So no luck for me either. Turns out I was being observed by muggles on their front verandah throughout my search. Gps was all over the place as well. But the load of dnf's before me have me not feeling so much a failure.
Perhaps the CO could check on it?
Perhaps the CO could check on it?
Looked around but nothing. Considering all the DNFs before, could CO go and confirm if it is still there.
Found a couple of hidey holes, but no prize.

Pretty sure I found where it was supposed to be but it wasn't there. Expanded my search area just in case but nothing. Given previous logs, I think it's been muggled.
We had a good long look without any luck. Taking note of previous logs we expanded our search area and still did not succeed. Looks like some clearing has been happening just inside the gates. Gave up in the end.
A wet cache, haven't found one of this in a while. Was working down lower in the park and wondered up at the end of the day. Tftc tnln lovely area just got to remember to look past the weeds.
Found on our Trip in Turramurra.

Today I am on my way north to Gosford.
But I just had to make a little detour to pick up a few caches.
A bit of a search here before the GPSr settled down and I made the find.
I also dried it out as much as I could.
Thanks for the cache.

After spending a bit too much time getting a DNF at Pymble Plug, I was now in a bit of a rush and still wanted to grab 2 more on the way home. Found a convenient park close to GZ but then ended up on the wrong side of the fence. Soon spotted something and had CIH. Signed log, replaced and now off to Nam. TFTC.

took me and the kids a while to find it, but sometimes persevering makes it feel even better when you do.
all a bit damp in there though

Remember coming here a few years back to head for Back in Nam XL. A lovely patch of forest. GPS was a bit erratic to start with but it was an easy one once it settled down. Contents all rather wet. Thanks Sara101 for bringing us here.
As per the description this one was a nice quick and easy find, especially as we were able to park so close to the cache. That was a bonus as it was such a hot day and we didn't feel like walking too far. We had to drain the water out of the cache but everything in the container was still very wet. TFTC.

The Turramurra Post Box was my main goal today. I went by train from Normanhurst to Turramurra.
On this way I passed on that cache. After a while I could find the cache.

Arrived at the start of the Sheldon Forest trail and had a bit of a look around but no luck so I headed over to Back in Nam - XL where I made a fairly quick find.
I walked back and decided that the BOM definitely had it wrong and despite their prediction it was raining, quite a lot, and umbrellas definitely provide no protection in the bush.
Coming from the track I checked everywhere I'd looked before and a few other spots and then I saw it. So easy but I'd made it so hard. Oh well, success at last!

Headed to South Turramurra this afternoon to try to clean out a few caches I DNFed (and one unattempted). Of the three I was left with just the one DNF at the end of the day.
Then I got out of there before the storms hit.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Came by this previous DNF first.
A number of finds and a few interesting comments in the logs gave me hope I could grab it this time around.
Once at GZ I started checking a few areas - nothing. Hmmm, here we go again. Then I decided to trust the iPhone and suddenly spotted something promising. CIH!
And the iPhone was giving me 1 metre!
Completed signing duties and replaced. Amazed I missed it last time.

Found it on the way out of the bush. Add i was signing the log I was muggled by the newspaper van. Waited for it to leave before replacing cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Took as a bit longer than expected. Felt a little silly when we found it. Its a littlw damp inside, bring a pen.
Found at 11:47am.
Today I was up early to go on a cache-hunting mission. This was my third out of eight finds for the day and 15 for the whole weekend. I had done my research on some local caches which I needed to fill in my D/T and 'Hidden Month' grid and I wasn't disappointed on my adventures.
Today I stayed around the area's of Turramurra, Gordon and West Pymble. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of caches. It's probably owed to the fact that they were all mostly rural-type hides as opposed to your typical boring nano on a park bench.
The weather today was stunning and the temperature was just a little on the cold side early on but warmed up in the mid-morning. I began my day with a couple of DNF's which didn't give me good momentum but I was keen to rectify it and get on a roll with a couple of finds.
'Sheldon Forest Cache' was my third cache for the day after a super find at 'Back In Nam - XL' just a short walk into the forest. I actually tried looking for this one on my way in to the forest but I couldn't seem to track it down so I thought I would come back and try again. On my second attempt, my GPS pointed me 8m away from the original area but still I had nothing to show for it after searching there.
As I was about to throw in the towel I spotted a shiny object which wasn't the cache but it was very close to it, not sure if this was intentional or not. Anyhow I made the find, signed the log and carried on my way to notch up a few more caches.

