Happy to be back in the area today with some free time and nice weather so decided to take a stroll and collect a few caches. Could see a bit of a geo trail here but had to detour to the nearby seat while a muggle passed them come back to investigate. I'm glad I rechecked the area coz I nearly avoided plunging in too deep by discovering thus little guy in an easy to get to place. TFTC
Out and about today for a bit of Gonefishen fishing.
Found this in the second place I looked, which is not normal with this CO
Thanks Leesa for a fun walk on the rain

Gave this one another go after not be able to find it yesterday. Found the little bugger this time in its little hiding spot
Found with cjfinda......I never fail to marvel at the places geocaching makes you put your hands....Another clever use of nature's little nooks and crannies. TFTC

matt_geo had a bit of a poke around before declaring that it wasn't there before I gave it a bit more of a go and came up with the cache. TFTC.
It always amazes me how the CO finds places like this to hide the cache like this in the first place. Neat little hide TFTC Gonefishin
Out on our day together with my daughter (kaddy124) and Grandson in Wonthaggi thought we would lay assault on the local trails. Tyftc.
Found with WeRAmused. On the bikes today investigating area, very enjoyable. TFTC
Found once GPS settled. Didn't expect it where I found it. It was a bit tricky to extract but once I settled to the job obstacles were overcome. Swapped badges. TFTC
At the last cache we were scratching around and looking puzzled at the trees when an elderly muggle walked past with a very nosy dog. The dog really wanted to know what we were up to and the lady was trying to move it along as we clearly looked very strange. After we gave up on finding that cache we picked up our pace again to get down to this cache and we passed the muggle + dog on the way. When we pulled up at GZ here the muggle really got suspicious and as she approached she said "what are you looking for?"
We gave her a brief run down on geocaching and she got very excited. She had thought we were Uni students studying the trees but she agreed that geocaching sounded MUCH more exciting. She wished us luck and moved on. We found the cache after a short search and as we were signing the log the muggle came back along the track and we showed her the log book and container. She was fascinated by the number of people who had signed the log and loved hearing about our fabulous hobby.

We were on the clock and didn't have time to wait out muggles on the track. So we just started searching and explained to the woman walking her dog what we were doing! She was fascinated and will think about camels every time she walks past this section of the rail trail . The cache is no longer a camel but fits nicely into its little hidey hole.
This was to be our last cache in Wonthaggi, as we were heading home after a fruitful morning on some of your caches. This one proved a nice find after a better look once at GZ.
TFTC Gonefishen07 for this cache and placement.

Nice, sneaky cache. Took a few minutes to find this, then noticed something I thought was out of place and lo and behold, there was the cache. TFTC
Suscoe decided to spend a second day visiting the caches of the Inverloch area.
It was significantly different temperature wise today, about 20 degrees cooler in fact.
Clouds accompanied the day, but it kept dry until quite late in the afternoon.
We continued to enjoy finding these caches, a delightful range of hides, containers and locations.
We decided to make a late afternoon trip to Wonthaggi for a short ride.
A quick find here.
Mr. S prefers the ones with one hump.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for another nice placement.

Hi there Gonefishen07.
We found your cache "Rail Trail-One Hump or Two!"at 12:38:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12661.
Today we chauffeured Gonefishen07 around the countryside as she wanted to do a maintenance run on some of her caches. She's a hard task mistress - we had to find each one without any help whatsoever.
We covered a lot of ground today and found a variety of cache hides, visited an "off grid" totally solar powered house, and even found a cache we DNF'd the other day. When we finished our run we found that we had logged 19 and DNF'd 0 caches.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache EXACTLY where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Just booked out hotel and grabbing a couple of extra before bedding down. Today has been a huge day and were feeling a bit sunburned, however it has been an enjoyable day. the cache variety, the types of hide and thinking of the maintenance on all must be huge task. we highly recommend this series. Not too difficult to ride fighter. Thank you for placing these for all to enjoy.
Found with Mansgirl on a day out caching. Took a while, other logs helped. Thanks.
On a road trip while over for the Melbourne Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.

After finishing work in Wonthaggi, I grabbed a few caches along the Rail Trail, nice walk on a cold winters day. sl Thanks Gonefishen07 for another cache along this great trail.
TFTC. Having left this one yesterday, I came back for a second look. I had moved the camoflauge yesterday, but I should have had a better look. There it was!
TFTC. Our stay I this area is rapidly coming to an end. The day is cool and dry ,time to do this section of the rail trial. The variety of hides makes this hobby all the more worthwhile.
This one had me beaten today. Searched high and low,but nothing jumped out at me. Time was against me as a group of Muggles came cycling down the trail. Oh well, another time.

