Pazza nearly walked into the fattest Orb spider we have ever seen....watched her scare off a tiny male and saw him bail pretty quick....side note: had to google Orb spider mating rituals! Big rabbit hole! Had another good search but avoided the spider! No luck!
Out doing some cyclocaching and tackling some of the Periodic Table of the Elements power series with hunterzed on a beautiful sunny day. Hoping to burn some calories and log a few on the way thanks to the OG CO’s and the current CO for looking after this series.
Made a small dent in this series yesterday so came back for some more today with sidekick Lndnlad. Plus the weather has been sensational.. perfect for getting back on the trusty bike.
We knocked off 18 caches in this epic series with 0 DNF's which made for a very enjoyable couple of hours. Nice to see this series has been kept alive and maintained so a big thanks to the original and current CO's for their efforts. Looking forward to completing more of the series soon.

What a difference a day makes. A sunny day today, compared to yesterday’s drenching in the rain.
I parked up, pulled the mountain bike out and started my ride and cache around the Providence before hitting the freeway cycle path.
Took a bit of climbing around the bank to make the find.

Out for a cycle today to grab the final caches in the periodic table series. I alighted at Warnbro Station with my bike, cycle along Safety Bay Rd via Baldivis and then hit the tarmac. Finished up at Kwinana and enjoyed a well air conditioned train ride back up the freeway. All caches were in good condition unless otherwise mentioned below. Thanks to all the COs.
Massive spider here - almost as big as the palm of my hand! I found the cache very exposed here, so I tucked it away a little better. Cheers Cirrus_WA!

Had a good look around this morning. This is the second time that we have tried to find this but with no luck.
What a nice day with Skyryser. We finally finished this series. Thanks for all the caches along the bike path. TFTC
Had a great day with The-Shredder doing the remaining ones from this series. TFTC Skyryser
With our bicycles we made the series from the elements.
Here we began with Nr. 49 and are able to find every cache. Some logbook was wet, than we spent a new sheet of paper. So it was an successful day and we had a lot of fun.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Today’s mission, find 54 caches so I can get that World Turtle Souvenir. 23 down, 31 to go. TFTC
Found the cache but replaced it anyway with a brand new one that will hopefully last a few years more. Happy hunting.
Out for a day of by my lonesome, starting with a walk down the kwinnan fwy from kwinanna station to Millar road, and then a few arouns the suburbs. Only a handful of dnfs around the area, which isn't too bad

I was in the area today, and so I decided that I would have a go at tackling this cache. I stopped near GZ and started searching. I found the cache quickly but I realised that I didn't have a pen. I took a pic and will send it to C.O.
BlaKids, I found your cache ‘Uranium (92) - Periodic Table' today. It was the First find of one finds for me today and brings my total count to 827. The cache was found in a good condition so I signed the log book and replaced it as I found it. Thank you for the cache, the hide and for bringing me to this location.

Thank you! As I had a day off work, Photo_Play and I teamed up today to do the Periodic Table caches south of Thomas Road. Knowing that rain was expected in the afternoon, we made an early start on the bicycles. Most caches were straightforward finds, with a couple requiring a more thorough search.
Found It. TFTC BlaKids. My Visa was still current, so I teamed up with Ullyssia and came down to complete the Periodic Table series south from Thomas rd. Great series.
Out and about finishing the periodic table today, hopefully it stays nice and cool for this short run today.

Im after numbers for January and what better way to start than with some periodic table caches. I picked up m4yb at the end in Baldivas so she could leave her car there to save a ride back before heading to the Kwinana Train station (Free parking on Public holidays). Here we met up with Megawat60 and started our morning bike ride south (Hopefully early enough to beat the heat). We had a lovely ride with a gentle breeze keeping the temperature down for most of the way. My knees were a bit sore by the end but it was certainly an enjoyable and worthwhile morning with most of the caches quick finds shared amoungst the 3 of us. The only dampener was the 2 DNFs in a row but that makes it easier to fix. TFTC and series loubla and BlaKids
Out with WebblyWA for her numbers and m4yb for the exercise before it gets too hot.
Thanks for the series and I am glad to have it ticked off the list bar the few DNF's

The ride continues. The easterly still has enough in it to cool us, and keep most flies away. The lycra set is tolerant of us, saying Hello and several ask if all OK as we stop on the side of the path.
Good find here, TFTC!

Super day for a ride this morning and what better than to pick up a few caches. Thanks BlaKids.
Decided today was a great day for a bike ride and some caching along the way so what better series to do than this one!So we took off early this morning to see how many we could find before the bike seat became a pain in the butt! SL TFTC
Out with hhheddy & dezzabills polishing off this series by bike. It's been an interesting journey, reciting thru the table of elements one by one, like back in science class. The overall distance daunting, but just kept focused one at a time; having buddies help search effort and spur each other along to the end invaluable. As anticipated most caches were easy to find and in good condition, some required extra effort; couple out in the open, couple half-buried; dozen wet log papers. In hindsight could've been prepared to dry log papers & bring some mint tin replacement containers.
Thank you for the cache series!
Thank you for the cache series!
I have been looking at the periodic table series of caches for some time now. Since I have decided to complete a challenge I need the numbers hence the reason for the run today. I took the day off work and co=opted a couple of fellow cachers, Lazarus_68 and Dezzabills. I thought a couple of days would finish the series off, So today we set off early on our pushbikes with the idea of completing as many as we could manage. As it turns out we made it all the way to the end. We were very fortunate to find the caches quicker than expected. So to sum up the day we found 117 caches in the periodic table and a couple of extras along the way giving me a grand total of 119 for the day. Not bad if I say so myself, and surprisingly there were no DNF's so all in all a great day. The ride down from home in Como took us 6 hours and 58 minutes. While my fellow cachers took the train home I toughed it out and rode home in just over 2 hours. We stopped several times down and back for a break and a bite to eat to refuel the bodies.
This was the 93rd find of 119 for the day and was found at 1:44PM Thanks BlaKids/loubla for the cache. hhheddy

