This one has served it's purpose now... is it still there? No idea.

16-Jan-23
No finds in almost two years. Can the owner please check on it

25-Dec-22
No luck today. These are not my favourite sort of caches - in the bush so that the phone sends me this way & then over there etc etc plus no hint to give a little guidance. After covering quite an area I surrendered & accept the DNF

20-Sep-22
Yeah…nah. No luck this time.

I got a good hint from a PAF but couldn’t locate it I might be better returning when it’s less green here

A quick detour brought us here today. After scratching around for a bit I revised something I had dismissed and bam I had a cache. I managed to squeeze J83 on the log as it is very full. Tftc

We enjoyed this one. The dogs were very noisy but we like the cache. Surprisingly it didn't take too long to find as Erm_the_Worm spotted it.

12-Jul-20
We really enjoyed this one. The spot was really clever. The dogs were very noisy which made it a bit stressful but eventually they got bored and left, and not long after we found it. TFTC this was lots of fun.

Took longer than I expected to track down this pesky little cache

Finally perseverance won out

I've been home the past week bored out of my mind, so I thought I'd head out towards Eatons Hill to grab myself a few caches. The main target today was to get a few more letters for April as this month's just about over. I managed R & I, so all that's remaining is P which I'll grab another time. It was a very pleasant morning outside, very quiet, but I did come across a few people doing their morning walk.

I'm amazed I found this one so quickly. I arrived at GZ and checked out a spot and there it was. Two very quick finds in a row.

Very nice container TFTC!

17-Mar-20
I admit this one took me much much longer than it should have. The walk to GZ was great, and I didn't stir up the dogs too much, until I felt into a hole that was covered in leaves Sad ouch! That set the dogs off, and increased the pressure to find the darn cache!

The GPSr was sending me around and around in circles. I kept looking for something, until finally I saw what did not belong. Ahh, yes, there she is! And as I extracted the logs, the dogs had finally decided to go quiet.

Signed the log and returned as found. The log is full, but unfortunately I did not carry my replacements with me.

TFTC - and a TB visit while I'm here!

So it’s apparently Streak Week! Not to sure if I could be bothered, but I do need some more of those digital souvenirs for a challenge. Umm’ed and ahh’ed and on the way back from shopping I decide that I would do one of the last I had close to home. So I guess I’m up for streaking this week. Cute little find here. Will need a new log in a few more visits.

11-Aug-19
The local dogs sure like to bark on this stretch. We did a fair amount of aimless searching before M made the find. I had seen it earlier but for some reason it didn't cross my mind that it was the cache - even though we have done a few similar! Fav point awarded for fooling me!

25-Jul-19
With some time to kill before a job in the area, I checked the app and this one was close by. It took a while to find, which I don't mind, but barking dogs nearby and the worry of nosy neighbours made the search a bit more urgent. Many thanks for the pleasant diversion, Net88.

22-Jul-19
Came in with SP’s searching for caches. They already had the one but couldn’t remember where it was, so we all started searching with bounce until Mrs SP called out got it.

Took the Hidden pathway down From Old to New. Felt a little exposed here, a few dogs barking and neighbours in the backyard so Swearah and I went about our search silently. Swearah had the eagles eyes here, sneaky sneaky! TFTC!

05-May-19
This one took a little bit of searching with krcamber, while trying to be as quiet as possible so the dogs nearby would stop yelling at us. Luckily something caught my eye eventually and we had the cache in hand. TFTC

Out with RoddyC and Snickersallan for a day geocaching to find a few selected caches for Challenges.
After finding the other cache along this easement, we continued along the path admiring the quartz scattered along the way. At GZ, I noticed something out of place and commented that I had seen a similar one at another cache I had found and sure enough, it was the cache. Quickest find ever... SL then returned cache to its hide.

10/9/17, 3:03 pm Find #1148
Heading back this way from the last cache, I pulled up across the road and wandered on past the house to the top of the track. A neighbourhood dog was barking nearby but I think it was at people on the street rather than me.
As I neared GZ tho, I noticed the man in the house I had gone past was on his back deck on his phone and was looking directly towards me, so I sat at the big tree and pretended to take a call before deciding to continue along the path for a little. That seemed to be all the time I needed, as when I returned he was not there. In I headed to search, and thankfully I found the cache quickly, signed and replaced, and high-tailed it out of there before he came back out.
Thanks for the cache Net88.

