Big old tree....I bet he saw some changes through his life. Thanks for the cache, we appreciate you taking us on this wander.
A quick find here as I parked just around the corner. Nice busy road today but the cache was well protected and out of harms way. Thanks Team Yarra for this cache.
TwoEms quoth On a late and autumn evening, while we wondered and a dreaming,we grabbed our raincoats on our leaving, and headed out the door. The rain was a beating, and our hearts were a fleeting, for something was awaiting near the street of Templemore. The closer we were creeping, the traffic there was screaming, on the corner of a secret to explore.Unpublished is the rest for what happenedtoo bright and scaryis hidden under geocaching code and law.Otherwise, a secret no more.Thank you for the cache.
A short walk from the last location. Only spotted one dog walker on the track, and she did not pay any attention to me. My second find for the day.
Quick jump up the retaining wall and we had the cache in hand. A quick find for us, which means more smileys on the map!! Thanks Team YARRA
A more successful attempt at this cache than the previous one. The cache was quickly spotted and the log signed.
Thanks baluke for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Used my origami foldup bike to find this section of a few caches earlier in the year. It wasn't where I expected it to be but had that sorted.
Thanks for the fun Team yarra.
Thanks for the fun Team yarra.
Easy find today on our visit to the area. Glad to see the Beehive keeping our fruit and vegies productive come spring time Thanks Team Yarra
No bees were around the nearby beehive but this was a quick first find of the day. TFTC
This is a very clever hiding spot. It did not take too long to spot though. Nice hide. I am enjoying caching around Templestowe.
Well hidden cache. Circled back to where I first looked after a few minutes. Thanks.
So after a beautiful but early start to the GF long weekend, the Melb weather changed its mind. Deciding to stay close to home base, we set off for these caches. But beware there are now two hives nearby.
A cool, wet morning find.
Quite a clever hide for the location.
Signed at the front of the log (next to a 2016 entry) where there is plenty of space. TFTC

Number 2 on our Australia Day caching expedition, and a fun find at that. Was visible from behind. TFTC!

Tftc, the kids live getting out after a hard day of remote learning and digging around in nature.
Thanks for bringing me out on this sunny afternoon of the long weekend. Geo dog is having fun. TFTC
Out for a walk and to pick up some caches on this lovely sunny Melbourne day after the heat of the last couple of days. This took a little longer to locate than it should have but Mrs Pooky found the nicely hidden cache. Tftc and bringing us to this walking track.
A nice clear morning and an opportunity to put some more smileys on the map before the weather turns sour again . This is the first time i have been to this part of the Mullum Trail . Parked at the recommended spot and took off by foot . An easy find . Thanks Team Yarra.
Nicely tucked away from muggle eyes but still a relatively easy find using the hint. TFTC.
This one was a little close to the road for our liking. Luckily for us the road traffic were all in a hurry to get where they were going. TFTC Team Yarra

Being so close to the road, I thought that was gonna be way more conspicuous than it was. A nice quick easy find.
Cheers Team Yarra

A glorious day out for a walk, a stroll, a meander along the pathtways, footpaths, roads and tracks in the area, picking up some geoaches along the way. This was a great day for geocache, sunny yet not too hot and all of the geocaches had great co-ordinates, were easy to find, were somewhat varied and all in all a very enjoyable day.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks to the hider for this experience today, with the weather and the great co-ordinates this was a day of geocaching, not a day of 'guess the hiding spot'. We both appreciated the series of geocache that we found today.

Another car shuffle brought me close to this set of caches and with the rain holding off I walked along to find the group. This was a nice straightforward find just far enough away from the road. TFTC
Out for walk on the trail today picking up a few clues.
This was the first.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Thanks for bringing me here.
Nice easy find amidst the eyes of passing muggle drivers who must be wondering what the heck I’m doing tftc
Out on a drive out this way to chase some specific old time caches today but couldn't help but stop along the way to find a few more in this entertaining series. I try and find a few each time I find myself in this neck of the woods, although I still have plenty to go. After a quick walk over to gz and picking the least prickly path through I soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the cache Team Yarra.
Very hot day with over 42 degrees while I walked along the path with lovely shades overhead. Nice and found. Cool cache. Thanks Team Yarra for placing the cache
Find #3970. Found @ 18:42
My self-appointed challenge for the year is to get 1000 finds for the year, and I've fallen behind in that. To get me closer, I went on another after work sojourn North of work.
I chose the wrong path to GZ and had to backtrack for a bit. I again chose poorly and had to contend with prickles. On the way out, there was a perfect geo-trail to get me out of GZ safely.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache baluke

We were a bit worried as we approached ground zero as the tree was looking rather dead but my daughter soon found the tricky container

The light is dimming but BTT's kid found this one right beside the road. Quite safely hidden and safe for kids too!

