Day 7 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. A leisurely drive up. Avoiding GC power trails. Randomly driving to various spots that take my fancy. Now thats a fun find. Thanks Fergclan
364. Went on the bridge, went on the bike trail, finally found middle ground. What a brilliantly executed cache, loved it thanks and added some goodies inside
One fine Spring morning, AtTheLakeHouse and WallabyWanderers set off on an adventure along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. What a great day we had! After camping in a nearby National Park we had a beautiful scenic drive to our start point at Murwillumbah Station. Then a second fuel injection of caffeine was had while doing the carpool thing and we were on our way. We were a tad nervous about riding bikes as we hadnt been on them since kids, but you know what they say. We loved every minute of the journey. Every bridge, tunnel and little town in between. Every point of interest. Every scenic view. We had a quick break at NumBums cafe in Stokers Siding, but I guess stopping at every cache was a rest in itself. We made it all the way to the end at Crabbes Creek and part of the way back before our hire time ran out, but Mooball was a great place to finish anyway. Loved the bikes and are keen to acquire one now. Keen to do the trail again too. One day wasnt enough to take it all in, especially with so many caches along the way! All logs signed as ATLH and WW on 21/9 or if room permitted our names in full.
John's car broke down in the middle of a quiet road at night. He decided to hitchhike. After waiting for a while, a car stopped next to him. He jumped aboard. The speed took off...Suddenly John noticed to his shock that the driver's seat was empty. No one was driving the car. John was not frightened by the speed of the car, but by the fact that it had no driver. When the moment came, he jumped out of the car and ran for his life. After a few kilometers, John arrived at a petrol station. He went inside and bought himself a drink. Two men arrived at the gas station. One of them pointed at John and said:"Look, Jack, that's the idiot who jumped into our car while we were pushing it!"TFTC
My caching buddy had found this one previously so accompanied me under the bridge. Clever hide and a fave point from me!
TFTC. Super cool. It's 5.20pm so getting dark. Lucky we had our torches for this find. Kids loved the uniqueness of it.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I are visiting from NZ we are currently doing a road-trip from Sydney to the Gold Coast we were travelling through the area from Ballina up to the Gold Coast Coffs doing Ad Labs & a few caches here and there the cache itself was easily found & with no-one around we had plenty of time to work out how to remove the cache, then complete the logbook & return it to its hiding spot liked this Cache, so it gets a Favourite Point from us pleased to add a 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,367 for Us!
Travelling inland in NSW by motorhome. Our goal was to cycle along the new Northern Rivers Rail Trail. We parked our campervan in Murwillumbah and then cycled along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to Grabbes Creek and back.We passed 26 bridges and 2 tunnels, including the unique Burringbar Range Tunnel - it was fun.On the way we had a lot of fun with the interesting signs, the great nature, the adventure caches and all the other caches. Thanks to all the owners who showed us the interesting places.sayTeam sissifalke
Middle Of The Road No.6Visiting the Tweed LGA with geopup today to collect caches for a challenge. Wow, this is awesome. Took a bit of searching, I adjusted my focus and quickly found what I was looking for. Log signed, all replaced as found. TFTC Fergclan a fp from me.# 10086CheersWillis007
Would not have found without some clues in the activity. Part of my leap year find. tftc
By far the best cache of the day! Definitely worth a favourite point. Not sure if its 1.5 but not too tricky (for experienced cacher). Very creative. And completed / capped off the fabulous day taking Dad on a day trip to celebrate his upcoming 80th birthday!
We had a great time finding this one. It was well hidden. We do a bit of a climb from the rail trail but the kids loved it.
Awesome fun hide. Kids ended up the dirtiest theyve been after any cache. A great hide for our 150th find
Wowzers saw it 5 times but couldnt figure out how to get it, eventually got down the right drain
Had a lovely chat here with a local lady taking her 2 y/o for a stroll. I chatted whilst the cache was being found by the adventurous chikins who were happy going climbing. We are on the rail trail riding from Crabbes Creek headed to Murwillumbah. Took them a while but they found it in the end. TFTC.
So fun! Faster find than I thought to find, took some serious snooping but earned a favourite point.TFTC
Finding the last few of the Murwillumbah Rail Track caches with Blissbaby and Fergclan. Since we were out caching with the CO, he watched from a distance not giving any clues and I made a quick find to his surprise
Favourite Point given for the clever hide.

