Lengthy search but thankfully a find. Woohoo!

On a drizzly morning there weren’t too many people about out here, a couple of fishers further along the cut but they didn’t pay any attention to me as I parked and then walked away from them.
Once I got to GZ I had a fairly good idea of what I’d be looking for and started a methodical hunt, got through my first pass of the area and found… nothing.
Back to the start and again checked everything to have nothing to show, walked away and checked some places that looked good but again nothing in hand.
Headed back to the original strategy and checked deeper and finally got my hand on the container.
Contents are all in impeccable condition for 583 days unloved and I replaced it back as found.

After a bit of a stressful morning the decision was made to take some personal leave and recharge the best way I know how, getting out into nature and finding some geocaches.
Headed south to Mandurah in the hopes of a FTF and with no luck there scrapped plans to head northwards and cache in the area in case the cache was attended by the CO.
Looking at the map I decided since I had time and nowhere to be that I’d try for a few puzzles that haven’t been found for quite a while. I please to say that I was able to locate all the puzzles I searched for with the time unloved combining for a total of 3025 days.
A relaxing and refreshing day out by myself ending up with 5 finds and 3 DNF’s.

I am currently visiting WA from Adelaide for a few weeks, travelling mostly around the southwest, exploring, visiting friends and family and finding a few caches along the way.

I stayed in Mandurah last night and wandered around the area today, finding a few caches of interest and making my way north.

Another in a long list of puzzles solved before leaving home in preparation for the trip. Eventually found after a quite methodical search.

Thanks Mistraluna for the puzzle and the cache.

Cache repaired and replaced as per original placement.

06-Jul-19
My wife had an appointment down this way today so after dropping her off I found a cache near the water to search for.

When I got to ground zero I started searching. Systematically going through the possibilities I soon enough spotter the hide.

Unfortunately the log is soaked through, but my trusty TankPen from the original WAGB saw me get my name scratched in it carefully.

Everything replaced as found and I watched the dolphins before going back to get my wife.

Thanks for the cache Mistraluna

Cheers

The log is soaked through I am afraid as the cap to the cache is broken.

Cheers

Spending the day down the estuary and we decided to perform our signing duties on this puzzle we had solved, a nice quick find of this clever camo TFTC

26-Jan-19
Have had this solved for a while and pleased to be able to put our name on the log.
TFTC Mistraluna this is find # 5785 for us.

21-Jan-19
Thanks Mistraluna for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.

Very late log date back to original find date

21-Jan-19
Out for a day of caching in the general Mandurah vicinity. Had a really average day, with a large number of DNFs and a small number of finds. It was nearly comical the inability of the caches to show themselves.

I was up early to meet a cacher around the Thornlie area and managed to grab two caches around there before I headed down.

Thanks to the local COs for their hides.

Favourite point for a nice hide at the final.

Small crack in the lid

Had fun with this puzzle a while back. Was in the area so no better time to tackle this one. From the logs I knew it wouldn’t be easy so made up my mind I wasn’t leaving without a find.. patience was my friend here today and was delighted to finally spot the cheeky hide. It’s a ripper. Have a fav.
Thanks for yet another challenging puzzle and cache Mistraluna

I tried to find this cache today, but my luck was not good, or maybe it was my eyesight, or maybe it was not there. Will have to return at a later time effect a find.

Looked everywhere, the GPS was indicating a likely spot. but I could not find it

This was my 4 DNF out of 4 DNFs and a total of 6 Finds on this outing.

22-Oct-17
Headed out to find some caches. Took a while and a call to the CO to confirm I was looking in the right spot. Just before giving up I found the little devil. Nice hide. tftc sl tnln

I'm giving away my age a bit, but I knew most of the tunes for this one, but had to enlist the assistance of my wife and a friend for the others. Geoson was no use at all as they were all too far before his time.

Unfortunately, no luck for me finding the cache today, but thanks anyway for the puzzle.

