Yay, found on our second attempt, don't know how we missed it before but we can now cross it off our list.TFTC TNLN
Hmm, it seems that Mrs B & I attempted to find this one back in April'23 without success however we had more luck today fortunately. Our friends who accompanied us today said they had found this one on a prior occasion (back in 2017) so it'll be just Mrs B & I who log this as a find today.TFTC
The youngest monster was quick to GZ and spotted something suspicious and made a quick find!! TFTC!!
06:59A weekend of shenanigans to farewell the Ballarat GeoTour.Heading back into town for a brekky event, of course there were stops involved. On our way here, we seriously expected Carrie Fisher to emerge with a tommy gun. Thanks, Fergzter.#8266
Found with nirgalagrin on our way to some early events in Ballarat. Channelling the Blues Brothers vibe here.Thank you for hiding this cache and highlighting this unusual bridge.
A nice puzzle on this one, cache was easily found and is all goodThis week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache
Not too long ago, I was driving through here and thought, "This place must have some cool history. What a perfect spot for a geocache!" But, it turns out, I didn't do a thorough check on the geocaching app, and I missed that there was already a cache hidden nearby this awesome bridge.Today, with TangentGoat behind the wheel, we decided to check it out. She waited in the car as she already had found this one and I ran over to the GZ and quickly grabbed the cache.TFTC!
After a nice afternoon catching up with some mums and bubs at the Creswick library, my little dude decided to have a snooze in the car. Perfect opportunity to grab a cache or two! I've been to this area a few times for other things when I was a muggle, happy to be back with a purpose! I was a little worried about the drive in, but even with the recent rain the tracks were fine.Pulled over, wandered into the GZ and spotted what I was looking for.Signed and replaced, TFTC and for taking me back to such a nice spot!
I'd had my eyes on completing the Ballarat Geotour for a while now, but with its days remaining on the gameboard being numbered, I knew it was time to seriously consider a trip out west to find them. This revelation coincided rather conveniently with the newfound ability to drive myself away on such a trip, a sale at the already discounted accommodation, a bit of free time, and two events in the region. And so, as if by magic, Brain's Big Ballarat Bash was conjured up, and my night away to finish the Geotour and partake in other general shenanigans commenced!Today's mission was chiefly to attend the pair of events in the morning, then head down to Buninyong to clear out the patch of caches there, before collecting the hides that were more central to the town, including those situated around Lake Wendouree. After breakfast at the RACV resort, I was on my way to a puzzle final but noticed that Google Maps had routed me straight past this traditional so I simply had to stop!It was pretty cool to drive under the bridge and emerge out the other side to park right at gz, which is something I'm very unlikely to have done without this game!I was lucky to have gloves for the day's upcoming CITO, though it turned out I didn't need them as the cache could be easily retrieved without coming into contact with any pesky prickles. Thanks to Fergzter for placing this one here!
Out and about grabbing a few more caches and when I turned onto the right road, the cache name became apparent. Once up at the GZ, the cache was soon spied and the log signed. Then it was back to the car and off further into the forest.
Thanks for this one Fergzter....cache all good.

Sadly we had no luck with this one. We both agreed on GZ and both looked long and hard in the general area and further afield, with gloves, but no joy after 30mins so packed it in and drove off into the distance disappointed.
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
So after making it to South Australia, crossing the border and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter I then made my way west along the Eyre Hwy and I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy on which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie.
I then toured the Eyre Peninsula and throughly enjoyed the 2 national parks down the bottom of it.
COVID got in the way and interrupted my dates so the planned Yorke Peninsula part of the trip will have to wait for another time except for Port Germein and Crystal Brook.
Finally recrossed the border back into Vic after being in SA for 3 great weeks near Pinarroo
And stayed at Murryville for the night.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
Heading towards Ballarat to attend the launch of the Ballarat GeoTour which is tomorrow afternoon.
So after reaching my destination for the next 2 nights which is Beaufort I then set the van up and spent the afternoon chasing a few select caches in the outer regions.
I was heading this way and I noticed the distinctive bridge as I went past so I did a u turn and parked near it.
I then noticed a cache was nearby so I walked through on of the arch’s and of course took a few happy snaps.
Soon located the cache and a group of trail bike riders came past and all of the arch’s were used by them.
Thanks Fergzter TFTC.

Was surprised to see the three arches and wondered if Gertie's had dieted enough to fit through. No worries at all. Thank you for pointing these out to us. Some of the old constructions are very interesting. Thanks also for the cache.
Wow... 2 December! When did that happen? After finishing off the Christmas caches it was back to complete the rail trail which was partly completed last visit and a few other caches before heading home.
After a break for lunch this was a quick stop. It was cool to drive through the arches.
Thanks Fergzter for the cache.

