Found it, even with the roadworks going on at the moment, great hint. TFTC
We didn't find it but my kid steps in the mud and her shoe is now covered in mud
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored a beautiful day after a couple of chilly ones. Thanks for the hide LNCU
It was September 2020 when we started the Forty Winks trail. We were holidaying in McLaren Vale as Queensland and South Australia were the only states you could travel between back when the pandemic was a thing.. SA has wine and QLD doesnt so that choice only worked in our favour. We have holidayed here a few times since then but this week we are back in Hahndorf visiting some wineries in the Adelaide Hills. Being only 30 minutes from McLaren Vale we drive back to grab some wine from some of our favourite cellar doors and also to try and find a few more Forty Winks caches. tftc
Poly moly that was a good one! Went the hard way by jumping over the creek lol, but its about the journey not the destination!
Visiting Adelaide for the Mega and after visiting family in Seaford wanted to try and get some more to get me closer to 1000. It was dark so when I reversed the car back a bit on the side of the road I didnt see the flattened roadside post - damn damaged the car a little bit but not too much. Thanks for placing these here, close enough that next time I visit I will be able to get some more. Signed logs as JLG (or variations of depending on the signatory) JOT205, low1, GayeNT Oh and that is a NO for my bucket list
Out n about for some night caching. Great series. Some cache contents were wet, replaced logs as able if needed. Cheers tftc.
Starting the day here with our DeafPVC gang. The scenery is beautiful and the finds is going to be fun.
Log still wet.equipe de cinq, I found Forty Winks #01 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
Found right before have some great wood fire pizza at the nearby winery. At first all I found was a SPOR but eventually spotted the container about 8m away near the culvert. It must have rained hard since the last find. Log is soaked TFTH
I decided to go out for the day around Aldinga, Whites Valley and Sellicks Hill for caches before sir_spectre's Gemmel Tassie Reserve CITO at McLaren Vale.
It also ended up with a spur of the moment trip to Victor Harbor to check on some of my caches since I had already come this far.
It was good to finally get at least part of this series done as it was the first series I noticed when I signed up for Geocaching, 3 and a half years ago...
Unfortunately it wasn't a brilliant start as I was unable to locate anything here.
I shall return!

I had managed to negotiate a morning of caching on a rare day off. The plan was to see how much I could get to before the forecast rain arrived. I decided to travel between this series of caches on two wheels rather than four, and it was nice to get some exercise in.
The cache was found easily enough here, though again it was out in the open. I tried to provide it with a bit more protection when I replaced it. TFTC equipe de cinq
P.S. I have jumped out of a plane was fun!

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure and another very chilly, wet day. Just perfect for geocaching. A quick driveby, all good here.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

What a day we have had today. The first thing that happened right before my eyes all my maps just disappeared from the GPS, nothing we did would bring them back. Finally after several phone calls trying to fix the problem we ended up on the phone to Garmin who declared that the GPS was terminal. We will be without a GPS for a couple of weeks so it is caching with the phone, yuk. Today we needed to say no to a few of the Forty Winks caches that we had targeted.
The phone has an app on it that monitor’s my heart and I am not allowed to be more than 2 meters from the phone, the terrain was beyond me, if hubby had gone for the caches he would have needed to use the phone, the next thing would be a phone call wondering if everything was OK.
All the caches that we found today were in good condition and the majority of co-ords are spot on. Our finds were a mix of trads, multi and puzzles.

Found with Kaptn & geokids. Took trackable & hid a little better as had rolled out.
Out for an afternoon of caching. Really enjoyed working through the forty winks series here! Most were quick finds with the help of the hints. Tftc!
Started with No 1 hoping to finish them all while at Aldinga for 5 days with friends celebrating a 60 birthday. TFTC
Doing this series with ilook4geo today with a good find rate. The only ones we did not bother with were a few which required walking along a track where the grass was very long and could have been hiding who knows what. All the others were nice quick and easy finds and both names were soon stamped somewhere on each log. Thank you to equipe de cinq for placing this series of caches.
Enjoyed the caching along with goingplaces2 today. We had a mostly successful time, retrieved each container, signed the log and replaced all as found. TFTC.
Starting off to a beautiful day out geocaching with the EOS girls. The sun is out just for us and off to a good start. Thanks for the great design - hope we can find many more of this series today
Decided to go for a walk to do a few of these. Unfortunately forgot pen! Winery across the road does nice Pizzas if hungry.