Out for the day with nikid1 around the Eatons Hill area.
We made our way up the hill beside the fence & onto GZ. There was a little dog behind a nearby fence who wasn't very happy that we weren't paying him any attention. We wandered around here for a few minutes looking in likely spots before widening our search & nikid1 found the well camoflauged pretty cache.
Log signed & cache replaced as found.

Out with GD and GS. Dogs barking but we had already commited finding this one. Near GZ I spotted something that stood out. About to write in the log when I realised I had dropped the pen on the way up. Have photo if needed. Mental note don't bring black pens but a neon one in the future!

02-Jan-17
Unfortunately logging a DNF here. I found a convenient park and walked up the little hill. It wasn't too bad at 36 degrees. I befriended 2 beagle muggles who repaid me by no longer barking (yippee) and even better I saw no german shepherd Smile) I heard neighbours frolicking in their pool (probably where I should have been too). I spent about half an hour here looking over the area, read previous logs and didn't see anything that stood out in the way described. Will try again another day Smile

05-Dec-16
I walked up the side of the nearby house and got to the GZ. The GPS was spot on but I could not see it. I checked all possible spots and then I did notice something a little faded and out of place. Ah ha...All good here with its cammo. TFTC Net88

Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.

Now house & dog sitting in Eatons Hill, today we took the dogs for a walk whilst we found some caches.
Interesting piece of bushland, glad there was some caches here.

Mr Felix found this one whilst Mrs Felix kept the dogs away from the very unhappy German Shepherd nearby.

This one took me a while and I had read a few previous logs and knew what to expect in regards to the dog, however even though I was expecting him/her to bark I still got a fright when he/she did. My gps was boucing all around the place but finally with a friends help I found it. I was plesantly surprised by what I found and they were very well camoflaged TFTC Smile

07-Jul-16
I parked down the hill and wandered up. Luckily I had read a few logs so when the German Shepherd appeared, I wasn't too freaked out, even though that fence looks like it has a low point which our little buddy could probably leap faster than you can say Run Jim Run...
Ignoring his barking, I made a fast find and enjoyed the setup. Nice work! I then split before the little doggy got too excited about me... TFTC.

Up the hidden pathway we all went and even though we were relatively quiet, we were greeted by a huge noisy dog. The fence at the back of the property didn't look like it would be high enough to contain the animal but after we moved past and ignored him, he settled down. Now to find the cache. This was another fairy quick find by Mrs Wombles. An interesting find, thanks for the cache Net88.

11-Apr-15
I found a short access route into the cache but I was worried that the noise of me crunching the leaves would attract attention.

I wandered around, trying to be inconspicuous and then I read the previous log and then I spotted the sneaky hide.

As I headed out the large dog in the nearby yard was alerted and tried to tell the whole suburb that I was there.

I made a hasty retreat.

This one stumped us for a bit, and we were just about to move off, then turned around for one last glance, and 'ooh, hello cheeky,' spotted it straight away! Definitely worth a favourite point for this interesting hide. Seems obvious now, but we walked right past it to begin with. TFTC Net88 Cool

So I'm visiting in Aus for the first time and staying with a friend in Eatons Hill. Had a look at the app and low and behold there are some caches walking distance from the house.

This morning my South African friend and I set out to find them. This was her first cache so she was very excited.

As we got to GZ I started looking around. Soon I spotted something out of place and the cache was in hand. As I was trying to get my pen to write Tarryn said 'Snake'. She is terrified of them. Luckily she stood her ground. A little 35cm greenish snake was about a metre from us. I got a stick and chased it away.

Thanks for a good cache and my first in Australia.

Got a phone call from Selva Girls this morning asking if I wanted to come out and play as her car had broken down this morning and she couldn't get to work. I thought about it for about 2 seconds (ok, maybe less) and decided that I deserved a break from work too.

I was really hoping for a very fast find on this one as there is a large and VERY noisy dog right nearby and I was afraid he might jump the fence!

After searching around for about 10 minutes we hadn't had any luck so read the previous logs. I then did the "stand still and scan the area for anything that looks a little odd" maneuvre and it worked a treat.

A favourite point from me for something that obviously doesn't belong here but blends so well into it's surroundings.

07-Nov-14
With an unexpected day off due to my car breaking down, I phoned Rhyssa6 to ask if she wanted to come caching with me. Parked nearby and headed up the hill. Once there, the dog started barking. BIG dog! LOUD barking! I was sure its owner would hear it from wherever they were, even in the city! We searched and searched at GZ without luck, then Rhyssa6 suddenly spotted something a bit out of the ordinary. Sure enough, she had found the cache. Log signed and cache replace.

