Parked up for the night at Kimberley reserve. Great wide open space for an overnight stay. Returned to Ohua this morning to try and collect all the local caches. Got on the bike to stretch my legs. This area appears to be developing fast and there is now a house/section at GZ. Did not get close to the cache.
The cache appears to be in the back garden of a new house/section. Unless the CO can confirm that there’s still access then I think it should be archived.
Found 11.25am

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We were really keen to log a Leap Day Event cache and collect the souvenir, but our nearest was the camp-out at Awhitu. We have already cached in that area and wanted to use our time a bit more effectively, so we reasoned that a trip south would be worthwhile. There were three events in the Manawatu region. Road trip...
We think time is running out on this hide. The land surrounding ground zone has sold, and it won’t be long before the property is developed. The cache was a quick find as there was evidence of a geotrail in the grass. Thanks Nogoodnik73 and TFTC.

TFTC nice quick and easy find on the way back to Wellington. Log book is damp, and the land the cache is located has just been sold. Houses on either side and soon to be a house here so would say it won’t be available to get soon.
This was a straight forward find today, but not for long. Judging by the pink marker posts and spray mark on the vital tree, this will look very much like private property shortly. Houses exist or are being built on either side, so tried to look nonchalantly interested in the copse of Totara trees, which are magnificent.
The waterproof log was full, and the replacement paper wet and ripping, so added a new waterproof page.
Thanks for bringing us to this delightful spot which I hope more people will experience, in case it becomes yet another used-to-be.

Thought it Rude to not have found the one a stone's throw from home (literally).
Cache in poor condition , 20mls of water tipped out of container. Top of container appears to have been knawed on by either a Rat or Possum and the rain has got in.
Hope owner doesn't mind - I've bought the logs home overnight to dry them out a bit. Will do short term fix on the lid , but suggest owner may need to replace.

Quick find here, nice hide although rather exposed, did admire the robotic lawnmower in the neighbour's garden, log book is damp, I signed my name after Yeti but as I was folding the log back up I realised I should have signed after GSEL, didn't want to take up any more space on the log, the date is correct anyway, TFTC
#6939. Day one of my northern road trip. Escaping the madness of work for a few days as the financial year comes to an end. Couldn't quite escape the phone calls that rang incessantly as I made my way north. Just dealt with the urgent ones and ignored the rest. Another woven in cache in this neighbourhood. Houses are popping up in this area and are getting closer to the GZ. Suspect before long its going to be very hard to do this cache and not be noticed. In the meantime it didn't take too long thanks to the useful hint. Signed the logbook and put it all back where found. Thanks Nogoodnik73 for the cache.
Visiting the area today and collecting a few caches on the way. Quick find as described, log is a bit damp but still signable. TFTC
Team BOP had descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA and we had a lot of caches to get through over this 5 day affair. There isn’t a lot of down time (or sleep time) but it's great being here and meeting the locals, CO’s and other cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. It's now time to go home so lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and anyone else that made this a memorable trip
On our way home From the Mega, I just had to stop in for the two caches in here.
This area is of special interest to me, as I was involved right from the very start to the end, in the development of the farm into the beautiful lifestyle blocks amongst the vineyards.
The company I was working with had designed and developed this farm into the award winning subdivision that it is now.
I always wanted to leave a cache or two amongst this place, but moved away from the area and decided to leave it for someone else.
Thanks for placing the caches here.

Attending the Wellington MEGA, was great to visit from the sunny Bay of Plenty, my finds have been found with my team, and signed TEAM BOP, to save room on logs. We are really enjoying ourselves and its great to see so many different sights. Please excuse my generic logging in advance and there are sooo many logs to do. Many thanks to all you cache owners out there for all your hard work. Heading towards home today, so had to clear a few areas on the way. Cheers.
Stopped here on way home from Wellington Mega weekend.

