I wondered why there was so many of these one after the other. Animal crossings make sense iguess. I spent enough time under here to have at least 10 cars go over before I made the find. Boy does that grate ring when they hit it at speed. Each time I had to block my ears. Thanks for bringing me here.
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14845, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to Tankengine for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Heaps of challenge caches, hikes for geocaches for all levels of skills and fitness.
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WA/WAC (WA Crew)
Easily spotted once the aspect was correct, and easier to access too. Thanks for the cache Tankengine
Found with sebass19 on a cold but very enjoyable morning around Mulligan's Flat. I needed a whole heap of caches this month for the Wheel of Challenges so I wanted to target a large chunk of unfound caches in this area. I searched for this cache years ago several times but had no success (never logged any DNFs though). I'm glad to have finally broken the curse. Cool hide, the threads of the container are a bit rusty but all is dry inside. Can't believe this cache is now 10 years old, I've been caching for more than half my lifetime, I feel old! TFTC TE!
Found it, but could not open to write on the log even though 3 of us tried. Great location n hide! Thankyou
Out to do another section of the CCT trail. Lots of finds along the trail along with some nice views too. So far probably my favourite section. Lots of riding upwards and collecting questions for the multi but not too bad. Eventually reached the Northern Border Campsite and turned around. All finds today were nice quick and easy. TFTC!
Sneaky and when the cars go past it's a bit unsettling...

Favourite +++normally stealth wouldn’t be a problem but during lockdown , lots of people regularly
A rainy afternoon didn’t dampen my resolve to find this cache but it certainly dampened my boots and socks.
Headed under once and came out empty handed. Had more luck on my second attempt and soon had CIH.
Logged the find and replaced the cache whilst standing (sort of) in the rivulet below.
Any animals using this access for the first time must get a hell of a scare. Incredibly loud as vehicles blast by overhead.
Thanks Tankengine for the dampening experience.

Lots of traffic, water and spiderweb meant we couldn't get close enough to really look.
Other day of the Easter long weekend catching up along this side caches, quick find and placed back where it belong TFTC Tankengine
The hint certainly helps to find the very tricky location of the cache. Thank you for the challenge Tankengine and I give this one a fave.
Found on a trip around town while at Canberra for a few days.
A few good hides and not many muggles around here.
Cache condition is good/OK here.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine,

Was in the area for work and took the opportunity to find some caches. A quick find this morning.TFTC
A very clever hide and challenging to sign the log but found, signed and replaced we did. TFTC
Certainly an interesting spot, and a well hidden cache. Good find to start off the day, TFTC!
Well that was an exciting find. I tried from under to begin with but went way to far. When having a search from above it was quickly spotted, nice shinny new tube. First log in this one for the decade - happy new year (though its been forgettable so far.

After the last couple of logs, I decided, I better check this out... Wow - that was strange! - So what I discovered was the long lost container with previous log sheets! It had cache creeped a lot! - But the good news is, the current container has not creeped, and is still where it belongs! I have removed the old (brittle) container - the new one is fine. I have attached the current and previous logsheets! I have added a new log sheet to the cache. - GOOD TO GO!!!
Found while exploring North Mulligans with contesta and JohnnyBoyACT. Probably the most exciting location of the day for the noisy surprises. Container brittle and cracking, did what we could with ziplock bag. TFTC
Apart from the sound of cars driving over the cow grate. A cool hide and nice cache. TFTC
Nice day for a walk to finish off this patch of caches in the north of the ACT. Great hide and make your timing right and it'll give you a fright if you not ready for it. TFTC
Very clever hide. Luckily no cars came by when I was retrieving it and signing the log because the grate makes a lot of noise when they go over it and we probably would have scared each other.

Found with sesblocker. Geez, it can be noisy here sometimes. We give this cache a favourite point.
Great coordinates made for an easy find.

Day Twelve in Queanbeyan.
BettyBoo3747 and I loaded up the deadly treadlies and headed off for the northern section of the Capital City Trail. We started with S2 - Berrrrep, and finished with S3 - Tank Hill, about 70 odd caches with a few DNFs. The round trip took about seven hours.
On the whole a fun trail with lots of jumps and bumps, and nothing too steep.
This was the first non-CCT cache we did.
Not sure if I was wildlife if I would like using this tunnel - it is very noisy when a car goes overhead.
Nice clue.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15760. Day 12 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.
Up and at 'em early again today. Rob wanted to attack the CCT 2 and CCT 3 on our mountain bikes. Well, it might have been fun for him but I found most of the riding unnerving and difficult. I am not fond of narrow rocky tracks and don't like downhill much. An utter sook! Well, old bones do take longer to heal!
We signed the first one at 8.15am and finally got back to the car at Forde at 3.15pm. We did have a morning tea break at the camping ground and a restorative break at Daughters at Hall before riding back to the car.
Gathered up a few others along the way. I thought this one got its name for frogs amonst the reeds but Rob has just put me right on that one. Rob retrieved it and we added our names and continued on.
Thanks Tankengine

