Despite an extensive search around what seemed the likely location, we too were unable to find this cache. TFTC
A day in the Wairarapa today beginning in Featherston, then onto Martinborough, over to Carterton and behind then down to Greytown for the night. 18 Ad labs, 22 trads, 22 mystery and 1 multi, 4 muggled out so didn't look and only one DNF.
A quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.

After leaving the nearby walking trail I had been following since the corner of Udy and North Street, I began following this dirt road alongside the nearby river. After taking a quick peak at my GPS, I noted an object in the distance that I believed the geocache would be hidden near. As I approached this object, my GPS narrowed down its coordinates and, sure enough, I had arrived at GZ. Based on previous caches on this trail and recent logs, I didn't believe this one would be too difficult to find. I spent a few minutes searching around GZ and potential hint object, but was unsuccessful in locating the cache. I took one final peak in a spot I hadn't searched before and fortunately the cache was sitting there. It took me a lot longer to find this cache than I would like to admit. Fortunately, the cache and its contents were all in good condition, and it was great to sign a relatively fresh logsheet as well. I rehid the cache after signing the logsheet and continued on my way to the final cache at the end of this trail.

I am supposed to be tramping but weather is not playing ball, so I only went for a day walk. And spent the rest of the time mucking about the lower Wairarapa. I had been aiming to do this series, and the archived other half further up, for quite a while. Now's my chance.
Ruddy long walk back to the car after I had done both sets. And of course, it was at the start of the long walk back that it started raining...

Been working in Masterton this week and had today off. Headed down to Greytown to try and get rid of three sad blue faces. Managed to find two of them. Enjoyed the stroll to GZ and soon spotted the cache. Thanks for the replacement since I was last here.
After a circumnavigation of the obvious item I found the cache after working my around about 330 degrees. It never works out that I go the right way! The cache was in a nice hidey spot but wait, why do I have no pen? Luckily the previous cache is very close and I know I had it there. So back there to find the pen, not on the table where I imagined I left it but right next to the cache where I dropped it and momentarily lost it in the grass. Luckily it was easier to find after dropping it again. (it really wants to stay here it seems!) Back to this cache's hiding spot to return the cache and finally move on. TFTC.
Tried to find this a while ago. Thanks for replacing it. Good ride out with my daughter

Apologies, completely forgot about this. Have made up a new container, hope to replace in a couple of days.
Had trouble even figuring out where to look as there are no real features at the GZ.
Not quite sure what above ground means. Had a bit of a look and feel around and found nothing. Also makes me wonder with there being so many DNF's lately.
Had a good look but have doubts the presence of #6, think it has been disturbed, gone, disappeared, kaput.
A nice stroll along here this evening. Thanks for more smilies and for the exercise. Cheers definitely gone have put replacement in obvious place and contacted. Co.
Just finished a week of work in Masterton and now have a few days free to collect some caches in the region. Was here on foot a few days ago but decided to return on my bike to complete this series. Sadly unable to find this one.
Decided to take the train over to Woodville and look at what caches I could find by doing a circuit to the town and back within the 6 hours between trains between Wellington and Woodville. Happy to report that many were found but a few DNF as indicated. Happy to get this one.
Greetings from Texas. When we found it , it was on the ground. We tried to replace it the best we could.
Apologies- we completely overlooked this. We are now away in the South Island for a couple of months so unable to check. Will definitely make this a priority on our return some time in May. Note that all the GTPT series from 8 - 18 have been disabled until we can check on the trail’s status ourselves.
Oh this short section could be driven, I get it now.
We spent a while searching for this one, then noticed it hadn't been found for a while so decided to move on.

O dear, the rain that was threatening is here! A nice and quick find. I used my bike and most of the trail was ridable,Track is nice and wide from here!. Cheers.
More biking, walking and driving today, Masterton to Wellington so we can catch the ferry back to the mainland
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Visiting Greytown for an overnight visit. Drove out to have a look at the river and to collect a couple from this trail which was being enjoyed by walkers and kids on bikes. Another straight forward find with good coordinates, thanks.
Out caching in and around Greytown this morning as part of a weekend in the Wairarapa. Quick grab here, tftc!
This one took a little while, but not too long. first place we looked was where cache was but we didn't look well enough and got distracted by geotrail by IanL#1 who we knew was ahead of us.
Another one that took slightly longer to find, after not spotting it in the usual places. TFTC
Thanks for placing these caches. I had a pleasant day wandering around Greytown picking up a few caches.
We had a lovely Mother's Day walk along this trail, thank you for placing the cache. (I see there is no longer a number 5, but I have a guess where it was located!)
Teamed up with Linke and a nephew to walk the trail and collect all the caches (we got most of them). Parked a car at Woodside station and drove to the start at GTPT1. Walk took a little longer than planned but delays in hunting caches caused this. Weather was generally good, with some drizzle. The trail was more overgrown then we expected, and almost all of the caches have waterlogging issues. (Apologies for the cut n paste nature of the logs, and for the delay in logging). TFTC.

Found the cache in the obvious place but where the heck is my pen, retraced my movements but couldn't find it, back to the car for the spare. TFTC
#3156. I decided to come over to the Wairarapa today so I could find 30 caches as part of the requirements for the MGSc challenge. Due to a silly mistake leaving my plastic cards and money behind in Wellington, I had to concentrate on caches around Masterton and Greytown today instead of ones further east so I had enough petrol to drive back to Wellington. I parked by the start of the track and headed off walking along the trail. Nice quick find here. Signed and returned as found. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a day around the Greytown area to catch up on quite a few caches that have sprung up in the last little while. Not too bad a day for it, and a good chance to get the mtb out on the river trail. Good to have fozzmiester along for the day too.

Found on a MTB ride along the Lions cycle trail to Woodside train station then down the rail trail back to Greytown.
Tftc!
