Looked around and under every paperbark tree within 25 metres and DNF. Got a little too adventurous when I almost put my hand on a used needle that some druggie had obviously disposed of under leaf debris near one of the trees. That’s just a bit too real for me , last couple of entries suggest cache is missing. Maybe needs review by cache owner?
No impressed that the area near GZ is being used as a needle dumping ground. Some people have no respect for other wellbeing. So to save anyone getting stuck by a needle I am archiving this one
Umm isnt anywheee tho it seems like this is where it used to be hidden. must be lost now
DNF here with Crank1 & Whitepaws9.
Been searching and searching. Unfortunately, it starts to rain heavy, we decided to leave this until next time.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for bringing us here.

One of two caches i found today. The GPS was a bit all over but with the hint in mind i started looking around and all off a sudden the cache showed it self.
Nice hide, Thanks!
Nice hide, Thanks!
Batteries flat in the GPS so relying on the phone. Not a reliable indicator as it had me all over the place. Searched mant likely places, none of which the phone thought I should be near, before I finally found this one. Thanks Gonefishin
KAKAGA Mark 2: Kate And Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventure is happening again because we're free of children, chores and work! Hurrah! A trip down to the coast was organised with the New Years events and rail trail in mind and ended with a count of: one emergency department visit, one headbutted tree, one muggle asking if we were looking for drugs, endless swarms of flies, many scratches, one sunburned shoulder, one milestone 1000th cache, great meals, good company and 66 caches.
Off on the bikes and we cruised along to this patch of scrub and searched for a good 10 minutes around what the hint directed us to. Finally, I uncovered the hide which was an interesting camouflage. TFTC Gonefishen07

This weekend marked the second of the much anticipated KAKAGA trips (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventures). Mummy Short Legs and I were both very excited to be given the opportunity to spend almost two full days together with nothing but a vehicle, our bikes and our GPSs for company. We were not going to let soaring temperatures or bucketloads of flies stop us, we were going to cache our way around the Inverloch/Wonthaggi area till we dropped (or until the geohusbands begged for our return at least!).
Coming prepared with bikes we hit up the rail trail on our second day of KAKAGA#2. This took us quite a while to dig up but I was very relieved when MSL called "got it"! Appropriate container and bigger than I was expecting! TFTC GF07

On the way to this found we found a our dancing friend.
He was just happy dancing on the path in the dark.
(more then 300 meter away from the cache)
We found the cache in the dark.
As i was signing the cache, I quickly turn off the touch as runner passby.
Who runs in the dark of the night? without a light!
Out caching with D@geo.
Thank you for the hide Gonefishen07

Out night caching with gwd.aussie - well normal caches at night with torches. Just before we reached GZ we passed the *dancing man* from the Kids Paradise cache still happily dancing. Seemed harmless but had a moment of concern when as gwd.aussie was signing we heard someone running in our direction but it ended up not being *dancing man* just *jogging man*.
Thanks Gonefishen07
Thanks Gonefishen07
While out in the company of the McLookers we set out to get a start on the trail with bikes ready & roaring, plenty of water and snacks packed we were off. The sun belting down made for a hot ride but with sunscreen applied and our helmets for protection we enjoyed the trail and all caches on offer. Most caches were found with only a few DNF'S as we kept the pace up ...pedal, search, sign, pedal!
Thanks Gonefishen07 for your efforts put into this rail trail series, we had a ball.

Found it hiding!
In the area on bikes with The Tritonz with the aim of completing the Rail Trail. The grass was very, very long in many places. Fortunately we did not see a snake...I am not sure how as it was a very snakey kind of day. Thanks GF07, it is a brilliant picturesque trail that gave us the opportunity to see another very pretty part of Victoria.

A short walk from the car park, reasonably quick find and then back before the rain hit. TFTC.
Nice bug to find, unlike some of the others encountered on a hot and humid and occasionally wet day. TFTC
Took a few looks, but we got it in the end! It's a miracle the whippersnipper man hasn't cut this one down yet. TFTC!!
11-12-2016 - 2.45pm - No. 802 - 1st and only find for the day. Logging this with CO's permission. Well I found it but I needed better tools than I had with me to actually sign the log (a pen & two other things that weren't so useful this time). Oh how a nuisance, I tried, I really did. I think lock-tight was used by the last finder , that's my story & I'm sticking to it! CO promises to visit cache with some handy tools, or maybe just stronger hands than mine! Looks like I'll be back for this one too to officially sign the pesky thing. I guess I could borrow some tools & head back that way but the weather is a bit too warm to walk both ways so I'll leave it for a day or so. Thanks for the cache, almost BTW .. .. shopping therapy was great after my not finding/not signing attempts!
Find 11 of 45 of the day.
Day of geocaching between the Coal Mine and Anderson, a tiring day. Thanks for hiding all these caches Gonefishen07. TFTC

Geowife was on to this one as I walked past. Nice little camo. Log signed and back safe again.
Came past this twice, the second time with The Rusty's who had found it before, and she confirmed it was missing.
Came past here with Jazzmo from NZ after she couldn't find it. As a previous finder, I reckon it's gone walkabout.
Suscoe was heading home today but luckily we had a reasonably short distance to go and so we still had a good few hours to spend in and around Wonthaggi.
The day started out cloudy with some drizzle but it was mild and as time went by some sun broke through on occasions.
We took in a number of cache sites around the town and along the Rail Trail too.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache here.
This was the start of a ride along the trail.
All quiet except for the nearby corellas.
Glad we wake to that each morning.

