Auckland Anniversary: We’ve escaped the atrocious weather that has smashed the top of the North Island. Hopefully things won’t be as rough down the country. We’re hoping Taranaki will have enough sunshine and blue skies for our visit…
It was really too dark in here to be sure. This may need checking.

Couldn't find this one today, hunted around for ages. Lot's of broken glass everywhere so needed to be careful. It was really wet under foot after the stormy weather. Will try again on a better day.
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

once i worked out where it wasn't it took very little time to find where it was, tftc
Thanks hot rods 2005 for the cache. It’s #1384 for us. We found your cache on 15 February 2021. Team effort to locate and retrieve container. Nice hide.

#12,185. A short walk in Eltham. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. After a bit of a search, and widening the area and coming back to near where we started, we eventually found it about 6 metres away. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Well GPS didn't like this spot so took a lot of looking then I saw a man-made hole but it was empty. So looked around some more & went back & felt around the back & there it was. I have put it back so should be better for the next person. Tftc
Thanks to good coords and hint we found this cheeky little brighter snugly tucked away and I will definitely have to wash Tui’s trousers tonight- dirty knees for sure!! TFTC
Didn’t think we were going to get this one but the sharp eyes of Miss 7 saved us. TFTC
gps was leading me down the garden path and then some so stopped ,turned it off then on again and way i went cache in the bag.
Hard to find this one today, as per the hint I find every other one, then just about to start the track again And boom there it was looking at me. Signed the log in put back in place
Found it eventually. Lots of little spots it could have been. Hint helped. Will have to explore the near by path another time. Realizing now (this is my second find) that this could get addictive
A nice quick find today, once the GPS had settled down.
It's time to start the trek home. This time down the NOrth Island west coast to catch a few more of the TMTG series.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We are back in Eltham after just checking out Dawson Falls. Not raining today so stopped off to check out this one. Replaced cache here with Temp RITR log to keep this one rolling along. Cheers
Day 6- Thursday 19 December. Hawera to Okato and back the inland route. Then back to pick up Zara and head to New Plymouth.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

CO may want to check on this as i have found this previously and it doesn't appear to be there - if I'm in the area where I have found a previous cache, I will sometimes see if I can spot it again
Took the little drive during lunch hour to get this. Only took a short time to spot a likely hole and managed to retrieve its contents without dirtying the knees. Thanks for bringing me here.

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I now go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
The plan for the day is to head up to Opunake and log as many of the active caches that I can find there, once I have done that I will then head over to Eltham and log a couple of more caches there before heading back home
Last time I was here I was unable to go looking for this cache a there was a sporting event going on planning on coming back at a later date and today the day only a couple of muggle in the park so I headed off to ground zero I spent a bit of time looking for the caches hiding place but wasn't having much luck so I sat down at a nearby bench to gather my thoughts and decide to give it one more go and it paid off
Thanks for the cache

Heading up to Stratford to watch some of the Jr. Cachers play hockey in a secondary tournament and had a few caches planned along the way. The last cache in Eltham before we needed to carry on to Stratford and thankfully the heavy showers that were passing through the area were holding off for now. A bit damp underfoot but the GPSr took us straight to GZ for a quick find. TFTC.
Today it was time to locate and sign off the caches in and around Eltham and Normanby.
No dirty knees for me here.
Cheers for the cache.

So... stopped in at work (on a non work day) to say hello to some people on site as I waited for the tractor to stop mowing the lawn... once he was done, and I'd finished my cup of tea, I headed across the grounds and towards GZ. After a bit of a scramble trying not to get my pants dirty the cache was in hand, and I was on my way again... you see today I'm On my way from New Plymouth to Taumaranui, the long way via Wanganui picking up caches on the way! A group of us are meeting up in Taumaranui tomorrow to take a jetboat down the Wanganui river! Yippee! should be cool (in both senses of the word).
Heading home after being in waitara visiting the mother in law for mothersday .
We probably took the long way to this one not quite expecting what we found but we will take the find and the smiley . TFTC and the smiley.

Mrs Mud found this after me and another companion were over thinking it. Found after a short stroll around the park with a couple of dogs. TFTC Cheers!
Clue made this a v quick easy find. Knees still clean though Lovely little bush fragment in Eltham! Thanks for giving me an excuse to visit it. Tftc
it had not helped much to use muscles, so we used brain instead and voila! cool hide ;
Great clue thanks. Very quick find even though gps didn't like the trees.
Returned after last week's newbie mistake of having no pen with me only to arrive at the park to see a dog being walked right toward ground zero. Went and sat at the nearby stand and dealt with a few texts on the phone then heading in and logged the find.
All found in good order with nice new log sheet to boot.
Cheers.

A quick find of a nicely hidden cache, and we didn't have too much trouble extracting it. TFTC
Took the long way home after the Mega. finding lots of caches in new areas. TFTC
Took the fam a while to find this one
But FYI the log is ripped and needs replacing,
We couldn't even write our username :/
But all in all good find TFTC

Not too difficult to spot, other hunters around by the looks of them so grabbed this one after a quick bushwalk
The groundsman looked at me sideways as I went past but I have him a friendly wave and headed down the path... once out of sight I tried approx 10 hinted objects before finding the well hidden cache
Signed and replaced as found.

Up this way for the weekend and heading up to the Stratford Mountain House for lunch and caching on the way there and back. Approached this cache from the park while a soccer game was on, but given the cover here, we were well protected from muggles spotting us. Spent a bit of time here, looking in likely spots and eventually found the cache where the GPSr said it was....GPSr had been wandering a bit under the canopy. A good container with a bit of camo tape for added disguise. Log was nice and dry but I could not sign as I had cleverly left the pen in the car and as the rain had started proper I did not go back for the pen.
Thanks for the placement hot rods 2005.

A game is on so didnt even try ... but gives me reason to come back and visit
This cache had been muggled but we found it and replaced it back where we thought it should be according to the co-ordinates and hint. The log had been ripped but there is enough to sign. We didn't have a replacement log with us sorry.
Yet another for the day this one was juggled and spread all over found by my caching buddies for the day
Found with Renee. We did the long walk, down and around. Whatch out for the chestnuts. Thanks
Found...what a time to be in Taranaki - Americana weekend! All sorts of Hot Rods around and American flags everywhere. TFTC
Good morning, had a delightful walk geocaching this morning.
Had to beg a pen off the Fonterra staff cos I forgot one, he gave me a broken one which he was glad to be rid of, I was super stoked, beggars can't be choosers
I'm on a Scrapbooking weekend but can't pass up playing my other passion

Was going to do today 22/02/16, but got warned a wasp nest had been disturbed down the path somewhere on the 21/02/2016, so just be wary
One of seven found on our return trip from New Plymouth to Wellington today. Thanks to a useful hint we managed to locate this one with little difficulty. #1077. TFTC.
Great hide and good clues. Nice easy find that indeed left us with dirty knees ☺ TFTF
Yay we found it. J first find. Was a little tricky with lots of muggles around. Had to be sneaky but retrieved it cleanly.
