This has gone missing again so we have decided to archive it

No luck today

Had a good look around before using our phone a friend card! Widened our search and came up with the goods! As described by a previous cacher our rummaging brought the leaves to life! TFTC

Found.

After an hour of climbing, digging and sticking my hand down tree holes, this one lives to see another day.
We will definitely be back for the tour

Been some excavation at gz to put in Telstra pits. May have disturbed cache.

What a tree! We hunted for this one high and low for about 15 minutes before having any success. Great hide TeamBastholm! TFTC!

Tricky find. Not as obvious as we first thought.

We've been out 'bush' for a number of days & have headed into the big smoke of Geraldton. Pulled up at the tourist bureau to get some info & saw this cache was in the vicinity. Before finding it Tara, Mark & Amy from Adelaide turned up & assured us that they too were looking for the cache. Back to business. Team "Tara,Mark&Amy" made the find & we logged the cache too. Good to meet other cachers. Thanks TeamBastholm for the hide.

Took forever to find it

No muggles around today so we were able to find this cache, have to think outside the square and you will see it's hiding place easily. TFTC

What a magnificent tree with a very sad history.
Mrs Ski spent some time in a building with the same history as the building which has the tree in its yard. Some good memories of that time and some not so good.

This has, unfortunately, been muggled

Called in today, parked close by in side street, cords pointed straight to the fig tree, but as it was behind a fence thought it might be on private property. Drove around the block to old gaol car park, cords still pointed to fig tree, but still thought it was on private property. Did not pursue. Will ask at info centre next visit.

I couldn't find this geocache, maybe I'll have better luck next time!

Aptly named. My second fine, have only just started geocaching. It is certainly a good way to see parts of your area or town that you not otherwise visit.

Great tree! Found this cache on our day trip to Geralton. Circumnavigating Australia on Radiance of the Seas and intend to pick up a cache in each state!

This was our 6th cache find in a caching run of 12 Finds & 1 DNFs today.
We found it at 13:53 so this now makes our total find count 7209.

A nice, quick find. Although from where we actually parked, the access route wasn't readily apparent until we got a little closer.

Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.

Doing a morning of caching before heading to the event and made a time limit on how much time I would spend at each cache so ended up not finding some.

Found this cache without problems but it could have been different as the cache size is wrong as it should be a 'micro'.

Creepy about the tree. The sign doesn't even mention it. TFTC TeamBastholm.

Parked at the tourist centre and checked the caches in the area. Found this one and walked over and started searching. Got a bit of a fright as the undergrowth around the base of the tree was teeming with creepy crawlies, that when I disturbed them made the leaves 'come alive.'
I was looking for a small cache, but when I finally found it, it was surprisingly small and possibly a micro cache.
Anyway found it and enjoyed learning about the importance of the tree.

[:(!] Before attending the "International Geocaching Day 2013 - Geraldton, (GC4EWQP)", we stopped and picked up a few caches along the way, parked the car as close as possible to GZ and we walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand after several minutes of searching.

TFTC. This cache was found on a caching trip with Cravo10 to Geraldton for the international geocaching day event being held up there.

Why oh why did I do this one at night lots of bugs and millions of mozzies, My sister found this one not sure how I missed it. took us a while

In Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day 2013 with teams AlliedOz and The Fitzy's, After attending the Event we are off racing around town for some caches. Once we hit GZ had the cache in hand in no time TFTC!!

A nice quick and easy find, but could have been quicker if I was looking for the right thing!. Have found a few of the caches in the area a bit harder to find than they actually are, as what you guys over here list as a small would be a micro at home! A beautiful tree, thanks for bringing us here.

Whilst geocaching with our son, who is not a cacher as yet, he found this well hidden cache - we may have had trouble retrieving it! It is such a sad history for such a lovely big tree.

On arriving at GZ team rumpleteasers was already looking for the cache. We joined them in the search and team rumpleteasers came up with the cache soon. Thanks for your help and TFTC team Bastholm.

Grew up in Geraldton when this was the prison, will bring the cachekids back for a tour next time we are in town, really a very interesting area. TFTC.