Approaching GZ, I was worried as there were a few people at the bus stop. Thankfully, a bus arrived as I arrived and took everyone away, so I could follow the hint and make the find.
Thanks BaLuke.
Thanks BaLuke.
Nice, easy find. Lots of cars going past, but managed to find and replace without being seen (hopefully). TFTC
Next stop on the walk had me arrive here. This was clearly a case of being fixated on one particular idea and completely missing the correct one until looping back to the correct spot and elevating the gaze. By the tracks around the nearest three trees I am not the only one.
A nice quick easy find on a day out to unashamedly get my numbers up to hit the 2000 mark at the upcoming Alexandra MEGA.
Wahoo, one that I found straight away.....

A bit hard to be discreet so close to a road, found it none the less. Fifth team Yarra today...
Mrs A and self were staying nearby and decided to have a crack at a few of series, starting at the finish.
A series of good hides and good coords lead to quick finds. Visited two TB's. TFTC Team Yarra.

Luckily I hadn't left my 'daily double' until the last minute like usual. Roadworks on the approach to GZ rerouted me into a confusing maze of residential streets. Eventually I made my way through and parked within a short walk of GZ.
As I got closer, I still had a quandary of approach. The cache wasn't where I had anticipated, which lead to a minor climb.
Finding the right feature was now a gimme, but me being me, it still took me a minute to find the cache. Again, I didn't expect it to be 'there'.
Thanks Baluke, for an adventure full of twists and turns and surprises.
As for the topic of "Unpublished", I can't say I have any unpublished caches in the pipeline just yet, but I'm sure it will happen in time. But I can say that I FOUND my first unpublished cache way up near Omeo last month. It had been sitting out in the bush unpublished for 7 years!!

Dad and 12yo headed out for a Boxing Day bike ride. This was a quick grab as we hurtled down the bike path. tFTC, will be back in coming weeks to continue this series
My previous visit to search for this cache was 365 days ago. How time flies.
Today I was targeting caches along the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail but stopped here first to try again to find this cache. After a short search I found the cache sneakily hidden away.
Thank you baluke for this great series.

This was very nicely hidden! I couldn't find it so I stopped to read through some logs, as I looked up from my phone, there it was. Tftc
I walked to this cache from the previous one. It took me a bit of searching, and I wondered if the cache had crept vertically, given the clue. But it was well hidden, and I felt well hidden as I searched for it and signed the log.

I'm aiming to get to 1000 caches by the end of the month, so I need to have a few serious days of geocaching in the next couple of weeks. Despite the fact that the weather forecast for today included words like "hail" and "snow", it was still sunny and windy before lunch, and looked promising. I headed up towards Templestowe to complete more of Baluke's excellent series, and got a few on the way there and back. The caches were easier to find the further I went, like I was getting my mojo back again I like that fact that I am actually warmer in winter when I'm outside geocaching than when I sit inside in front of the heater! I saw almost no muggles, which is another advantage of caching in winter Anyway, 25 caches today is more than a third I what I need before the 30th of this month. Thank you to everyone for the caches! You are all awesome

So here after a minor bladder deviation we soon found the next cache, then realised we had left a photo prop back at the car so we dashed back, and returned, completing some artistic tomfoolery with a stick and a rubber band, but the rubber band snapped so we had to "plan b" the tomfoolery. That's ok- we are flexible that way. More Flexible than a rubber band, evidently.
Luckily the muggles waiting for the bus got picked up just as we approached, otherwise I would have felt like a bit of a weirdo. Unfortunately poor Toilet Paper heard me say that my coffee had gone straight through me so he was a bit disappointed that he'd missed the bus. He was getting nervous that his time had come to become a dunny bunny. I snapped a pic of him planning his escape and have attached it to this log.
The cache took us a few minutes to find. We were not quite up to speed with the style of hide that we should be looking for yet. But find it, we did.

Came down to try and collect a few caches on the Yarra trail, today being reasonably hot
I was on the look out for a couple of those legless lizards as well. Lost my bus keys some
were caching along this bit of trail . Thanks Team Yarra FTC. Does this road ever get quiet.

Thought we might get in trouble walking here from the last one. Alas, the path appeared and all was well. Tftc.
