Be surprised if the caches have gone. They were well hidden in the long grass under those fallen over posts. Unless the area has been cleared up I suspect they are both still there if anyone is seeking archived caches. Cheers GSEL
Spent about half hour searching, no luck despite numerous hints in past logs. Am concerned that this one is gone.

As other, I had problems with this one too. The GPS wanted me on one side of the road, but all the items matching the hint here had been cleared up, so nothing apparently could be hidden there any more..

Wasn't able to find either of the caches. I found a lot more of these caches later in the day so I guess it's still there and I didn't search thoroughly enough.
Trying hard to reach a tally of 250 for July to claim a cache in Wairarapa we were running out of days. So, being the last day of the month, and despite the dismal weather forecast, we got up at 6am and were here by 8.30am to start. It was a very long day travelling around the wider Waipukurau, then down to Weber via Porangahau and back to Dannevirke to have fish and chips with my sister at 7.40pm. The last 11 cache attempts were done in the dark which was a first for us, and oh so hard! Got home around 10.45pm to our little dog who thought he had been abandoned forever. A great run and yes we achieved the numbers! It showed up our age as we were totally shattered and both struggled to find enthusiasm for work on Monday. Too many finds for individual logs so thanks to everyone who placed the caches found on the route. An extra note for this cache - it was blowing a gale and hailing and bitterly cold and oh so damn hard to find. I was about to give up thinking this was a bad omen for the day when hubby found it and we had our first smiley. Only found one cache here and was not going to waste time and freeze to death looking for a second one as previous finders mention. TFTC
When we got onto the right side of the road find was easy. Found both caches and signed them both
#2310. I was heading north today on a trip to Napier and had a list of target caches to find. Had two work colleagues with me who had not been caching before so were keen to see what the game was all about. We parked nearby and started the search. Well after about 10 minutes looking by 3 people, we had not found anything. So read through the description, hints and logs again to see if that would help. One of the logs gave me a new idea about where I should search and bingo there was the cache. Very cunning hide. Soon after we had the second container located but only signed the one found by recent cachers. Replaced both caches as found. Thanks for hiding these caches here and pleased to have this one ticked off as it was starting to look like a DNF.
Found on my third visit! We spent some time searching and, in hindsight we were very close but not thorough enough in our searching. It wasn't looking good. Fortunately two very friendly farmers turned up in separate farm vehicles. They kindly offered to show us where the cache was. They then walked to two different places several metres apart and both came up with identical containers, each with log books with fairly recent signatures! So there are two possibilities, both hidden in exactly the same way ... ha ha! Each was left in its hiding place. Thanks skindo, and very pleased to tick this one off at last
This one took quite a bit of searching around! Found on our way back from an overnight adventure to sunrise hut.
Went round in circles for a few minutes looking for this one and then made the discovery. TFTC
Gave this one a good go but had no luck.. Checked to a 15m radius with no luck.. went away to think and went back again with still no luck
I thought this was tough as the season has produced some good growing! Local guy helped me out a bit? TFTC
Arrived here, and there is Geo-Trails everywhere O.O
Well they wont be of any help to us today
Took a bit of looking and went back to car for a drink, and decided to check one more time, and found it in its hidey home.
Cache and log in good nick.
Cheers skindo

Might still be there, but with the time fleeting and still needing to put up a tent we gave up after 5 minutes of searching.
Second time looking for this one. Not surprised we didn't find it the first time. We checked all the more likely places & went back to the car to read through some previous logs in the hope of picking up some clues when the local farmer came over & asked if we were looking for the thing hidden here. He asked if we'd like some help which we happily excepted.
Even though he knew where it was, it took a little searching for it because of how long the grass is at the moment. GPS was about 10mts out for us too. We probably would not have found it without his help, so thanks for that Mr muggle farmer!
Left a pet rock - a mouse. TFTC skindo

TFTC. Up in the Hawk Bay for a bit of family R&R. How lovely to be out and about with The Cornish Tin Miner doing a little exploring.
Thanks skindo for placing the cache.

I'd had my eye on this cache amongst others to fill a gap in the 40 Degree South Challenge and as our planned route for a short break in Barnaby was going to head right past it we stopped for a look. After quite a few minutes of searching, on both sides of the road, we finally found it, although had both already looked without seeing once at the location of the hide. Very well concealed and its colour blends in so that a quick glance won't do the trick. Not a 'standard' hide from CO either, which had us looking in the wrong sorts of locations most of the time, not surprised there have been a few DNFs for this one. Was very glad to be able to find it in the end and very fitting for the Challenge as it is exactly on 40 00.000. TFTC
I was on a day trip with my mum (SunnyBunny64) and Nickhbnz and his son Lucas. Saw local farmer!
Met the local farmer when searching for this, he knew it was there, but had no idea where! He told us he had spoken to a few people looking for it, but they hadnt found it. Luckily we were lucky enough to be a finder! clue is spot on. TFTC.. 7th on our roadtrip to Palmerston North
2 adult cachers and 2 geo kids on a road trip from Napier to Palmerston North seeing how many caches we can log on our way! Met the local farmer and his very friendly dog Meg He was very pleased that we found it so that he knew where it was in future and could make sure that he didn't disturb it. He said he wouldn't give any hints away but would have fun watching others search haha It was cold and very wet while we were here so we didn't hang around for too long!

