16 November 2024 20:49A lovely walk in one of the nicer spots in Coburg, with a good few caches here on offer, dalerious and I enjoyed the gentle stroll around getting all the information required for each of the caches. We got a good set of numbers and moved on to gz. Muggles, bugger! OK, we will go and do something else and come back.Back to gz. No, not again, this time different Muggles. Bl%$dy hell, are we ever going to sign the log of this cache. When we eventually made it to gz for the third time, it was now well and truly dark.We signed the log and placed the cache back in it's hide.Thank you Kmace for the lovely walk and this multicache .
After the nearby CITO, K.J.R. and I headed to the final of this multi. Lots of school kids about who were meant to be doing a project but just seemed to be playing in Merri Creek. Nice hide. Thanks!
Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Six: Merri-bek (which ProjectGC is still calling Moreland at this point).Weather: the wind was back briefly, but generally a great day.First physical find after the nearby CITO. I was at WP1 collecting some numbers when others arrived to see the sleeping tawny frogmouth, then we all walked to the final ground ZERO (there it is) which was conveniently on my way to the car anyway. The cache is in great shape and the ZIPLOCK (there it is again) bag is intact. Thanks for this multi kmace.
Found by The Empire + HOn Sunday, we decided to explore Northcote and Coburg, starting with lunch at Ju Jus Deli. The cozy atmosphere and flavorful dishes at Ju Jus set the perfect tone for the day. We devoured delicious focaccia sandwiches, savouring every bite. After filling up, we took a leisurely stroll through a couple of parks in Northcote, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and greenery. A multi and a couple of earthcaches were on the cards as they are the easiest way to get points for the Cosmic rubbish Geocaching.com is putting out during the southern hemispheres winter months. The weather was perfect, making the walks even more enjoyable. Answers sent, a couple of great earthcaches to add to my list. Finally, we headed over to Rowdys Records in Coburg, where we spent time browsing through vinyl records, discovering new music to take home. It was the perfect way to wrap up a relaxed and fulfilling day. Thanks for the cool multi-cache, kmace.-M
Bisoutje and I are on a roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground at Melbourne. After a CITO-event here this morning we followed Micaparamedic to a newly published earthcache of his. Along the way we stopped for a quick find here. This here really is a lovely park with loads of animals and beautiful trees and creeks. TFTC!
Z is for Warren Zevon! We are visiting from South Gippsland and decided to finish the A-Z puzzle nearby, but we had a few letters missing. This one fit the bill, and the multi was solved pretty quickly.Bonus for us was the nearby CITO that we visited afterwards. TFTC
After the breakfast event and CITO I headed on down to WP1. A nice straightforward multi which are always the best kinds. Thank you kmace for placing and maintaining Z is for ........... for us to find today.
Once in the zone, we zoomed in on WP1 & gathered the necessary information to move forward to WP2 with zest in our step. A zillion overly zealous muggles on bikes rushed by. The final waypoint was calculated, and we zippily zigzagged towards ground zero. With a zip and a zap, we had the container in hand, the ziplock bag opened & log book signed. Now we head home to dinner - zucchini slice. We left behind a trackable. We are excited to find this 'z' cache it was the final piece of the puzzle GC3BBR2 A-Z Challenge.
Success after a couple of failed attempts - mostly due to muggle activity. I've had a fair bit of time on my hands as of late, so I went for a ride down the Merri creek trail and found myself at the right location without muggles in sight. Dropped off some nice things to trade. TFTC
**Z is for Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah!**Which is what I exclaimed once I finally spotted this cache...to the confusion of a passing muggle. The weather was stunning today, warm and sunny. The weather was too nice to be stuck at work and with it being the perfect weather to get out and go caching, I decided to sneak out of work a bit early. So, since I had a bit more time on my hands than normal I decided to mix things up and make a trip up to the northern suburbs for an impromptu caching trip.So I was scouting around to see which caches I should target today and this one quickly caught my eye.Not only did I need to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahombug's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=6dbc178e-cf55-4705-a97f-435a7b7e6997&ds=2) [WCW - 50% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z58Z)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z58Z), but