Have the day off work today and decided to head South of Adelaide to look for a few caches around the Monarto and Murray Bridge area.Quickly found and log stampedTFTC
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Thanks Hurtle
Out and about now slowly making my way to Melbourne. Got a few targets I am after and should get them in the next day or two
#19224 - 8:54:00 AM; Day three of "The Great Leap Forward" road trip. After spending the night at Tailem Bend, feathertop and I set off for Adelaide, collecting most of Bindi' GeoMobiles and a few others in and around Monarto as we passed, including this one. It was then on through the city and north to Two Wells, Virginia then across to Gawler to collect some LGAs enroute. It was then then back to Port Adelaide and on to our accommodation to freshen up for an event. All up 55 finds and 2 DNFs for the day. All caches were found in good condition and returned as found once the log was signed. TFTC Hurtle
Today I cached with Luckyl10n. In hot weather we tackled around 40 caches in this area.Mostly easy finds. 2 dnfs. The caches were nicely themed and in great condition. Clues and coords were spot on..Hor and dry. 2 reptiles seen, fat lizards luckily..All caches logged as FT and LLMany thanks for this cache. Love old ruins..
On the Murray Bridge area today so collected a few random caches along the route of my travels. All caches found quickly and in good condition - including this one. TFTC.
This was number 6 of many for naughtybunny and I on this amazing day around Kinchina. This cache was a quick and easy drive-by along here. Took marble, left Lego piece. Cheers.
Chookster and I spent a beautiful day walking & caching around the Northern trails at Kinchina CP today. We've previously walked this section of the Lavender Trail, and it was nice to revisit the area. We had pretty good weather and no DNF's for the day, which is always great!
We took a short drive to grab this one becuse the green dot left on the map would have annoyed me too much!

Love old buildings, this view would be amazing for capturing some astrophotography and light painting. Hevwalker and I continued my goal towards my 150 per day goal after saying goodbye to froghoppin and Mattycat. Really enjoyed the day- lots of fun, laughter, exercise and stories to tell later to all our caching friends.
YAY team effort...we did it. Thankyou!!!! TFTC Hurtle

Nice ruin, passing this cache while doing a nearby series so we had to stop for it. Tftc
Found. Geohubby is very good at finding these caches with navigational guidance from me. This heritage is truly lost. Tftc
Really enjoy this series - keep them coming.
Today I was out with Team Crackers in the Murray Bridge area. We concentrated on CP's series and also finding a number of Hevwalker's, however we tried not to miss others that were close by, and then we stumbled upon this one.
We came up with some creative theories regarding the history of this property.....
Thanks for the cache Hurtle

We had an early morning meet up with Goodlook planning on enjoying a day's caching together.
Being a nice overcast day with a slight breeze we went for a walk in the Monarto forest and after we had finished those it was decided that we check out Bindi's GeoMobiles and we are so glad that we did
Of course we weren't going to go passed any others that popped up along the way and this was one of them. We are slowly making our way through the Lost Heritage series and always what we are going to find when we get there. There wasn't a lot left but we did manage to locate the cache and add our names to the log.
Thanks Hurtle for the cache.

Wow spoilt for choice of caches here! Ducked out to pick up some close to our campsite. Beautiful sunny day. So much warmer than in the SE where we have been for the last few months.

Today, I headed out for a solo geocaching day around Murray Bridge, with my main aim to complete the *Oz Mega 2014 Signal* power trail. It wasn't planning to be the nicest day with its weather, with scattered showers forecast. So spending the day mostly in the car, didn't feel too bad. I managed to complete the trail in just under four hours, and then headed to Murray Bridge via the *MBCT* series to find a few geocaches on the south side of town, and then heading to its centre. With the last remaining daylight, I then completed the first section of *Bindi's GeoMobiles* series, after having completed the other section with gridge98 some months ago. It turned out to be a pretty good day; perfect to what I ended up doing, with minimal rain in the end, and a cold day to help my fitness getting in/out of the car. The full rain seemed to have fallen when I was driving back to Adelaide in the evening too.
This was an interesting historical building ruins, and so unfortunate it has been graffitied. Are we any closer in learning the history of this location? The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Hurtle for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

First full day in Murry Bridge Had some businness early morning and the rest of the day free. So geocaching I went. This one was a quick find on a warm day. TFTC.
A bit cooler today for another round of Murray Bridge caching Celebrated my 6,000 logged geocaches with a manicure and then hit up the local trails. Lots of interesting things to see around this region

Day 178 (Monday 24th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Tailem bend today. A total of 45 for the day and 3415 for the trip. TFTC.
So many old ruins to be looked at. Wondering how many days have passed since the last person walked out the door. Lovely little spot. Thank you! Tftc!
And now for something completely different - still a cache but a very different theme.
Thanks for the cache Huurtle.
Thanks for the cache Huurtle.
Was in the neighbourhood for the Bindi's GeoMobile series, thought I'd find your cache as well.
Thanks Hurtle for putting it there.

The second day of caching in South Oz in the company of 6hinemoa2. A great day with spot on co ords led us to 100% finds for the day. Even a FTF. Sorry for the generic log but when you find so many it is hard to remember each one. Many thanks to the CO's for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Out with sorceysal today to collect a few smiling faces around SA. Passing by this one and noticed the old building with interesting graffiti. Thought that I had already found this some time ago but obviously I had not.

Hi there Hurtle.
We found your cache **"Lost Heritage #7 - Mobilong"** today.
We headed out from Murray Bridge to attempt the "Bindi's GeoMobile" series of caches - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.
We found 42 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

There are so many caches to be found, so another selection was made and it was off caching again this morning with ilook4geo. All found logs had two more names added to the total and each cache was put back as it had been found, ready for the next cacher to find.
Decided to finish off the caches along this stretch of road today and had a good run with them.
Our thanks go to Huutle for this cache placement, which was found on our 5th caching anniversary.

Today was another successful caching day and one that was very much enjoyed. It was in the company of goingplaces2 that so many caches were located, retrieved, with all logs being signed. Thanks to each CO.
We were looking for caches along the Bindi's Geomobiles series when this cache appeared. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The contents were in good condition but the container was suffering for plastic cancer and the lid was badly broken. Luckily we had a spare in the car. With the container replaced, all is back in top condition again. Thanks Hurtle for the cache.
Too hard to repair/replace? lmfao
Oh that's right, lazy number collectors only chase smileys rather than kudos for helping CO's with maintenance that actually GIVES the said number collectors their numbers!!!
Oh and they fill their logs with artificial BS to pad it out so as to cheat their way to qualifying for a challenge! lol

Today I was going from Ballarat to Adelaide, with 2 events being hosted I was restricted to the time I spent in Ballarat for the morning so I went around picking up multis and puzzles with some very enjoyable locations visited. I collected a few along the way to the 2nd event of the day in coonalpyn and then finished off with half a new series in Murray Bridge. A total of just over 50 finds for the day and 500km driving.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Had come down here to complete the newly published series and as I was driving straight past this one I had to stop and add it to my list. [^]
I love all these old ruins, there are so many of them dotted everywhere. Would always like to know the history, but in most cases we will never know.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.