TFTC Fergzter. We had been to Ballarat for a few things. On the way back we did a short detour to this one. Decided to walk in from the main road as there was a lot of water under the bridge. No need to get the car too dirty. Besides after a lot of inactivity a short walk was good.
Found on the way to a CITO and an event in Creswick. Neat bridge. Quick find of the cache. TFTC Fergzter.
After we’d been driving through the forest dissing out places The Driver and local friend of his thought would be suitable for their XTrail car club members might like to learn and practice 4X4 driving skills, we parted company and I had a chance to look for another cache before moving onto the CITO location. It certainly is an interesting bridge nearby, although the graffiti on the bridge, the burnt out car, the dumped weeds and lounge suite nearby detracted from the beauty of the place. The cache was located fairly quickly, partially uncovered, but as it’s unlikely a random Muggle is likely to spot it there, I think it unlikely to be purloined. Police asked what we were doing there as I was doing a Snap, Send, Solve report for the litter. They were satisfied with my reply and moved on.
In the area after picking up a FTF. We stopped by here and was impressed with the arches.
Thanks Fergzter. A FP added for highlighting this spot.
Cache in good condition.

Two arches were folooded but not a third. Locals seem to think that this is the tip. Cache was an easy find.
I have wanted to get this one for awhile, I drive past it every time I go to work, but Master 10 is never with me. Finally picked it up, it was nice exploring the arches. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for taking me to a great location. The bridge is really cool, I am always amazed by the beauty of old public infrastructure.
Thanks for the cache it is in good condition TNLN

quick visit on the way to creswick.. Never realized there was a track under the bridge. Tftc. 24 November 2018 1:49 pm
A quick find and an interesting approach into the GZ hen the name I presume, cache OK. TFTC.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. As we were driving past going to another cache, we noticed this one that we hadn't found yet, so made a stop and a quick find. TFTC
Out with Bushfire and we were able to drive through this amazing railway bridge What a fabulous structure. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC Fergzter
Cache up here last Wednesday when the temperature was hovering around four degrees and this morning was not much warmer if you looked at the puddles that we drove through as they were covered in ice.
Again I am caching with au.fait and we had a wonderful day changing lots of caches into smiley faces.
We only stopped for a cuppa and some nibbles during the day and completed all the caches that were on our list in this area.
Dinner and a beer and wine was had at Buninyong on out way back to Geelong at the local on the corner. Great meal but pays to be early.
Creswick is looking a happier place now with all these new smiley faces looking at me and a new milestone for the ageing Bushfire as the 8000 mark was passed today.
All caches were signed with au.fait and BF.
I did not notice the coin in the cache!!!!
Thanks to Fergzter for placing and maintaining this cache.

Now we know what the Tri Arches means! Had no trouble finding this well hidden cache. Enjoyed our picnic lunch in the area. A few 4WDs about this area today!

A great bridge that we were able to drive through to get to GZ.
Parked in some shade and had a quick easy find.

Today was the day for another road trip up from Geelong. This morning I was in the company of Na'wal, a very welcome team member indeed. With a bunch of puzzles solved, it was time to collect some smiley faces. We found a great mix of hides, trads, some mysteries and a letterbox as well. We were spoilt with the weather as well, it was a cracker of a day !! Thanks to all of the CO's for some great hides and some brain busting puzzles. TFTC Fergzter
DAB and I had planned a day out caching around the Ballarat / Creswick area. We met early with our geo wheels packed with snacks and plenty of drinks on board and set off to enjoy another brilliant, fun day, exploring new areas. The old bridge was awesome to drive under, only just fitting in with the in 4WD. We parked close by and could see the cache in the open. Stamped and returned with a little coverage.
**Thanks for this traditional cache Fergzter**

6561 Found by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Team Ladava at 1110. The Lad suggested a drive to Creswick for a tourist drive and to pick up some more containers. This bridge is worth a photo or 2 and we did just that. The container is in good condition and dry. SL left TB Tnx Fergzter.
Found by Team Ladava and baby&Mrs gopher on a lovely winters day in the Creswick area.
That is one magnificent bridge we would never have seen if not for Geocaching.
I am in awe of the craftsmanship of those engineers and tradesmen from so long ago.
While we were replacing the container, a flock of over 100 black cockatoos took off from the pine trees and circled overhead before dispersing. Wonderful.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.
A favourite point from Team Ladava.

