Archiving this one as I have discovered it is a local hangout for teenagers. Think I have found out why there is no cache here.

Biggles and I tried this one earlier in the day with no luck. Later on we looked with Stimitscar but still had no luck so either it is very well hidden or it has gone..

Three pairs of eyes made a concerted effort on this one. We believe it has been muggled again.

14-Mar-13
Found after a short search and a little guidance from a PAF.
Should have been easy but I was in a hurry and couldnt waste any time.
PAF thought it may have been muggled as it had previously been visible from the road but It was found in a great spot so I returned it to the same spot.
Thanks Julz76

A perfect day to pedal on the PLT - with a diversion to the east.
Found this sitting out on a beam with some interesting comments in the log! Returned to what we felt was a secure location.

NOTE TO CO: You might like to move this cache as it has been muggled.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Julz76.

Of all the times for a cache to go off - It hadnt stop raining now for over 1/2hour.
Upon arrival I had GZ to myself with the rain keeping me company [:(!] Anyways I started my search where I should't have - LOL! I come close to going for a unwanted swim in the swollen creek. Surprised That will teach me for next time - I must make it a habit to first read the notes instead of just being armed with coords.

The search eventually took me where I should have, according to the terrain rating BUT Silly me made a rookie mistake to trust the coords ... even thou the CO's always have spot on coords. Nevertheless I was searching in the wrong spot by only a few mt's.
By this stage the ever so keen ZD's turned up and nailed the hide almost instantly in a spot I had totally ignored.

After signing the logbook we had a good chat and a Laugh & by this this stage Tony66 turned up and joined in the mini event. Nice to have finally met you Tony ... until next time Razz

Lying in bed listening to the rain beating down on the roof when the notification comes through. Go for it yes no yes no? @#&* it I"ll go. When I pull up in the car what do you know, there is all ready a car parked there and I have been beaten for my first FTF by just minutes.
Congrats to Shogun & Zombiedogs on your FTF and it was great to finally to meet you after seeing your logs everywhere.

Thanks for a great cache Julz76

Another evening, sitting with the feet up after having put the ZombiePuppies to bed for the night when the iPhone goes *ping* - new cache published.

Didn't think we'd have much of a chance with this one - 9km north - right in the territory of a couple of other local cachers, but we figured we'd give it a go - and received the blessing from Mrs Zombiedogs (who really just wanted to go to bed).

Grabbed the torches, leashed the true Zombiedog (Magnum, our doberman) and headed out. Decided to take the new Peninsula Link - certainly quick once we got onto it, but the volume of rain dumping down onto the car was a bit daunting. Negotiated the twists and turns and were in the vicinity in no time - a torch could be seen bobbing around on the bridge, so we knew we'd have company!

The clue says that there's often no water under this bridge? well, tonight that was not an issue - it was a regular torrent, and it was falling from the heavens in a deluge too! We cheerfully ignored our increasing degree of saturation and went for a stroll, finding Shogun searching around in the darkness and rain. Our Zombiedog managed to startle poor Shogun a little by doing what doggies do best - sticking the nose straight for the crotch for a sniff - but things were calmed down quickly and to doberman received the pat he needed!

Shogun told us he had looked in several areas, even going under the bridge. Amusingly, I had forgotten my torch so only had my little iPhone light, peered over next to where I was standing and... "bingo!"... Unfortunately this is the third time in recent weeks that we've found ourselves looking for a FTF with Shogun to just lay our hands onit by pure luck...sorry Joe Smile It really was a good joint effort, and we stood around chatting in the rain for a while until more company turned up...nice to meet Tony too!

Eventually we headed home for towels and a warm cup of tea...but not before I got on the phone laugh at good mate DarkyP who lives about 3km closer and whose wife is currently overseas so he had NO legitimate excuse not to go for the FTF Smile Just hoping he reads this log one day!

Thx for a fun hide - hope this remains here for a while - i wonder if some kid will find it on a day when the river is dry...Good work Julz76!!
