4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard but the cupboard was bare.

Unfortunately couldn't find, had a really good look around but it's only my second cache so maybe I missed it

12 months on and another DNF. Hope this little guy hasn't scuttled off again.

A lovely little park, and I was very happy to make a quick and easy find in the obvious spot. Nice little cache container too.

Easy find thanks for the cache. Couldn't see it at first but it was right where my instincts told me it'd be. Almost got sprung by muggles as I was replacing it. TFTC

Another great day with the sun shining and warm day compared to the long winter we have had.

Found a variety of cache types today as we cleared the map in and around the canningvale area. Drove past work on multiple occasions today however not once was I keen to go in.

Hoped to pick up a cache or two on the way home but no joy here.

I was in the area again today and decided to give this cache a try. I parked nearby and headed to the GZ. The cache was found fairly quickly despite the numerous places to search. This is a very nice park for a cache and I enjoyed the hunt. Thank you for bringing me to this wonderful location.

Grammie & Grumpy, I found your cache 'Akania Park ' today. The cache was found in good condition and I replaced it as I found it. This cache is find number 256 for me and was the second and final find of two today. Thanks for the cache.

As it gets closer to the warm months, the mornings are getting "slightly" lighter meaning an opportunity to grab the odd cache before work.

Cache replaced with a small cylindrical plastic container. Please replace log in bag to ensure it stays dry.

Found 3 pieces of the log torn and lying on the ground where we thought GZ should be but no cache container in sight. Have sent a message to the CO.

01 Feb 2015. Had a look see but no find. The cubby house appears to have been abandoned.

Think this cache has been taken, had a long search at and around co-ordinates but not joy. Kids have been building a fort at what looks to be the cache location

Didn't really look hard once I saw the kid's cubby. Especially at waist height. TFTC anyway. Nice park!

Sorry had a good look but couldn't find, not sure if kids may have found when they built a cubby house here.

I'd been on the hunt for a few outstanding caches in this area and had some time up my sleeve. Had a quick find of a cache type I've not seen before (very effective too), signed the log and headed for a couple more before dark sets in.

Took the geodog for a walk and located this cache. Was worried this one may be missing as some local kids had made a cubby at GZ.

Dropped in here and found this one quite quickly, nice hide. Cache container working well.

Spent the day caching around the southern suburbs of Perth.
We visited a variety of parks, and cache hides.

Quick easy find!

I had driven past this area a couple of times but the park was always being used by muggles for exercise. Today there was no one around and I parked the car, grabbed the cache and signed the log. A neat wee cache. TFTC Grammi & Grumpy

After work with the Richlink and ILuvTrekking teams to find a few quick ones. Mrs. ILuvTrekking spotted this one quickly.

We spent the day with our Geobuddies richlink caching the area and dodging the rain. We bumped into Jacobscrew on our travels so joined forces to finish the day. A quick find here thanks Grammie & Grumpy.

I was being pulled away from cache by Jazl so detoured as she had found a softball I did check it out just in case.
Lots of searching going on here found in second place I looked only because of the cover being used to hide it. Have Amstraded it for a more natural hide.
Nice idea for a container although I always use them up myself.

I'd just got back from high tea at C Restaurant when I saw some caches posted and a couple close to home. As I was just walking up to GZ, I saw chwiliwr and gwibber pull up and was soon joined by them. Lucky for me too, as I'd checked the hiding spot and missed the cache, so was seconds off a DNF. TFTC!

Like the previous cache Gwiber and I had been here earlier but couldn't find the cache so after the previous find we decided to try again.

Arrived and noticed duncdonut73 was already there but had only just started looking. I started checking spots again and this time managed to find the cache.