24-Jul-16
Watched the youtube videos and worked out the 4 Time Warp puzzles. The tunes ranged from dead easy to no idea, so I had to guess and google to get it right. Lol. Went out this afternoon while I was in Mandurah and had a look for them and got 3 done before dark. I looked for this one for ages before I phoned a friend for help and messaged the CO as well. The friend couldn't remember where it was but gave me enough of a clue so I found it just before the CO called me and we had a good chat. Nice devilish hide. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks Evelyn for the clever hide and puzzle series.

we started caching with our family under the name clan-wallace but now it is time to have our own identity, hence embarking on a marathon re logging exercise.

30-Jun-16
Solved the 4 Television Time Warp Puzzles at the weekend, that was good fun. a couple of tricky ones that were obviously more popular in Oz in the 60s than they were in the UK but we got them all in the end. Then we took advantage of this beautiful sunny day to go and hunt them down. Found the GZ quite quickly & thankfully the prize was soon to follow. Thank you for an imaginitive puzzle. Have a fav from me.

In preparation for our WA Goes Big adventure, we tackled this series of puzzles as a family. We had a lot of fun solving these that brought back fantastic memories and make me feel very old to boot.
Once at GZ we were stumped. After searching for a good 10 minutes the clouds opened up and bucketed down. We retreated to the car and within minutes it had cleared up.
We renewed our search and soon EB99 had the cache in hand from where I had already been and discounted.
Thanks Mistraluna for the fun and challenging puzzle and tough find.

This seemed very straight forward to do. I had all the answers quickly but the checksum didn't add up. Odd. I went through it a couple of times but still didn't work. Got Monesim on the phone and found that I did have one wrong. It was a real Duh moment.

Got to GZ and all seemed fine until I actually had to find a cache. Looked around a lot before nearly giving up. That I don't like to do. Tried again and again and suddenly there it was. Great hide.

Thanks for the puzzle and hunt.

Out with The Better Half finding some puzzle caches that the cache owner convinced us to solve the other night.

Found the cache without too much problems once at GZ.

Thanks Mistraluna for the cache.

Headed to Mandurah, to pick up some new caches and a few that we missed on our last visit.
This was our second attempt at this cache, and we were hoping to find it before leaving the area.
We spent a good 10 minutes searching, and were very happy to finally add our name to the log.
A very good hide, well worth a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for the hunt today, Mistraluna.

After spending a lot of time working out the puzzle, we were disappointed not to have found this one. Too clever a hide for us today.
Thanks anyway, Mistraluna, for the trip down memory lane.

Dragged muggle partner up this way to be my driver and helper while I add some more smileys to my total Big Grin

Well this one I wasn't impressed with as I tripped on some weeds then landed on my butt all in a matter of seconds SadTwisted

Otherwise everything was great at this sneaky and very clever hide Twisted

Find 5/20 Big Grin and 3 dnf Sad

TFTC

I'm giving you a favourite point for the series as it was a real brain tester (I was born late 60's so some were beyond me and haven't seen repeats) and stroll down memory lane for others but they were very enjoyable to solve (unlike many of your other puzzles Razz)

And the point is being given on this one as when one travels from south one does them in the reverse order Big Grin

Second attempts - what fool I am TwistedTwisted I should have know better - simple one at Adelaide which it is belong to my cache... Red FaceRed Face... getting old [?] [?] Signed the log at 4:35pm with the CO... Thanks Mistraluna.

oops for some reason didn't log this series when I found them- in august. Wanted to say how much I enjoyed this whole series ( apart from number 4 which i couldn't find and which has since gone missing)
i spent a long time searching for these clues - it didn't help that I got waylaid by watching videos ... David Cassidy still looks cute even with his perfect hair in the Partridge Family, Kimba the White Lion is still enjoyable even though and early version of the Lion King and did I really cry when Puffinstuff was no longer shown on Tv.....(sorry guys these are not clues at all I was just enjoying my reminiscing.... maybe they are like the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland and they are unclues!!)
even when I finally sorted out the coordinates you provide a tricky camo hide as well. Not sure if I have enough favourites for all this series but this one certainly gets one. Thanks mistralluna for taking me back to the 70's!!