Went out for a bike ride with jackyleggs, we rode almost 30 kms
It was good exercise, but we pulled up a bit sore.

Decided today to finish off the periodic table series and rack up some numbers. Threw the treadly into the back of the ute and parked up near Sulphur Rd, Headed south along the bike path and came back via some of the back roads. 28k's and about 6½ hours later I was back at the car totally knackered. Spent a good portion of the return journey walking the bike along the busier roads.
No joy here, found lots of litter though.
BlaKids I couldn't find your cache, this was my 2nd DNF for the day. I did have 37 finds today so all is not lost.

Up in Perth for a week from Albany, this trail was number one on the list of things to do. Starting in Perth and riding south we managed to find most caches in the series with only 4 that we couldn't find! We had some test tubes of our own which we replaced with some of the more broken containers but unfortunately didn't have enough to replace them all. Thanks for the epic series guys and also for maintaining them so well!
On holidays from SA staying with Yangebup Mick , Had previously done the middle section , Was dropped off down south and Picked up at the Leach Hwy , Thanks for the fun BlaKids
This was the last cache I had planned to hit in my first section of this trail. I found the others with no problems so I feel a little embarrassed logging this one as a DNF. I made a pretty thorough sweep of the area but decided to call it a day when I literally walked face first into a giant spider! Ugh!!
Caching with S'n'N on the scooters as we hadn't taken them out for a while. Had a very successful day finding every cache we attempted The cache container has disintergrated!

Given a whole day to go caching in Perth the inner scientist in Freddo could not resist the geeky awesomeness of a Periodic Table PT. With bicycle supplied by .K.B. I travelled by train to Kwinana and folllowed the trail of elements from one end to the other. The cache finds ranged from seen as I arrived, to hides that have me looking for twice the 3 minutes I had allowed. Some caches were replaced. A few caches were unfound and will stand as DNF's.
I know these elements. My job as a metallurgist means that I deal with a large portion of the common 92 at work. There was a sense of pride reeling them off. And then there was the joy of cruising along on a bike on a beautiful winter day that actually feels like an Indian summer.
-------------------------------------------------------------
This cache was found using a Garmin GPSr, Montana 650t, Oregon 550 or Dakota 20. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK 8.

Yay! Our first from this trail with my Tiddahs. Easier than others we've tried along the trail.
Visiting from Broome and used a spare hour to catch a few of the local cache while keeping Grandie amused in her pram. Lovely walk and easy finds with similar hiding techniques. Thanks for the outing with added entertainment TFTC
Day thirty one of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Spent the day on the deadly treadlies riding a part of the Periodic Table Series. We started in the lower third at Francium, and went south until we ran out of elements, then back to the car for a picnic lunch.
After lunch we headed north as far as Holmium before calling it a day.
Two DNFs and a few replaced containers due to fire damage (BB will send you an email with details), but on the whole most were good hides, and very accurate co-ordinates.
A good sized container to base the power trail upon.
Lots of bike riding muggles (and a caching one - Hi, Clan-Wallace!), but most had their head down speeding along the trail.
A lovely day for a ride and cache.
Thanks for this section of the trail, Robmc.

# 8006. Another lovely Autumn Day, albeit a bit smoky, so Robmc and Idecided to take the bikes out again and make a good start on the Periodic Table Series. It is a great bike path and mostly protected against the wind and the noise - but not always. Francium was our first one in the series and then we headed south. It took us two hours to complete that 30, with 1 DNF - with a few longer searches and some cache maintenance along the way. After lunch we then rode northwards to grab another 19 and 1 DNF.
I have done a few puzzles based on the Table but some of these names today I have found very amusing - Nobelium, Rutherfordium, Mendelevium, Einsteinium, Curium etc. Sounds like they have just been made up to fill in some gaps. I know many are the names of scientists or universities but still they amuse me.
Thanks BlaKids

Headed Off early this morning on my scooter to complete a big section of this series.
My goal is to get my 1000 before the holidays end and this made a huge imapct on it.
Started at Einsteinium at 8.00am, 3 1/2 hours later I finished at Zirconium at 11.30am.
60 Finds in hand and No DNFs
Most being easy finds. A couple of hunts took some time but all in all a great morning.
Had to replaced a couple as they were broken.
Thanks BlaKids and loubla for this awesome series.
Sorry about the generic logs but its hard to remember all of them in a power trail.
