Returning from a day of attending events further south, we wanted to stop for a leg stretch. This cache was in the right spot to stop so we detoured here for a surprisingly quick find. Over the years we have visited a number of standing stones and these are definitely the smallest. But we had a cache to find so it was just as well. As I stood thinking about where the cache could be hidden, something caught my eye. On investigation, we discovered it was indeed the cache hide. Nicely executed. Thanks Aussie Liahona
I have been here before and signed the log. How did I not log it as well....Okay, fixing that issue now.Nice park, thanks for bringing me to it.
2nd attempt all I can say is have a good read of the cryptic logs it was knot easy and we nearly gave up again. Very creative
Looked everywhere but masses of leaves in every nook and cranny. Fly back to UK tomorrow so this will have to wait until next year!!
Down on the Gold Coast for work and with a free day of caching today weve headed out to make the most of it. Our last cache for the day and after searching at GZ for a while without much luck, we used a PAF. Still took a few minutes to find the sneaky hide. Thanks Aussie LiahonaFind #5889
Today I was down the Coast caching with RoddyC and Hatzofff and this one was in the area so picked it up. A very clever hide and it took longer to find than it should have. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
I was down on the coast with Muggle65 and GreenGecko1 to grab a few caches today. I had this cache on my list. Nottinghamers thank you for placing and Aussie Liahona maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
Or intrepid trio chose today to circle the GC and surrounding area to cherry pick some great D/TsThis great cache fit todays criteria. Thanks Aussie Liahona
Had a delivery to do to the Gold Coast today so decided we could do some caching in the area. We had plenty to do on the coast but where to start. We headed to a closer unfound cache and worked around there. It was surprising just how many were unfound for the three of us. Caching with RoddyC Imbunda and dodging showers as we went.Had been here before just had to rethink back to then and review my notes.TFTCache Aussie Liahona adopted from creators Nottinghamers
Out with Muggle65 and Brislions for some caching today. Great hide! Thank you for a fun cache
Finding it was one thing. Retrieving it from its hide was a whole different story. Found on 3/2/2024 at 1:46pm. Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona
Tftc Aussie Liahona, fantastic hide. Stopped here as the large number of favourite points drew our interest. We had an extended search and were going to walk away when something caught the eye. Upon investigation we had found the cache hide but the container was missing, the CO kindly gave us permission to put a replacement there.Another favourite point for a unique hide.
Cache hidden as meant. A bit of spray for ants that I hope helps. I need to return with a new log. Sorry I didn’t have it with me today.
Cheers and happy caching!

One the way home from a girls weekend in Binna Burra.
Came to this cache with some high favourite points. At least 10 minutes to find this one. We poked and prodded many things with ants falling out. Signed in pink AJ due to not much left of the log. TFTC, found with Ali.

Hi, enjoyed finding this one, but log and bag need replacing (will def get some so I can do this for future caches). TFTC

Wagging work wet Wednesday was upon us, and SaintsMadHouse and I had some serious goals to kick today… once I had finished at acupuncture that is.
The plan had been meticulously laid out by SaintsMadHouse for a productive and successful outing.
Think I was lucky to find this one - I surprised SaintsMadHouse with my speed.
With the rain pouring down, there was only a tiny piece of log sheet to sign my initials on today.
Yet another very sneaky Nottinghamers cache. Thanks for the cache Nottinghamers and keeping it going Aussie Liahona.

Spent time checking different spots. Did another round and finally spotted to.
As mentioned the cache is full of ants.
After I swept away most ants I could sign the log.
Returned as found
Thank you for this cache

A fun time today with my geosis. We had some great laughs and found some caches too. TFTC
Geosis and I started the day early with a sunrise event at the beach and then some markets and some caches. great location and cool hide
It is indeed a complete ant's nest. A TOTT helps the extraction without being overtaken by the ants and all safely returned. I always enjoy these caches. Tftc
CACHE IS NOT HANGING FROM A BRANCH. That is something of which I have no knowledge.
I can confirm that the object in others photos is definitely not the cache. it is where the Gps is and is very well hidden out of sight. i understood the clue and that was the key !!!
Due to ant management issue...we
Thank you for the smiley face please accept photo log.

I think we found it, looks a bit damaged if it is and full of ants but it was still a fun find

Second time coming here I think I found it. As I tapped it millions of Ant came out check the pic.

At a recent get together to paddle Hays Inlet, one of the participants mentioned making their next HUGE milestone a unique cache type during the Mega in Townsville…Well if that didn’t plant a little seed that sees me trying to get a couple of hundred caches in two weeks so I can make my little milestone something unique too…
I’m cruising the backstreets of Nerang collecting caches and Adventures…
I’ve been here before, and it didn’t really surprise me that I walked away from another Nottinghammers cache with my tail between my legs… today armed with a little more knowledge and experience of the COs craftiness I thought I had the cache…
Turns out I did, but only because it appears the camo is missing… I’ve sent a message to the new COs, and I have no doubt they’ll take care of this cache with the attention to detail that it deserves… tftc…

Went over to the standing stones DNF as GPS was sending all over the place and saying I was 38 m away from it but not changing when I headed over to it it stilled said 38m. Hopefully can come back.
Neither the hide nor the GZ I was expecting.
Wandered about the standing stones for a few minutes before looking at previous logs. Saw the ‘thing’ pictured in a previous log and thought this was going to be a DNF due to the ‘things’ condition and all the spiders attached to it. Then I read the next log saying the ‘thing’ was not the cache. A minute or two after finding the ‘thing’, something else was spotted and this turned out to be concealing the cache. Logbook slightly damp but could still leave my mark.
TFTC!