An easy find once the hint was read. Cleaning up a few caches in this area after visiting ailing partner in local hospital. You've got to make the trip here worthwhile, don't you?
The days has heated up a bit now, the flies are extreme friendly too. Cache hunt is going very well but some DNF have been collected also. There has been a lot of work gone into this trail by the COs , so a huge thank you.
Found by Mary & David at 1055. Parked at the nearby supermarket and took the short walk to GZ. A short search later and the cache was in hand. Only a few people on the trail to beware of, so no problems in that regard. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
Our second day of caching in Wonthaggi brings us back on the rail trail. This is our first for the day. TFTC
Found at 2:37 PM GAFF1.
Last year this cache eluded us - don't know exactly why, but this time the area was a lot tidier and the little hide presented itself quite quickly.
Thanks Gonefishen07.

First rail trail with the crew. Perfect cloudless day for it. Love the thought put into each cache! Sorry about the generic log!
Found at 9:15am. First find for the holiday.
I've walked and ridden past this one many times over the past few years but it's usually like a pedestrian highway down here, and I thought this would be harder than it was, so I've never attempted to find it. I remember riding past one day and seeing two guys searching high and low with GPSr in hands, which gave me the impression that this would take a fair bit of searching. In actually fact I walked straight up to it, uncovered it with my foot and had the cache in hand in the blink of an eye. Yippeeeee. I like a cache like that in a high muggle spot. This morning, despite the mild temperature, there wasn't another soul on the track so that helped a lot too.
Glad to finally have this green blot, sooooo close to the caravan, turned into a smiley!

#737 - Day two of my trip down to the Inverloch for some caching.
The first part of my day today consisted of riding the rail trail from Wonthaggi to Kilcunda picking up as many Rail Trail caches as I could. My weapon of choice was my brothers cycle-cross bike so I could give it a go, with the decision to leave my road and mountain bike at home.
After having a bit of a sleep in to 7am this morning to catch up on some sleep, I quickly had breakfast and headed off to park at Wonthaggi to start the ride.
Between the hours of 08:00-15:00, I was able to get to Kilcunda and back as well as complete 44 of the 50 rail trail caches that I set out to do, (6 DNF's due to not being able to find them and not spend to much time there or due to muggle activity).
I was very impressed with the variety of caches and different cache hides along this part of the Rail Trail. I ended up spending a lot more time looking for caches then riding as quite a few of them were a challenge to find!
Thank you Gonefishen07 for the effort put into these caches, had a really fun ride.

Was going to walk some of the rail trail today as we had a few hours up our sleeves, but given the look of the weather, decided to do a circuit to pick up a few caches so we stayed closer to the car if needed.
Impressive cache container!! TFTC

Another one along the trail. Nearly back to the car. I must come back and do the rest sometime.
In Wonthaggi this weekend for a whole heap of geocaching!
Saturday, and what was planned to be a massive day. The schedule was to travel to Kilcunda via the rail trail, then head back down the coast. Unfortunately I ran out of time and had to head back to Wonthaggi before completing all the caches. Nevertheless a heap of smileys are now on the map, and I had a blast. A huge thank you to Gonefishen07 for placing these, they are great! Ill be back another day to finish the area off!
A quick find.

Having done the original part of the rail trail, I am always keen to pick up extras in this series when I can.

We had a great day on the rail trail between Dalyston and Wonthaggi today. Thanks to Gonefishen07 for your effort in hiding all these caches.
On our way back from caching one of the local trails with KI Bug we were offered the opportunity to go shopping by the ladies. We declined but duly took up the opportunity to search for another cache or two. After a false start heading to a cache that was offline we finally settled on this one. With a bit of scratching around we turned up the goods and signed the log then hot footed it back to the shopping centre arriving before the shopping expedition had concluded and no one the wiser. A successful side track.

A mornings geocaching with SkiPair and we then had to do some shopping. Who wants to do shopping! While the girls were doing what had to be done, the boys decided to "bug-off" so to speak. Had to resort to the clue and it still took a few minutes to find. It was then a brisk walk back to the geo-truck before we were missed. Whew, we made it, they were none the wiser. TNLNSL thanks Gonefishen07.
DNF at 11:54 AM. Another one for the day. Looks like there has been some cleaning up of the area.
Out for a days caching while staying in the area. I decided to enjoy the solitude of a long walk with lots of caches. My aim is to get to Wonthaggi.
This one was a soggy mess so o replaced the log. Tftc

the log in this cache is a now just a piece of soggy pulp and needs replacing.
Thought I would go for my third cache today and was onto this one very quickly but sadly the log is just pulpy paper so I was unable to sign it. I didn't even think to take a photo, but never mind, maybe when the log is replaced I can sign it later. TFTC
[font=Comic Sans MS][Green]I'm heading eastwards on a day caching in and around Wonthaggi with Square_Pegs after leaving Melbourne early this morning before sunrise. Later on, I got the opportunity to find this cache in good condition and with spot on co-ordinates.
It's been too long since my last visit. Thanks Gonefishen07 for making this an enjoyable day exploring

The log is very soggy and will need replacement. Sorry I didn't have a spare with me.
Setting off for a short stroll picking up a few more rail trail caches, we stopped by to find this funny hide. Ones like this make me smile. Unfortunately the log is absolute pulp, so we took a photo.
Thanks for the cache.
