I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi Big smokeThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
No luck today.
No tree only suckers. Cache may well have been harvested.

After a couple of very wet days in Dunedin, StreetWalkerNZ and I woke to a glimpse of blue sky and sun but with more rain predicted, we started early to make the most of the good weather on our drive north to Moeraki. We even had time to do a wee tiki tour around Palmerston and environs.
Wow, that's one big tree and pity that it was a bit too early in the season for ripe apples. Cache was a quick find once I had found a route through all the branches to GZ. TFTC.

2020 hasn't been the best year for geocaching for a number of reasons so we decided a road trip from Dunedin was in order.
Caching our way from Palmerston, through Macraes and back to Mosgiel via Middlemarch.

Went out today with the aim of changing green boxes on the map to yellow, but unfortunately a few blue popped up too. Most of our finds were nice and simple, but a few took a bit of time.
Andy went in for the hunt and came out victorious but scratched. tftc

I actually found this one on the ground so replaced as per the hint before scrambling out. Apples not ready yet. TFTC # 16,451
Thanks winter time so no apples. Taking a side trip on the way to Naseby to collect a few cache for the Mythical Creatures challenge.
A day trip out this way to clean up a few caches. Such great country we have around us. I forget how lucky we are to be so close to it. TFTC
Heading to Middlemarch for a caching weekend and had the morning to fill in before meeting BCD at Palmerston. Was a bit of a mission getting to this one with all the grass and branches but made it to find cache safe and sound. TFTC
Makes it easy without the leaves on the trees. it would be nice to know what he fruit looks and tastes like.
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.
Met a friendly geocacher and we did some caches together - nice to meet you KiiGeoswami

Caching with someone with 30,000 caches !!! WOW ! Signed as PEGS, as we are all going to the Mega together.
Most of the apples had been picked- just one branch left to harvest. A little woody for eating raw, but good flavour once cooked.
We enjoyed the day caching in this area
Tftfun
So many caches done to remember all, but got a kick out of all that we found

No problem find my sweet apple today, but his mate, further down the road was no where to be seen. Looks like like others will be missing out on an apple pie too.
It didn’t take too long to find this cache. We were glad it wasn’t somewhere among the many objects across the road. TFTC
Found at 4:07:00 p.m. on 11/08/2013.
No apples this time of year.

Being winter means no apples so we can't comment if they are sweet or sour, but we did find the cache so all smiles here Found with debsnz
Had just parked ute when a farmer appeared on his quad. Ask me what I was doing? Had no reason to be here parked in a funny place. Told him I was geocaching." Geo what?' Long conversation. Think he may have seen some others parked in the same spot. At least now he knows we are to caging his place. He drove of a happy man. Then his wife pulls up a couple of minutes latter, told her the same thing. Spent 10 minutes on public relations 2 minutes geocaching.TFTC #487
We found only the one Apple on the tree, but Little Horrible picked it.Ha Ha you know her well.Lol TFTC
I went in the wrong way and got very tangled up in all the branches. Once I found the cache I realised there was an easier way in - I left via that route! TFTC
A quick grab, but I emerged right in front of a horsey muggle! Luckily I had "apples" as an alibi TFTC
Had only just pulled up and not yet got out of the car when a farmer (I assume) pulls up beside us in his standard-issue farm Hilux. We had passed him playing with a fence way back down the road before "A Different View". He just stared at us. So I wound my window down and said "Can I help you?" He replied "You lost?". To which I responded "No." So he stared at us a bit more and then drove off. I guess he was trying to be helpful but, brother, what an attitude. Just as well he's a farmer and not in a job where he has to have regular contact with the public. Quick find. TFTC.
Saw some one else had tried the apples ( well found the cache) so after signing the log we moved on.
Thanks
