It was lovely weather today. With ALL7 lend me around for some caches.Fanstaic I enjoyed walking around for some caches at Gossan Hill Park and Bruce and Crace before the event in the afternoon.Sign the log with good dry. TFTM
TFTC QLD Team of 9 unable locate. Contacted the CO for a maintenance check and advised to log the cache . Cache to be disabled until they can check and correct.
Out and about with the Qld team while down in Canberra to attend the MEGA. CO gave us permission to log 9 for Qld.Beautiful weather down here. TFTC
Another day spent Pre-Mega geocaching. Today we are chasing mostly Multi caches for some Challenges, and some tree climbs around Giralang. Log sheets as "9 for QLD" to save space and time. Thank you for permission to log.Log signed and cache replaced as found on 27 March 2024. TFTC, STORMCATCHERS.

Our big Queensland group enjoyed gathering all the info for the final GZ and needed to message the CO for confirmation. Thanks, STORMCATCHERS, for bringing us to this lovely location and for allowing our group to log this cache as a find. It is much appreciated ??
Today I planned to do the UGC series and anything else that was close by as we passed.I had Esmiley (driver) and Bellahappychappy with me (finders) and it was a very interesting and fun day. We got in a lot of caches and got all in the series completed. While the competition of who qualifies and who did not between esmiley and bella rang out in the travels, it did make me laugh. It was nice to see that all the caches in the series were in place and in good condition and most with fresh logs. The caches we added to the list were from our solved lists. It was interesting to see how people solve caches. I had a fun day and had some great laughs, thanks for the hide.We saw a nice group of challenge caches as we drove around and could not resist. I should qualify here.

We were out in the general area and had decided to look for a multi.
This one looked interesting, with lots of waypoints, but all in close proximity.
A nice walk to be had.
It was a leisurely stroll which suited us perfectly.
Collecting numbers along the way, we found ourselves at GZ, where a super hint was so useful.
So many times we fail with rock hides, but this hint enabled us to find the hide quickly.
A really good multi.
A FP added.
Thanks StormCatchers.
Great to visit another of your good multis.

Out and about exploring my new neighbourhood, and caching of course; it was a gentle stroll around the area collecting the needed numbers, then some quick maths and a walk to GZ, where the cache was quickly located, much to my relief that I had got the numbers right! This multi ended up much less daunting than it appeared from the number of waypoints. Thanks for the cache STORMCATCHERS
Normally long multi's like this I don't like because I will always get something wrong, luckily it was pretty easy and some errors were easy to fix.
Coordinates for GZ still didn't look 100% promising but rocked up (haha) and started searching, thought I had found the cache but nope, expanded like 50m in the other direction before going back to the first spot and finding I just didn't look hard enough.
Great area here, like fantastic.
TFTC STORMCATCHERS!

Great one to do with the kids in the afternoon light. Playground slowed us down as an acceptable distraction though TFTC.
Nice one. I was planning a day around Yass for a pile of caches, but I was too late getting away,so I opted for a nice day on the north side. I've been here before for an event, and today is a much nicer day, and I had a nice time hunting down all the waypoints, chatting to muggles, finding the answers, and enjoying the stroll. I was worried that the cache might have been submerged recently, and it had been, but the log, while a bit damp, was fine. Thanks, StormCatchers. Have a favorite point.
My coordinates put me on someone's house, but after reading the logs I adjusted them and found the cache.
Should have attempted this one during the early morning event last Sunday but the steady rainfall dissuaded me at the time. A beautiful day and an almost deserted park encouraged me to make the effort today. Using the hint, it was a quick find and plenty of empty spaces in which to sign. TFTC and another enjoyable multi STORMCATCHERS
Back in the area today so finished this one off after collecting all the information last weekend at the event. Tftc
Even leaving at stupid O’clock can’t stop me from Geocaching or better yet 4 Geo-events. Having to leave at 5am to arrive on time for the first event was difficult but worth it. This is because I received the ‘Lucky Door Prize’, which happens to be a new trackable for my collection. Before, during and after each event, I quickly ducked away to find a couple nearby caches. This was sometimes with people and other times without. It was all great fun and nice to see everyone again for the fun plus talking all things Geo. During the second event someone discovered that we were at GZ of another cache. IT'S STILL THERE! A bonus find for everyone. The 3rd event today was my 50th event, I have attended. A unique milestone which everyone congratulated me for. With the large gap between the third and fourth events, I checked into my motel, found a couple labs and mystery caches. I was at the last event for only a few minutes as I was meeting up with other friends (who don’t do Geocaching… yet) over the other side of the city. Afterwards, it was time to head back to the motel for sleep and getting ready for heading home tomorrow. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the caching community. TFTC’s and TFTE’s
P.S. I am hosting two CITO’s before the end of the year. The first being: TAR and CITO #4 (GC9J99Z) on 29 November 2021. The second being: Boxing Day CITO #2 (GC9J9AX) on 26 December 2021. Hope to see you there!

