Adelaide Leap Day trip. Day 3. For my first day in Adelaide it was a family day. We had a great lunch in town before heading home for an afternoon siesta. I managed to get moving again and headed to a nearby area at Craigieburn park to try for a few caches. I missed two of the nones I tried, but I enjoyed the climb on the treehouse. This was another one I failed to locate, but maybe I just missed it. Thanks.Albida

I saw the start of the walk here when I was visiting the area recently. I decided to come back today and walk along and find some caches along the way. I did know some rain was on the way, but I managed to finish caching before the rain came through. It was a bit of a soggy walk though. Took me a bit of time to find this one but got there in the end. TFTC stanleys

I have been meaning to come and find this little series of caches for quite a while and decided that today would be a nice day for a walk although it ended up being quite warm so I only found 5 of the 6 with the first one to be found on another day. [^]

A quick find here but not where I was expecting it to be. The log was wet but I was able to stamp it. Hopefully the warm weather will dry it out. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache Team_Crumble. Smile

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February. Red Face
Then came Covid-19 and now caching will have to take a back seat or be socially responsible. Twisted
No more than one or two people and target caches that haven't been visited in some time. Cool

So today it was just Anymules and me going for long walks in Sturt Gorge and surrounds getting caches nobody has visited for a while. Wink Time for our third walk for the day. Fifth stop. Razz One more stop after this and we can walk back to the car. [^] yet another quick find was made - this time by me for a change. Smile

***Thanks Team_Crumble for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

We came up to this cache from below so enjoyed the new trail that is very easy to walk on. We did do little cross country to avoid the zig zag but had no difficulty even in the wet.

Good coordinates led us to a quick find of a well hidden cache container which was in good condition.

Thanks for this cache stanleys. This is certainly a beautiful old gum tree and a well constructed walking track.

28-Jul-19
On a nice winter's day, jesswrigley and I decided to do some mountain biking around Craigburn Farm, whilst collecting a few geocaches. Although we had the weather on our side, it turned out that a mountain bike club was holding a race event, and limited the paths that we could travel. So we had to adjust our plans a little, and ended up doing a full loop around the river, which was a bit longer than my original thinking. All up, a nice 15 geocaches found. Was good to have had a nice feast following the exercise in the middle of the day.

Not sure about the hint with this one, but made a quick find at a nice shady gum tree with nice views. Logbook and contents still good. Thanks for the hide and ongoing maintenance stanleys and Team_Crumble.

Today was a day I set aside for collecting multi caches. I had identified 12 to tackle. I ended up with 8 found and several I did not attempt.
It was a day of epic frustrations. The Cachly app absolutely did my head in, I hate the new version and wish I still had the old one, but I guess I will just have to get used to it.
I also had a lot of frustration with the multis I did. So many ambiguious questions, it was hard to know reading the description what the COs were thinking with their questions. If only it were a requirement for all so called simple multis to have a simple check sum (not a checker) so you there is less chance of ending up at a calculated GZ to find that you have misinterpreted what the CO needed you to do and then having to back track, sometimes over and over again. Back and forth to plaques and signs.....
I think there were only 3 out of the 8 I did that I thought were straight forward and not ambiguous. There was also issues with missing information at some of the multis and of course my own frustrations of not being able to find caches, but all attempted were eventually located. Parking issues also meant that I didn't attempt a couple on my list and another I arrived at to find it involved climbing on play equipment, today was not a sensible day for that.
I also ended up collecting a few others to make the numbers to the double digits for the day. I also had 2 dnfs on regular caches.
Not my best day caching but at least there are another 8 multis added to the tally and a little closer to my target for the year. Whilst this log is full of moaning I do appreciate all of the hides I found today and the efforts of the COs. Hoping to get to 31 multis for the month, still a long way to go.
I added this trad to my list after not attempting the multi nearby, needed to make the drive here worthwhile. Nice quick find, not sure it is where it used to be but still nicely hidden. This area will change massively soon they are marking out the land nearby for housing.TFTC

Out for another Tuesday night caching run with Moneydork, this time joined by the always smiling Mattycat. With a new linear walk trail published, we headed down south, and managed to take care of a few old nemisis caches as well.

Another find on our night time hike, as we delved further into the scrubland west of Coro Valley. It was a great night for it and we thoroughly enjoyed the caches we found.

This was find number 9 of 13 for the day for me. TFTC stanleys!

I finished my walk on the other side of the river earlier than I thought I would so what better way to fill in a Sunday morning than a walk around the hills.

This cache was easily found.

I've dropped a TB to continue travels in fresh hands.

Thanks for the walk and the cache stanleys.

Mr Tardis went for a nice Sunday afternoon walk along this great new track. If not for this series of caches I wouldn't have known this nice trail existed.

I stopped here for some shade - and a cache. I said hello top the little spider guarding the cache.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache stanleys.

No sign of Tardis yet. Still muggles to contend with though (and these ones seem a little more interested in what we are up to). One big tree though!! TFTC stanleys.

21-Feb-13
Forget the footy, the cricket and the giggle box and go and follow this trail. The fresh air and exercise is really good for you and you may even find 7 caches. From the car park to the most distant cache Lakeview Log took about an hour and quarter finding all the caches along the way and then about 35 minutes to walk back. The views are splendid and no doubt there will be more caches placed further along the trail to Blackwood Park.
All caches are easily accessible from the hard metal rolled pathway. Coords are great and clues/hints very helpful.
A welcome bit of shade, the hardest part of the trail is now over.
Thanks to the stanleys for the caches
