Logs
A bit of a drizzly morning, but not enough to put us off a bit of shopping at the markets, and grabbing some more caches before heading back to Hamilton. I was having some major issue's with getting things to work (turned out it was an issue with both the lab cache and geocaching sites that many people were having today), but perseverance paid off, and I got there eventually. This cache wasn't even showing up on my page, so I had to rely entirely on matagouri to guide me here. After a bit of searching around, matagouri made the find. Thanks for putting this here
Super fun to find. Defo be ware of those muggles. Bring your invisibility cloak!
Fiddled with a rope in a tree before spotting this one. Very snea-key! Thanks for the cache!+fav point
Found nicely, great cache!! But the log was almost impossible to write on.A new log would be really appreciatedTFTC
Hi seems like the log is full I will check and sort it out I am local to this cache
Such a cool cache! Unfortunately the log has turned to mush and I didn't have any spare paper so marked as DNF Will be coming back to avenge myself!!
I don't restart work again until the 8th of Jan. With free accommodation I decided a geocaching holiday in Auckland was a good way to spend this week off. Most of the week I geocached with Yvettetb but the beginning and end I was on my own. Tuesdays focus area was around the Orakei Basin area and Saint John's. Wednesday we ended up caching in the Waitakeries and finished up in Glen Eden, New Lynn and Waterview. Today we're going to geocache around Blockhouse Bay, Green Bay and Titirangi. This was our first find of the day. It took us a while as our GPS's weren't settling very well. We followed along the hint and soon found it. Thanks for your interesting cache hide
What a fantastic cache, loved it. The GPS was bouncing a little but we found the hint and soon had the cache in hand. TFGC and thanks for bringing me here. Our New Year caching trip in 2024 was in and around Auckland with Lis's Crew. Today we were planning on going in and around Titirangi after being unsuccessful yesterday due to various road closures on our travels. A great way to spend another sunny summers day.
Day 12: Waitakere and the Western LineTodays journey took us to Titirangi and Arataki in the morning to look at some Kauri trees and to explore the region. After that, it was a quick sojourn to Bethells Beach / Te Henga and then I took the train from Swanson to Kingsland to pick up some long overdue puzzles and multis that I have been meaning to get. Finally, it was on to the city for dinner - a truly busy day today, and thanks for all the caches and puzzles that I found! (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:This cache piqued my interest given the unusually high number of FPs for a suburban cache. It didnt disappoint, of course, and indeed the first of its type I have seen. Good to know that geocaching still has the capacity to surprise in pleasant ways. TFTC!
School holidays and time for a road trip to Auckland to visit family. Nice sunny day for a change so out caching. Noted all the FP’s on this one and not disappointed. Great hide. Happy to add to the favourite points. Cache and log all fine. Thanks Gam and co for the smiley.
Nice wee hide, checked pretty much the whole length before finding what we were looking for. Cache unlocked then had no tweezers available so had to use mother nature and weedle it out with a twig.
We have been wanting to visit this park for years and drive past it often so we were pleased to finally do so today.
We parked nearby and headed in at the entrance nearest to to this cache.
One at GZ we circled around bit but soon noticed something that needed further investigation.
A closer inspection revealed this very clever and unique cache, very nicely done.
Thanks for a great start to our walk, a definite favourite point.

Nice find. Located something a bit out of place on approach so, an easy find. Log was a little hard to sign. TFTC
At first my GPS was a little off, but I widened my search and quickly found. TFTC
Further away than initially thought but then an easy find. Tweezers would be useful!
Found it after a while of searching, made it easier to get for the next person, very cool
Very unique hide could get the log as left my tweezers at home, will sign it if im back in Auckland with time to revisit
Find number 3 for the afternoon. This was a really clever hide, something people would walk past all the time without thinking much of it, but that's kind of obvious if you're looking for it. I'm glad I had tweezers with me to get the log out.
Thanks for the unique cache! I've seen similar, but nothing quite like this before

Keylev and I were on a mission to really crank up the numbers today. So better get to it!
My GPS was playing up again but keylev was quick to spot and sign. TFTC

Spotted this highly FPd cache was en route so called in and parked nearby. Across to GZ and soon had the cache sighted but could not see a log to sign. Back to the car for a piece of RITR I had spare and added to the cache, then spotted the real log curled in the recess. Tried to sign that and put all back where found. Nice execution of the hide here Gam & Co.
So, my time living in the area is rapidly coming to a conclusion and I move South in a couple of weeks time back to the Manawatu region, though have plans to head back here periodically to visit and explore, once more. After my work chores were done for the day I headed out once more and my targets were a few solved puzzles out Blockhouse Bay/'nearby' areas. Once upon a time I had hopes to get my Project-GC puzzle badge up to diamond and have been chipping away steadily, another 6 for the haul today. Once again some good finds and big thanks to all COs for their hides.

As luck would have it NZTravellers, B4Dawn and I realised that all our other work and social commitments aligned to give us some free time this week so what better way to put this to use then some afternoon / evening / night caching the WHOLE week!!! This is day 3 so by now the early work starts so that we could finish early and have more afternoon caching time was kicking in but we were not going to let that stop us. Unfortunately both of the NZTs had to pull out of the adventures so it meant only B4Dawn and I were on the caching hunt tonight.
Wandered along and spotted what I instantly knew would be the cache....yay what great camo here!
Thanks for the cache and a favorite point.
