Abandoned cache. Please clear the map.

Disabling this cache until I get a chance to get down and replace the missing container.

09-Jan-18
This has been one of those caches that is always in your face on the map but conditions have not been right to find it.
Today I was finally going to clear this one off the map and I was prepared for what ever the conditions may be so I headed out with biggles1024 in search of this one and many more.
We arrived at this one and the conditions could not have been any better and the search began, after a while of not finding anything a few phone calls went out which pointed us to the correct location but still nothing could be found.
It does appear that this cache is no longer in play.

09-Jan-18
Spent quite some time here with Stemicmitsar but even with phone calls to each of two previous finders, we couldn't find the cache. We're convinced that it has gone.

09-Jan-18
A check by the CO is needed here. No sign of the cache despite assistance by two previous finders.

13-Aug-17
Couldn't see it but the map said it was under us

01-Aug-17
I looked. I considered my outfit. I needed to see a patient in about half an hour in a respectable fashion. I will not conquer today. The moat is very VERY full.

21-Jun-17
Picked up what I thought it was, but it wasn't! Discarded my shoes and socks just to test how high the water was, was doable but I had to abandon this search as I was being followed by a massive black swan! I will return!

18-Feb-17
Not too wet, forgot our pen!

Such a fun find.

I was in the area this morning, and decided to have a look at this hide after talking to another cacher about it at a recent event. Water level was low but still emptied my pockets of anything I didn't want to lose and walked out to the hide. It was a quick and easy find with a few muggle walkers about.

Had me worried on the read. Found it easy enough.

20-Feb-16
Found it. Didn't get wet, didn't lose anything forever. Few muggles around enjoying the day.

Out on a cache run for Australia Day, and decided to check this one out, we have looked at it before but decided to give it a miss, water lever was low today, so no wet feet, also replaced O ring and log for Casey cachers. TFTC K_wolfe

Found with Pinkpiggy7 Smile Luckily we didn't have to get wet to find this one! Tftc Smile

25-Jan-16
Out with Pinkpiggy7 and Sneakygeokids and we replaced the O ring and log

17-Jan-16
A few muggles round early this morning, but not close enough to watch us finding this cache. Right... out there it was... found and signed log. Container needs a new "o" ring and then the log won't get wet.

I headed out today to complete some work contracts etc. and i had some time to kill so i decided to look through my D/T's and see what i was lacking and this was of them so i drove the geohotrodute to the parking location and then hit the geotrails towards the GZ. I had done some research and understood what i was in for but nether the less it was daunting when i arrived at the location. Shoes and socks were discarded for the love of caching and the can of gutsy, undefeatable, awesome, scared of nothing juice was induced to enter the zone.
So i entered the zone , up to my neck in water treading the currents and fighting off the sharks , (sorry piranahs being fresh water ) , towards the GZ. Now the water was cold as ice and deep as i described and dangerous as also described so i had to fight with geo tools i had on board which was a tooth pick and a geo torch magnet towards the obstacles inbetween myself and the Cache but as i have done may more times pushed on through thick and thin and trudged towards the GZ. I may or may not of exaggerated in this description.....
Now after finally becoming triumphant and finding the cache i realized that i was not alone here on thou mission so i had to then go into BS mode and pretend to be a parks and gardens personel and be working on a safer victorian water zone and care for the environment type guy which i did with my fluoro gear on and trust me when i say if i was linked with pinoccio my nose would of been not inches longer but KM's longer lol.
So after the curious public persons dissipated i managed to sign the log and replace and inconspicuously head towards land and begin life again as a normal civilian....
I must say this was awesome and tftc.

25-Apr-15
Arriving totally unprepared, I stopped to contemplate my options. The cooler weather meant that there were zero muggles around the lake so I decided to go for it. What an adventure and plenty of fun and even more pleasingly my balance was kept.
Initially I thought it might be gone as I found some fishing wire with nothing attached, but thankfully I then noticed something else and was glad to be able to add my name to the log.
Thanks to K Wolf for the challenge and the fun.