We started with a 'Breakfast Picnic Community Caching Event', then found some local caches of which this was one of them. Interesting walk around this park which is a lot bigger than first thought. Quick and easy find at GZ. TFTC STORMCATCHERS.
Found today in between drizzles as part of finding aw many cache types as I can. TFTC.
Today is the day of events. Community Breakfast to start, then a cito and a lunch event to finish it off for me. A few close by caches to grab as well.

Ducked off from the Community Event to complete this Multi. JohnoMawbs and I soon had the data and the cache. Thanks.

I found this multi-cache almost 7 years ago now! It was my 7th ever multi, found less than a month after my first!
With lockdown preventing me from leaving my immediate area outside of work, I’ve found myself doing things a bit differently. Today I decided to relive this multi in full! A 12 stage multi in a small area seemed perfect for my days worth of exercise.
I believe the information for value “I” is incorrect. Something may be missing here as the value is too low than expected. This was obvious in the calculations however, and with a small amendment the coordinates were spot on. So everything else looks good
The logbook was replaced in 2016 so didn’t find my name in it, but was still good fun! The cache is in good condition otherwise!
Thanks!

Collected most of the answers over a few trips to the playground before finishing it off today. Nice geokid friendly walk and find.

Walking with Sophiescout to solve two multis today - one each that the other had found back in January and oddly we were the last to find for both of them. I love this series for the number of WPs and the interesting locations. TFTC
Found with Sophiescout yesterday (31/12), forgot to log online. A lovely park to walk around. TFTC
A very hot day to be out caching, but the motivation to avenge a dnf for GLISS! drove us here. This time we had success!!! Yay! Thanks for the multi fun. Thanks for the cache.
I collected the answers for this one about 12 months ago but I was not confident with my calculations which put me in someone's frontyard. Today, thanks to a nudge from a previous finder, I had a more sensible location. A very warm walk with Nibletricecakes brought us to gz and the container was quickly found. TFTC.
A nice multi on the way home this afternoon.
Had a slight hiccup but soon had cache in hand. Thanks STORMCATCHERS.

I will have to come back another time when I have more time to do some serious bird and insect watching. One highlight was the Great Egret that wasn't quite sure of my intension and moved away slightly. Frogs and Dragonflies abound, and there were some flying ants as well.
One waypoint I still am not sure about, even after watching a video from the advertised website to verify what I was supposed to look for, lead me to a negative number when doing the calculations for GZ, but I did some healthy guessing and still found the cache without much difficulty.

Out and about after work and dinner with the family and looking at doing as many multis for my daily cache find as possible. Many I take a long time to work my way through doing a waypoint at a time until I have GZ.
This one didn't take long at all and I knew that if I needed help there is always someone close at hand to help out.
At GZ it was very quiet late at night so the cache was found quickly. And I was rather surprised at the size of the cache. Nice multi all round. Tftc STORMCATCHERS!!!!

9447 Located by baby&Mrs gopher in company with fizzgig&lyric and CastleKay. We had a look here on Sunday the 22nd Dec but with all the picnickers it was difficult to gain all the information required. Back again today to walk the dog and stroll the walkways. fizzgig came up with some likely numbers. baby wandered around looking for red rocks and walked within 4 metres of here. We all got to SL Tnx STORMCATCHERS. A FP from us.
Found with CastleKay and baby&Mrs gopher. Very hot and smokey out today but had to return and make this a smiley after out visit on the 22nd. After rechecking our answers and altering one number we soon had the cache in hand. Fun cache and a FP from us, TFTC STORMCATHERS.
Well, this has been a few years in the making. I'm not really one for Multis, but *shrug*.. I'll chip away at them slowly - and it seems that this and PITS #2 are ones that are quite good for that approach.
I tried this a few years ago, got some numbers, co-ords didn't work
Went through and verified a few things yesterday, came home and got some co-ords that looked appropriate.
After todays ride through the Goo.. I headed down here and poked around.. something matched the hint and the cache was retrieved.. yew!
TFTC SC. The PITS are good multis. Look forward to #3 and others that may be in the pipeline