Well despite going for this today when I went to log it, I realised I had found this in 2014. So no fav point this time round I no doubt face it one then.
Easy find, tftc another for my LGA count. Like what you have done here fp awarded
After a morning of helping out at our local school, I had a plan to attend a gig in Miami in the afternoon down south, so i jumped In The van and made my way south of the border to pick up a few caches and complete a few adventure labs.
After finding a spot to park the van I soon found my way to ground zero, where the cache was quickly discovered.
Log extracted and my mark made I returned the cache to its safe hiding place and headed back to the van ready for the next adventure.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

With an invite from Ruzzelz to spend the weekend in the Tweed Valley exploring the new rail trail, I found myself camping at the showgrounds and heading off along the trail this morning.
“Ruzzlez Riders” consisted of ruzzelz, Herbz, Brother Colin, teamdfl, Beardman75, Que Sera, Pprime (P`), karicka, Captain Terror and Davidwazza.
The trail was excellent; well-formed and fairly shady, with great scenery, awesome tunnels, cute bridges, and interesting little towns along the way, and very popular indeed! I thoroughly enjoyed the day out, and I’m pleasing to come back with my partner to explore the area further. I ended up cycling just over 60km today, having enjoyed breakfast in Murwillumbah, morning tea in Burringbar, and lunch in Mooball. Thanks for organising it, ruzzelz, and TFTC, Fergclan. =^.^=

Overnight, a trip south was taken staying with family at Robina, which allowed me the opportunity to join an organised ride along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT) starting in Murwillumbah. I started the day with Kirra parkrun at Coolangatta, and after meeting the group, we spent the day riding the 24 km NRRT route through terrific scenery with near-perfect weather. A highly recommended experience!
Ruzzelz' Riders consisted of a reasonably sized group: [Beardman75](https://coord.info/PRG2ADN), [Brother Colin](https://coord.info/PR5Q03Z), [Captain Terror](https://coord.info/PR2A296), [Herbz](https://coord.info/PR2CGFP), [karicka](https://coord.info/PRV3G5), [La Kedi](https://coord.info/PR1FP4H), [Pprime (P`)](https://coord.info/PR3YKQ6), [Que Sera](https://coord.info/PRFWTKP), [ruzzelz](https://coord.info/PR10CCB), and [teamdfl](https://coord.info/PR3F3HD). The NRRT took us through Stokers Siding, Burringbar, Mooball, and finally ending in Crabbes Creek, and we then turned around and returned back the same way with a few detours to side-geocaches as we passed (which likely added the extra unexpected distance to my ride). We set out on this ride departing from the Murwillumbah trailhead at 09:00 hr, and the total distance that I ended up riding was 62.9 km across an elevation of 898 m, with a moving time of 3:50 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/9147471600). We arrived back at around 15:15 hr, although we did stop for a coffee and drink break in Burringbar and Mooball respectively.
Several Adventure Labs were completed during today's ride along the NRRT, which included:

A few people in the geocaching group had remarked about this high Favourite geocache, and being the month for Favourites in order to grab a souvenir, it must have gelled well. We had a few looking around the spot, and having found a couple of other geocaches by the CO, I suspected I knew where it would be, but it still took 5-10 minutes of looking before I noted something a little suspicious, and then [karicka](https://coord.info/PRV3G5) had the right access to make the cache extraction. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we signed the logbook as "RR" for Ruzzelz' Ride/Riders. A clever cache construction worthy of a Favourite Point. Thanks [Fergclan](https://coord.info/PR45QTQ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Saw a post for a bike ride along the NRRT from Ruzzelz and i was super excited to join . We signed the logs with RR for Ruzzlez Ride. I absolutely loved the ride along here and we stopped along the way for refreshments where the local towns are flourishing. There were so many people out on bikes and we saw such a big variety of them. Great that you can hire electric bikes here. Loved the tunnels the bridges and the great scenery. I really wanted to see why this cache has so many FP's and after looking here and there we found out why. Thanks Fergclan for taking us here for a great day out and thanks to Ruzzelz for organizing. Giving this one a FP for all the fun
On our way south again to support our daughter during her Chemo treatment. Stopping at Murwillumbah for a few days and looking at doing the NRRT. We have planned to do this over two days, one so that we can enjoy the ride and two because we have the time. Today is day one and we are concentrating on the puzzles already solved and any traditionals along the way, leaving the AD Lab for tomorow, however; I couldn't help myself and managed to squeeze in a few.
Another one along the trail to take some time to find, we stopped on the trail and I scaled the embankment and walked up to the one of the levels and came away empty handed, tried another level with the same success 'None', by this time Mrs Snakepitter is becoming a little frustrated with me and my inability to locate, what was suppose to be a reasonably simple hide has now turned into something more. I returned to the bike and we both then cycled back around to the two same spots, up and down we went when Mrs Snakepitter called out that 'Here it is', sure enough she was right, 'Was there going to be any doubt?'. Signed the log and back on the trail for the next one.
Fav point
Thanks Fergclan for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 14285,
Was going to look for something small but then found it after reading other finder's hints. TFTC.
After initially having the wrong elevation, reezielou and I sorted it out and started our search. Reezielou spotted something a little out of the ordinary and I investigated first and found nothing. Seriously I am not contributing much to todays adventures She has a little more height than me and on second look, she spotted what I had missed! What a great hide, fave point for this one! Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache!
Ahhhh the old which path do we take, clearly we didn’t think about the name of the cache.
We changed our positioning and had a little look around then something caught my eye. Krcamber had a quick feel and then I spotted what we needed to get this little one in our hands. What a fun hide. TFTC