Out and about for an afternoon of caching, on a warm spring day.
We visited lots of parks and reserves, and found a wide variety of cache hides.
Cache was found quickly, and in good condition. A great day was had.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Net88, for us and others to find.

Feeling very exposed here, so I stepped very lightly to avoid setting off the sentry dogs. Quick find if an original container, TFTC

14-Sep-14
'Oh, DOG... SHUT UP... Leave us to get this cache...' I thought to myself before Fairy Mother goes "Ummmm, can he jump over the ledge, then over the fence...?". "I bloooooody hope not!!! Let's get this cache then hike it outa here!" I replied.

Then we started look here, then there, then up and over there... Then just as we thought we better bail as the dog really had it in for us, something that just was not quite right caught my eye. Though right enough to be the cache.

Thanks for another interesting cache 'Net88'. Can't wait to grab some more next time I am down in the Big Smoke. The cache is in good order.

24-Aug-14
Was enjoying my walk this morning and would have loved to found this one but the awesome watch dog had other ideas. The noise would of woken everyone in the street and I didn't feel like explaining why I was digging around the trees that early in the day. TFTOpurtunity may have better luck next time.

Both of Team LJCC are on holidays, so we teamed up with Angela (- Dave) for some caching around the Albany Creek/Eatons Hill area.

After finding the last cache and meandering off the path and onto the bush track, a few observations were made of the nearby houses we were passing. (1) So that's the room where all the ironing gets done! (2) Say, that's a attractive wheelbarrow. I need a wheelbarrow...

Such mundane and scatterbrained musings were extinguished in an instant by the world's most fabulous dog. Or so IT thought of itself. I would like to think it was all bark and no bite, but we had no desire to put that theory to the test. Occupational Health and Safety need to do a decibel test on poochie and have it closed down.

Nothing to do but search for the cache, remembering the words of Desiderata: "Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons"

AND, apparently, mutts.

After a bit of back and forwarding, Angela spotted the cache. Heh heh, excellent hide Smile TFTC, Net.

Off on a caching day trip with Team LJCC.

We decided to clean up our maps as we were both missing a few smileys around this area.

We found a few caches that we could park and hit the pavement, collecting a few at a time. Knowing the CO on this one, we couldn't pass by without putting a smile on the map! Wink

We were a little worried initially, following the little path beside the houses. When we got to GZ, the neighbours dog alerted everyone within a 5 mile region, to our presence! We thought it was going to leap the fence with the way it was jumping up and down!

We looked around for a minute and all walked in different directions when I noticed something odd... lol Guys, look around... What doesn't belong?! We were lucky enough to make it a quick find! Very interesting cache!!

Found myself in the area today so dropped in to nab a quick cache. Not so quick for me, under pressure from the noisy neighbour, but in due course I spotted the damned obvious and was able to etch my mark for history.

Out on a coolish Easter Monday with OrionJ and we (somehow) ended up in this neck of the woods. Up the hill and wandered about and then wandered about some more as both twin Mr Garmins could not pin down GZ Razz And, yes, the rather large puppy dog was giving me the heebie jeebies! He could step over that low fence.

After a lot of wandering back and forth, now with barking in stereo, I spotted the unusual cache which led me to ponder how it doesn't get muggled?!! How did we miss that for 10 minutes of wandering! Signed up and scurried away to the chorus of barking dogs Smile

On we rolled down the hill...

Still having bad luck with the muggles. A German Sheppard having the best fun barking at me from above, which attracted the attention of a group of BBQing muggles below. Sigh. Once again just smile and wave boys. Smile and wave.

After finding the cache "from old to new" I followed the track along the hidden pathway between the houses and ended up finding this cache.

When you get to GZ just look around for a few seconds to spot the cache.

Alas, after I found the cache I could not sign the log as there is no space left on the log sheet.
The log sheet needs replacing ASAP.

Cheeky little one, good fun! No more room in the log though and the paper is deteriorating.

Happened to be out this way today and popped up to break a bit of a caching drought. Initially stumped I turned to see something that was surely out of place. Sure enough, the cache was attached! We enjoyed a quiet stroll along this hidden pathway. A short search at GZ and we soon spotted something that stood out. Sure enough, it was the cache. We filled up the last spot in the log book, otherwise all in good condition. If you're replacing the logbook here, Bovidae could use a fresh log too Smile.