On a weekend visit from Geelong, I thought I would grab a few rail trail caches while out and about enjoying the sights. Some were easy, others took longer to find. The variety of cache containers and the different types of hides was mind boggling. It is always a pleasure to cache with accurate co-ords and all of the hides were spot on. I couldn't believe just how hides many there are on the trail. It will take a few more visits to knock these off !! I can't wait to return. TFTC Gonefishen07.
Elly.B found this one before the rest of the GeoBears and PB even started looking. It wasn't covered well, so when we put it back we tried to cover it a little more. TFTC
Quick find by Elly.B Today while grabbing a few caches along the rail trail. PB and The GeoBears in tow. TFTC.
We pondered the name of this cache as we approached and I made an almost-too-easy find because it was protruding from its hidey hole and was within plain sight; I can't believe it wasn't muggled by the many walkers we'd already passed. A quick retrieval, signatures and we tried to replace it a little more concealed than before to prolong its life. TFTC Gonefishen07
Out for a walk on Good Friday on a section of this series. First time for our 5week old. We found this one pretty quickly.
This was the third of the day, and the ladies hadn't even got out of the car yet.
We looked at the possibilities here and speculated and searched a bit before looking in te obvious place and of course that is where it was.
Thanks for another on GF. May we find many more today!

This one had us fooled for a short while however we managed to find the sneaky thing and sign the log. Thanks for another good cache.
Met up with Team Crackers for 2 days, to tackle the Rail Trail and a few local caches.
Day 2 and back on the bikes again. The weather was windy but sunny - very different to yesterday.
We found a good variety of hides, with the odd one being a little tricky.
This is a fantastic trail, and we award each one a favourite point.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

Our 2nd DNF for the day and with not much in the way of directions, we didn't want to spent too much time here today.
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat, today Mr Felix headed out on the GeoBike to tackle some more of the rail trail.
Knowing that some of these micro's were to be evil not a lot of hope was held for a numbers run today.
Happy New Year! Well seems every muggle from here to Melbourne was out walking or riding the rail trail today. . It was a struggle but somebody had to do it. .
Beautiful day and the rain held off. An amazing series you have created here. So much hard work and effort has gone into constructing then of course to maintain too. Great work.
TFTC Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at the next Australian Geocaching Mega event

The day started for me at 7:25am & I finished at 5:29pm in Wonthaggi. I had the most enjoyable time seeing plenty along the way & enjoyed the variety of cache hides & containers. A brilliant effort and I thank the CO for the most enjoyable day out!

Was not really up for a day of caching with a cold, but after a phone call with BorisB&Natasha, the thought that the fresh air might do me some good and finding some more of Gonefishen07's high caliber caches I was easily persuaded.
Natasha found in the same place I had just looked....I must of had a bear look
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

An impromptu caching day saw Nut bear and I returning to the very familiar and always entertaining Gonefishen07 territory.
This was more a case of one look or two. Not found on the first look by someone who shall remain nameless but spotted by the other in the search party. I must admit though that having a cold is a very good excuse.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

Nice hide. Met M&G Clan and Street Team 1 on the trail. Always nice to chat with other cachers. SL TFTC
Found after a bit of a search TFTC What a bad weekend!! Decide to head to wonthaggi to complete the rail trail. We were coming from Geelong and what happens? Our car breaks down!!! Anyway so we are stuck in Cape Paterson with one less car and thought it's ok it's still worthwhile if we find one cache tonight. That didn't happen so today we are attacking the rail trail while we wait for geohubby to come pick us up!
Arrived in Wonthaggi after lunch today. We set up in the caravan park & then headed out to do part of the RT that was close by.
Enjoyed my walk along this lonely track, overtaken by 2 cyclists.
Thanks Gonefishen07

We headed out from Wongathi to do more of the rail trail making sure we were heading in the right direction so that the strong wind was pushing us along rather than us having to ride into it. Lots of creative and interesting hides and a really pleasant trail. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. Thanks to Gonefishen07 for the enormous effort that has been put in to enhance of enjoyment of this caching experience.
Out on the bike again with Bruce finding a few more caches along the rail trail. Started at the coal mine hoping to catch a tail wind back to Powlett River. Today we found another 34 caches mostly fairly easy finds with a few tricky micros in the bush. Tip, not all micros are small. Unfortunately we had a few dnf's today, it seemed these were mostly in areas where some cleaning up has taken place and maybe the caches have been taken as well. All up a good day of caching and some exercise to boot. Thanks to Gonefishen07 for hiding this cache.
I continued along the trail which was almost deserted which gave me ample time at each spot to search. This well hidden cache soon revealed itself.

Melbourne parties Friday noon and returned Tuesday morning in Melbourne. I came here to make different trail of caches in the area. It was intense few days with my bike but very nice! I could find caches with superb camouflage, very good ideas from the cachers. This log will be the same for all caches that I made (sorry) But I want to congratulate in particular:
Nut bear & BorisB & Natasha for "Bay Trail" and "Red Hill Express" (Beautiful cover!)
The Three Amigos Geo for "The Pathway"
Gonefishen07 for the great "Rail Trail"
As well as other geocacher who I discovered several caches during these few days.
Thank you very much

Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we explored Wonthaggi and surrounds using geocaching as our guide.
We found a total of 51 caches and this was one of them. Our 44th cache of the day.
As we progressed along the trail we were impressed by the variety of hides and the creative use of containers. Some we found quickly and others needed a little more investigation before they revealed themselves.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for taking the time to place and maintain these caches for our enjoyment. We really appreciate the effort gone into these creative and inventive hides. A great days caching and one we will remember.