Nice spot here, log is too full and too wet to sign. Have taken a photo as proof if needed. TFTC.
Making our way from Auckland to Wellington GeoHubby & I had some time to spare before the winery opened. We had an amazing breakfast at Salt & Pepper (not to be missed, the scones are to die for) And decided to see what caches were in the area, they did not disappoint. This was our 2nd find for the day, proved quicker than anticipated. Did not sign as log is full and a quiet damp. TFTC
Really nice to stop for a while in this area. Perfect weather and not a sole about. Straight forward find here, but log too wet to sign. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything to solve problem with. May need a replacement log. TFTC
#3490 4 of 15 today.
Day 4 in NZ and I'm leaving Wellington heading for Whanganui, a 2.5 hr trip that I managed to make take about 6. Sadly I took lunch with me, so I can't blame it on an extended lunch break. The weather today was pretty ordinary. Grey with showers increasing the further up the road I drove. I stopped in various towns when the weather permitted and grabbed as many caches as I could. It's still raining here, but the forecast is good for the next few days.
I startled a hare on my way to this one.

Thanks for a neat cache. A beautiful patch of native bush. Good intro for our friend who has just learnt about geocaching. We weren't able to write on the log as the container and contents were soaked (not surprising given the rainfall of late).
Out and about on a sunny Autumn day doing a spot of caching with team geocacher Mr. T. A quick find. What a lovely area. They were putting the bird netting on the vines nearby but were too far away to notice what we were doing. Thanks for placing a cache here.
#2514 Thanks for another.
A quick find on a day where Yeetrees and I found the new caches by edvern and tmann421 on the Mangahao - Makahika Track.

Nice and easy find. As I was about to walk back to the car, I scared off a rabbit, that apparently was sitting just 2 metres from the tree.. it got so scared, that it almost ran into my car on its way away from me.. hah..

Quick find. nice area among the vines. Left Havelock North at 5am this morning picking up jordiporsche on the way. An overnight stay in welly to grab as many caches as we can including all the kiwi geo art puzzle's. Log signed as b&p.Tftc Nogoodnik73. Find # 3161
What a beautiful area. The old stone wall near is quite gorgeous. Thanks for the cache
Out and about bright and early for a caching trip to Waikanae area today. Having been part way up Paekakariki Hill Road and into Queen Elizabeth Park, Raumati, Kapiti and Waikanae itself. Now time to start heading back home, with a few must do caches on the way.
I have been here on two other occasions, but have been thwarted in my search due to cows grazing in the GZ. This time, there was a sign nearby saying that spraying was underway in the vines, but I decided to ignore that. Quickly found the cache and returned it to its hidey spot. This is my last stop of the day. TFTC

Easy find using the hint
Cache was in good condition except for bite marks on the lid where a rodent has had a nibble...

I found this one on the ground with the lid off on the ground by the cache. I placed a new log in a plastic bag into the cache and placed old log inside also. Then placed the cache where I think it should of been. Thank you for placing this cache in this area, It should be all good to go again TTC
Quick grab. Not well hidden. Very exposed. Actually on a site for sale so wont be able to leave this here?
The map on my GPS didn't show the roads needed to get to this spot. We meandered around and eventually gor there. TFTC
#10. Thanks Stef and Carina (Austrian wwoofers) for helping with this one!! The log was full, so I inserted another sheet of paper. TFTC
Went for a walk from our accommodation through this lovely subdivision, lots of trees to pick from but quickly spotted. Very peaceful place. TFTC
Having pleasant afternoon with Otaki Searcher. Found after some decisions about trees. Log saturated and also full. Wrote in space right at beginning. As reasonably close to home will try to put in new log soon.
Daye FIVE of Clan Murray's 2015 Geo Road Trip - Wellington to Palmerston North (Rainy !!!!)
Easy find - GPS bang on