I have also been keeping an eye out for caches that start with the letter **"Z"** as I have been ever so slowly been working on trying to qualify for [BettyBoo3747's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=b428cb40-4402-4727-be59-629514313117&wid=efcfa057-31c5-4aad-9223-76e47bc18125&ds=2) [Z-Z-Z - Challenge (GC4JHFA)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4JHFA)So with this one being both a multi cache and the cache name started with the letter **"Z"** it quickly become the first target of the day.So after I got off work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way to the [recommended parking coordinates](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=e719a155-ed02-47a1-971f-17ee624341c6&RefID=47aa2f0b-400a-4dd9-b6ad-2c9add69aa31&RefDS=1).The park was fairly busy and when I arrived there was a fair amount of muggles enjoying the beautiful weather as well, but I was still able to make quick work of the first two waypoints. I did however find that my original answers for Letters **"C""** and **"E"** were actually incorrect, but based off the maths I was able to work out where I went wrong without to much delay. So I then headed to GZ when I came upon some muggles taking what appeared to be wedding photos, not wanting to interrupt, I sat down on one of the seats at Waypoint 2 and just enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Luckily for me, they were just finishing up at that location and made there way a short distance away. I was a bit hesitant to make my search at GZ as they could still easily spot me, but the photographer and the lovely couple seemed to have much more important things to do then to pay me any attention. So I had a quick glance on one side of the beacon and quickly realised that the cache was mostly likely going to be on the other side. So I snuck around poking my head around as I went before eventually I spotted the cache.A big thanks goes to [kmace](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=a8a68b72-de15-40a0-9473-ddffa3ff94a4&wid=47aa2f0b-400a-4dd9-b6ad-2c9add69aa31&ds=2) for the lovely little walk and for highlighting some of the beauty of this park. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in great shape and the contents were all nice and dry. The logbook was pristine, clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Date: 9 September 2023 Time: 8:56 amFind #14167After parkrun nearby first thing, I went for a more casual stroll around the park and found a couple of multis.I had done the work on this one on a previous visit but no pen, so it was a quick find and sign today.Massive thanks go to kmace for placing this one.
Z is for Zombies of course, or perhaps Zack a bloke I work with but then again we all love Zebras. A great day at the CITO was followed by a few multi-storey around the lake with Tiz13. Well it was a great day all up now time for some zzzzzzzzz. TFTC
Zappy....after 2 strong coffees this morning, i was very zappy, and with the nearby CITO done and dusted, it was time for slowdog and i to find a few caches. With some counting done, we returned to GZ for a systematic search to find this cache. travel bug rescued.
We found this cache today on our Ramble Around Coburg Lake. This wasn't the first multi cache that we started here today but it was the first that we finished. There certainly are a lot of bridges over this creek. Our 5th cache find to date in this park with the first 3 way back in 2004, 2005 and 2008 and the second of these finds was located in the same spot. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Peckman2008 and I found this multi several weeks ago but our pen died. Came back today to sign the log and leave a TB. TFTC
A little tricky doing a multi with kids, but quick observations and calculations today made for not too much trouble. GZ itself really was a great spot for a cache, even on an overcast day it was a beautiful ride. Thanks for taking us on this stretch, a FP from me!
While walking around the Lake - Bunadoorian and I were here and so I signed the log book. I enjoyed my walk around Coburg Lake today. TFTC and for bringing us here - kmace.
Heading to the CITO event at Coburg, I thought I would leave early and collect a few geocaches. However 6 am clearly was not early enough as it still took me 2 hours to get here. Only got 2 geocaches before the event, not as many as I wanted. However 1 was an DT in an Earthcache that I needed.
Buzzing from the delicious coffee at the first event, I drove here and quickly worked out some Way Points for the Multicaches here. Then it was time for the CITO. Amazing what can be achieved my a number of geocaches in just 1 hour while all having a great chat.
Found this one after the event at 10.45 am. Pleased that it was exactly where I would have hidden it, which meant a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache K Mace