Second time here couldnt find, pretty sure i know where its meant to be but no luck.
No luck for Nic-jay and I, and the local farmer, Note the electric fence is under and packs a punch!
On a sedate 3-day road trip to Napier with Infoferret.
No luck today with a quick search. The local farmer came by to ask if we had found it saying he wished he knew where it was and what it looked like.

Yay we found it!!! Exactly where we thought it was. Second times a charm!!!! The friendly farmer stopped for some encouragement.

Obviously replaced after yesterday's did not find - thankfully after 15 minutes of looking newbie cacher Adielady thought to look again where we looked yesterday and bingo ! Note farmer is not helpful - he sent us on a wild goose chase !
On a road trip with tmann421. Had a good look around and tmann confirmed this was missing, having previously logged himself.
Replaced the container and logsheet with the CO's permission. All good to go.

Dipped my toes over the line today while on a trip to Hawkes Bay to find a couple of specific caches. TNLN SL TFTC
After our last disappointing visit and then some thought it still took a while to find. TFTC
Having previously found the 40 degree caches on highway's 1 and 2 we were keen to add this one. It took a bit of finding as it was not hidden as we were expecting, but we got there in the end. Thanks.
On our way to the Hawkes Bay for the long weekend and this cache was next on our list. A number of cacher-trails showed where others had searched recently but none of the 'obvious' locations had the cache. Only during a second search on the way back to the car was the cache finally spotted, right next to the hinted location. TFTC.
I stopped for this cache while driving north from Wellington through to Gisborne. It was a cache that I needed to finish my South 40 degrees challenge. I noticed a lot of DNFs for this one, but luckily I managed a fairly quick find here - this was helped a lot by the extensive searching of the past few finders, which exposed the areas I needed to look! Would have been a really hard find otherwise! TFTC!
Found with markhnz.
We didn't even get out of the car, but dad put our names in the log book anyway.

I couldn't find this one last year. But this time I had an extra hint from my parents who found the cache yesterday. As we approached the cache I saw a car already parked next to GZ and it turned out to be a familiar face. Nice to see ADV again.
We searched for the cache together and found it after a few minutes.
Pleased to have found this tricky hide.
Thanks.

Pretty much resigned to my second DNF at this one when markhnz suddenly appeared (great timing!) and a combined search finally revealed the cache. Very happy to tick this one off my unfounds.

As we arrived at the cache, we realized we were at a unique location. Soon after we started looking for this cache, the friendly local farmer arrived on his quad bike. He knew about the cache, and had encountered a few people looking for it, and seen others while working nearby, but he didn't know where it was. We read pogar's log to him, and told him he was now world famous! We spent some time searching hint objects, and he assisted, using the GPS app on his phone. Still unsuccessful, we read a lot of previous logs, and decided this cache wasn't just a normal hide. We decided to further investigate something we had encountered while searching, and quickly had the cache in hand. The hint is accurate, but.... At least the farmer now knows where it is. TFTC
No luck here today. Short on time & with GZ middle of the road & so many hints around, had to leave this for another day. Busy road!
This one took a while due to poor GPS signal & the locals who stopped to see if we had found the cache just after we arrived. Nicely set up cache TFTC
First one for the day heading from Wellington to Hawkes Bay for the weekend via SH50 to get most of the caches.
Just Heading for Napier but Caches like this break the journey many thanks just like a previous log its not the obvious post found after nearly giving up this is one of the best
We had quite a good look around for this, searching a number of "posts" but finally the cold wind (5C on the car thermometer) overcame our search enthusiasm. We will try next time we drive through to the Bay. TFTC
Had a look in the fading light but no go. Maybe another time when I next pass by.
Mmmmm, another of those ones. Wonder why.
Note variable fortunes here of recent times.

Couldn't locate this one, even with the farmer stopping to help. He crops the paddocks and didn't know about the geocache, but does now. I think he will be having another sneaky peek. I hope he has better luck than we did.
Would've liked to search longer but the beep on the horn meant returning back to the car.
Out on a Geocaching road trip with my wife and dog, and having a run in our new convertible.
No luck here, second DNF of our little roadtrip.

Found while traveling from Gisborne to Wellington today. Took a while to find the right post. Definately not the most obvious posts. TFTC.
en route to conf in napier so had to fnd at least one on the way.....
Quick find, first cache on Highway 50 with the Seagnoid, on our way to Gisboure for the NI National Daffodil Show. Thanks for the cache.
Here with popmac on a geocaching / daffodil trip. Popmac grows daffodils and is taking a bunch to a daffodil tournament thingy in Gisborne with plans to cache along the way, and I came along for the ride.
This is our first cache of the day, and frankly it is boring. And then I checked the title. Ah. With a cache like this you don't get much choice, here is where it must be.
Geocache streak now 63 days long.

On our beautiful trip from Auckland to Wellington and return we stopped at this nice spot and found this cache. We found many nicely hidden containers.
We would like to thanks everyone for showing us such nice locations and of course, the numerous caches.

After a quick toilet stop it was on to finding this cache. Slightly overshot the hide and had to back track. Well concealed in the long grass, now off to get back on the highway before Granny catches back up. Some drivers need to learn when to pull over and let others pass! TFTC

Hello and greetings from Scotland!
We had a long drive fom Napier to Wellington today, so we decided to break up the journey with a few caches. This one fitted the bill nicely.
This was one I was keen to get because of the location. I had to park the campervan a good bit past the cache location and walked back. The hint had me at the wrong place for a while, but then it clicked. T4TC!
