very first PAF had given us a total wild goose chase hint... which just so happens had nothing to do with this cache at all... hmmm... thanks for that Razz

Either way, with our vital hints in hand we returned to GZ and were so surprised when we finally found the cache... was so not what we expected and very impressed... so well blended in... well done guys!

thanks for the hunt (but thank goodness it is over now) and cache Smile

No luck again, another 20 min looking , turning, and looking some more. (Update - if only I had read all those olld logs before leaving home)

New log in place all good to go. Cheers

24-May-13
Took me a little looking, and it appears that my GPS was playing up on me a little here, wanting me all over the place. However with a little looking around I soon found what I was looking for.

I do like the disguise of the container here, and it does make for quite a tricky little hide.

Out with Net88 and had no luck with this one... spent far too much of our precious little caching time looking for this one to no avail. We even tried to FAF but they were no real help either. Having used all our available time up we needed to go so I could pick up my geokid from school... I guess this one lives to see another day without our names in the log Sad

thanks anyway

21-May-13
No luck for whint and bad dal or myself today. We had horrible jump on all our devices. We will be back one day.

19-May-13
Wow, what a great camo. Almost ready to call it quits on this one before spotting it. Just one place left to sign on this one.

10-May-13
So I wandered back to Windermere to complete this series and this was my first stop...

I loved this cache! As far as good ideas and homemade camo goes, it's a ripper! It may even be unique and for that reason I'm giving this clever hide a FAVE point Smile

On approach to GZ I was dismayed to see a possible hiding place that counts as one of my least liked places to search. I had a cursory look then decided to wander about a bit more until the GPSR settled... Which it shortly did... Whew!

When I zeroed in on the spot indicated by the GPSR, the cache was staring me in the face Smile

Oh my! I flushed! That's a beauty!

Settled down to prise open my prize and admire the CO's handiwork. Completed the paperwork and rolled on to look for the next cache in the series.

Well we searched forever then went and did number 2. I was on the phone when we came back to revisit and I obviously needed to be distracted as I looked up and there it was! Clever hide!

28-Apr-13
Technically my fifth visit back to this one, this time with misssusan, I had a lot of trouble with this one, so needed an extra set of eyes, we found it after a long search! Thank goodness I can put this one to rest now, very cleverly disguised.

27-Apr-13
This 1 left me rocked at first & was about to call it a didn't find. I decided to walk down & check out #2 to maybe get into the head space of the creator and was no longer stumped.

Great camouflage. Cache is in good condition, nice and dry. Thank you.

Had a small search, didn't have much time as I had to get to my next job, phone died, will try again another time.

Wondering past late this afternoon and this was a no hope in the dark. Now why did I leave that torch at home.

17-Apr-13
Found it at last ! Third attempt ! Great camo. Very rewarding to find this one. I am glad I did not give up on it

17-Apr-13
Yay, finally found this one with Pureluck77 and Tadpole3. Great hide!

Great hide, took us 3 attempts but finally found it.

20 mins to spaer before a meeting was not enough , it is the dark side

15-Apr-13
Woo found it at last. Had some inspiration in the form of a huge clue from EggInTheSky and it still took a little while to locate. Just as previous finders have noted, a small strange glint gave it away in the end. Once spotted I was wondering how I had somehow missed it before, but had managed to find century old coke cans and the like.

It may have been easier to try this during daylight but then I may not have had the chance to learn the charming calls of all the frogs of Sinnamon Park or get to enjoy the splendor of all the constellations.

Not quite doing this series in order but enjoying the area nonetheless. GPS bounce had us searching in the wrong spots but after reading previous logs and realising GZ was more in the bush we reevaluated our approach. Taking an 'observe from a distance' approach, managed to spot this cleverly concealed cache in short time. Brilliant unique camo job. Always nice to see something different and loved the creativity. Great job, thanks geo sapiens.

