While staying at Adare we ventured out to find as many caches as we could in the area. Lovely scenery and we enjoyed finding this cache. Thanks to The Tin Lids for placing this cache.
With the forecast for nice weather today it was time for a visit to the Victor Harbour area to clear away a few of the caches that have populated the area since I used to frequent the town.
I was surprised to see just how many new ones there is
With Astro we set about finding some of these little gems and this was one of them [^]
Cheers & TFTC

I loved this cache!! Really sneaky hiding spot! A rock placed down low caught my attention. It was really annoying, the compus was a bit jumpy and not accurate. Awesome hide, number 2 on a geocaching trip. TFTC
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM VICTOR HAROR!
Last time we were here it was almost 3 years ago and very different, not totally happy circumstances. This time, rather than to recover we have come to celebrate New Year's.....and for me--grab a few caches. This cache was one of them.

[Teal]As we head from town to town as part of our "Purposeful Meander around Oz" the Rats and the Mini Rats found this cache. Dad did most of the hard work here and the detail of our find can be found in the Rats log. Sorry for the duplicate log but it takes nothing away from the find.
Thanks for showing us this spot on our trip.

Nada, nothing. The has been some work done in the area, the cache may have been cleaned up.
Found what seemed like the hide from past descriptions but no cache. There has been a lot of recent maintenance so might be worth checking.
Quick find on a hot day.

Out for a walk this afternoon from the caravan park and stopped off here first. Managed to cross the road without incident then located the cache in its neat little hide. Had to wait for traffic before I could retrieve and replace.
Thanks for the cache The Tin Lids.
Thanks for the cache The Tin Lids.
This is a funny little park with so many cars zooming past we had to be quick to grab the cache so people couldn't see what we were up to.
Thanks The Tin Lids, sneaky little hide, nice work.
Signed the log and replaced safe and sound as found.

Certainly needed the refuge island to cross this busy road to get to this one. Found a pen in one and a cache in the other!! Thanks.
Our fist full day in Victor Harbor, BettyBoo3747 and I jumped the Cockle Train to Goolwa, rode around there a bit, had some lunch, then rode back to Victor Harbor. Took us a bit longer than we thought so we didn't get as many caches as we planned. Beautiful weather for a ride.
The first cache for the day. We walked out of the Caravan park towards the bike shop, and this cache just happened to be on the way.
Must admit that both of us looked a distance from GZ as our GPSrs were leading us a merry dance.
Spotted the hide from across the park.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 6638. Awoke to a beautiful almost Spring day so Plan A was ready to be put into place. This entailed a walk from the Caravan Park to the Bike Shop to collect the treadlies, collect a few caches , jump on the Cockle Train to Goolwa, grab some caches, admire the scenery, have lunch, ride back to Victor Harbour with a few more cache finds along the way. A big day and got the bikes back to the shop with 10 minutes to spare.
Robmc and I found this one on the short walk to the bike shop. Our GPSs wanted us to search elsewhere. Eventually we turned around and both said "that looks like a likely spot" and so it was. Phew. Mind you we still have no idea the relevance of the cache name in relation to the container.
Thanks The Tin Lids

Found while out walking after arriving at Victor for the long weekend. thought we had our stamp or pen with us but left the van without, so afraid did not sign the log but did take a photo.TFTF
Never seen a plate container before, neat cache container! A quick ride-by after having lunch in Victor Harbour. Thought we'd found GZ but needed a second look to see the cache. TFTC The Tin Lids.
Out for the day caching with Pprass finding some of the caches around Victor Harbor and Goolwa.

Found at 5:30 PM GAFF1. After a wonderful day in Tanunda visiting our favourite winery Rockford and then Jenke and Grant Burge, we headed down to Victor Harbour for a few days touring and caching. Just outside the caravan park that we were staying at we stopped to do this cache as it looked quite straight forward, but of course given a 50/50 chance we pick the wrong one [B)]
Thanks The Tin Lids.
Feedback: We noticed that there is Velcro on the container for it to stick to something, but it was just lying on the brick. Also the log book is totally full.

Found while in Victor Harbor with my mum, sister, cousin and his wife (all muggles to different extents - and they weren't very happy that I kept wanting to go caching). We were driving past this one so I insisted that we stop and I look for it. A little bit of searching later and I had found it. I then had to go back to the car where I had left my pen by accident. I then signed the log and replaced it. A nice park.

On our walk through Victor Harbor we found some caches.
This was a nice one close to the camp ground which wanted to charge us 61$ per night ... no way!

I was lucky enough to get a phone call to see if I wanted to head out for the day with a wonderful group of people to locus cache some smileys.....so what could I say to that offer but YES!! [^]
I picked up Honeysucker who gracefully allowed himself to be a passenger in Harry and deal with my driving and off we went to meet Mogni of the fantastic giggle, Aussie M&M of the kind heart, great hugs and tall stature and Brisal5 of the split pants.
By the time Honeysucker and I left the others to head home, I had 38 smileys and 4 DNFs but the laughter and fun the group shared all day far outweighed those few missed smileys!
Somedays it is hard to find a cache when you have so many other eager cachers out with you and they all have to fight to bend their knees first
Interesting container.

Mogni was back in town for the weekend so a GOTHS escapade to Victor was Planned. I was lucky enough to score a seat in the Gothmobile with both Aussie M & Ms and mogni. We were soon to be joined by Honeysucker and Locus Cache in Harry.
I checked one obsious spot...big large moth, whilst mogni checked the other...large spider and cache. Thanks The Tin Lids.
