Found it! After a morning event at Tailem Bend I decided to start on the Signal caches I had recently finished solving. Its a warm-ish humid morning with storms forecast for later in the day. Quick find. TFTC!
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group is working from Murray Bridge, in particular the Oz Mega 2014 Signal Geo-art. We are using the Acronym 4 for QLD to sign the log sheets. We had solved all the puzzles before leaving Queensland. It was a pleasant drive through that countryside, and we were pleased to find all the caches on our list. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 7th March 2024. TFTC, OzFiresafe.
TFTC smile out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few caches in Adelaide heading to cache Down south today signing as 5 for Qld Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda , what a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun Thank you OzFiresafe for placing this cache for our enjoyment
After attending the Great Leap Forward in Adelaide it was time for us to find more geocaches.I'm travelling and caching with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan, grannysmith1974 and signed logs as 5 for QLD.I'm having a great time on my first visit to SA. TFTC

Having solved the Sudoku and acquired the coordinates some time ago it was now that I am spending a few days in Tailem Bend before attending the Leap Year Mega in Adelaide that I am able to make the search for these caches. All were found in good condition unless specifically mentioned. Thank you to the COs who obviously have put in a great deal of time and effort in forming this geoart and placing and maintaining the caches.
Found a chewed container but it wasnt it (removed the geo-litter). Cache is all good here.Caching in the Murray Bridge area with a focus on completing the Signal the Frog geo-art. Sandyofthesea and I are supporting a crazy running mate who has run the length of NZ, Tassie and has got to Murray Bridge. Today, he is off to Littlehampton and his goal is Darwin.OzFiresafe, I found Oz Mega 2014 Signal #65 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
TFTC. Some of those Sudoku puzzles were a little tricky at times. Watchout for the colour changes. Solved them all only days b4 setting off to sign all the logs
Continuing my South Australian adventure, I came to this solved puzzle. Where containers were damaged, I did my best to replace them. The ones I couldn't find are logged as DNFs. Otherwise, logs were signed and everything returned as found, before I continued on my way.I continued on my way. TFTC
Solved this eons ago.Whilst in the surrounding area, decided ton stop and pick up a puzzle.Quick find. Tftc
While staying at the Frank Potts Reserve we tackled some of the Oz Mega 2014 Signal Series. Thanks OzFiresafe for these puzzles tftc
One of 42 Signal The Frog caches found today in order to claim Challenge Cache GC4HQ2T. I’ve been chipping away slowly at this series, but after logging 60 Unknown caches at Sedan this morning, I saw an opportunity for meeting the above mentioned challenge. Coincidentally, the 60 earlier caches were a tribute to the CO of this series. And I’ve still several caches left to do on another day.
Despite being the weekend, the roads were very quiet today. Excellent coords, but alas some of these caches are being worn down by the years now.
Thank you OzFiresafe for the cache and the series.

A lot cooler forecast today than yesterday's 37 degrees, so the decision was made to grab the "Signal" caches. Most were easy finds but a few took us a tad longer.
TFTC
Today we solved the last sudokus and changed the coordinates of the signal caches.
Then we've been driving to Murray Bridge to find the caches.
We found all but one very easily.

Off out out into the country today with Wollaston, we decided to start chipping away at the GeoArt trail ‘Signal’ originally set up for OzMega 2014.
A later than normal start, we left ‘home’ after lunch and found our first cache early afternoon, very overcast day 15 degrees but thankfully not raining.
Thanks to the many hands and minds taking time to set out hides and showing us your part of the world

Apologies for the generic log
On a fine Saturday I set out with Southern Cross Caching an Uni and Medusa for a day around Murray Bridge. There were a couple of new series published recently and it seemed like a good place for a day out.
We started at the Lonely Lookout Cache, and I think this is the third cache I've found in this location over the years. Then went on to Slow Mail, and a few others around Eastern Murray Bridge.
After an average coffee at OTR we started the Australian Mountain Peak series, with a short side hussle for some bush fishing and then to Sunnyside. Its been years since I found the other cache at Sunnyside, and glad to see its still there. As a kid we used to live nearby and my parents would go skiing and fishing here with friends. I also spent a lot of time hanging around footy ovals on Saturday afternoons while my dad umpired the local games.
Following on from the Mountain Peaks we ventured on to the SAR series. I was thinking South Australian Railways, but it turned out to be rivers. I am surprised that dry South Australia has so many rivers!.
Turning back towards Murray Bridge we caught up on some of the more recent Wandering Heroes, I have met and know a lot of the heroes, but some are still just names and I hope to meet you in future.
Then on to the Hairy Armpit Series, but I misread that and it seems its Happy Armpit Series. The former is funnier
Getting late in the afternoon we still had an hour or so of daylight, so started on the Oz Mega Signal series. This was interesting because I remember riding my bicycle along this stretch of road in the 1970's as a 9 year old participating in a cub camp. We had to ride from Murray Bridge to a farmhouse near where we spent the night in a shed in the farm that fronts number #66, then rode to Jervois Oval the following day. All roads being gravel and having skinny tyres it was a long and grueling ride for a 9 year old. And the night was freezing.
All caches were found except for one DNF, and on the last three caches the rainstorm had finally hit and we were drenched, and it was completely dark. Finding a cache by torch in the bush in the dark in a wind and rain storm, well it stopped being fun and we decided to leave the final cache for another day. Over 200 caches found and this helps with a challenge cache that I've found but not logged in Victoria.
Thanks OzFiresafe for placing and maintaining the cache