3/4 of TeamThommo paired up with msenchantress today for 20 caches in a day so I could get my badge. This was 2/20 - arriving at GZ and knowing the CO's style we knew we were going to get wet...or would we...? Should just come back when there is less water? No I wanted this cache today.... Got my good runners on .....Sad F it here I go.... Not too deep...stay there kids... Get it to GZ Nope too hard back to shore....re think...leave it for another day... F this I already have wet feet - back in I go - perched on top of the grate hoping it will hold me feeling VERY scared as its a long way down - made the find Phew Now trying not to drop the log or cache - all good - Thanks Mr Wolf! *** Sorry for the delay in logging, I have been computerless Sad***

So I had a call from TeamThommo about a series that she was wanting to do from Hallam to Berwick... Something about 20 caches in a day to gain a badge or some such thing... The date was set (a daycare day for my toddlers, they would have made the day much MUCH longer than it needed to be). The night before I spoke to TeamThommo to work out or plan of attack Smile
The day arrived, I dropped the toddlers at daycare, the hubby at the shops and I met TeamThommo and her band of merry children at the discussed co-ords. Here I left my car and took off to the other end in her car.

Thinking about this cache now, Im sitting here at a borrowed PC giggling... Im sure you have read TeamThommos log... But watching from the sidelines (with dry feet I might add) it was much MUCH funnier... We stood... We looked.. Im like .. HELL no... TeamThommo, walked straight in... No more questions... Just like that, shoes and all... She was gone...
The kids were worried... from the sidelines constantly checking to make sure she was okay... Then she reached the target, climbed on (and looked like a cat being held above water... claws out clinging to the owner for dear life!!) certainly a sight to be seen... But then, she was heading back??? Nooooooo, what are you doing?? White as a ghost, she took a few minutes to recompose herself before heading back into the water... After a short search, the log was signed and replaced.. The next giggle was her dismount... OMG, tears of laughter by this point... Poor TeamThommo.... A very brave cache to attempt.. Im super proud..

Thanks KWolf for this cache... my belly still hurts from laughing so hard!!

What a blast. Hopped out into the pond to grab the cache. Well actually took my shoes off and walked very carefully out in bare feet as the stones were a bit sharp. Water went up to about knee level.

09-Aug-14
Out for the day with Echidna44 to check out an area that neither of us had done. Having decided that we were better of taking two cars today and leaving one either end was a better option. Not quite sure for a little while if car number one was going to be safe as the council had the workers doing maintenance on the power lines overhead. This was are closest to car one, having read to description we thought it was risky is such wet weather and it was. We will come back in a different season to do this one.
Now to find a park bench for lunch.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 just loved the part of series we did for the day, the containers just kept us guessing

25-Apr-14
I headed off on a beautiful Anzac morning, streets and parks were quite, and a perfect time to cache.

a beautiful walk around the G.Z, but I said NO NOT TODAY [:x]

05-Apr-14
This was a novel cache; loved it! Thanks.

26-Jan-14
I had an hour and a half free today so headed out to get a couple of caches.
Parked nearby and wandered across towards GZ with a large kids party going on in the nearby park. No one around for a couple of hundred metres so left my keys, phone, etc on the shore and shielded from view by Tree Island (see photo) I made my way out to the cache and found something that I initially thought it might have been missing. I kept going and found the cache with all the scary water rushing around me.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

19-Jan-14
An easier one we thought.
Nice walk

15-Jan-14
Out and about today with a work mate !! Too hot to be sitting around so we thought why not grab a cache or two, great hide at a great location, TFTC SL

I found this geocache using the Geocaching Intro App. TFTC!

26-Aug-13
On the August hunt, met up with Dunko to catch a midday cache, last time we were here the water was lower and the locals were using this as a pier to fish from, only the odd walker today so no issue in collecting the waders made this much easier. TFTC SL

26-Aug-13
Found while out and about with Slink1. On our caching run for August. TFTC TNLN SL

17-Aug-13
Cache has been replaced and is good to go again.
... and the water is very cold this time of year.

04-Aug-13
A new container is ready and so this will be back online very soon.

05-May-13
The cache has been there for 1.5 months (while waiting to be published) so it's strange it's gone AWOL after being found only a couple of times.

04-May-13
found the line But cache had gone... I guess It did not survive the last signing

29-Apr-13
I met up with Trailrunning, Blacklegend and Rebel Acts (TDC) for a bit of a caching run around my home ground. It was good to clean the area out again but with the rate of caches getting published lately it won't be long before another night will have us caching the area again. We had a great night and a really good run. Thanks for the hide.