With life being hectic and stressful, it was so good to come out here and go for a pleasant late night wander (for daily cache #298). I had a little trouble with the large decorative rocks at WP8 which left me uncertain about my answer for I but once all the other data was collected, I tried some variations and there could only be one possible/likely value. Thankfully the cache was quickly found at gz with the help of the hint to guide me. I enjoyed PITS #2 which I did a while back so it was nice to finally come and do this one too. Afterwards I went for a longer stroll around the suburbs just to clear the head and get some exercise. TFTM
Dino and I had started the multi a while back and got stuck at the end of it. The CO was nice to tell us where we had gone wrong and so we set out for another try. First we went too much by the satellite image which had us in the wrong spot but eventually being led by the gos made the find. A great multi in a nice location. Only the new construction is close these days. But hey we need bigger streets, cant be that we have 1/2 hours of slow flowing traffic twice a day [:(!]
Thank you STORMCATCHERS for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Thank you STORMCATCHERS for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Dino and I were keen on an evening walk to do some caches and we had not been at all to Grace. Multi looked good so we did the rounds before Dino had to be at the hairdresser and while I was waiting did the calculation. Got some coords in line with the walk and so we went back after the hair appointment but could not find anything at the exact spot, which is too exposed anyhow and probably wrong. Looked around a bit in all directions but couldn't come up with the goods. I couldn't see where I was wrong such that it was still sensible coords so we had to give up for today.
Pop past for a quick check on an extended walk. Cache condition is fair and in place.
A nice stroll around. Found GZ without issue using what I thought were the most obvious answers to the questions. A few muggles kids kicking the footy around paid no attention to what I was doing. Container a little wet, logs damp. TNLNSL TFTC
Although I drive past here regularly, it's not often I venture into Crace. This is one of those "hidden gems", a pleasant discovery that makes you glad you stopped by.
Answer 9 was a bit of a guess, could have been interpreted several ways, and I hoped that the solution was correct - but it was all good in the end.

Geohound and I decided that a century in the Boxing Day test cricket was enough for us to move from the TV to go and get a cache. Came to the northside of Canberra and enjoyed a nice walk around the park. With a good set of co-ords, the find was quick. TFTC Stormcatchers
Driving through the area with 15 minutes spare decided to stop and make a start on the WPs. Ended up that's all the time I needed and all questions answered so headed off and worked out the math last night. Did find one question I couldn't decide which answer I thought so had 2 possible gzs and both looked good! Returned today with Shadowstorm1 rechecked the question I was unsure about and dismissed one of the possibilities as overthinking and headed off and made the quick find. Found the questions were well written and although I had doubts at one the obvious logical worked out! A nice park which SS1 spent far to much time on the exercise equipment before I could drag him away! SS1 signed the log too but is only a basic member but if he updates to premium at some point might log later. Thanks for the cache, fp from me.
My Saturday morning caching took me to Ghungalin. First I attended to two multies I have driven past too many times. Both were good fund walks around interesting local parks with lots of features to see and use.
Thanks.

Good fun this one exploring the open air sporting facilities. Out with Goldenwattle and Trodectus.
There was some discussion as to what a ;segment' was and what are ;decorative rocks', but, collectively we had no trouble getting the right final coords.

I spent the afternoon in this part of town geocaching with Decrypter and Trodectus. This was our first cache. I had imagined this would involve more walking, but it turned out to be a much smaller area than I envisioned, which meant it also was covered quickly and we could go find more caches . Most of this multi gave us no troubles and the answers were clear. I was looking for "decorative" (such as carved) rocks though at WP8, and was surprised they were ordinary boulders. WP9 had us a little unsure what a "segment" was, but we guessed the correct answer. The other WPs were clear. An enjoyable multicache and I'm giving this a favourite. TFTC STORMCATCHERS.
I was out for an afternoon around Gungahlin with Goldenwattle and Decrypter.
This was our first stop. The rain was on its way but thankfully we only had a light sprinkle as we made our way around the waypoints. No trouble with these and we soon had co-ords and made the find. TFTC.