I was put into the right zone by another cacher doing a CITO I was attending. Using the hint it became an easy find. A really nice area in an equally nice park. TFTC.

After attending the Weeding on a Wednesday CITO at Coburg Lake Rocky Outcrop we set a course for home, naturally following a route which included a variety of caches including this one.
A golden oldie! for 10 years cachers have been chasing these zany red creatures across the park. Got a bit conused with a couple of the numbers obtained for the questions - a bit subjective! Anyway, got there with some help from PAF.
Thanks to kmace for adding this cache to the gameboard.

After the CITO I walked down to check out the Owls in the peppercorn tree, tricky to spot.
Met up with SeMicMitSar and continued to do a couple of multis around the lake.
This was the first one. We bother realised we hadn't seen the CO in quite a while.
We did out counting, and found we had to wait a while at GZ for the muggles to depart.
They finally did and we made our find.
Thanks, Robmc.

Following the CITO, a few of us wandered down to check out the Tawny Frogmouths resident in a tree near the creek. After that I headed over to my calculated GZ to make a quick find and log.
Thanks kmace for placing this cache and adding to the game board.

After the CITO in this park quite close to the starting point of this cache, then a short trip over the bridge and working out the final coordinates made for a short multi to help fill in my calendar in this beautiful park. It seems to improve every time we visit it. It’s even better doing it with a new caching friend. It was great having your company in this hunt Long John Silva!

*Cache find # 13995.*
Well after all the work was done at the CITO, it was time to have a go at a couple of multicaches around the lake area.
On the way to the start, I stopped off to have a look at the local Tawny Frogmouths and then joined up with robmc as we went about collecting the info needed to make our way to GZ.
We arrived at GZ but as there where a few muggles here we just took in the view before they departed, we then got to do what we were here for and found the cache.
**Thanks to kmace for placing this cache.**

This wasn't far from the events that we attended this morning so it was a bit of a stroll and then a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Like quite a few others, I did my bit at a Coburg Lake CITO this morning... and like some of those, I set off for a Multi... in my case to tick off a day for a Multi challenge and to generally increase my Multi 's. I had the enjoyable company of **surefoot24** for a wander around the vicinity of the CITO doing the necessary counting and hunting.
Thanks **kmace** for putting this cache here.

This was a nice quick find on a lovely day after attending a couple of nearby events. Thanks for the cache.
This was one of my local multis that I had been saving for a rainy day. Despite being near to this one at yesterdays CITO, I restrained myself from joining the group assault and returned today when I needed it most.
The cache was found safe and well, with a number of familiar names inside.
Thanks kmace for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

They say geocachers are zany, but this morning a zesty group of cachers zealously weeded an area north of the reserve. Not quite a zillion weeds but a substantial amount was pulled. The talk with the Friends of Coburg Lake turned to the geology of the area but disappointingly zeolites weren't mentioned. The zenith of the morning was seeing a tawny frogmouth in the nearby peppercorn tree.
After the CITO I didn't want to leave the area with zero finds so I made my way to this multi. I zigged and zagged my way past the initial wps and to the cache.
Later on I met up with Knight_shift and after a couple of bungles between us we got our calculations right. I suppose sometimes two wrongs do make a right... .
Thanks, kmace.

Thank goodness for ThePacman. We were coming off a DNF in the area when we bumped into him. Consequently, we were not too far from GZ, although we didn’t know this at the time. With great instructions, we headed off to make the find.
Unfortunately our memory of his hints faded with each step to GZ. We also did not bring a pen along with us as we had only planned on attending the CITO. After a 10 minute search, it was looking like we had Zero chance of finding the cache, but once again, our hero ThePacman came to our rescue.
Not our normal practice of finding caches, but we’ll take it this time. Thank you kmace for placing this cache is such a great location.

Arrived 15 minutes late for the CITO to discover I was 7 days early. Calendars can be so tricky like that. At least I was here, and took the opportunity to pick this one up. I'd solved it during one of the lockdowns, but during lockdowns people were so often out and about. Today it was much quieter, and the find was where I expected it to be. Thanks kmace for this silver lining to my organisational cloud.
Found in fading light on the way back from the Napoleon's CITO. Hoping I've got a record number of caches types today. Lovely spot
After some searching, logic and manipulation a plausible sent of co-ords were calculated.
Cache was soon found after a brief search and while enjoying the lovely view.
Zero fails for me today....now to commute home.

