On our road trip to the Northern Territory we made some caching stops during the long drive.Found it with brezelitos.TFTC
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 123 - Leycesters Rest area on the Ord River to Kununurra via Turkey Creek Roadhouse at Warmum. I set out promptly in the morning. This far east, the sun is up and backing way too early. I had only two stops today, and I was able to fix a DNF from 2018 and have breakfast at my first stop. The traffic on the road is mostly caravans, but there is not as much of it as further south. I spent the afternoon at the caravan park in Kununurra and soaked in the pool to try and cool down a bit before cooking dinner in the van. A day trip to Wyndham tomorrow. Before I went inside to buy a sausage roll, I walked over to this cache. In 2018 I was interrupted in my search by a resident coming out to see what I was doing. I did see cars inside today, but no one came out and I was able to look around until I saw the cache cover and the cache underneath. This find makes me happy after six years !Thanks for the cache Travelling Sister48929.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2017 OZ Mega Alice Springs A#358**Albida**

East find, I like finding Mary MacKillop caches, all in good order. Stamped log and replaced. To CO
A stop here on the return journey home to get some hot chips and gravy (not as good as the way in, sadly). Also managed to sneak in this cache find without too much trouble, watched over by two camp dogs. TFTC

We’re on a coach tour through the Kimberleys and very limited on hte caches we can try to find. Today we by-passed two other Mary MacKillop caches (along with a heap of others we would have liked to have a crack at), so were feeling a bit frustrated. Then we stopped at the road house next door and actually had some time for the fleet of foot one of us to go for a hunt.
Thanks to the hint and accurate coords the cache was quickly ound, log signed, cache replaced and coach returned to in plenty of time. We’ve found others closer to home in this series and would love to have a crack at the others further afield, but our chances of returning to have a go at the ones we missed one our route today are pretty slim.
The cache is in good condition.

Thanks for the cache. Second find today on our way to Kununurra. See you Warmun!
Heading north with richlink to Darwin and beyond enjoying the stunning scenery and picking up a cache or two along our route. A quick find here, thanks Travelling Sister.
Travelling north to Darwin with iluvtrekking. After leaving Larrawa Station where we enjoyed an overnight stay we headed towards Kununurra picking up cache finds along the route. No problem here thanks Travelling Sister
2 weeks in the Kimberley with Dino, Pebbles and Wilma. What a treat and not just that we went around to so many great natural highlights but we did Caches wherever we went which made me very happy and will be perfect to remember all those nice places we saw. Thank you all for showing us this beautiful state with your caches.
Today we are driving from Punululu to Kununarra to pick up Pebbles. This was the first fuel coimg out of the park so we filled up and I just noticed in time that there was this cache eight here as well so quickly found it with the hint. Someone was watering here during the middle of the day heat. Didn't look very sensible.
Thank you Travelling Sister for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

On our way form El Questro to the Purnululu National Park we made some stops to find some caches.
While I was refueling our car, Mum-Inegüxle and little Inegüxle went to hunt for this cache. They managed to get it done without my help...
Thanks for the cache and regards from Switzerland.

Found easily here today.
When GreyHams discovered a great deal to relocate a motor home from Broome to Darwin, things quickly slotted into place to head out for another adventure together. Three planes and a full day of travelling later we arrived in Broome, with the most amazing orange sunset out the windows of the plane.
Plenty of time to discover a few of Broomes caches and places before collecting our wheels the following morning. It slept 6 and had all the luxuries, it was huge, climbing up into it there was no going back and off we set!
The drive was full of changing scenery. Loved the Boab trees in all their different shapes and mass numbers, termite mounds and the red earth. Wildlife lined the roads, always cattle but birds, wild horses, snakes, dingo's, pigs and even buffalo! Stunning rock formations, waterways and even many little fires it was a great drive stopping for the caches as we passed... but no crocs (sad face!)
Leaving Broome we had overnight stays in Fitzroy Crossing, Kununarra and Timber Creek, great places but the highlight being the Lazy Lizard in Timber Creek. Passing through Halls Creek, Katherine and even Kakadu among many other little towns and stops along the way added to a great trip. The van was comfortable and a novel way to travel, the caches spread out over big distances a chance to stretch the legs.
Arriving into Darwin and the van returned it was into town for a few must find caches, and to explore the town, a tad warmer than we were used to at 33C!
Many thanks to all the COs of the caches we stopped at along the way and that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Aquilus1 & I decided at short notice to add another 'crazy' trip to our growing list of adventures. Flying from Canberra to Broome and driving a 'war rig' huge campervan from Broome to Darwin. It could sleep 6! The hire itself cost almost nothing as it was on a 'relocation' deal.
We arrived too late to pick up the bus on our first day....not surprising really as it took 3 flights to get there. The hotel we stayed at in Broome at had a "competition" on the night we arrived and several barmaids in odd clothing.... "Welcome to WA" it would seem.
After picking up the battleship, we proceeded easterly on our adventure. In three days we would see Fitzroy's Crossing, Hall's Creek, Kununurra, Timber Creek, Katherine, Pine Creek, Kakadu & Darwin, as well as a lot of road.
No crocs spotted, but we did see dingo's, water buffalo, horses, lots of birds & cows.
Favourite stop by a mile was in Pine Creek, at the Lazy Lizard. Very cool and also the cheapest!
Thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Found it on our way to Bungle Bungles. I feel like this one is harder than a 1.5 difficulty. Took me about 3 tries of walking away and going back. The hint in the comments of the “key” is to look “diagonally” from the pile of rocks sent me looking a little afar, but once I came back to the cattle grid, bam, there it was. Tricky find. TFTC
On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
Cache is still there. Not under rock, it is the rock. Log is damp but still ok to sign.

