This was one of 11 caches I picked up this afternoon on a very enjoyable 16km bike ride on the A2O trail from the Aviemore Dam to Kurow. Nice scenery along the way. Slight diversion from the trail to get to this one. Managed to spot it reasonably quickly! #7445. TFTC.
We try to to get at least one cache every time we drive this road, so today it was time to stop here. We were just leaving when another car pulled up: I thought that they must be geocachers but no, they were just lost. Thanks for this one.
Slow drive to Cromwell. See if I can get a few more finds in the way. Chilly and musty thus morning.
Cache was a quick find and possibly my last for the day as it is starting to rain
Cycling the Alps to Ocean trail. An awesome experience. With a few caches to provide the cherry on top. TFTC
Day 3 of our A2O odyssey, cycling from Otematata to Kurow. Another short ride with up to 50 caches to find. A short diversion while Ms M continued to the cottage. A surprisingly easy find as these trees have given me grief in the past.

Took a quick sec to look around a waist height but found it and traded a Knick knack
Another cache signed off as I slowly move along the road. The dam is quite a spectacular sight. TFTC # 17,234
#19348. This is a distinctive-looking dam: looks like a factory from this angle. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our Waitangi weekend to Kurow and surrounds. Today we are doing a loop trip, travelling the road east of Lake Aviemore, then up to Omarama for a late lunch back south to Kurow, finding 55 caches along the way.
A good view of the dam from here, it's an interesting structure and a quick find. TFTC.

On a roadie round-trip from invercargill up through the pigroot, out in the back country onto this road. Heading to Omarama. Nearly missed the turnoff to this one! Above waist height for this shortie cache ingood order tftc
I had earlier arrived to stay in Kurow for a couple of nights but after falling asleep a number of times whilst trying to read my holiday book I decided that some exercise was needed. So down came the ebike from the back of the caravan and I set off on a cyclocache ride.
A minor indiscretion here - I continued along the A2O for approx 100m before realising that the cache was not on it. After backtracking the cache was found in a nice hide. TFTC drawp.

An enjoyable weekend enjoying the scenic McKenzie area, and finding some great caches along the way. TFTC
Quickly found. On my way from Arrowtown to Kurow to pick up my niece and nephew for the holidays.

When I came down the other day from Twizel to Waimate I noticed that there were the odd one or three caches along the road. I couldn't stop as I had my snail shell attached. So today I decided to go back up to at least Benmore in my cachemobile.
This dam has an unusual spillway.
Cheers for the cache.

In Kurow for the long weekend and today's geoadventure started off with a walk up Kurow Hill. Plenty of snow on the hills but a beautiful winter's day and hardly a cloud in the sky! First mission completed so now to head to Otemetata and this was a nice quick find on the way TFTC
Decided to make a trip to Duntroon over the Dansey Pass. Lots of logs to find and sign and this one was one of them. Day and it begins again. TFTC
22020 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Mount Cook to Dunedin. First, because it was sunny now, we visted the surrounding of mount Cook and the Tasman glacier. Then we drove alone and there were many caches along the road like the mighty oaks taril and many others, but a lot of them were on spots where I did not like to park a car. It were also to many to do them all, so we randomly stopped where it was safe and went for a search.
In Dunedin there are several Y2000 caches, and these we like specialy to visit. The Jasmer challenge is still not full..

Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
Had the opportunity for a long weekend in the area, was great to be back picking up unfound caches and some new ones. Many thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. My apologies for the generic logging!
Just a wee detour on the bikes to collect this one. On the A2O trail collecting as many GCs as I can, this is a record day for me and number 36 of 38. TFTC
Logged with GCDroid. On a quick little getaway and had no trouble finding this one. Thanks for all your caches drawp
A quick find. I drove past first and then thought I should go back. Just whete I would put it too! Tftc
Thought I had grabbed this one but must have forgotten to log. So I resigned the log today and claimed it as my dot day and challenge cache. Great weather up here today.
Living near timaru, we used to come round and check on the dam builds in the 60's. This was the only Dam already built that I can remember. TFTC
Found on way to geo event in omarau, on a geo road trip with RowenaD and flipnz.
Interesting view of the dam from here. Sarmeli16 went straight to the cache. I swapped something. Tftc
Found while on a weekend leave pass with Karma Reprint, heading up and down the Waitaki Valley with a few bike rides and wanders on the way. What a place to work eh, give those men a DB. Cheers
A nice quick find, Next.... Cheers.
Off on a caching weekend with Kiwi Moose, to the Waitaki and slightly beyond. Great weather, great place to be, great company, and more than a few little plastic boxes.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

On my way from Timaru to Omarama, I wanted to find some caches along the way to break the journey. After filling up my car with petrol, I went South. After visiting Pareora, I went up to the higher country. This was one of the places I pulled over at. What an impressive building; the sound of electricity being transported just gave the place a spooky feeling. The cache was found quickly; thanks for hiding!
On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.
**Thanks** for the cache!
It gave as a reason to stay and take a look at the dam.

*Finally vacation and time for the trip 'down under' to Australia and New Zealand via China. We’re expecting to see a lot of different animals and flowers and also hope to find nice caches and meet other geocachers during our journey.*

Enjoying a day's caching up the Waitaki Valley and this was one of our stops. Found with debsnz
Of course we see no one on the main road then when we turn off onto this little side road to the dam, a vehicle has to come along - just as we're signing the log. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Visiting Oamaru for a wee family 'long weekend' holiday.
Heading up the Waitaki investigating Rock art, fossils and any thing else interesting along the way. Heading back Oamaru-wards now. Stopped off below the dam for a looksee...reminds me of the Lake Colleridge plant....Mrs TG read out some info she had gathered and it was made about the same time...too cool.

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #48 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the fourty eighth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great sceanery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
No problems on this one, thanks for the placement. Great history here

This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

This cache was one of approx. 350 found on a 5 day road trip with Moneydork who was on a brief visit to New Zealand.
We enjoyed a variety of caches in an area that stretched between Christchurch Dunedin and Pukaki.
Bitsprayer was with us today.
Thanks to the many people who have hidden and maintained the caches.

First day of two days trip from Christchurch to Invercargill via Cromwell. Cache 32 of 72 today. This is part of my challenge to find as many 'minutes' for a 400-minute challenge cache, with most caches being straightforward finds. Thanks for the cache.