In search of a public loo one evening I wandered over to this park and decided to have a go at this multi too (once availing myself of the facilities). I miscounted one answer but with some application of common sense I determined an appropriate GZ. Happily I had my head torch with me! Cache was soon in hand. Now, where did I put that automobile of mine?
Found with epzccc131. Found some of the questions difficult due to ambiguity but found first attempt
Had a bit of trouble with the old hint, new hint makes gz much clearer, thanks.
Drove all the way to Crace from the south side to try this one and its nearby partner. After a wander round soon had all the numbers. The hard one was WP1 as there was an exercise class going on at the time, however the lady in charge of the class helped me with the answers. I think she thought I was an official with my clipboard of questions because she complained about the equipment needing maintenance. Quick find at the GZ. TFTC.
I've been working on the ACT mapping challenge and I only have a few suburbs to go. All south Yass ones.
I'd also been wanting to have a go at this multi to for a while too. Today was a good opportunity and the weather was great for a play in the park.
Bit jealous that I don't have a fancy park like this in my suburb. But it did not stop me from taking advantage of the facilities as I went along.
Very well set out multi! It can be tough getting all those clues correct and removing ambiguities from the questions. There was only one that had me thinking that there was more than one answer but the maths only worked for the correct one.
Cache found on first go, but yes I did resort to looking at the clue.
Along the way I had a look at the rocks around the pond. A few were limestone. One even had a small fossil in it. Some kind of small shell thing. (See photo.)
Very enjoyable cache. I'll be back for part two soon.
A fav point for me! Thanks T and A

Out with AngelG27 on another after work multi caching mission. This seemed like a good one to tackle on a relatively cool (low 30s) evening. All the information was easily obtained, the calculations made followed by a stroll to the final. AngelG27 spotted the hide. This was a good use of a multi to discover this park. TFTC.

#1734 Following a recent post about this cache & PITS II I thought I'd drop by after work to see how much fun this was. Coincidentally, I had lunch not far from here today at one of the local establishments.
It's been hot & sticky the last few days - hence the afternoon storms & today was no exception. Today I was following (chasing ?) a storm. I'll attach a pic.
It was sweaty work just walking around this multi, but it was also a great way to check out the park. It's needs mowing, but then, so does my front yard after all the recent storms. Generally, I had no problems collecting the required data. Just one WP was a bit tricky due to ambiguity, but a conservative approach lead me right. Sat down & did the calculations and that resulted in a likely spot so I headed off. It didn't take too long to uncover the cache.
TFTC StormCatchers. FP for this one.

#965. 55 days in a row.
I headed out after an event at EPIC to get a few caches before heading to a friend's place. This cache was not too far away, so I stopped by for a look.
After visiting all of the waypoints, I calculated the coordinates and looked at where it was on a map. I thought that the location didn't look likely, so I had a guess at an adjustment to one of the figures I'd collected and, when that looked more likely, I headed there for a check. It turned out to be exactly the right adjustment to have made as the cache was quickly in my hand.

Noticed these had been fixed, so headed out this afternoon to sign the log. Fortunately I had saved the coordinates from my efforts last time, so only had to visit GZ.

Old cache muggled , new cache deployed. Let's hope it stays safe. Happy caching
I wish my GPS would flag disabled caches! Went for the walk and gathered all the information, then off to GZ where I couldn't find anything, nor an object matching the hint.
Only when I checked old logs did I see that it was disabled.
Oh well... [B)] Nice walk anyway.

Went to check on this one and unfortunately it looks like it is gone, will have to rethink the hide now. Amazing how much the area has changed...stand by for the rebirth
Had a very thorough search around GZ, but came up empty, Thanks for the fun walk though!
A final run for the numbers to align for Monday and we thought we would clean up a few multis. This was first stop in a park we have passed a few times and always looked interested. We enjoyed the stroll around collecting the clues, worked out the finals and then headed to GZ. Nice to see it was away from the main action as the park is certainly popular. A quick find once at GZ. Favourite part was the duck family with 7 or so ducklings - adorable!