This one was found on a big day out with shonkylogic and Unicycle. Our plan was to knock of the AMP mountain series along with the South Australian Rivers series, then head for the old 2014 Signal series. We almost achieved our goal of all three (after a few additions to the plan) which included a bush fishing expedition, a submarine hunt, quite a few wandering hero’s (including one up a tree) and several other caches here and there along the route but not far out of the way. We also found two down on the river bank at Sunnyside, which was one of several highlights for the day. We started around seven AM and finished after dark in pouring rain and a howling wind which put an end to our day as it was no longer fun, falling short of finishing the signal series but not before reaching a milestone of over 200 finds for each of us for the day. We only had one DNF for the day which was a great find to DNF ratio.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Cheers and Happy Hunting

Found at 18:01 on what started out as a perfect caching day with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. Perfect right up to the last three or so, where it was getting dark, cold, windy and rainy. In the end, that defeated us, even though there was just one cache left in the plan.
We had lunch somehwere along the Karoonda Highway at a picnic table, sandwiches supplied by Southern Cross Caching, chilli sauce supplied by Shonkylogic. The mozzies were a bit troublesome, but nothing compared to SXC's encounter with a snake.
It was so good to get out on one of these runs. There were plenty of old caches which have been on the must-do list for years, but also some newies.
Thanks for the hides

22,633. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.
This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 9 of our adventures took us to Murray Bridge for a few days camping and caching. Signal the Frog was our main aim for today. All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.
Thanks OzFiresafe !!

After a week in Adelaide, it is time for Fitzy_1965, the two two-kids and I to start on the slow road towards home. Have decided to stop in Murray Bridge for a few nights and hit a trail or two.
Signal was our target today. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated.

Today we set out to conquer the Signal, and conquer we did. Our two cache and one driver team cached until lunch where we made it to #33 (45th find). We popped home for lunch then two of us continued the remaining of the series in the afternoon. We had completed the whole series, two extra caches and a new cache placement before 4.30pm. It was a ‘no rush’ casual and enjoyable days caching. Thanks to the CO for the placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, I headed out for a solo geocaching day around Murray Bridge, with my main aim to complete the *Oz Mega 2014 Signal* power trail. It wasn't planning to be the nicest day with its weather, with scattered showers forecast. So spending the day mostly in the car, didn't feel too bad. I managed to complete the trail in just under four hours, and then headed to Murray Bridge to find a few geocaches on the south side of town, and then heading to its centre. With the last remaining daylight, I then completed the first section of *Bindi's GeoMobiles* series, after having completed the other section with gridge98 some months ago. It turned out to be a pretty good day; perfect to what I ended up doing, with minimal rain in the end, and a cold day to help my fitness getting in/out of the car. The full rain seemed to have fallen when I was driving back to Adelaide in the evening too.
These Oz Mega 2014 puzzles took a while to solve, even with some assistance from the internet. I wondered if I had solved them by hand, by the end of the 89th cache, I could read sudokus like others can read a second language?
As previously mentioned, all up, this trail took me just under four hours to drive. Some caches were immediately spotted from pulling up with a quick find, while others had a good 10-15 min devoted to searching. The SPORs and white rocks that pinpointed the cache were great, but I seemed to struggle on the "tree" caches, where the cache could have been at the base, in a hollow, or cable tied on higher, and frequently those appeared in denser growth locations. All in all, I didn't mind driving this trail today, and certainly, in the early-middle sections, my morale had dropped after trying to study and countdown each cache, but at least the separation of caches in section allowed a piecemeal approach.
A find without a lot of difficulties. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks OzFiresafe for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

