DKMacca and I searched here twice for about 40 minutes in vain. We found the rock in the hint, but alas no cache. Sad to come all this way without claiming a find.

A bit of a dreary morning but a glorious place to visit and worth the effort to get there.

We walked via the Walls, Dixon's camp, via the gorgeous Lake Ball, down here to camp. Better under the trees than near the lake with all the leeches. A truly great hike.
Thanks for putting this little cache to top it off.

Found while hiking the Walls circuit over 3 days. This is my first multi-day hike and I don’t think it could have been any better! such a beautiful and pristine part of the world. Sunrise from Mt Jerusalem this morning was divine. I would definitely come back and explore more. We saw 2 tiger snakes while camping at Lake Adelaide but they kept to themselves.
P.S. The downloaded map data was handy leaving the camp heading back to the car park, as the trail was a little tricky to follow and quite overgrown at times.
The cache is in good condition.
Thanks Spreyton22

TFTC, was able to find the cache no probs. Looks like some spiders have made their home around the cache. Just FYI be careful when flipping over rocks.
Hard to get to but an easy find once here. We found this cache at the end of a two night walk through the area. This cache is a herpetologists dream. We found a Casuarina skink guarding the cache and noted that Shazcol saw a white-lipped snake in the same spot a while back. The skink was not at all disturbed by our signing of the log and stayed put through the entire operation. TFTC.
My younger son, Jeremy, and I had walked in yesterday via Dixon's Kingdom Hut, then down to Ball Lake. Our aim was to head out, via a loop, past Lake Adelaide and then back to the carpark. It ended up being an awesome walk, with about 30cm of snow dumped overnight. Admittedly, walking the day in this was a bit harder as the tracks mostly disappeared, but we were out by around 3pm exhausted and pleased with the experience.
I'm not logging a DNF as the 30cm of snow at GZ made it more or less impossible to dig around trying to find anything. This was a beautiful spot to come to, I'm hoping to get back again to find this cache, when conditions are a little easier!
best wishes,
Wal

I can't believe that no one has been in here to find the cache since March. I'm a kiwi and loved the walk, and easy find. Lovely camping spot.
Second to Find.
We camped two nights at Wild Dog Creek and hiked up Mount Jerusalem and Solomon's Throne, before continuing the walk to Lake Ball, Lake Adelaide and back to the vehicle. Lake Adelaide was beautiful with still water and some lovely areas to camp amongst the trees. If only it was not so cold with a dusting of snow on our first night, we would have been tempted to stay another night. TFTC. A favourite and no snake for us.

I originally planned to do this as a through over night walk but not enough time this weekend so I started at the carpark with a day pack around 7:15 after getting up early and driving down from L'ton. Lots of rain squalls during the early morning and the wind had a good chill factor about it at times. I had the cache in hand just before 9AM. The cache was fully exposed but when I lifted the flat rock up a small white lipped snake was in residence along side the cache so be careful. I placed it back under the rock after signing the log and moved the snake over a bit, much to its disgust.
The day was young so I thought I would pop over to Lake Ball for a look not having done that section before and then I just kept going, Lake Ball, Dixons and out via Wild Dog and the main track. A pretty solid days walk of about 24km.
I met some interesting people at and near the Wild Dog campsite. One woman came running up to me as I was the first person she had seen and she could not find the visitors center to buy a map from! I explained this was not Cradle Mountain and showed them mine. Two females from Queensland struggling up to trappers carrying two packs each! Several quite unprepared groups doing day walks to Mt Jerusalem.
It was a great day, thanks Spreyton22.
