Thanks for another cache firnsy found after a longish walk from Freo tree planters had been in the area so was a little apprehensive at first, got even more apprehensive when I spotted the little guy, decided to poke with a stick just to make sure.

Looked in on this one and it was peeking back at me from it's lair. All good from 3 metres away.
Very good hide and after a bit looking around we found the right angle. Well done. Thanks a lot for showing us around.
Thanks for this amazing trail! It was great fun. had an extra round for this one as my gps was quite jumpy but finally spottedthe creature.
Checked this one after the DNFs ... the cache was in the right spot but facing the wrong way, so a bit hard to spot. All good now and the camo object should be easy to see from 2-3 metres away, once you find the correct viewing angle
Had a good poke around with no luck. The last finder must have hidden it too well.
Sad not to find this one today. No time to have a thorough look around. Next time.
Originally logged under family name of clan-wallace now slowly transitioning to new name
I really pity those of you at work today, this's is a much pleasanter way to spend your time. I can really recommend retirement. TFTC
Ha ha. Didn't want to touch it actually because I could only see its tail. Once I prodded it and it didn't move I knew I was looking at the cache. Thanks for the cache firnsy.
We are currently in Perth visiting family but managed to find a cache or two while in town. We are currently trying to complete 2 challenges - to increase our D/T average to 1.8 and to complete our D/T grid for the second time. The Manning Bushland Trail met both these needs as one cache on the trail is a 1/3.5 and this will complete a spot on the grid which we can not easily do in SE Qld. A quick wander along the track and we soon found the cache safe and sound. Thank you firnsy for having placed the cache for all to enjoy.
Stopped by to check on this one ... it was hiding out of view. i moved it to where the next cacher should be able to spot it from a couple of metres away.
TFTC.10.50. From Perth to Melbourne is our last vacation journey in Australia, along this route, we look for caches. Greetings from the Netherlands
Found by mr aamofidotr freaked when went to get cach thanks for the laugh smiley mrs aamofidotr
Out and about with the SocailHarms and we headed for this cache. Didnt take long before I spotted the little critter protecting the cache. Luckily we had a very short break in the weather for this one... not so lucky for the rest of the afternoon!
Decided to head out Sunday afternoon to grab a few caches with BBBadges.
Had a small gap in the weather and BBBadges spotted this one in the fading light! Will be back in better weather to finish the series TFTC SL

I was looking for a good series to complete today that would allow me to find my 500th, and decided that the Manning Park caches would be the ones to go for. I borrowed my dad's Garmin eTrex 20 GPS during the week, and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to try it out. I think it was only fitting that I found this as my 500th cache, as my favourite animals are reptiles. I was so pleased with this one, that I took a few photos and almost put it back without even signing the log. Fixed that, and then replaced him back in the hidey hole. A fave point for the cache container being my milestone find. TFTC firnsy!
Headed out to find a few caches today & our destination was Manning Park. After our last efforts we were hoping for a quick find here Thankfully it was after I found the little devil waiting for me, whilst Jase was searching much deeper in the bush!
TFTC firnsy [^] Replaced this one as I found it, but now reading back in the logs it may be covered more than is intended? Otherwise all is good with this one.

Found 1:45:00 PM, during our second day in and around Perth. Today we decided to do our caching down around the coastal areas south west of the city.
TNLN, thanks firnsy

We almost gave up! Took a long time to find but weren't quite close enough at first. Thanks for a great hide TFTC. Favourite.
This series has been on my radar for some time now and today was the day for a stroll around these paths. Most of the caches were easy to find due to spot on coordinates and there was a nice variety of containers and terrain.
A nice easy find here. TFTC firnsy

Quick find here and on our way again we enjoyed the walk and the views today. thanks for the hide/series
Out for an early morning walk / bike ride in Manning Park. My first time in the area and was quite surprised by how hilly and rocky the area is. Found this one quite easily thanks to CO's adjustment. TFTC firnsy
Checked up on this one today ... made it a bit easier for next finder to spot. Can be seen from a couple of metres away.
With a cool day forecasted, we decided to do a couple of small trails in the area.
We started with the Manning Bushland Trail, which was an easy walk with good
views of the surrounding area. They were all well hidden and in good condition.
Thanks for the hunt today, firnsy.

I am out with my girlfriend and her nieces who are very interested in knowing more about geocaching , we went out for a quick walk to find a few before lunch.
Well, this was a difficult one for us, after a previous DNF we returned and it took another half hour to spot the creature and it was in such an obvious spot too!!
Nice hide Firnsy, TFTC.

Checked it out. It was hidden. It is supposed to be in plain view. It is in plain view now.
Well, based on the previous finds in this series we thought we would have success here. Not so!
After about 30 minutes of searching and cursing firnsy, we walked away from this one with our tails between our legs.
This is a DNF for us. We'll return another day though.

This one could've been anywhere until I read the description properly.nice hide.TFTH
WE have had this series of caches on our "to do" list for some time and today was such a lovely day for a stroll. This was the third of the day for us and as the coordinates were spot on it was a easy find. We were not looking forward to a day searching for nanos and bilson tubes in the bush but the CO has gone just that step further to make the experience a pleasurable one.
TFTC Good job firnsy!!