Wow, note to self: go back to maths and counting 101! Got there in the end, lovely spot at GZ. Thanks for placing the cache kmace.
I really enjoyed this multi and what a lovely place, yet again an area I didn't know existed. Left a Z message in the log too. Tftc
#12746 - 9:31:00 AM; Arrived back on the big island on the ferry early this morning and after grabbing some breakfast in Pascoe Vale, set off in search of some caches near the geodaughters place. Started the nearby multi first, then backtracked for this one. Managed the maths okay, then on to GZ for the hunt. Didn't spot the cache at first, but after checking a few places, let the geosenses loose and plucked the cache out of the midst of the cobwebs and added my name to the log. I'm sure I heard the sound of a zither playing in the distance while I worked through this multi! TFTC kmace
Welcome back to geocaching again. This cache is now enabled but I haven't done a health check on it. If there are any problems let me know and I will come up and check it.
You might think it is as simple as A B C, however A has changed over time. I searched "ship to wharf by Liz Hewitt" to reveal A. This gave more detail; and what could have be zilch for this visit, turned up a find at GZ. TFTC
More an abandon than did not find. Stood right on the first coordinates and counted chairs, red things (didn't seem to be one in pieces) and bridges. Those numbers lead to 2.4km away. I'm guessing it might depend on where you stand Looking at other notes looks like people trial used trial and error.
Found at 3:57 pm.
Fleabag- had an errand to run near this area so of course we spent a few hours finding some caches. The weather held out well today and was nice for cruising around on the scooters when we could.
This was quite tricky because depending on where you stood near GZ the answers could be different. Eventually we eliminated some options and found WP2. Based on the hint we then randomly searched and guessed where it would be because we also weren't sure about the next set of numbers and we came up with the cache.
Thanks kmace for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

A few errands out north today Spiffy- my geopartner and I pack the car with the scooters with some freestyle caching in mind.
We sure made hard work of this as A looked unusual so we used an educated guess. This helped reassess B an C and finally D. Poked about at GZ and the cache was found.
Thanks to kmace for the placement and fun.

Out with xambo4u & au.fait, we had a very successful day caching in the Coburg area. We did this multi long ago, but the cache was missing. We returned today with great zinging success, but we saw no zebras . Zzzz . Thanks kmace.
Out and about with echidna44 and au.fait for a day of caching. Long time coming due to lockdowns. This a revisit to this one. We had already done the walk and it had gone but it was quickly replaced. (thanks kmace). With 3 of us attacking we soon had it in hand. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely park kmace. We so enjoyed our walk around.
Having a lovely day out and about in the northern suburbs collecting many interesting caches in the delightful company of echidna44 and xambo4u. With the final coordinates in hand headed to GZ. and it wasn’t too long before our names were in the log. Loved the viewzzz from GZ TFTC kmace
Back when I started caching, this would have been my second find, but I could not put the numbers into a good final figure. I got a final at Keady St, about 1.5 klms north, then a couple months later, i added up again, and got a final which would put me in the grounds of the old gaol. the next lot of sums, gave me a final, under the platform that the old timber yard was sityated, and had several homeless people camping there, After coming back every few months, to have a look at different possible hiding places, along came a virus, COVID19, and stopped everything, including Zippimg down to the lake, to use the exercise equipment, and have a bit of a look, but was able to ZOOM with the CO, during this stressful time, never able to chat about, this particular hide,, but as Covid is about done, and we as a community, can go out and visit again, this cache has come up on my radar again, and with lots of hints, from various other cachers, I had to go past the area, to visit with my Doctor, I had another look, but between showers of rain, sliding around in mud, and getting my spectacles fogged up, I still could not see the prize, till I took off my mask, sat spectacles on top of rock, and had an unblurred view of THE CACHE, Stamped my sign in very clean, dry log book, and put all back in place, Thanks kmace, for a very intriguing exercise, I now feel deflated at finding this cache,
Re-enabling this one now that covid lockdown is over. Thanks nigalagrin for checking on it.
This cache has been on my To Find list since I started back in July 2015, and still up to March 2020 it eludes me, either I am blind, cannot count properly or it was AWOL at times, but by all the beings that go with this hobby IT aint gunna beat me, I do now think I know where the foul thing is hiding and being within 5 klms from my residence, allows me to have a wander when ever the CO allows the hide to be Enabled again
Thanks a lot for checking on this. It is disabled for covid rather than needing maintenance currently.
The extra time we have for exercise meant that I happened to be passing by this evening, so figured I could check on this cache... and the replacement container is safely tucked away where it was placed half a dozen months ago.
This cache is disabled due to the covid pandemic. Finding caches during a time of social distancing and recommended isolation is discouraged.