This afternoon, I took a drive to Nerang, with my plan of hiking in Nerang National Park. I hadn't realised that there was rain in the area, and so I had a few downpours whilst walking the trails during my two hour duration. An area that I am keen in returning to with my mountain bike! I did manage to remember to make a stop at the local cemetery as per the *Our Early Settlers* Adventure Lab.
This was my final cache for the day, and it was on my priority/target list due to its high Favourite Points (FPs), with 45 FPs accumulated as of my visit.
It took a good 5-10 minutes of searching around, and I had an idea to what this cache may be, but it turned out that I was mistaken. It was a previous log that helped to narrow down where I should have been looking, and thus I soon made the cache find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was slightly damp. I'm not sure if there is a second container here, as there seems to be a few names missing from the logbook? This logbook was dated from 16/08/2021, so perhaps the logbook has been replaced in between? Thanks Nottinghamers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

All ok, previous pic is not the cache and is out of reach for removal. Happy caching
I've not really noticed this icon on the map before, but when in Nerang, I saw it looked fun, and on the road up to the hinterland where we were hoping to go. I'd planned to meet up with oz_bean_counter, and we agreed to take a look for this one - partly because I vouched that Nottinghamers hides are always unique.
Thankfully we had the park to ourselves and the standing stones sure are unique themelves. I wonder the conversation that happened when planning that decor for the park! Perhaps they 'stand for' something that I never noticed.
With the difficulty rating as it was, we managed to spend some minutes here poking about to no avail. We both cut a few laps, hint in mind but still no joy. We couldn't even find the promised ants! And I did posit that looking for it right after an Owner Maintenance likely means it'll be hidden perfectly well right now.
After I looked at the listing again, I ddid another sweep, and I suspect it would've been the last either way. Luckily enough, I spied something definitely not right, and it turned out to be harbouring a logbook. All I can say is "look closely". A quick breeze by is why we missed it the first 13 times.
Just some teamwork to fiddle the logbook out and we had our signatures added. And now time to gain some altitude, go for a walk and meet some others for a campfire BBQ. Thanks for this geocache, Nottinghamers

After dealing with some work requirements, I found myself on the Gold Coast with a few hours free before meeting up with other cachers that evening. This was one of the caches grabbed along the way. Creative hide, well done.
I found was the remains of a cache and has been confirmed so I will now log as found. Owner has been notified and will repair when he can. TFTC
Exploring locations around the Gold Coast and this is one of the caches we targeted and found. Thanks Nottinghamers. Fav point alloc for this sneaky hide. Had a TOTT in our pocket.
Oh man, two for two fails today, and it's only early! We thought we'd found it but a swarm of big angry ants scared us away. We kept looking to no avail. Maybe another day...
Today is the day to make tracks towards home in SW of WA, sadly leaving the sunshine ️of the Gold Coast behind.
Today’s destination is unknown, just stop when we’ve had enough.
First stop of the day and took me a few moments longer than it should have to find the cache, too busy tripping over the tree roots
**Anyway found it and when I removed the cover I was hit but an ants nest, the
little blighters ran everywhere. I used my pen to get cache and it flicked off somewhere, we spent over 30 mins looking for it but sadly no luck.
TFTC
** NOTE: I’m so sorry I should have just taken a photo as proof of find and recovered, only took the photo as proof of GZ before we left if CO wants proof we were there

This was the last cache on this epic trip before rolling home to Brisbane for a busy day.
Pulled up nearby and set off on the hunt. Lots of scratching and fondling went on before I eventually came up with the goods. Now that was a sneaky one! Think the ants hadn't warmed up yet as I only saw a few. Squiggled my name on the log and got going. Leaving a favourite point to keep it company.
TFTC Nottinghamers??

2ND time lucky for uksquirrel and I today. Log signed and replace for next sucker, I mean suspect.
hey ants nice to see you forgot a pen this time lol thank God for the app n&g here found it great hide very clever
On holiday in the area and a few more caches were in order. I saw this cache with plenty of favorite points and decided to go for it. Clever hide and disguise and deserves a favorite point even with the resident ants. TFTC.
Out with Bunadoorian to pick a few caches in the area - find 1 for today. Found the cache and the ants one of the previous finders spoke about. Very clever hide!! TFTC Nottinghamers
Incredibly clever, but now Im covered in ants. We'll continue the tradition of adding a FP. certainty love your style. TFTC
Tftc. Very nicely camoed cache. Maybe it was good luck this time, but it didn’t take too much time before I noticed something suspicious and yes, there was that creative camo and the cache.
Thanks for this one I initially was looking for another sort of hide but all is good here
Last nights plan was to hit the Gold Coast for a day of caching today with the entire family but my two daughters jagged work shifts and we couldn't get a chauffeur to drop them, so my wife had to pull out as well. My son was dropping me to the RSL to watch the footy when we confirmed we would push on any way, but look for something more ambitious.
I had planned a second visit to Canungra and with so many FPs this cache was our very first stop. This could have been anything and there were so many locations to scour. I feared that we could have been here for a bloody long time.
I couldn't believe it when my son was handing me the cache in no time. I had to ask how he found it and where it was. He was holding the phone and had read the hint.
When he replaced it I realised that I would never have found it and he saved me a sever bout of angst and frustration. He said, "Dad, throw another favourite point on the pile", and so I am. tftc

A short search around the GZ. Had a think about the clue and had that aha moment and touched it. A great hide! Tftc
Found on a quick dash to Nerang. A very craftsmanlike hide as usual. We are lucky we have experienced a number of Nottinghamers' hides otherwise we may have missed this. Another fave from us. TFTC
Arriving to an empty park, I followed the needle to where it said I should be. I took a look and dismissed that location and went looking a little further afield. The satellites sent me back to the original spot, and this time I looked and what do you know, it was there the whole time This is a very finely crafted hide, and something different to what I have seen before.
Thanks to Nottinghamers for placing this cache.