In burringbah for the weekend and had been struggling with a couple of the caches around. This however was a great cache near a great coffee place, in a lovely park. TFTC
Once we were like goldilocks and had our elevation just right, we spin had the cave in hand.

Nicely placed container. I reckon geocachers would be the only ones to take any notice of it. The log book is nearly new. What a great thing the new Rail Trail is, lots of people using it.

A lovely long weekend in NNSW with T4mmmy. A day of exploring today. Targetted this one after finding most of the series yesterday. Took us a while before the penny dropped and .. yeah that's a FP right there baby. very nice.
Thanks Fergclan for entertaining me at this location.

Found at 7:26 on a morning bike ride to view the under construction rail trail. It'll sure beat riding on that path!

Marsh Bank Walk is a river walk running between Ferry Bank and Paragore Ward on the Ankh side of the river. It delineates the riverside border of the Singing Marsh. (The landward border is Swansong Way)
We scratched our heads for a little before finding the right location. Thanks for the cache
I’m camping near by in Wooyung with some friends from Brisbane.
I was recommended to come check out the bakery here, but when I arrived it was closing. ️.
However, I did get your geocache …
So it was a win in the end.
Thanks for the hide.

Checked on this today and all was well, gave it a few tweaks to make it back as it was and added a lid which nearly fits and left an extra log book along with the old one, remember you don’t have to adjust the container holder, the hide is a little different from normal, you’ve just got to have a good eye.
Really hard we went on train track and under bridge and on bridge but would be easier with a hint

We headed out after lunch with plans to cache around Brunswick Heads, and ended up in Burringbar and Mullumbimby, a great afternoon out with a dozen finds. This was a late entry to the list, and we needed a MOTR cache to soothe the pain of the MOTR DNF an hour before. This was very nearly a DNF too, we were about to call it before I decided we needed to check out a suspicious structure a bit more, so with torch and iPhone periscope spotted something odd and Samuel soon had the cache in hand. A fun one - Oliver was thrilled to find a snake skin under here too, I'm sure that won't thrill everyone! The log is full and the container sans-lid, so needs some love.... TFTC!

After a quick trip to the Burringbar nursery, need a cache for the day. Another middle of the road cache. I figured I knew the general approach, but couldn’t see the hide for a while. The inner hide still lacks a lid, but is still in good condition. TFTC
Sneaky!! Hate putting my hands in small spaces eek! Needs a lid on container, sorry didn't have one on us that would fit
My wife and I still have to drive back to Coolangatta, make the border crossing and setup for wine time so we made this the last cache of the day and ultimately our holiday. We would rather be back at the unit drinking pre-wine-time drinks than risk missing it all together.
So far this week we had crossed the border every day and not had a single wait. All the police seemed bored and would just wave us through so we didn’t know what all the fuss was about. We did catch the traffic the day after and all our dreams were crushed. We still made it home in time for wine-time that day though.
We had found 2 middle of the road caches this week so we knew where to start looking. After a bit of a fossick (4 times to spell fossick with autocorrect) my wife pointed out something that needed some attention. Awarding a favourite point to the pile for a bit of fun before driving home. tftc
