#3710 This was our 3rd attendance to this annual event and it never ceases to amaze us just how far away we have to park ! Just as well we had plenty of time to enjoy some lunch before casually making our way to find some shade in the mall. We could see quite a few familiar faces amassing and all of a sudden the magic box appeared - as did a multitude of cachers. Great to catch up with so many familiar faces as well as some new. Thanks once again 379Jonti379 - perhaps we'll see you again next year - it seems to be the reason for our annual pilgrimage to this beautiful city. Cheers [^]

Little groups of cachers lurking in the shade around the edge of the mall, just waiting for thirteenth hour! it is always good to catch up with friends and meet other cachers for the first time.

Mary & David were there. We arrived in the Mall with about 10 minutes to go, and occupied our time with the usual game of "Spot the Geocachers" over a cup of coffee. Quickly noted a lot of the usual suspects. Then Jonti appeared and the Mob flashed into life. As we discussed over dinner that night at the Stadium, geocachers are far too sociable to be serious Flash Mobbers, and hang around chatting for a long time afterwards. We loved catching up with old friends, and managed to meet a few new ones too. Along the way, a plan was hatched for a group assault on the "Above and Beyond" series, so it was soon time to head off again. Our thanks to 379Jonti379.

It was a pleasure to attend our 4th Mall event, to catch up with many geo friends, and to be come acquainted with new ones.

We ventured down early enough to have some lunch in the mall and play spot the cacher. And we did although it always surprises me how many we didn't see at events. Thanks for another event Jonti

Was great to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones.
Added a couple of Pathtags to my collection too.

We left Geelong at 06.30 to head up to Bendigo stopping at Ballan for breakfast. The aim for today way to grab any mysteries that had been solved that we could but if passing any Traditionals they would be included and at 01.00 we would attend the Flash Mob in the Bendigo Mall.

Also late last night Phetlern phoned me while I was out for dinner would we be interested to have a look at ‘Above and beyond “series which includes a 5x5 cache.

Burning the midnight oil all were printed just in case we decided to go down this path.

While we were waiting for 01.00 some of the locals were trying to convert us to their way of thinking but it did not work because at the hour their crowd just left and became cachers again.

This was my second year in a row and while there we organised a group attack on the Above and Beyond series which turned out to be another highlight of the day.

I wonder what Romax is pointing at in the photo on stooy's log!!!

Great to attend and catch up with so many cachers from far and wide. After the event I had the opportunity to grab a few finds with The Morris and Skullracing. Thanks Jonti for organising this well attended event.

Tamzy took me to this one it was my first flash mob event so wasn't sure what to expect, Tamzy, Curl69 and I enjoyed a pie and then headed off window shopping waiting for the final moment. Then we were approached by a person handing out pamphlets on miracles and seen a group preaching trying to attract listeners, then it was time to move to the special spot and it was game on, had to laugh at the preacher guy trying to get a look at what the attraction was scratching his head and wondering why the case was more popular than him maybe we could convert him lol thanks for the experience enjoyed seeing familiar faces and having a quick chat then off to spend the day finding treasures

We headed to Bendigo to attend another Flash Mob.
The day was a lot hotter than we realized it would be but we still managed to find a few caches.
This is the third time we have headed to the Flash Mob in the mall.
As always we were there earlier and tried to spot fellow cachers before 1:00.
We spotted some but others we thougt were cacher turned out to not be cachers.
The Mob came just at the right time as some crazys were just starting to push religion at the nearby shoppers, so we were glad to escape their clutches.

Suscoe was out and about today for a country jaunt to the bendigo area for some caching fun and attendance at the Flash Mob in Bendigo. We had Bushfire keeping us company and working with us to deal with a number of mysteries and traditionals along the way. It was a great day out, most enjoyable but at times a little hot for our liking.

We arrived around 15 minutes early and had a chat with a fewe new faces and some who we have met once or twice.

Lots of cachers about and it was nice to put faces to names and avatars.

Thanks to jonti for taking the time to get this one up and going, our first time to attend and this added to a terrific day out. Glad we made the trip from Geelong.

Great to attend our second Meeting At The Mall event - thanks to 379Jonti379! This time last year we had only just started caching and weren't too sure about the whole thing, Meeting at the Mall was our first event - 584 caches later, we're ridiculously addicted! Great to catch up with other cachers, TFTC

Thanks for organising the Flash mob - we seem to be getting worse at the disappearing part of the flash, but it was nice to catch up with other geocachers.

Attended my fourth flash mob in the Hargreaves Mall. Dropped by on the way to tennis so didnt have time to wait for the photo, but thanks for organising another successful event.

A big cheers to Jonti for putting on this event - it was our second MATM FME
Mr Whit found the curiosity of the preacher (and other muggles) stroll all the way down to our end of the mall just to check out what was going on. Guess the briefcase had drawn a much bigger crowd than they had!

Great to catch up with many a cacher and meet some new ones too!

Can't wait for the big "V" in 2014! Maybe some special plans?

Half the fun of these events is wandering around the area in the last half hour before flash time, spotting the other geocachers
A brief look down a familiar alley way revealed the unmistakable sight of a small group engaged in finding a hole in the wall
It was fun to be part of a sudden crowd in the middle of the fountain too

A few muggles had to wander in closer to investigate the contents of the briefcase.
It was a laugh to see them wander off again, disappointed that there was nothing of value on offer for them to grab a piece of.
The rest of us knew the true value of those blank bits of paper though [^]

Hilarious! Some evangelist was harping on down the mall just before 1pm and then suddenly "his crowd" disappeared to attend the flash mob Thanks for the excuse to visit Bendigo - it's always a nice day out of Melbourne

Find #650 at 1pm. YAY!! WE REACHED 650!! Another great Flashmob Jonti, thanks for not giving up on it. Great to catch up with some familiar cachers and to meet some new ones as well.

Finally got to attended a flash mob, was disappointed I couldn't attend last year due to being interstate on a holiday! Spotted some familiar faces trying to look like regular shoppers prior to the grand opening! Nice to see the preacher come and have a little look at what seemed to gain more attention than him lol! Also a great excuse to cache the rest of the day away!! Thanks Jonti

Haven't had much time to cache lately and was only informed of this event after seeing a status update by Zombie on Facebook. Plenty of notice ensured I could attend.

It was my third flashmob in the mall and while it was a hot day, it was still good fun to see a mob of cachers appear out of nowhere to the bemused public walking by.

TFTC Jonti, had a blast and look forward to next year.

Lol on a day trip up from geelong for a cousins 21st in bendigo an l thought l would check the geo surroundings on the phone and this event come up.

This is such a cool idea an will be back next year for this event l reckon

Suscoe is planning a trip to Bendigo to fit this event in, looking forward to flashmobbing.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I wont be able to make this now.

At the moment I will be attending this event and will probably bring a few others along with me, but a lot can happen in a few days.

If I'm in town I will be attending. Probably won't know until the day though.

I attended a Flash Mob Event in Toowoomba a few years ago and it was pure hilarity
So I will be hanging around the Greater Bendigo City area for this one
Oh that reminds me, I'd better check the time zone setting on my GPS !!
