Unfortunately a muggle who was getting her Christmas fish was sitting right on the jetty, giving me weird looks. Shame I didn’t get this one another time perhaps
I have never been down here before. Very interesting history. Really cold & rainy day - my hands were so cold I thought I was likely to drop cache, or fall in! But neither of these happened - phew . TFTC .
A quick pit stop. I think I got just as wet from the rain as I would had I fallen in!
On a mission today to spend most of it logging some Hobart hides whilst visiting from the northwest. First successful find today after two multi DNF's, so this one has lifted our spirits somewhat. Great spot, cache in good nick. Log might benefit from a small plastic bag though. TFTC MakkyBrown
Out on a nice morning but freezing wind! In Hobart for a brief holiday and respite from lockdowns. Lovely spot and a great view of the bridge. Interesting history of the regattas. Thanks for bringing us here. Left a trackable. TFTC
What a hide! It’s precarious position made me worry I might drop it but I was very careful! I forgot my pen today but the paper was quite moist anyway. TFTC! ️
This was one of those distractions on the way home from some time out
Things were busy with it being winter feast week and some odd sculptures up at the cenotaph
It was also good to learn about the railway being used as a cycle track around the point. Must check that out sometime
Tftc. All in order

Came past the other day but too many muggles. Returned today for a quick, easy find. TFTC
I've walked almost to this cache so many times, i'd given up any thought of finding it anymore, recognizing it as the muggle central it can be.
The other day while driving past, budgietas and i got super lucky as all the fishing muggles had departed for the day, leaving us free to climb for success.
Always amusing with a past finder.
Thanks for entertaining me with a great cache hide.

A quick find on about my fifth attempt.
Always been people fishing at other times.
Log is soaked so could not sign it, and just took a picture, which I have attached

No body was around down here today so managed to make a quick find once I climbed down. Cache and contents are all good
Today I headed to Hobart to attended the celebration event in the evening and decided to make a day of it and find some caches along the way, around new Norfolk, the CBD and lenah valley . A great day out with around 60 finds.
Thanks for the cache

Tonight was the first time I've gone to look for this cache where there weren't muggles right at gz.
Today it was found quickly and logged between showers.
Snow to 100m tomorrow according to the weather bureau. Not sure it will be a repeat of that time in the 80s.

I've been wanting to go searching for this cache for a number or years, but just haven't found the right time.
The history of the cattle jetties you have provided is really interesting. A few years ago, my sister and I found out we had a rather sad connection to the cattle jetties whilst researching our family history on my father's side. We had never been able to find out much about my dad's family, but with a few visits to the archives we uncovered that my grandfather had an older brother that had drowned when he was about 10 years of age off the cattle jetties. We read a witness report, a police report and a coroner's report - they didn't know about CPR in those days, this was in the 1890s, it was quite sad reading about the attempts to revive him.
Today, I made my way to GZ with my eldest son - last day of my current batch of rec leave - after we had enjoyed a coffee and morning tea sitting in the sun on a quiet and still winter's day.
A straightforward find and I was able to add my name to the log. A favourite from me.

We came here a few weeks ago, but someone was fishing at the spot. Today the area was clear. I missed it at first, it was not as hard as I was expecting.
Skipping this one. I went down the pier but I’m just too concerned about falling in. I’m too clumsy for this cache.
Found with "The Coke" while in port off of the Majestic Princess. Quick find in good shape...thank you MakkyBrown. Lots going on around here today we assume because of the regatta?
Another windy day for this cashe find is it a theme? Didnt have a pen so picture it is
It was SO windy down on the pier. I was worried things would get blown over the edge. It was so funny watching Mr EMC contort himself and hang upside down trying to find this one. We were all too scared to go near the edge in case we fell over. I am glad there was no one else around as we must have looked VERY odd. Found on our last day in Tassie. TFTC...eatmorchikin from Brisbane
After our event in Salamanca we headed out for a big walk to pick up 12 caches. We also added in fish and chips, a Devonshire tea and a few beers. All in all it was a super day out caching! We walked 15kms and did 15k steps so that cancels out all the poor food choices we made.
Enjoyed the quality of caches we found today and hope to one day return to Tassie to get some more caching done.
This was our first trad for the day. Geohusband was soon onto the hide and we were happy to have this one signed and replaced. TFTC!

Thanks to the cache owner for placing and maintaining this cache. Without their work this game would not be possible.
Caches should be fun and creative, not evil.
Exploring the world one cache at a time.

Really is it there or over here, WOW it is there! Nicely done, signed/stamped the log sheet NZGA2019 as we are a group of 33 cachers/muggle spouses. This stands for New Zealand Geocaching Adventure 2019 group, shortening it saves us time and space on the log sheet. We are from all over the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Finally MakkyBrown I can relax now that I have found your cache it is muggle heaven here on most occasions I have wandered by. Today it was glorious at GZ a father and son fishing on the jetty next to me were no threat they were too busy with what they were doing. Now sitting down at GZ I suddenly noticed the cache which I believe shouldn't have been where it was from reading the activity logs re the ladder. Anyway I will take the easy find but perhaps the CO or a previous finder could check and rehide in the spot it was meant to be. Where it is now is very easy to spot from above. Anyway thanks for another frown turned upside down MakkyBrown.
Drat. The aquatic hunting muggles are obstructing my chances of collecting this one today
We've been here several times before but there have always been way too many muggles. Today the coast was clear! TFTC!
Cheers,

Not as difficult to get to as Ioriginally thought! A bit more active to get to this one than usual, TFTC!
Hi Makkybrown was here today and nope I couldn't find it. It was cold at GZ but no wind and the bottom rung was allowable without getting wet. Ideal conditions for a find but cache blindness made us head away to come back another day probably after Dark Mofo activities as that was starting to ramp up. Thanks for the cache and yes I will return.

Found with Mtrax on our mini Tassie holiday! Today we drove back to Hobart from Launceston... Once again, the rain held off, and the sun was shining! Mind you, it was very windy! But that was OK. This was a nice cache find along the way - it was SUPER windy here, nearly blew us over the edge of the jetty! Favourite for location and excitement - thanks MB.
we searched this one before the event.

Luckily I spotted this one right away but unluckily a big family was right in the opposite side staring at me. Waited for 1/2 hour but had to give up. I came back today and quickly got it during a muggle free moment. Cool one. Thanks for placing!
