This is very hard to do but after shifting the cache to 4 different locations during it's life it is time to let it rest in peace.
There was previously a cache in this general area by Pipes_down_under who I understand also found it very hard to manage.
I will look around for a new location to activate a revamped SSC#16 in the future, but for now there are other activities to undertake.
Thanks to those who took the time to find this cache, learn about some of the early history of this Cronulla icon and replace the containers carefully.

We are sure we found the right spot but we think the cache was pushed in to far because there were quite a few sticks in there-maybe failed extraction attempts?
We will definitely go back if it gets remedied.

Back home after a trip away. Visited trackables in my possession to add a few more miles and complete the trip around Australia for some.
The cache is in place and waiting for the next adventurous finder. Sorry if it is a bit hard but I am sure that when you do find it, you will learn how easy it is to make a cache invisible.

At the GZ but no find. Excavation at the almost certain site (using the hints) but only rocks. DNF for us today
21/8/16. 9:52 AM.
1st of 4 DNFs in a row (following 6 finds) - Cronulla & Woolooware.
I'd found #15 and was feeling good; sitting at 6 out of 6 for the morning. At this point, I should have headed for home. What followed in the next hour was 4 DNFs in a row and a complete loss of caching mojo.
The first of these failures was here at this one. The sunny weather had brought out the muggles in their dozens, and many of the little ones were enjoying playing stepping stones right near GZ. When I finally did get a chance for some sneaky shoelace action, I found what I though was the one and only hiding place; felt inside and nothing. Pushed too far in maybe? OK, only 1 DNF so far, wasn't feeling too bad yet. Off to #17...

Still catching up on some 2016 logging. The last few months have been rather hectic at work and been a little slow on logging. Just about caught up phew! TFTC.
Found back in august on the way up from Goulburn to ultimo for a work course. Took the scenic route through Bulli and up through the national park. Such a lovely part of our state here

Raining today but on holidays from SA, so what better thing to do but geocaching, omo forward to coming back in summer tftc
Today is such a nice chilly, sunny Winter's day that I just had to go find a few geocaches.
The other day when I was driving past there was no way I was going to get a park let alone search for a geocache.
Back today and I quickly found a parking spot and had GZ to myself.
A short search before spotting the cache hiding spot. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Nice one. I didn't think anything could be hidden in such a busy location. Cheers
A replacement has been placed today in a NEW location with a new hint.
This should be far enough away from the coast line that it wont be damaged or lost to wave action.

It eill be out of action for a while. I need to obtain a new container and location.

After a 15 km walk from Kurnell I was reaching my destination, the train station for a trip back home. Before that I might as well check out a cache.
At the GZ upstairs there was a constant stream of muggles but enough opportunities for cursory glances around. Considered also the option of the cache being downstairs but high tide, a bit of swell plus some young people sitting at the edge right above kept me firmly on high ground.
This might be one of those do-this-at-sunrise-before-muggles-wake caches.
TFTH, wazza9!

happened to be in the area and this was very close but alas nothing obvious revealed itself.
My gps was quite jumpy here and failed to find a decent gap between muggles to have a good search. I'll need to come back.
Found after a short search. Thankfully the drizzle scared the muggles away. TFTC
hah! not like the photos nano! but found it without a pen to log it! no tool needed!

Lets hope that this location lasts.

The upgrade works appear to be finished and just about every suitable location to place a cache has gone.
This is going to be a temporary location until I can build a suitable camo to be placed in a better location.
Sorry about the muggle factor.

It looks like more unexpected landscaping works have taken the container.
I will replace it over the next week.

We had no luck here today, checked out a few spots but the muggle factor was high and after chatting with the CO the area may have changed recently. That said I chose to walk away as muggles kept watching my every move.
Spent a considerable amount of time trying to find this cache with no luck. If it's still there then it had us beat! Will try again another time.
It's been a very hot day today and going to the coast to cool down gave me a chance to check this cache out. It is secure and waiting for the next visitor.
Please take care, there are a lot of mugglers about.

Had a very quick look with a muggle friend but there were way too many muggles so we moved along.

After more than 18 months, the Council has removed the old fence to upgrade the entrance to the beach area.
I have moved the cache and changed the type of camo until all the work is completed. You are still looking for the same sign, just viewing it from a different angle.
Still a VERY heavy muggle area.
Visited a group of trackables to learn a bit about the history of the local area.

Away till 28th. Will replace then. Until then please post a picture that is not a spoiler.
Found this one on a overly Saturday morning.
A very high muggle area especially on a beautiful day like today and what appears to be a surfing comp going on.

Great cache! Forgot my pen and had no time to unroll so I took a photo instead. TFTC!!
Cache two of six for today!
I took the bicycle on the train, left Cronulla station and was on my way!
When I arrived I was afraid this was one of the "You have to over the fence and search for it, try not to be too suspicous", while being in the busiest pedestrian crossing in Cronulla. While I was pondering this, I saw a little hiding hole and had it in my hand soon. TFTC!

Found it! Oh I so dislike these micro logs. Always have trouble getting it back in the cache. Succeeded with hundreds of muggles going by. TFTC
Checked the cache out. 7 positions left for logs.
Visited a group of trackables to learn about some of Cronulla's history.

Found it with 50 people all around and no one noticed us at all!! Log is full and a bit wet too.
Out for dinner at Hogsbreath and thought we would go for an after dinner caching to walk off our steak..
Phew! I had 18 minutes to find this & jump on my train. The hint "look at things from a different angle" got me there in the end with a few minutes to spare-TTFC!!