11-Apr-13
Order, who need order, when there are caches to be found? Wink

When the GPSr settled, we spotted the cache. A great camo job on this one.

Thanks Smile

after not having any luck finding this one with keepingupwith the other night, i spoke to the CO and managed to get a hint for this one. I decided to come back here a day or two later to find it.
phew! Lovely hide~!!

Was driving past with Frogfreak80 so we thought we would have another crack at this one. This cache is destroying my self esteem and keeping me awake at night

07-Apr-13
Spent another 20mins trying to find this one with pureluck77 until geokid complained of being eaten by mozzies. Will be back to try again.

04-Apr-13
Didn't want to stay long as the area was filled with muggles and it was getting dark. Given the last few logs were DNF's I was kind of put off, though apparently it is here as GemJay managed to find it earlier in the day.

Thanks anyway.

'Wandering' about again today, cleaning up a few loose ends. With the new co-ords on board, was soon at GZ and as usual, probably because of the tree cover, GPS had me going here and there. Eventually found myself standing in the bushes gazing about and feeling a bit frustrated when I saw something? Wonder what that is? Not even thinking it was the cache, I moved it and it exposed itself as a cleverly disguised hide. thanks geo-sapiens, I think this one deserves a favourite from me.

25-Mar-13
Was on a trip with EggInTheSky to collect the Windermere set. Sadly this one eluded us. We did find old drink cans, a wet backy bag, many many toads, coordinates for an aparently deactivated cache and many other things that weren't caches. Will have to come back to this one.

Came back to two of these Windemere Wandering caches that had eluded me a few weeks ago, and very relieved to find both. Fun stuff well done. I was surprised to find another team crew153 had already visited this one before me this morning! It's only 6.30am.... Who are you people.... Addicted I think! Fave point for this one!

09-Mar-13
After a fruitless search for #2 I wandered over to this one to see if I could find it and have inspiration for finding #2.

The coordinates put me into a likely area but there was no indication of where the cache could be hidden.

I made a phone call to a previous finder and was directed to a spot where I had not searched which was 5-10 m from the area I was searching.

The daylight was fading and it took a while before I saw a small glint on a difference in the area and soon retrieved the cache.

TFTC . An interesting construction.

23-Feb-13
Read logs, looked at lots of possible places, sat and cleared my mind. Still came up empty handed. Another day perhaps.

16-Feb-13
I decided when I found the others in this good little series to leave this one for a rainy day when I needed one for the calendar... and it turned out to be a good move, as time was short today and it was indeed rainy.
Arriving near GZ, I had the benefit of updated coords so didn't do any bridge-diving, but instead watched my phone struggle under the canopy. Why did I make it this one, I moaned, as I wandered around, poking at this and that. Dusk/night is not recommended as a time to visit this spot! Eventually I got down low in a central spot and just let my iTorch shine around - thank goodness it picked up something in its beam and I was in business. What a great container! Love your work here guys and thanks again for all your efforts - see you soon!

24-Jan-13
Interestingly, almost where my GPS put GZ I found an old marker forming part of a now archived series cache by Hawmorfords. "Eclipse - on yer bike" I think it was called, or something like that.
Again a very original idea of how to camo a cache. Most ingenious I thought. TFTC.

22-Jan-13
Little bit of rain when I arrived, which is so unusual lately it apparently scared off all muggles. I spent a bit of time making sure I was at GZ, but no cache to be found. Looking a little further afield I could see something unusual, which I initially ignored. More searching at GZ. Nothing - ugh! I eventually resolved to take a look at this curiosity and - yay! I clearly have a lot to learn about this caching lark. Great container - TFTC!

19-Jan-13
In the mood for some caching, I set out to complete the four new caches in this area of parkland. I figured it would be easiest to complete in order. At GZ I found myself at a familiar site. With a nearby hide in mind, I checked some of the more obvious spots coming up with nothing. I had an extra set of eyes today who took the high side while I went under to explore further. There were a couple of 'additions' to the bridge which soon stood out, though I couldn't make sense of them and decided they weren't the cache. I noticed a set of waypoint additions at GZ though I don't think they would have helped much. Deciding not to waste too much time, I moved on.

