DNF, also wasn't too keen trekking around in tall grass. Checked a bunch of trees with no help.
Nice afternoon of caching. Nice to discover this after reading some of the past logs. Replaced log as other soaking wet. TFTC. Have loved this trail
We think that we found thr correct tree just on the edge of the bank but didn't find the cache. We searched in the long grass and even down to the water's edge without success.
Out and about for our daily fix of geocaching and continue our streak. Decided on this side of the river today. Will have to be a drive/walk.
Another search in long grass or over the edge. Not looking for snakes today.

Dot day. preparing for loop 5 and 6 that is.
Short walk, pleasant as long the sun was not out as soon as it came out from behind the clouds it became hot.
Cache found according to hint, a few meters out from were my GPS wanted to send me.
Thanks for the hide

No problems here and a quick find was made. This sectionof the track was a lot quieter than the rest. Thanks.
Edit Log....
Continuing further along the trail and made the find here without any issues. Cache was signed while over looking the cool waters of the river below. Tempting, but not today....
Thanks for another one C2M.

Quick find. Picked up the Halloween trackable at the appropriately named cache. Tftc
Found! What a great hiding stop... Took us the second time round to find! Thanks for the fun!

Out caching along the Ross River today. Quick find. SL. TNLN. Thanks for the cache hide Champs2Monkeys.
We decided to make an afternoon hunting caches. It was in a good spot which took a little time to find but a lot of fun.
Found it! Previously logs really helped. We were unsure what ghosts where but we are assuming they are the blue gum trees?! Thanks
It was time to get on the pushbikes and see how many caches we could find along the bike trail. A nice warm sunny winter's day made for a very pleasant few hours riding along the riverside path.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.
When Genyo and I arrived at GZ we were concerned we would have to go down the bank. Thankfully we read a couple logs and realized we didn't have to head down. Yay! Before long we had the cache in hand. TFTC!
We arrived at GZ and instantly thought we would be in a trip down the bank again. But the cachers who had come before us knew better. We searched the logical places and site enough the prize appeared! It was great to have in hand, get our names in the log book and rehide. The birds at this spot were loud and added something to the experience! TFTC.
Out on a cycling caching run on the RRPT with Roostaman, we went for this one. Due to GZ jumping around a bit, and not having checked the logs, we went for a trip down the bank only to find the treasure up the top.
TFTC C2M!

Another very warm winter day to find a few more caches around townsville.
Today was the day for a bike ride along the RRPT and MPP joined me for a while.
This one was about 10m from where my GZ said, but where we thought it should be.
Cheers from Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, NSW.
Thanks for the cache Champs2Monkeys,

10:09:00 AM. Yes we found one. Went down the bank at first to GZ but no luck. Had a rethink and asked the better half to check at the top and she found the cache. Co-ords for us were 14m out. Signed log. Thanks Champs2Monkeys for placing this cache.
Took a bit of digging around. Cache is getting a bit damp. Lots of fun on our bike ride
I almost gave up but previous log said it took a bit of digging, so I scratched around and there it was. TFTC
Was about to leave when I found it. Was giving up quite quickly worried I was going to slip down, then suddenly.. eh? Hah!

Hi there Champs2Monkeys. We found your cache "RRPT - Ghost" at 10:14:00 AM today.
This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 3 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9726.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was primarily to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, (which has been going since New Years Day 2014.) Our drive-park-walk route took us to some wonderful & scenic locations along the river.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 10m North from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

The coordinates seem a little out on this one , no need to go to the lower part of the river.
Today I undertook a personal challenge to find 24 caches in 24 hours in and around the Townsville and Ingham area. On such a lovely spring day I was lucky enough to find not only 24 caches but to explore this lovely part of Australia. I would like to mention the abundant wild life including wallabies, butterflies (too many varieties to mention), dragon flies, crocodiles, kangaroos, some kind of ant and I will call a green ass ant (they seem to swarm all over you and bite, not hard or with any venom but the numbers WOW or should I say WOE), dogs and an interesting creature I will call a “North Queenslander”. Many thanks to you guys sometimes pointing me in the right direction but most of all for being good guys.

Champs2Monkeys are heading south, and as such can not maintain this cache.
^dventurers has kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. C+2M are very appreciative for her help and will maintain a supply of replacement caches and stores.
Those that have contacted us to also offer help, I thank you for the offer, but ^dventurers beat you to it. I passed your names to ^dventurers and she will reach out to you if she needs assistance in maintaining this cache.
To all the Townsville Cachers, thank you for the hunt, and if you’re in the ACT, look us up.
Cheers
