Found on an expedition to Rolleston with StreetWalker, with the main objective of finding all the WPs of the mighty Rolleston Pump Station Trail, plus finding any other caches that were in the vicinity.
We still had this in our GPSr despite it being archived, and were pleased to find that the cache was still in place. TFTC.

#13151. We suspected the cache might still be in place, so headed down the road (avoiding the yellow signs that had sprung up in the middle of it) and made a quick find once at GZ. TFTC.

In one of the two fairly obvious places, Miss R was lucky to pick the right one this time. Tftc.
Another day, another random drive to cache. We set off after lunch to find a few in the wider area, to see how far we get and what we can fit into an afternoon/evening. The weather was perfect - drizzle the whole day, turning into rain at times, meaning a general paucity of muggles A huge thanks to all CO's for their hides!!!
I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms from from not doing a lot of caches in a day. The previous 8 days I had only found 15 caches. A sad state of affairs. Time to remedy it.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Sunday. Day Three, Area 3. And we're off to an area that I dubbed “South of the River” when I was planning things. A nice sunny day but with a cool breeze, the promised afternoon showers didn’t eventuate either.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found. Cheers and TFTC

Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

Sitting in my car within 12m of cache according to GPS but there is a slow moving train and a linesman in a quad buggy! Inadvertently have taken up trainspotting which I'm sure you will appreciate.
Update: they finished work quite quickly, abandoned the wagons, and the coach and buggy raced off back to rolleston. Quickly nabbed the cache, and on to the next one - thanks for the adventure. My 4yo really enjoyed the train.

This was our last find for the day after biking around Rolleston. Great way to spend an afternoon. Thanks.
Fortunately the rain had stopped when we got here, and the nearby workers were engrossed in their work, so a quick find and away again. TFTC
The downside of not knowing your way around and Caching in the dark resulted in driving around for a bit to finally locate the spot I was ment to be in. All good in the end tho. A good wee place to spot the trains too. TFTC. Cheers Bo
After a couple of months of solving puzzles, decided to head down to Christchurch and tackle a "few" caches in the Rolleston area.
Had to edge our way just a little past a road closed sign but found the cache very easily after that

Quick park and grab on a dusty old day. Came at it from an unorthodox direction I think. No trains while here today
I had just finished a great "morning" of caching Rugby Favourites with purdiepurdie; it seemed crazy not to find "just a few more" .... this was nearby as I pottered around. TFTC.
Out checking a few caches of my own so thought i would come collect a few too. Quick find. A peanut sat on a railway track it's heart was full of flutter train came roaring round the bend......toot toot peanut butter. Cheers
I didn't know a road went straight pass the GZ as I approached from the Industrial Park and walked across the open ground. TFTC

Friends of mine (they're muggles) said they had found a cache by accident near their house. As i was in the district I thought i might as well log it TFTC
Out with JustMeG and heard the toot toot but didn't see it. Wonder if it was related to the photo in some way. Nice quick find however.
Could hear a train in the distance but couldn't see it. We did see the cache however
While in Christchurch I always try and catch up for a spot of evening caching with Sonia26642, as its great to cache with friends.
Tonight our specific goal was to collect sufficient caches so that Sonia could claim her 4000th cache on a particular Wherigo, so mission start.
managed to locate this one without undue hassle

Cats & Dragons was in town, so we decided to go do some caching... crazy numbers! However, I was also very very close to my number 4000!! So the aim was - meet up after work, get the 20 caches I need to get to the milestone, and then we go find a cool one for number 4000!! Woo Hooo!!!
Easy one, almost spotted from car. Another quick grab on the way to the big milestone!!
Consec caching day # 480

Massive coal train came through just after we pulled in! The driver was waving out the window at us and tooted to us! Exciting! Thanks for the cache
A nice find, the water near by was running fast. I was with Dad when we found this and there was no trains today. tftc
9 of 14 today - a quick trip to collect a TradeMe purchase and clean up the caches in Burnham and Rolleston. Sadly there were three that evaded me I came from the other end of the road so had over 4km of gravel road to drive but that's what the 4WD is for An easy find, TFTC
On our way to a wedding in Windwhistle via the back way through Rolleston, bugzptr had already found this cache previously so now it was my turn, great location, TFTC
58 of 100 on a road trip up to Christchurch and then down to Te Anau. A quick easy find. Even a train getting ready to leave. TFTC
Out here waiting to shunt a train in the siding and thought I'd go for a cheeky cache. TFTC!
Westland Anniversary on Monday meant a 3 day weekend in ChCh. Today we are heading home the slightly longer way through Rolleston to pick up a few caches. A nice easy find here. We thought we heard a train coming so waited around to take a photo but it didnt come. Thanks for the cache

A quick and easy find while in the area this afternoon. I came from the north so had rather more than 100 metres of gravel road. Signed log, TFTC
Well you learn something new every day - never realised there was a dairy company down here. Quick find after I walked back - the Car was going too fast for the GPS lol. TFTC
Today's cache for the 31-day challenge! An easy find on a sunny afternoon. Haven't been down this road before, but often travel past the road on my way home to Burnham. Thanks for bringing us here
On my way to this cache I had to wait while wagons were shunted into the Milk Factory. So I got to combine trian-spotting and caching in the one trip. Very rewarding. TFTC.
Boy geocaching keeps you busy, I'm currently doing about a million 'challenge' caches and need to get fifty this month and next to qualify for a challenge where you need to find more than fifty caches in the month for 13 consecutive months. I'm on eleven at the moment and I've cleaned up all the local ones and can't really start again so this is the best time. I need seven for this month and this aided my mission. I parked a the siding and my GPSr wanted my in the middle of the road but my geo senses pointed me to the tight spot. Trains are great. I'm going for the next one up the road. Nice park and grab.
Thanks for the cache.

Had to drop Son1 at work in Rangiora. Being school holidays and great weather I decided to take a long lunch break to go for a drive and cache. Did the round trip via a couple of caches north of the Waimak, to Darfield, Rolleston, the airport and back to Rangiora to pick him up again. This was number 8 of 13 finds out of 13 attempts. Cache easily found. TFTC.