Off for a walk today on Easter sunday while everyone else eats some chocolate. A lovely morning. Thanks for the cache!
Decided to do the centenary trail today, only able to convince Caro into joining. Trying to raise my d:t average for a challenge back home. Thanks for the cache
4050 of 2 at 9:24:00 AM on Tealby's Mega Tour (TMT) renamed Tealby's Nice Tour (TNT) because it was dynamite... or so it goes. The TNT team comprised 8 caching identities and 10 actual geocachers; including locals 2 BluFish, Sebass14 and Aykayem, plus visitors Kingfisher_au, BillHill531, Happy Feet 1 and Team GBS (all the way from Zimbabwe!). My tour was meant to be 20km in total, but we ended up walking just over 22km (although some recorded up to 24km on their apps). But we did finish by the promised time - all feeling decidedly weary but satisfied with the total haul. A fantastic day to be out for a walk on this section of the Centenary Trail - I had previously found a few of the caches, but still ended up with my biggest day's tally (and bigger than my total find count for 2013 and 2016!!). I had visions of finding a few extra to take it up to 100 finds, but it got too dark & I was too tired on my way home to bother. Maybe another day. Thanks for all the effort that has gone in to creating the caches - sonly a couple of DNFs along the way. TFTC!
Ok ... Finally catching up on my logging for all of my finds/etc during the Clearwaters Mega (getting around to doing things is not one of my strong points - lol) so sorry about the late log (I am logging it as the date I found it on, but am actually typing this in June ... so only 2 months late
Today began with a breakfast event (at which I did not buy breakfast - lol) and then I had to dash off from there early, in order to meet in Hall, to be ferried to the start point of the CCT tour walk ... which began with a dnf on a missing Gaurd rail cache, then a nice more than 20km walk for the 10 of us, making rather a lot of cache finds (with only a couple more DNFs), and where the last dozen or more were visits to ones I had already found on a couple of walks to One Tree Hill and back. Then it was a quick duck home to grab my ladder, so people could use it for the tree cache I was camped beside at the Mega, then a late arrival to the Meet the Mayor event back in QBN, followed by another 5km walk (in the dark, and part of which I ran, because I must be crazy) to be in on the joint FTF on the new night cache
These logs for today are going to be generic, with a mostly short comment (that I typed as a draft in the app as I found them) at the end ...
As far as I know, all of the CCT caches were logged with our group name "TNT" ... someone had suggested TMT (Tealbys Mega Team) but then I started singing a certain AC/DC song, so - once someone actually recognised what song I was attempting to sing (lucky there were no glass windows nearby - lol), a few N words were discussed, and it was decided that we had to be "Tealbys Nice Team" instead
TFTC - Someone found this while I was typing (the thing that didn't work, when my phone was having a hissy fit).

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out on Centenary Trail doing Tealby's Nice Tour so signed all logs as TNT. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number or good finds and enjoying the trail with it's wildlife, views and company.
Thanks Tankengine for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Found with a nice group doing the Centenary circuit with Tealby and signing as TNT while down for the Mega event at Clearwater. The walk was magnificent following the state border for most of the walk, finding over eighty caches on the way. Tanks For The Cache Tankengine

Thanks for the cache out and about in in a group from the mega logged as TNT
We had noticed the very attractive looking Centenary Trail on running a Pocket Query of the area while still back home in Africa, and so when the opportunity arose to hike the trail as part of the Clearwaters Mega experience we jumped at the chance and booked our places straight away. Today we were a group of 10 cachers led by Tealby, and so all logs were signed as TNT (Tealby's Nice Tour!). We had a major glip with our GPS about a quarter of the way around when suddenly, having just changed the batteries, we found ourselves with not a single cache on our GPS. No idea what happened there but many thanks to Kingfisher_au for having helped us get back on track by pinging the caches not yet found across to our GPS. We throughly enjoyed the day - it was a great hike (our GPS clocked up 22 kilometres) in good company with some super views and in excellent weather. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Walking a section of the Canberra Centenary Trail from Forde to Hall today with the Tealby led OZ Mega Tour group - better known as TNT Tealby's Nice Tour. Logs signed with TNT for our group. Enjoyed the walk, the weather and the geocaching with a bunch of enthusiastic cachers from all parts of the world. Thanks Tealby and fellow cachers.
Had to move from EPIC to Gundaroo today to await the openingof Queanbeyan Showgrounds, after setting up we still had a full day to fill in so caching we did. Headed back towards Bonner looking at the caches along mulligan flat road.