Our mission today was to find some very select caches to spell a word to qualify for a scrabble challenge. This one was a must for me, so as the cache appeared to have gone for a swim, I replaced the cache with kind permission from the CO.
baZinga!!
Thanks for placing this cache, kmace

Out and about with echidna44 ticking some more off to the North.Just love this park land. Never been here before so it was a real eye opener. Managed to pick up some clues which did not work out at all. Read activities and reconfigured things and thought we had it sorted but it took us to the water. Read the hint and thought we have it worked out. Gave it a good search and still not luck. Hope you can help us out here kmace
Lovely afternoon so thought we’d give this one a go, found the clues & arrived at GZ but after looking in between the locals coming & going came up empty handed.
A bit confused to begin with as there was no broken red object but assumed there was, and everything worked out well from there. Enjoyed a nice walk and the kids had fun on the playground and along the creek. Have been wanting to come to this spot for years so glad we finally made it!! Ztupendous! Left a very cute travel bug to continue his adventures.
Although the forecast was for a cold wet day I decided that I needed to get out for some crisp fresh air. I had a rough idea where I would go today but still let the GPS be my guide.
After arriving at the posted coordinates I went about gathering the required information...at one point my maths let me down so I got to experience another part of the lake.
Eventually I ended up at the correct GZ with my geosenses at their zenith I was able to make a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Find #4250. Found @ 14:22 with LouiseAnn and MrMeöw
Many moons ago, Annoying Tarbit, LouiseAnn and I solved a bunch of these at a puzzle solving night at my place. The remaining ones we slogged away at for ages, until we had only as few left. We got some helpful hints from the CO for those.
Today was the day to collect them, so we organised ourselves with two cars to do a car shuffle halfway for lunch. We only got as far as lunch (half the finds) before Annoying Tarbit had other places to be.
We'd found some solved puzzles, but as Annoying Tarbit had to leave, we decided to leave the rest for a time when he was available again.
The topic of multi-caches came up during our previous walk, so I selected one close-ish, that LouiseAnn had not done (although it turns out that she has done it, but has an appalling memory). We got stuck at the first waypoint, until we decided that the "broken" object is presumably now a missing object.
The next part was easy, but GZ was infected by an infestation of canoodling muggles. We managed to find the cache anyway. MrMeöw played on the rocks before we called it quits for the day to go and watch The Princess Bride (one of my all time fav movies) because MrMeöw had not seen it (inconceivable!)
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache kmace

Visiting from Queensland to attend the Parkville MEGA, we took to the roads today to target a few specific caches down around Mornington area and Melbourne.
On our way to our accommodation, we stopped here to gather the info to find the final for this multi. Located the cache where the log was signed then cache returned as found.

Day 3 of our visit to Victoria and meeting up with several geocaching friends in the city then out in the countryside. Beautiful day with great views, nice park, good hide and a quick find for us here today.

Another nice suburban park with walking and riding trails. We have enjoyed visiting a number of similar parks while in the area. GZ was a bit of a surprise but all went well and we gratefully signed the log.
Cheers and happy caching!

Had a very busy and interesting day caching around the suburbs of Melbourne - such a lot of interesting parks and so many bike trails. Enjoyed your multi kmace. Thanks.
Arrived at GZ and after some time the cache was found. Down here to attend the Parkville Mega Event. TFTC
Realised l haven't logged all my caches from the mega weekend when l was out grabbing some caches with Happy Feet. We had hit some of the trails on our bikes before lunch and now it was time to get our legs and backsides a rest and we went off and grabbed a few caches not too far from the event and this was one of the multi's we attempted in this area. We set off for a wander around the park gathering the required information and after crunching a few numbers came up with a likely set of co-ord's and set off and found the cache after a short search. Thanks kmace for the nice simple little multi and hide and also the walk around this quaint parkland.
Out with Happy pants with our bikes, after attending the Mega and then cleaning up some more of the caches around or associated with the event. Took the opportunity to also grab anything else we came across, along the way. We had a few DNF but made some good discoveries and clever hides during the day. We had some fun and laughs along the way.
Good to find this one, after doing what was needed. I'm sure there is a zzzz challenge somewhere.
Thanks kmace for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Melbourne Day2
Today Bill headed off with geono on their bikes to complete 2 of the many trails around the area.
Which he said it was a great day with good company. Enjoyed the day on his bike, the perfect way to cache in the city area.
Found numerous caches & an assortment of sizes in some great locations.