29.09.19 tftc so finally found some friends that know how to do suduko puzzles, we were unfortunately overseas when the Oz Mega was on in our own back yard, so we planned to do a whole lot today, Bublyn had spent 3 days working out the puzzles, Redrover 09 carefully plotted the co-ords into the GPS and I sat in the car, so today we found 38 and 1 DNF plus one cranky brown snake, thanks for a great daye

TFTC. We had solved all of this series of puzzles a few weeks ago during the heatwave in Victoria. We decided to take a trip to Murray Bridge and relieve the cabin fever we have had. We arrived in Tailem Bend and took the ferry over the river to attempt the series. The co-ordinates for all the caches were spot on and given the time these caches have spent in the weather most of them are in really good shape. Where the container has perished we have noted that in the individual log. A great day of caching.
Almost finished the series, this evening out with geokid#2 gnomeo2007. Signed logs as DHC.
I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my second full day of caching and it started out by completing the rest of the OzMega Signal series that I had made a tart on yesterday. I had solved them all before Xmas which turned out to be an easier task than I had anticipated. Fortunately I had found a great spot to stay overnight at the airfield nearby so I was able to make an early start in the area. A few of the containers and logs are showing their age but all were found with good coordinates in likely hiding spots. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series OzFiresafe.
Having solved the Oz Mega Signal series quite some time ago I have often had the desire to actually head out and find the series. However, for some reason I never got around to it. That was until today when late in the afternoon I decided to head down to the bridge that I own and make a start. An enjoyable afternoon was had, starting with a few random caches beforehand a start was made on the series itself. After getting into a caching mojo, caches were found very quickly, so quickly there was even time to stop and have a chat with a local farmer. As the sun slowly set in the sky it was time to call it a day, with the plan to come back tomorrow and finish the series off. An enjoyable day was had with all caches found.

Since we planned to visit Adelaide, a plan was hatched to solve and find Signal, after all, his face is almost like a trademark with geocaching, you seem to see it on so many adverts, and emails and our plan is to have him completed as a geo art.

Today was my 3rd and final visit to the signal series. Solved the last lot and today made the drive out to pick them all up after Goodlooks Social Butterfly brekkie event in Malvern.
All caches found quickly and all in relatively good condition. Today found lots of different types of container. Thankfully no snakes sighted but did see loads of sleepy lizards stupidly crossing roads. Only saw one fatality.
TFTC and series have enjoyed completing them over the last 18 months.

Before leaving home we solved close on 1000 puzzles to find while we were on holiday. This was one series that was solved (although I have now discovered I missed solving one) so we set out this afternoon to find them all (except for the unsolved one of course). There were only a couple of issues which I will detail in my log for #1, the rest were nice quick finds. We managed to get all caches found and signed off just before the rain hit. tftc
2nd day staying in Murray Bridge for caching day. Perfect weather to drive around to catch up OzMega Signal series. Nice and found. Thanks OzFiresafe for the series.
Finished these puzzles over a year ago, last time I was In SA I didn't get over this side of the city. Spent to much time doing the fish artwork. but back again for round two. Most were found easy, couple a little bit harder. Tftc
Headed out to complete the Signal caches, while chasing Hidden Creatures! It's taken me a year and a bit of picking at them occasionally to complete.
Out for a couple of hours geocaching while on holidays in SA. Solved puzzles before coming. A chilly afternoon. TFTC

Out caching for the day with GoodLook to do some of Signal geoart. Log signed as GLAM.
CP had provided a replacement to fix this one which we put at GZ and consistent with the hint.
Thanks for the cache OzFiresafe. Found on 24 Mar 2018 at 2:18 pm. Find #6196.

When we heard that the Oz Mega puzzles had been archived, it made us realise we really need to clean up the puzzles we have solved in our little black book, so here we are celebrating fathers day. Happy Fathers Day to all dads, and TFTC
Tackled this series with hevwalker today. Had lots of fun although as Heather said there was lots of talking and we overshot a few. But we got better as the day went on.
Went into Murray Bridge for lunch and had some yummy sushi which kept us going.
We also did a bit of cache maintenance along the way.

I solved these puzzles in April 2015 when I was recovering from the flu...
Today Ismartis & I completed the series...
It took longer than we had planned as we were talking too much and overshot the caches...lots of U-turns involved...