Another lunchtime rush to try and fill an empty calendar day. As this was the closest to work kenare came along for the ride. Off in a cloud of dust soon had me putting on the skids as the police were sitting on the corner up from work. Finally got to the arches and kenare said "drive through ". "What's that" I said. A whole bunch of dead foxes lined the tunnel. Guess "what does the fox say" wouldn't be much. Grabbed the cache and back to the grind. Tftc and the cool bridge
Always wanted to get a better look at this bridge and after going to the Creswick Farmers Market earlier today Mrs P and myself finally stopped here and checked it out. The cache was found nice and quick but the lineup of dead foxes from a nights shooting found under the bridge wasn't expected! Tftc.
Out for some special Mother's Day caching. A nice quick find and some fairy tail toadstools to boot
Big furry caterpillar in residence. Impressive guy but praps best not touched!
With children at School and Kinder and a few free hours to explore, becca85 and I headed to Creswick to grab some more smileys. Good start to Summer and the last month of the year. Nice quick find. TFTC.
With children at School and Kinder and a day off work for us both, Wonder Woman W.W and I headed to Creswick for the day.
Not bad weather for the first day of Summer (I even got sunburnt!) & a successful day exploring more of this great little area.
Last time I was our here the cache had been muggled. I finally got back today and this time made a nice quick find- the cache and several caterpillars! TFTC

Find #1072 for me. I stopped by here on my way back to Bendigo late this afternoon. Like the previous finder, I wasn't going to take my 2WD under the bridge due to the large puddles, but a 4WD driving in the opposite direction did come through the third arch as I walked through the first one on my way to the cache. I had a quick find at GZ and as I returned a 4WD (probably the same one I saw earlier) drove back under the first arch as I walked out through middle one. Funny - I wasn't expecting to see so much traffic going through the arches today! Thanks for bringing me here today Fergzter and thanks for the cache!
**Found whilst House Sitting in Clunes**... Beautiful little town...
Out and about letting my GPS be my guide... Beautiful bridge. pity about the burnt out cars...
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment Fergzter...

The road under the tri-arches was more like a swimming pool following recent rain. Hence, we went to this cache by foot. Once at GZ, a quick find was made. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Fergzter for the cache.
The weather was fine enough today to travel cautiously beneath the bridge, but I wasnt game to let all the ducks I was caring for, out for a swim. Instead the cache was quickly found, signed and returned. Thanks for bringing me to see this pretty bridge, and adding another smiley to my map
Met another traveler here and he gave me more information about this amazing structure. Very interesting indeed. Pity there is so much water but still quite manageable on foot. TFTC
A fairly cold day for caching in Ballarat, but after a bit of shopping with Bogonghazy, we took Tess the geodog and off we went. We managed to pick an area that both BH and i hadn't been to before.
A lot of rain in this area lately made me dubious about driving under the arches as we couldn't tell how deep and muddy the puddles were. When I eventually get a 4wd, I won't hesitate. Tess enjoyed the short walk and the log was signed. Thanks Fergzter

A nice but cold day in Ballarat brought Sorceysal and I and Tessie the geodog out for a day's caching.
Alot of water has passed under the bridge, literally, so SS wasn't prepared to drive through.
Short walk for Tess as well where we found the obvious hide.
Great arches too
Thanks again Fergzter

Thanks Fergzter, great to have this cache back up and running. A great spot and the arches are worth the recognition. TFTC TNLN
Quick find on the way into Creswick. I have often admired these arches so of course there had to be a cache here. Happy to sign a brand new log. TFTC
Nice entrance to cache I must say, the cache proved to be a little harder to find than needed but we soon had it in hand, thanks Fergzter for the hide and for highlighting this feature.
Cruising around the map and realised that I'd forgotten to log this one! Oops. Thanks for placing Fergzter. I never knew this was here.
Out caching with Yogster and 3 geo retrievers. What a great day for it. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC. Out caching today with Clan McStormy in Creswick. Awesome bridge, potty about the burnt out car under it.
What an awesome bridge. I never knew it was here. As it was dry, I drove through and parked near GZ. The cache was a straightforward find. TFTC Fergzter and showing me this bridge.
After a bit of a hunt around, ended up reading hint and cache was soon in hand. Tftc
Woohoo!! This is my 400th find, and to celebrate i drove through all 3 arches twice! Lol. Tftc. Cache in good condition and a great hide.
Interesting piece of architecture. Cache found easily despite almost losing an eye to a nasty, aggressive, low-hanging branch during the search.
Thanks Fergzter.
Thanks Fergzter.
Found with Mi5sie while out in the Creswick area. took a little while to find this one, but eventually it was in hand, thanks fro bringing us here and TFTC
Another nice spot for a quiet caching trip.
This time of year the mushrooms that pop up next to the pines always look fairy tale like.
unfortunately they aren't as valuable as truffles but they must have some relationship to the trees