Till next time.

16-Jan-13
Had a few minutes this afternoon and was driving by, so I thought I'd take a quick detour to find a couple caches in this series. Reached GZ easily and searched around where I thought it might be hidden, but came up empty. Took a moment to regroup and look around me and soon spotted it. TFTC!

16-Jan-13
Nice and quiet in the area this afternoon, with only a couple of wandering muggles around. One met me at GZ as he was crossing the bridge, he bid me good afternoon and continued on his way... [^]

All clear, I moved in for the hunt and naturally took what I thought was the obvious hiding spot as my first port of call... As I got into position, I looked down at my feet and realised I had company. There was a snake curled up within 30cm of where I had stopped... Holy Cr*p I thought, lucky I didn't move any further... Surprised He was equally as uncomfortable with the situation and decided to head for cover. Well, that was nice of you, please ignore me while I do the same... Big Grin

Before heading off though, I took the opportunity to check a few spots, while keeping my eye on the nook that old mate hissy had slithered into... Once I had established the container was not where I was, it was time to head out and widen my search a little...

I wandered off and followed the GPS back to zero. OK, so it still wants me here. Right... I glanced around and worked out a couple of potential directions to head in, but picked the closest to inspect first off. As I approached, I spotted something a little out of the ordinary and on closer inspection, I had me a cache... Smile

I etched my name in the log before returning the very nicely crafted container back in place... I don't think I have seen anything quite like this one before, well done. It gets a favourite point from me... [^]

Cheers geo sapiens.

14-Jan-13
Arrived at GZ and checked the obvious spots where caches are usually hidden at places like this. Bugger..... no luck. I sat and pondered and decided to widen my search area from the first place I looked but had to wait for a few muggles to pass by. When the coast was clear I quickly located a very unique container. I just love this container. Awesome work. Another relatively easy search unhampered by muggles - they must have all been indoors enjoying the airconditioing on this hot muggy afternoon. Great work geo sapiens.

09-Jan-13
Found with geodog Smile. Stairman1 came with me for an early morning walk. Geodog and I know this area well as this is our favourite spot to walk. We crossed an all familiar bridge with an all familiar cache hidden near it and made our way around the path. We met some muggles walking their dogs so geodog had a chat to them Razz. After they passed a quick hunt pursued and I found a container I hadn't seen before. Cool Cool. Signed my name then headed off. Thanks Geosapiens.

09-Jan-13
The GPSr struggled here so I walked back and forth for a while - eventually picked my spot and there was the cache - liked the container. Signed the log and returned it back to its place - thanks.

I was at work when the cache was published so I immediately told geowife and Dansyc who went out for the adventure. They arrived just over an hour after the cache was published to be the TTF (Third to Find). It's amazing that Stairman1 and 5Meercats got there within the first 30 min. WOW...they are fast. Sometimes I wonder if they work or just wake up and wait for the reviews to come in. Nice easy cache to grab, and it's nice to be in the race. Top 3rd to grab it isn't bad. TFTC

08-Jan-13
With aspirations of an FTF on this one, Mrs Meerkat and the geokids rocketed down here as fast as they could. Alas, they stumbled across Stairman1 already at the scene.

The kids enjoyed this cache as did Mr Meerkat who dropped by on the way home. Very inventive camo. Well done. TFTC geo sapiens!!

It's probably fitting that we channeled geo sapiens caching efforts heading out in the twilight for this series. By the way congratulations again on the 1,000 in the first year. That is a Herculean effort Big Grin.

Found this one a little more difficult to find than the last with a bit of GPS bounce here. Once Mr Meerkat ventured a little deeper it all became clear. Clever hide.