Well, I did a bit of gardening in the hole of the tree. I do believe every cachet has performed the same trick on this hide.
Walked around for awhile but wasn't until I spotted the shinny item that it showed itself, TFTC

I went to find it with my two friends. They gave up but I kept looking! Such a good find thanks Sally101
Found it! (After some puzzling - didn't really know what I was looking for at first, this is my first attempt). Left a little something, took the marble someone left (thank you!)
2nd time lucky.
It still took 10 min to find.
Couldn't believe it was right there when I used my geo-sense.
It was kind of obvious when I thought about it.

Up from Canberra for the 15 years of Geocaching event at Lane Cove National Park and nab a whole bunch of caches on my weekend geomission
Found this one on my way out from finding another in the forest. Scoped the outside area of the fence first to come up with the easy find by torchlight. I can see why people would struggle with this one during the day in the shadows.
Thanks for the hide, Sara101

Searched around for long time but no luck. GPS was a little erratic but checked out quite far from the coordinates. From the logs it now appears perhaps we shouldn't have gone into the park at all...will try again before we have to go back to Canada.
It is a hard find but it is there. My first find which was great fun. Thanks Sara101. We on the wrong side of the fence for a long time.
6372 Caches Found
Searched around for about 15 minutes and spread out to about 20 metres to no avail. With the amount of DNF's maybe the owner should check it
Thanks for the great Adventure Sara101(8D)

I doubt that the cache is still here. After 10 minutes I was tired to search between rubish and Spider nets...
Looked for quiet some time before giving up. Gpsr was a little erretic bit reading other logs make me wonder. I'll be back!

I've had my eye on a nearby cache, and with the weather holding decided to go for both this cache and Back In Nam - XL.
Couldn't find anything here.
Checked recent logs, DNFs and a note by the CO.
Hmmm.
Now I'm not sure if this cache is still a regular, given that the comment says it's no longer a 1 Difficulty.
on't be back until I know what I'm looking for.

After searching last night with Knight-Trekkers with no success, we returned today but still could not find. Search of likely areas resulted in a possible but empty location with signs of disturbance. Discovery of numerous funnel web nests made further searching undesirable especially when thourough searching of what was supposed to be an easy find proved unsuccessful twice.
Have come twice now to look since owner maintenance but can't find it. Don't know if GPS is correct as area taken has no spots for medium cache. Look in surrounding areas and found a funnel webs nest, a bower birds nest and some mammals sleeping nest but no geocache. Very deep leaf litter added to challenge.
There are no such funnel web spider holes near the cache, it is just the famous Australian cikader makes the "holes"
This cache is still here as well you just need to look harder, I will tell my sister to make the difficulty one star harder as well
Thank you

I fixed up the cache! New log and and new container. I hid it in the same place but a bit different this time, bit harder! Good Luck!
Saw a likely candidate or a cache hide but no cache. Searched surrounding area to not avail. A DNF for me today.

Turramurra it is today to walk and discover, despite the chilly wet weather
Coming from the train station I walked to warragal str and entered the forest
At GZ I was of course, on the wrong side of the fence but within a minute I had cih
Your cache is in desperate need if maintenance as it is wet, log boom not singable, therefore there are now an improvised red log in a new plastic bag, hope it will do a bit

Our very first cache!
Was an awesome find, took us about a good five minutes.
Unfortunately the contents of the box was pretty wet.
Ps. Itl hurt when you're getting close!

A most enjoyable Mothers Day afternoon spent walking and picking up a few Turramurra caches with the geo-crew. Just had to wait for a muggle and her dog to exit the forest before we could search in ernest and soon had the CIH. Many thanks Sara101
The GPS wanted me on the wrong side of the fence but then I saw a flash of colour and had the cache in hand.

I love this forest tftc the cache is a bit wet and so is the log but not to bad
Found with CJ at lunch time today whilst looking for decent caches nearby.
There are a few around here that we haven't done and we've been wanting to knock this one off cache son our list. There were no muggles around at the GZ but plenty of spider web on the way in. The coords were spot on. It wasn't too hard to find at the right elevation. The clue helped. I spotted something large out of place before showing CJ. We soon had the cache in hand. We signed the log and replaced the cache.
Anyway, it was a satisfying find and a great day to chase down more caches. Thanks Sara101 for your cache. SL TNLN TFTC