Virtually had the trail to ourselves today - only one other couple in the area as we popped out from the bushes. Crafty hide. Thanks for a great day out Firnsy!
Creature was indeed poised and did winked at us. At first thought it was fungi...he is very cute. Found with fifthdegree and our mangy mutts. Thanks firnsy, we enjoyed our day today following your trail.
Checked this one while walking the dog in the park. The creature that looks after the cache is supposed to be in plain view, but as reported by my geo-wife when she walked the dog earlier in the week, it was hidden and appeared to be missing. All good now - with the creature poised to give you a wink when you look at it from the correct angle.
Found with richlink in the steady rain. Some interesting hides thanks firnsy.
Mr iluvtrekking accompanied geo-hubby to do most of this series. After completing the Gnome series the previous weekend this was apparently pretty tame in comparison although a bit of bush bashing was involved. They met us at the other end of the reserve thoroughly drenched in the now steadily falling rain. Thanks firnsy
[:(!] Went for a six hour caching run and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GC37DH1 ( K & C 043 - Manning Machinery Madness) and then walked the circuit of Manning Park, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

As the dark clouds loomed we pressed on around the trail, nothing was going to stop us. This is the first time in many years that I have worn not one but two winter jackets to keep warm, so different to the weather we are so used to. Better tuffen up quickly before Busselton or hit the shops for something warmer!
Thanks for the experience.
Thanks for the experience.
It was with some trepidation that Mistraluna and I set off to do this series, as the darkening clouds were getting lower and lower. But we braved the weather and set off on an energetic circular trail around this Manning Bushland, picking up quite a few caches on the way, to make it all a great fun way to get some exercise. The rain held off for about half of the journey only, but we were tough, and eventually made it back to the comfort and warmth of the car with 10 caches under our belt!
Thanks for this well set out series of caches firnsy.
Thanks for this well set out series of caches firnsy.
As per urch's log entry, the weather wasn't the best, but we thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the caches around here today. Not even the rain could spoil it for us. Will be back for the last one when it is replaced. Thanks firnsy
Out with the geofamily for a walk. Been here many times didn't realise there was many caches to find. TFTC
Thank god for the geokids to do the hunting. Log signed as patfam as there are six of us.
I FOUND IT THIS TIME mattpat my brother did not see the dragon sky lander type thing when it was right next to him!!!!!!TFTC

Enjoyed walk series and extra 2 = 9 caches in Manning area. Start at Manning Bushland Trail #1 - approx over 2 and half hours to comeplete all 9 caches - plenty of time - took photos etc... Found your camo cache. good one!!! Signed the log at 12:05pm. Thanks firnsy
Found this one twice. I forgot to mark it off on the GPS last time and so it didn't show up on the field notes I got there today (17 June) and as I approached today I realised I had already found this one but today I came in from the opposite direction. the Log date is the first time I found it.

This was my most time consuming find for a couple of reasons. Firstly, while wandering along from #4, I read that there was a bobtail near GZ so I was shrieking in advance (which, in hindsight, was effective since I saw no bobtail near GZ the entire time I was there and I was REALLY REALLY looking out for one). Secondly, the cache blended in well plus there was additional coverage concealing the cache. Finally, there was a scary man following behind me who seemed to pop out of nowhere when I farwelled the tourists at the tower. Sometimes when I'm out caching, I have a big eared jolly fellow following a few steps behind. He's usually scruffily dressed and often unshaven. This chap was well dressed; scarily so given the terrain. He had donned a well styled pair of jeans and some dress shoes; and no facial stubble in sight. Anyway, this cache provided the perfect opportunity to duck into some bushes and track him from afar. Problem solved; only man I saw after that was blingg near my final find of the afternoon and, once again, I was stumbling through the bush so he wouldn't have suspected a thing! Thanks for the cache firnsy.
P.S. - K.B.'s hot tip #9: To ward off unsuspecting bobtails, scowl, "F... O..." continually while perched on the highest available log. This may prove successful for finding a cache too.

Last one for my loop around the park. Fighting battery depletion, failing light and the park lock up deadline. SL TFTC. Headed back to the car through the gathering dark.
Came out early hoping for some first to finds but clearly someone else had the same idea hahahaha TFTC also took a few hapy snaps of a bob tail lizard that was just having a relax near the cache
Came out for a morning walk with the better half to do the new trail. Found we were second at this cache. The bobtail was more in the open when we arrived but moved into the bush a bit as we walked by.
Thanks firnsy for the cache.

I saw this series get published last night and couldnt resist going out there this morning to go and find them. I grabbed geodaughter kristybelle and her boyfriend ben-was-1992 and off we went. I did them in reverse starting at 7 back to number 1 . we got to this one and i nearly stepped on the bobtail that was enjoying the sun..Then i wondered is that really a bobtail or the cache???Turns out it was real so after a bit of searching around the cache was found and we were joint 3rd Tf TFTC firnsy
