What lovely views from gz, I could have sat and enjoyed them for ages but need to walk into Bath to find a Challenge cache that I know I qualify for and to meet Gin84 too.

Staying in Batheaston for a few days and trying to see as much of the area as possible. Lovely views from here and lovely to read something of the history.

YES! I've now turned the blue DNF blues into glorious egg-yolk yellow! After my failure the other day, I just had to return to try again, this time bending lower and frisking more avidly. It was dark and the cars, pavements and grass verges up the hill were covered in sparkling frost, which meant it was off wth the gloves and "cold finger time." How wonderful to feel the slight "give" of a nano as one feels one's way across cold metal. Signing the log by the light of my head-torch, the geo-biz was soon done and the cache replaced, followed by a careful march down the hill to where Mrs. Appeal was warmly ensconced in the geo-mobile. Then, joy of joys, both hands on the air vents for a full blast from the car heater. TFTC, Ev1181tch.
Oh dear, what a shame, our first DNF for ages, and I'm used to frisking objects to find mag-nanos! Mind you, it was dark and I was working by torchlight in near zero degrees Celsius conditions: brrrrr!, And this weak-minded man was unwilling to kneel down with his slightly dodgy knee, on the hard pavement, in his nice, new, clean trousers! Mrs. Appeal decided to stay in the geo-mobile, looking at the frost-covered cars on the opposite side of the road. If she'd been with me, I'll bet she'd have found the cache! I wonder if we'll be passing this way again before we return to Devon? Hope so.
Couldn't find. Looked in (we thought) the obvious place from the hint. No luck.
After a difficult search for a Campsite at Bradford-on-Avon (apparently all have been closed forever or for the end of the season), I ended up on the hill above the quarries (with 4 Earthcaches just next to each other!).
On my first day, I decided to do the loop on national cycle routes and find two tunnels just for us. Very special! The rest of the loop was nice and easy along the canal, just a little bit difficult in Bath itself.
But generally, I spent a lovely day outside and on my bike
The following day was then visiting both new and old baths. The massage was hell but helped my neck, which was more than stiff after the bike tour from Paris to Bath!!
Many thanks to all owners for hiding boxes and maintaining them (where this is a problem, I don't hesitate to log a needs maintenance log, because this ist the way it should be done (I as owner read all such logs, but not all found it logs. So I never write a needs maintenance information in a found it log..
It has been very nice in Bath/Bradford/Avon valley!

An easy find in a delightful spot. Log is filled so I squeezed in on the header. TFTC
Steep walk up the hill and I needed to have a rest. Lovely houses on the way up. TFTC