I wanted to do a few multis this afternoon as the weather was perfect and there was the chance of a nice walk around Lake Coburg.
This one worked out well and the cache was safe and sound
Cheers

We had problems working out co-ordinates that were anywhere close enough and this problem seemed to be at WP1........ so we went off to see if we could find WP2 on clues alone. Had we read a previous log we would have known what we suspected - one red item is missing from WP1 so whatever answer you get, you need to add 1. Once we took that into the calculations the cache was an easy find. A lovely spot to spend some time. TFTC kmace.
In need of a multi to keep my multi streak intact I dropped by this particular one in order to avenge my DNF almost one year ago!
I had a different result this time AND there were no muggle problems on this rainy, drizzly day.

Clue A needs revision! One red object is now missing (just add one to your total). Found regardless with perseverance! Zygote & Zamboni.
Out and about for some much needed family time. It’s few and far between these days. The kids loved playing amongst the rock with I went and got some clues.
Cache was almost out of reach but lucky I have a skinny arm.
Cache singed and replaced, now home for a ZooperDooper.

While most normal people are catching some zees at this time of day, +Wife and I decided this was a good time to migrate to Morisset for the oZgeomuster Mega Event.
Of course grabbing a Z for ourselves to begin our road trip.
Well! The chains are up alongside the entrance to the car park.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem however tonight we are towing the camper trailer!
Then there's the suspicious dudes in a white van and another hoon mobile, not sure what they were uo to... not sure we want to know.
A nighttime reverse out onto the street was fun but we managed.
Thanks for the cache kmace and we both wish you a safe and Happy Easter.

I decided not to go to the zoo, instead I came and got this cache. A not too difficult multi and a nice hide at the end.
I have had this green dot on my map for a while and I picked today to Zoom over to make it a smiley.
I Zigged and Zagged over the park to pick up what was required and soon had a set of coords that looked good.
A quick search I soon had the logged signed.
Thanks kmace TFTC

Found It!
A nice little walk on a rather wet morning. I soon found the required numbers and then headed over to GZ for a quick find! In Adelaide, Z is for Zytheran, the creator of many puzzles...

Cache has been replaced (actually with the container from the original cache (before this one) at this location!). Cache page modified to reflect new conditions and more accurately reflect where final GZ is.... Enjoy the hunt. Stealth required.
I have replaced the cache here and just need to update the page before re-enabling it but am having problems logging into geocaching.com. Am in the process of sorting this out and will enable again as soon as possible.
I'm reasonably sure this cache is MIA. After arriving at about the only place that matched the hint near the derived co-ords I did the traditional 'feel-with-your-hands' trick around the perimeter. When that didn't work I resorted to lying down and having a good ole' gander from either side at various angles and various points so far as possible. I wasn't willing to lie completely flat on my back and wriggle under the structure as I thought that a 750ml sistema even painted black would be sufficiently apparent whilst looking from the perimeter, especially for a T1.
I think the CO may want to have a look herself to assure herself that either: I missed it as I was on the wrong angle or b. it is indeed gone.
Might also be worth mentioning that one of the red objects has collapsed although you can see the top part of it and that there may be a number of signs at WP2 that can safely be disregarded.

I hate it when everyone else says it is obvious and I am left standing scratching my head! Searched for ages, nothing!

We were zealous in our search for said cache. Mrs Womble lost her Zen with the zany clues (new structure blocking view of one object). A bike zoomed past. Cache logged and signed by Zoe (Miss Womblet). TFTC

Have searched here previously, but it was a bit muddy. Today I found it and appropriately we are visiting the area because our grandson Zander was born near here two weeks ago. So this is the first cache for Zander. Our other Z word would be our son - Zachary. Thanks for the cache. Also, picked up travel ingot, thanks.