Very hard , picked it up but didn’t see it until I throw it back so hard for us and we’re going to give up and stayed for another 5 mins and finally found it !!!!
Just when I thought the cache was missing, I found it. Still room in the log. Not the suspicious rock pile. The 'key' is to look diagonally from the rocks, then it will 'rock', as the hint no longer applies.

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Had to extend the search but came up with the goods.
Thanks Travelling Sister for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

The journey continues west with ilook4geo and this was an easy find for the day, although we almost overlooked it. It was a day of quite a lot of travel time with just the caches along the route to be found. The log here was signed with two more names before being replaced as found. Thanks go to Travelling Sister for placing this cache.
There was no problem in finding this one, with a bit of careful looking, along with goingplaces2. Signed the log and replaced it as found. TFTC.
G'day TS
Yep !! It's Smee !!
Your humble, cache finding servant If
Today's pilgrimage took me to Warmun.
Where I wandered over to the entry to this interesting spot.
An interesting, well kempt, but seemingly uninhabited spot !!
Nobody seems to be staying here at the moment.
So finding the cache at the gate,
was a simple affair

Felt pretty silly inspecting a cattle grid but noone around to take any notice. Made the find after a minute or two and back to the roadhouse for a coffee. TFTC

Tftc stopped here for fuel & food. Great roadhouse, lovely staff. Chicken chips & salad delicious. On our way to the Bungles
Quick find whilst we fueled up and grabbed a bite to eat as we head towards the Bungle Bungles
Thanks Travelling Sister

We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
Stopped here for lunch and when we had finished I walked over to grab this one. Certainly is a busy roadhouse at this time of day
This was find number 6 for the day.

Thank you! I headed off on a two week group tour of the Kimberley, from Broome to Kununurra via the Gibb River Road, then back via the Great Northern Highway. Being an organised trip, all caching was opportunistic rather than planned.
We stopped just metres away for a break and lunch in the shade, so of course I quickly snuck away to take care of caching duties.

Enjoying a lovely scenic drive we stopped near GZ and found this cache. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Travelling Sister.
What an amazing woman. Thanks for placing the cache in her name. Stopped for a quick bite and for some fuel and grabbed this one fairly easily and quickly. TFTC
Nice fresh new cache. Quick find again using the hint.

We replaced with one with a mint tin in position stated in description/hint. Hope that's OK.

Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Warmun Roadhouse to the Purnululu NP.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Travelling Sister' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Mary MacKillop - Mirilingki' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

Walked over from the campground this morning to find this one. Thanks for the history lesson. Cache is fine. TFTC
In Perth for medical treatment following an accident. Anticipating back in Warmun in a month to do maintenance
Did not find. Grate is full off leaves and the day was very hot so I was not about to be removing all the leaves to try and find.
After leaving my muggle friends at the Rock, it was time to head north and now west towards the Bungles and get a bit of caching down on the way to my final destination.
A very hot afternoon but if caching you gotta do what you gotta a do.
I went past this one 3 times in a couple of days and each time I was unable to replace the cache with a container I have on hand due to muggles.
I hope somebody can replace in the near future.
Thanks Travelling Sister TFTC.

Visited location but gate it no longer in existence. Dnf cache. Unfortunately didn’t have a new container to replace it with:(
Replaced with a plactic bag inside a damaged mint tin. Hopefully the next person has a better repair kit

Oh dear .... on holidays for a few months - anyone travelling through that could offer a replacement cache?
As we continue on our year trip and head toward the bungle bungles we will cache along the way. From Geelong victoria up the centre to Darwin we stayed in Kununurra to explore the Kimberley’ s and enjoy the ord river muster. We need to keep moving to make home for Christmas

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 16. After a leisurely start from El Questro I headed back to the bitumen and SW along the Northern Highway to Halls Creek.
I was looking here when a local came out to see what I was up to. The staff co-ordinator had not head about caching and suggested I visit the local arts center instead as the was the private residences.
Thanks.

Unfortunately couldnt find it however we had friends with a resident cow and hung out for a little while. Thanks anyway
After a two night stay in Kununurra it was time to head back south . No real plans where we will stop for the night just stop when we've had enough for the day
Will try and grabbed a few caches along this giant stretch of road
Sadly we didn't find this one. We didn't time it well being noon as cars were coming and going while we were trying to look
Oh well another time
