Night caching without a torch what could go wrong. Did find a discarded lighter though.
Thanks for the cache. Interesting spot. Lived in Adelaide for 64 years and never been to the Light Memorial. Cache in very good condition.
Very sneaky hide but my curious 5 your old found it not afraid to stick his fingers in
Saw thot it had been replaced and quickly dashed out from the YHA for a quick find
Found it! Spending a few hours in the city before the Adelaide United game, collecting AdLab stages and any other caches along the way. This was the second physical find of the day! I must have looked a little odd here to anyone passing by who happened to be looking my way. But the cache was found with no issues. TFTC!
Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a different kind of a day. The youngest Husky went off for a very long walk, meandering in and around the CBD area, targeting many caches and a lot of adventure lab checkpoints. Over 40,000 steps were walked in total, which worked out to be a smidge over 30kms. Meanwhile, the two elder Huskies opted for a more relaxing day to rest and recover, hanging close to base with a handful of finds in between some shopping and a cafe lunch. An incredibly productive and most importantly, fun caching day, which if including AL's in the total, made for our biggest day of finds ever. We are all thoroughly loving Adelaide. This one wasn't on my initial plan for the day but an AL brought me here anyway so decided to make the most of the opportunity. Something soon stood out. Needed a natural tool to extract. Thanks for the cache
Needed a torch to find it. Took a bit of coaching to get out first person , the sign the new log.
While I was sitting down on the job, doing the nearby ad lab, StreetWalkerNZ got stuck in and found the cache. TFTC.Had to edit to fix date, logging on a laptop which thinks it's still in NZ.
#24256. Good to find a physical cache in an area where there are lots of ad lab stages. Cache took a bit of winkling out. Nice hide. TFTC.
Thank you Freddo for maintained the cache. I can log in before flying back at home in Naarm/Melbourne. Lovely sun ..._.._.\ \./ /....\ \../ /_._...\ \/ | | |..|___.|_.|_.|..(___(_) .|...|. TFTC .|..|__172__|. by GSalomon7
thabk you and it was really fun for good quick find of the day, page is fairly full. might need to replace soon
A quiet lunchtime in the park looking at the mini art on display. A Tottenham handy to have cache in hand. Tftc
I had four hours to kill waiting for my car to be serviced, so I spent the time wisely geocaching. One of those "Where on earth could you hide it?" caches. "oh..., it's gotta be there".Thanks for the cache, Freddo - simplicity is its own reward
We wandered around it for a while with me going it wouldnt be in the obvious place umm it was.
Foggy Saturday Adelaide Had to find an appropriate length extraction tool, because my fat fingers wouldn't do the jobTFTC
Cache SA Arrived late due to flight delays with Jetstar first cache for the quick world wind trip of about 30 hours then on to the ACT to finish all state abd territories in AUS in just over 5 months.
Out with the team for a good time in the city and surrounds. Plenty of shoe leather and lots of fun.TFTC
A fun few days with friends. Lots of walking in the cool fresh air with little time to spare - fun! TFTC Freddo!
A cool and damp, but fun, weekend of caching around Adelaide. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location. Container and log in good condition. Thanks, Freddo!
Great spot for a cache! Hardly any muggles around on a chilly day and I was able to use a nearby 'tool' unobtrusively to extract the container. TFTC!
Found while strolling back to the hotel with gastank2 at the end of our Adelaide weekend vacation. No trouble making the find and signing the log here. Thanks for the cache!
Is this a good catch? I think it is. Very much enjoyed the hunt for this one. Thanks for the catch it is definitely one I'll remember.
Finally found a physical cache in Adelaide after coming every week for work for the last month. Been struggling to find the time and when I do we have like 5 mins for an urban cache.TFTC!
Found it! It is just sitting on the ground in plain view. I assume someone has moved it
Adelaide day number 2...Not the instant but relatively quick find. Reading previous logs helps! Thanks Lee...Signed off brand new logbook by the way. Thanks!