19-May-13
Promised that I would get to the Time Warp Series so now I can say happily that I have.
I spent way too much time on these theme songs and did get help with two or three but really must say I enjoyed them all. A fav from me.

TFTC Mistraluna.

Really enjoyed solving these puzzles a while ago and today was my chance to complete them.
Great series Mistraluna a fave from me.

18-May-13
Found with WA K Team on Saturday afternoon when we decided to collect the TV puzzles. TFTC

18-May-13
When I first saw these puzzles I though that I wouldn't have any hope of doing these without help.
I must say I surprised myself at how many suppressed (good Smile) memories rose to the surface to help solve the puzzles, though I do admit to a bit of help from modern technology. I managed to get all but one answer in each puzzle but luckily it was a higher number so was able to deduce the answer.

Took geoparents AUS Vrede out with us for the afternoon to grab these caches and a few others. Arrived at GZ and saw that we had a few options. Luckily Mr K found the early option and we soon had the cache in hand and logged signed - nice hide Wink

Thanks for the puzzles and the caches Mistraluna [^] - really enjoyed doing this series

Found with WA K Team on a a Saturday afternoon. Set out to collect the 4 TV puzzles. The estary was like a mill pond - beautiful even not many mozzies. TFTC & series.

08-Apr-13
Spent the midnight hours last night nutting out all these TV themes, enjoying the multitude walks down memory lane. Most of them were familiar, but some had to have a bit of googling to help out.
So today was happy to find (most!) of them. Almost gave up on this one but eventually unearthed the blighter. Another clever camo!
Thanks for the memories and the cache Mistraluna.

05-Mar-13
After the miserable failure on our first attempt we mulled over this one. Then geomum had a vision of the cache and where exactly it would be, so off we went for a quick find. (Spooky, but mum says" it's logical my dear Watson", what ever that means). TFTC MIstraluna. Very sneaky and well done. Smile

04-Mar-13
Had enjoyed working on this puzzle shortly after it was published. Should I admit that I knew all the themes without resorting to have to Google them? Headed to Mandurah with iluvtrekking and this was the first find for the day. Our co-ords were spot on and came up with the camo very quickly - lucky no muggles in the area. Thanks Mistraluna.

04-Mar-13
Unlike our caching partners, we didn't know all of the themes required without a bit of prompting. Thanks for another interesting puzzle cache Mistraluna.

02-Mar-13
Very sneeky spot took awhile to find TFTC Smile

02-Mar-13
After looking in the wrong spot we eventually made it to the right one haha very sneaky Smile cheers to my stepdad (oohyeh) for solving the puzzle Smile

02-Mar-13
Out down mandurah way to pick up a few caches with maikerubrown, kristybell and ben was 1992. geohubby is overseas working so i have to do all the caching so i told him he can start working out all the puzzle caches and i will go and find them. This was the first puzzle he did and his co-ordinates were correct and after a few minutes of searching i located the cache. Good camo job TFTC Mistraluna

24-Feb-13
After working out the puzzle and getting the tick of approval from the geochecker we were confident of an easy find (well a long search for a tricky Mistraluna cache with an aha moment and lots of smiles), but alas no smiles today. We will have to leave it for another day SadWink. TFTH.

[^] *FTF* at 11am [^]

When I saw this one published last night, I was really needing an early night so I didn't really try to hard to come up with the magic numbers Smile After dropping Master 4 at Kindy this morning I had a quick look at the cache page and to my surprise there were no logs as yet [?] A bit more research and conversation to Jase the checker agreed and I found myself heading south...

Ahh, the things I do to get out of doing housework Razz Arriving at GZ my heart sank, not only for the muggle factor but what I saw in front of me Surprised With Master 1 watching on in the pram, I began the hunt ever so carefully as there were lots of eyes not too far away (but luckily they were busy doing other things!)... After a couple of minutes I struck gold and was very surprised that I was also FTF Big Grin

TFTC and for the puzzle Mistraluna... Love the extra mile you go for your caches, it makes it just that bit more fun CoolBig GrinCool Cache was replaced as found ready for the next finder.
