Woodhill Forest now requires permit and permission for all access. Forest management have asked that all caches be archived. This cache can be unarchived if appropriate explicit permission is gained.
Still an hour until the gates are locked so head along the road a little more to grab this cache. Parked right beside and make a quick find. Turned around a little further down the road and head back the way I came. TFTC
The screw on cap is missing log a little wet not too bad though ...looked around to find the cap unsuccessfully =(
#146 nice drive on a slippery road (not sure the bus I passed on my way back should have been driving it!) I pulled over and saw the cache straight away. Nice to know my geosenses were still working after a dnf down the road. TFTC and view!
Last cache in this area today for me. I was glad the metal road to here is quite wide, I saw a large logging truck come by earlier and they don't sit around! So I parked right along GZ and quickly found some nice camo again. The paper while it was dry, looked like something very small has been eating it! But still enough paper to sign though. Then I did a very quick 4 point turn to return the way I came. Thanks for the cache!
Drove all the way out here today and once at GZ realised we had been here before but somehow missed logging it, must of been when we found the other ones down this road over 3 years ago. TFTC
My geo senses were off today, took longer than it should to fnd this sneaky hide. No one was around until stopped to look, nice that people asked if I was ok, Daughter was quick thinking and told them were checking out the narly 4wd track across the way, apparently we are going down it next werkend, yikes!
Up this way for some paint ball, arrived a little early so this meant geocaching as well, bonus.
Took a little bit to find the sneaky camo

Out with KiwiLeon to take his new car to Woodhill Forest for some 4WD training.
Great view from GZ. TFTC

For a caching weekend away with the HKCB this was a late but welcome start in this great piece of countryside that I had never visited before.
So after having spent a caching trip where I slept in a bed rather than a car, and having had a shower (so this must be how normal cachers start their day when caching) while getting a tour of the Albertlanders History before heading south.
We collected this one following on from cretti's series of puzzle caches and heading south once again
Great spot for the cache and we were happy to have the place to ourselves.
thanks for brining me to this spot to enjoy the surrounds.

A little while ago an idea was thrown about to head north for a final caching roadtrip for the year. So along with C&D a rough plan was formed with a certain few caches, a confluence point visit, an event to attend, and the rest of the plan was to be made up as we went along. A later start this morning, but we'd achieved most of what we had wanted to do yesterday so a nice crusiey day today. Heading home the along way via Helensville to grab a few more caches.
Initially missed the turn off to the beach and nearly ended up heading up someones driveway, but we quickly realised what we'd done wrong. Very cool camo, but it didn't have us fooled for long. Thanks for the hide.

Was passed before we realised so had to spin around. Managed to spot a possible spot and there it was. Tftc.
Very good camo thanks cs1111! Lucky for me Ric came this trip with his gps as my phone gps didn't work..!
After spending a good part of the day wandering around Woodhill Forest, I stopped for this cache on the way out. It took me a couple of minutes to spot the cache, but after finding some of your other caches earlier in the day, I should have spotted the obvious sooner! Another nice cache, TFTC!
nice little roadside nab...heard some less than intelligent 4WDers stuck in the forest below. Nice outlook and a warm winters day thanks
Heading home after walking the Mt Auckland walkway with slieschke so decided to have a go at the three caches up this road. This was the second of the three for me to attempt, and this one I went straight to it and had it done and dusted within a minute. Nice view for sure. TFTC!!!
11.55am. Very nice....that's all i'm saying...no more spoilers.

11.55am. Very clever camo. Also found the old cover on the ground - maybe still useful as a cache hide, someday, some other place. The view from this point is good especially with a high sea braking along the beach as today. Out with The Pud and Oscatello for some pine cone collecting and wander on the beach.

On the way to Muriwai Beach we found the cache together with cycling kiwis. Needs some repair.TFTC
knowing the CO's Mo by now it stood out as soon as i jumped outta the car, but seemed there might be something missing - either that or it never rains or dews in that location? found a bit laying at the base but could not figure out if it belonged.. easier to tell the CO me thinks. had a nice drive down the road to figure out where it went - and see the possibility for accessing some of the beach caches as a result.. glad we came.
12442... Some nice sea views in the distance, as stated by some previous finders, the cap is missing, the logsheet surprisingly.. was still nice and dry, TFTC.
Out and about with the family on the way to the beach. Nice spotting the sea from here. Seems its missing its top. Tried something nearby to cover it up, but didn't fit. Might need checking out to secure it. SL. TFTC.
Ants everywhere so had to give the cache a good shake before signing the log. A nice hide but managed to spot it straight away. Should have put the MTB on the back before coming out here. TFTC.
UUrghh, cache crammed full of ants, log got a damn good shaking before attempting to sign the log.

Enjoyed a walk with the dogs down at a very busy Muriwai beach and grabbed this one on the drive out. Took an educated guess from across the road and turned out to be spot on. Nice hide. TFTC
Bit of a bumpy road for the geocamper and we met loads of cars with trail bikes on trailers heading in the opposite direction. Great hide but soon spotted TFTC.
In forest today checking control sites for an orienteering event in 3 weeks. Gates closing at 5:00 pm due to fire risk. So just had time to spot this cache on the way out and look back and appreciate the view again. A clever hide. I put my hand on the cache a couple of times before realising it really was a a cache. Coordinates took me straight to it.
Nice views, dusty area - cool camo - never seen this before -well done

It's time to go back to the Ville today and pick up a few more caches. I had a little problem with this cache and ended up taking it back to some road workers and borrowed some of their tools to access the log.
Put it back in place and left it a bit easier for the next cacher to access.
Cheers for the cache.