Another find on my summer cachestravaganza. Woohoo. A nice but hot walk with the kids today.
Found with my dad and brother. Great fun on the exercise equipment, even if I couldn't reach a couple
After a very hot day, storms were forecast for the afternoon. So I decided to head out and grab my daily before I was quite literally playing in the storm! [:O)]
When I arrived at GZ the place was deserted except for one brave chap having a game of solo soccer in the court. The ball suddenly came flying over the fence so I tossed it back over to him
Anyway, on with the cache. I enjoyed walking around this cool area gathering all the clues and checking out the facilities. What a great idea this area is for getting people active and outside-sure helps in reducing societies now growing obesity rates! (come to think of it, after all the christmas/new year fare I've had I really should of had a go on the fitness equipment and done a few laps of the place! )
So then after strolling around gathering the info and formulating the coords, off I went to GZ to make the nice easy find. TNLNSL.
Thanks for this cool multi in this cool area, STORMCATCHERS. Fave from me

Today saw my first chance in a very long time to have a solid caching day combined with some quality dog-time with Elvis the geo-hound who has been thinking I hate him after a months enforced inactivity.
A bit of easy suburban walking seemed to fit the bill and I had looked at this and it's sister cache a couple of times and had to dismiss them due to lack of time. Pulled up at the park and must admit I was pretty impressed. What a tops spot to have right on your doorstep (for those that do). Chatted to one muggle who was just starting his own workout and wondering why I wasn't similarly partaking. But I've really only just got walking down-pat at the moment so anything else much ain't gonna happen. Still.... I might return one day - you never know.
Anyway - after an exceptionally enjoyable wander the cache was found and we were off again. Gets a fav from me.

Goal for today was to complete the two "Playing in the Storm" caches!
Which I did accomplish.... but it took much longer than it should have
I got the coordinates wrong a few times, because two of the clues had several possible ways to interpret them. I also mistook the "I" for an "L" which completely messed up my coordinates and took me into someones driveway
I eventually got there in the end, but it took a while!

I needed a multi for the August challenge, this one was on the way home. Thanks Stormcatches a great multi
Completed the find today at lunchtime and I have started on its sequel. What an excellent facility for the locals. I have driven past Crace more times than I can count and probably would never have visited here. Ah the benefits of geocaching.
My grandson and his family have just moved from Melbourne to Canberra and I will be bringing him here for an exploratory walk, especially the sequel.
Thanks SC for an excellent, enjoyable and informative cache. It gets a favorite from me.

Another great park area for families. I was a bit thrown off by the clue as I couldnt find a dark river rock with the cache under it but did find it. I have taken the Mr Pacman coin and will deliver to a new home. tftc STORMCATCHERS
Rolled up to this one with a few muggles about. One books seemed a bit curious that I was scrawling details down on a bit of paper. The caching app compass was 90 to 180 degrees off, so we ended up doing a bit of guesswork using maps and ancient aerial imagery. Got some answers, then headed off to a location close to where I anticipated the hide would be. The GPS had us about 10m from where I made a find between muggle runners. Ahhh nice hide - finally something that wasn't a frigging urban micro or an eclipse tin!
Unfortunately the cache had some water inside, somehow the log was relatively dry. Tipped it out & dropped off a coin. TFTC!

This is a well planned and executed puzzle - well done. I loved it. It was a bit tricky at GZ - my GPS kept pointing on another 3m in all directions so I ended up looking under many items mentioned in your hint. I even phoned my daughter who had found it weeks ago to see if I was in the right location. Finding GZ doesn't seem to be a problem - finding the cache often is. Thanks STORMCARCHERS
Found @ 3:14pm with squiggle30 on a lovely spring day
Loved the tour of the area while squiggle30 had fun helping me count all the necessary items. squiggle30 also took great delight in squirting me with one of the powerful drinking fountains (don't worry, I got her back!).
The cache took a bit of finding but it was neatly hidden in its hidey hole. I grabbed the "Poker is War" TB while squiggle30 made some swaps.
Thanks STORMCATCHERS, we are off to do Playing in the Storm II.

I loved the tour that the cache gave us. I loved getting squirted by the bubbler to keep me cool. I was a fan of the workout equipment and I also loved the playground. I traded a stretchy key ring for a smiley face badge.
Thanks for the cache!!!