I'm so used to seeing the cache title as a hint, and expected it to be on a light. I was the only one at the inflatable church event who had not visited this one, and just as the CO had popped it out to check on it, it was back in before I had the chance to sign. So out it came for a second time long enough for me to sign and pop it back in place.
Passing by here to admire the inflatable church, grab some Ad Lab stages, get the detail for this CO's Survey this EC and enjoy that sunshine. Took a knee and found a cache, used a nature-provided TOTT to extract the cache here. All good and replaced as found.Phew, what a scorcher as they say. The heat has been steadily building through the week and today was the first day that it hit 40 degrees for me whilst out caching, yay, another first. I had a late morning meeting I needed to be ready for but managed to find time for a quick 4A out to Semaphore area for a look-see before the catch-up. After that I headed into 'the city' for a few more, but the heat was too much so grand plans were amended downwards and modest finds ensued. Thanks to all COs for their hides etc, much appreciated.
Last day in Adelaide for the MEGA weekend, Kolour and I headed out early to collect more city caches. Such a great variety of caches around town, we were spoilt for choice.Cache was quickly found, log signed, all replaced as found. Thanks Freddo for the cache.
Im visiting Adelaide for the first time, here for the Mega which is also my first, with Willis007. Today is our last day so we have spent the morning finding a few more chosen caches in the city, walking around on this quiet Sunday. We found the cache quickly but couldnt easily get it out so used a found TOTT and then another TOTT that I had in my kit to retrieve it from the container. Log signed and replaced as found. Tftc
The security guard for the bliw ip Church looked bored so I had time to.make a quick find thanks to the hint. Thanks For The Cache
Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other week and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis, Kingscote and Im now in Adelaide for a week which has sadly coming to an end as I have to say goodbye to SA and head back to Victoria.Well the Mega was brilliant and very well organised and I had a ball and it is always great to catch up with friends at these events.Im flying solo from now as my navigating buddy had to leave early this morning to get home.So another trip into the city to have a look around and just not a dash and grab.If it is it is and it was.I was in the park for the Light memorial and noticed this one.It was all quiet at the church so I was able to look for this one.I can see why Adelaide is called the City of Churches as they are even using inflatable churches now to attract the church goers. Thanks Captain Freddo TFTC.
With the inflatable church here, I was uncomfortable searching. The "dressing" rooms where very close by.

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences.NiceThanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
No find today. Will try again first thing tomorrow as I am staying nearby. Hope to locate it before I leave tomorrow evening!
Took a bit, and then we saw the light! Our plan hatched months ago when we learned that the Ballarat Geotour would be ending in early March. From Sydney it was a no brainer to do both. A host of characters conspired to make plans. Including drobbonz kimmy533 Kiwisteve2 and tessa-bella. The trip morphed multiple times but Adelaide was the goal for Leap Day.I spent the last one in Las Vegas.Sydney, Ballarat, Great Ocean Road, Adelaide, Flinders Ranges, Mildura and back to Sydney. TFTC
Found while staying in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward event. Freddo, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Found at 2:20pm with allrounder. After getting off the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) ship, we headed into town for a look. Deciding to hire a scooter to zip around and look for a few caches. After finding a few we stopped for a lunch/snack at Lounders Cafe, we made our way back across the bridge to the bus pick up. Stopping for one last check for a nearby cache, this was close by. Sorry to say it took a little longer than it should have after being distracted by something else, it was like a light bulb went on and alls well that ends well TFTC
Found @ 2:20pm with hccatcher11415, our sixth & final find for the day after arriving in Port Adelaide on the Queen Elizabeth.Momentarily distracted by another object we soon saw the light. Another great sculpture although it needs some repair. Thanks again Freddo, have one more favourite
thanks! I needed a stick to get it but I guess you could say that you need a bit of light
Found on the last day of this year, exactly 187 years after Light decided Adelaide should be hereTFTC Freddo