After a late cancellation of an appointment and the chance of reasonable weather, I made a snap decision to spend the day on my own completing this series.
It was an interesting trip around the back roads, with some caches well-hidden and others more obvious. I enjoyed the variety in containers and hides.
I ended up with 86 finds and 3 DNFs. Most of the containers were in reasonable order, although a few are in need of repair/replacement (specific notes made in logs for these caches and #1).
It was interesting that I was approached on three separate occasions by landholders asking what I was doing. It seems that there may have recently been some (non-caching related) problems in the area. After a short chat, they all went away happy enough.
I was fortunate that the weather held out and, with the exception of a brief shower, it was a very pleasant day.
Thanks OzFiresafe for the series.

Our third visit to signal but this time we are determined to finish the set. TFTC.
Although they are all solved, we won't have time to look for them all on this visit. Thank you for going to all the trouble of making this great series that has taken us on roads less travelled. These are exactly the roads that we love. Thank you for all the caches and for bringing us here.
Day 4 of our SA trip had us leaving our camping spot in Palmer nice and early and heading towards Murray Bridge [^]. Of course there were many power trails collected including the geo art
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to OzFiresafe for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Oz Mega 2014 Signal #65 today. This is my find #7542 and find #278 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again OzFiresafe for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

I had decided to have a couple of days in Murray Bridge mainly to get the Signal power trail and then some others along the way. [^]
Had spent quite a bit of time working out the coordinates and then plotting my route to save too much back tracking.
I was a little worried about the weather as rain threatened, then a couple of showers where I got quite damp especially when I had to walk through very wet undergrowth. Thankfully most of the day was reasonably fine and I didn't have to abort.
Had a good day with most of the coords being spot on, some caches were easy to find, others a little more difficult.
I had to jump a fence at #16 to retrieve the cache about 50 metres into the paddock. I did replace #13 and #89 as they were clearly not there. Replaced the log in a plastic bag at #47 as this log was mush. Also replaced the log in a new container at #69 as this container was falling apart and was completely filled with water. Other containers were a little worse for wear but log books were dry so left them as they were.
Thanks for the cache and the series OzFiresafe, I am glad I have now completed this one.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today we drove back to Adelaide from Murray Bridge. Main target for today was Oz Mega 2014 puzzle trails.

it had been a good day to do this trail - we found almost all of them, but as previous cachers have written, some need maintenance or are gone
anyhow - just perfect

I was accompanied by 'Roogles!' & ‘Library Ladies’ on this find. Together, we’ve been geocaching all over Australia for the past month… and I thank you very much for adding to our adventure!
Found it while on a Geocaching road trip with 'Library Ladies' and 'The Jackaroo!'
On this trip we are signing log-sheets with the team name, "Team SoExp" to save space on log-sheets. Thanks for this geocache today - it's a part of a great series that I'm very happy to have found... Geo-art Puzzle Cache Owners are awesome! Thanks!

Found with The Jackaroo and Roogles!. We are using the team name Team SoExp. For this adventure we used labels to speed things up some. We had solved the puzzles for this geoart awhile back knowing that we would be visiting Adelaide. The puzzles were fun to work on and, with 2 solvers, didn't take very long. Most of the caches in this series were quick finds, but several took a bit of searching. There wasn't much traffic, which helped make searching easier. We even spotted a few of the caches from the car!! TFTC!
Another weekend, another short drive from home to complete the Signal series.
Despite the recent rains, the roads were all still in good enough condition for our little geomobile.
Most caches were found quickly, with a few being a bit more challenging.
We found all but 2 caches. We were confident the 2 we couldn't find were missing so we left replacements. We also replaced a couple of missing lids.
Apologies for the generic log.
Searched extensively for this one with no luck. The tree that we assume was the hiding place, appears to have suffered from recent weather and several of it's limbs have broken off. We hunted around the debris for the cache with no luck and then widened our search to nearby trees.
We were confident that the cache was missing so a replacement was made under the next undamaged tree. (Coords had us between the 2 trees today.)

Better late than never. Had planned on doing these at Oz Mega but didn't quite happen. Managed about half today. Very relaxing driving around the back roads on this beautiful day. Will be back soon to finish this series. Thanks OzFiresafe for all your work. TFTC
After staying at Murray Bridge overnight I headed out today to try a few power trails. The first one on my list was Signal and it was a very pleasant trail that I followed through the countryside.
I had a few head scratching moments along the way but eventually found what I was after. I replaced a lid or two along the way but apart from that everything was okay for me today.
Thanks for a great series!

Out with sir_spectre and jacknor on a 24 hr straight caching run and this was the targeted trail. Most caches were found spot on however a few were about 20metres away. Thanks for the trail.