Had the same response as CO to the nearby cache of similar name -in fact, couldn't be bothered searching- but quite happy with this one. Container was however lying on the ground a couple of metres away from where it should have been, so signed it and returned it to most likely hiding place. TFTC.
Looked for a while today before dawn - think I saw a few likely nooks and crannies but unfortunately no cache. Thanks for bringing me to this neck of the woods - I shall try again another day.
Found with Jesso22 while on a day off work out caching. Took a while searching for this one. Ended up having to climb/roll under a live electric fence (terrain 1.5??) and through a paddock of cow pats to retrieve this cache. Was and easy hide once in the correct place.
AtomsNZ and I decided to take Monday off for a girl's day out and go caching. Made our way South from Palmerston North picking whichever caches took our fancy along the way. Ended up getting 40 in total, that's a new personal best for me. Found some really good caches today, a fair few nice big containers, couple of multis and a few good walks, great girl's day!
This one took us a while as the GPS was pointing abuot 30m behind an electric fence (might want to check whether this is actually supposed to be publicly accessible, we felt a bit dodgy). After checking all the other trees we decided it was in fact where the GPS was pointing and AtomsNZ braved the electric fence (which was definitely on) to go and make the find. Thanks for the cache.

Working in Levin and having to expand my radius of caching as I have cleaned up all the local caches in Levin township, took a drive out to Ohau area and was rewarded with some great caches and a nice evening drive.
A little area that I would have never known about unless for these caches. Thanks for bringing me here.
Easy find.

Beautiful day. Nobody around. Returning home from a work trip to Wgtn. Quickly found. TFTC
Headed off into the awesome January weather for an afternoon caching down to just south of Levin before heading home. Our chosen route was a figure eight south down State Highway 1, across from Foxton to Shannon, down to Ohau, then back up through Levin, Foxton, Awahuri then back to home. managed 37 which is a pretty good number and boosts my January stats by a fair chunk.
I had found the nearby 'woven' cache on a previous trip through the area so it was good to grab this one this time. This was a nice quick find in the very beginning of rain that would do nothing to cool us down in the long run.

Three of us had planned a day out geocaching in the Horowhenua area today. Alas, one of the party members had a late withdrawal, so there was just two of us. It was a great day in the end. The weather was hot, we even had a few spots of rain trying to cool us down at one stage. I ended up finding about 45 caches with one DNF.
All quiet in this area today. Made retrieving the cache very easy. A quick find.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley. Found with Tommygun9.

Quickly found this one with StefTheVet in the late afternoon. A nice location, have already tasted the great wine from here. TFTC!
headed out today trying to get to 1100 before the 5th having having planned a route last night, managed to do this on such a busy day more so on the state highway, I dont know how many times I was either trying to look like I was randomly talking on the phone while bent over looking for a cache, its very hard to be shady on that road, but managed it and I am sure I looked silly but hey its what caching can be about. came across some very well kept caches and some not so and only got 6 dnf on the 29 I was looking for, I added swag to all caches that had room and were in good nic, sorry about the copy and paste on the logs, as I was caching by myself I didnt take notes. thanks for the cache. - log was sitting in water, being that its right as rain paper no issues writing on this log what a lovely I tried talking hubby into moving and building there
This one was a logical result of the stones cache. Log was totally wet. Need to say it would be lovely to live out here.
What an awesome spot. Visited with Twistiedog and Mrudderhd. Have never been to this part of Ohau, I never really noticed it existed. TFTC!
Today is a dot day, one of only 3 left for November and so a day I'd like to go caching on. Today is also the much awaited day when I travel down to South Island to start my new job. Have been laid up with poorly feet for a few weeks so only cache and grabs for a wee while now so quite nice to go on a bit of a road trip to increase my caching finds on the North Island. My intention will be over the next few weeks to redress that balance and get my South Island total kipping along.
Left Manawatu to overcast skies and threat of rain and wind still gusting from time to time, good old Spring.
No problems with this nice easy find, found as per hint, though not quite big enough to receive my TB companions. Another Ohau cache completed, only two left.....for now.

11.10am. A quick find here. Our son lived on Bishop's farm back when they were milking cows. Looks a lot different now. Very easy find.