29-Apr-13
Another Monday night run with my good mates Trailruniing, Quasar3671 and Blacklegend, a great night was had by all with some quality caches. Felt unstedy on my feet when retrieving this one, I notice the cache has gone missing, it was there when we walked away and I doubt anyone saw us at the time of night we were there. Thanks K Wolf for the cache.

29-Apr-13
Found while on a Monday night Demolition Crew (TDC) run with the boys, as per usual. Another great night with laughs, cache finds and just a good time in general.

Quick find here tonight. TFTC.

29-Apr-13
I was out and about with some good caching buddies collecting a few in this area tonight. An easy find after a short walk. Thanks.

We had planned a trip to Warragul, so I packed a towel, some gumboots and a change of clothes to take with me. I figured that, as it hadn't rained much lately, the water might not be *too* deep and I could wade in and retrieve the cache...
GeoSons and I arrived at the GZ and I was hopeful that the cache might be in easy reach. There were no muggles about, as the sky was grey and the rain was threatening. Took off my sandals and put on my gumboots, hitched my dress up above my knees and waded in. (GeoSonJ took photos but there's no way I'm going to post them!)
The water was quite cold! My gumboots filled as I searched the murky depths by hand for a sign of the cache. When this yielded nothing, I realised that more sacrifice was needed on my part.
I pulled old tracksuit pants on under my dress, did a girl's change into my shirt and took off my dress (I can't believe I did this in broad daylight). I waded in thigh deep and searched around as much as I could to the depth of my arm. We were still on our way to visit family, so I did NOT want to get my face or hair under the water. It was around this point that I realised I had neither the equipment nor the intestinal fortitude to retrieve this cache today.
I got out and wrapped a towel around my shoulders. GeoSons gathered up my belongings and we started walking back to the car. As we walked a muggle was walking towards us from the opposite direction so I used GeoSons as cover while I schlomped along behind them in my dripping tracksuit and water-filled gumboots. When we got close to the car I took cover in a depression in the ground to strip, dry off, and put dry clothes back on while GeoSons kept a lookout.
I hope my little tale brightens up your day! No FTF for me today; I'll settle for first-to-attempt and send my best wishes to the next cacher Smile

I was somewhere when this published.. later I was somewher else closer to home and figured as it'd not been logged I'd come have a look.. On arrival I reloaded the page to discover a log by KTC (well done).. It was where I expected to find it however not as I expected.. unfortunately as it was a different orientation I struggled to remove the cache.. KTC Vic returned to give me a hand and we soon had the cache in hand.. thanks K Wolf for the cache and KTC Vic for the FTF..

FTF!! @ 2.50pm.

After arising this morning Katy asked me at around 9am, are you gunna go for the FTF, I enquired to when it was published when she let me know 6.50 am, I replied along the lines already gone. Living close to some FTF hounds, I wasn't in the mood to be disappointed.

I continued my preparation for a visit to SA, entering way points into my phone of 90 odd mystery finals locations. After lunch I had a look at the local caches and read the recent logs only seeing one DNF, I asked myself, hmmm maybe it hasnt been found, so off I went in shorts and crocs in anticipation of a wade.

Parking on the side street I entered the park, looking around seeing it was empty, my heart skipped a beat in anticipation. On arrival to GZ i placed my keys and iPhone on the gravel away from the water and wade my way to have a closer inspection. Very quickly i spied what I thought would be the cache and after getting knee deep, I soon had the container in my hands. Retrieved the cache and went back to the bank to reveal a blank log!! Wow FTFers must of been away or thought it would be gone by now. I signed the log and packed it away in its little container, as I was making my way back to re hide the container I noticed a couple walking along the bridge so I quickly put the container back and re hid it. Apologies to the next finder if I put the cache in it's container the wrong way, I am not sure which way it went in, it was only on my way back to the car that i read the final description. Luckily I wasn't muggled. This will teach me for being a Yee of Little Faith, I should of listened to Katy earlier, but luckily the FTF gods were looking down on me today!!

Thanks for the cache K_Wolf
