This was my ninth and final find in the park for the day. Continuing the climb up the steep track nearby, I began approaching GZ. There were a surprisingly large number of muggles on the trail at this time, so I found a spot on a nearby log to sit and take a break. I had a quick bite of lunch and enjoyed the view while sitting on the log waiting for the muggles to disappear. When the coast was clear, I began the search for this cache. I managed to locate the cache relatively quickly in one of the first places I checked. I grabbed it and returned to the log I was initially sitting on to sign the logbook. I signed the logbook and was pleased to see the cache and its contents were all in good condition. After signing, I placed the cache back in its hiding spot and continued on my journey, soon to finish this circuit and return to my car.TFTC

Out at this absolutely magnificent gorge with my hiking company today. It’s been such a beautiful day and we finished early so I decided to trip back up the trail to find a few caches.
Nice little hide. Had to wait out another few hiking muggles to replace

We’ve had a lovely little four day holiday in West Melbourne, finding caches and visiting as many vegan restaurants as we possibly can. The whole trip was planned because we’ve never been to Werribee Gorge or Lerderderg (we’re from South Gippsland) and they both looked like they offered fun bushwalking with plenty of caching opportunities.

The clue didn’t make any sense to us but we located GZ without it. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC

I found out later that this was the hardest section of the circuit, and I had left it to last! I huffed and puffed my way up and was very glad for the breaks that these caches provided. TFTC!

31-Mar-20
This geocache is currently disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis in compliance with current restrictions on non-essential travel.
For the welfare of all I feel there is no choice in the matter as the virus is transmitted by surface contact and geocaching by nature, is a game that involves touching.

16-Mar-20
Wandered around a bit for this one, but soon sighted a plastic bag flapping around. Investigated the foreign object and discovered GZ. Quick sign then covered it for future explorers

Really loved the container here
Made far more enjoyable by intrusion of muggles and the need for quick and averting improv to keep them at bay
Nothing like some theatre experience to complement your cache-ing skills
Great time - TFTC

Day log:
Out today with 2beez to pick up the remaining unfound caches in this beautiful area. We parked at the bottom car park and completed the circuit anti-clockwise. The hike took us 5.5 hrs covering 11.9kms including lots of stopping for geos, lunch and enjoying the views. Such a lovely area so close to suburbia.

All caches were placed in well thought out locations and good sizes. Left swaps in all.

Thanks 6Hinemoa2 and mudbrick for the series.

Love the camo on this one.. I almost broke it. But I love it!!.. Thanks for the cache!

16-Feb-19
Awesome camo on this cache. Almost missed it.

Continuing along the trail and passing more people. I am starting to think jeans were not the best idea.
As people passed I stopped the search to take a photo of the view before resuming my search.

Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.
Found at 1:08 pm on 16/2/19.

Finally a break in the weather and a chance to do some caching without the fear of drowning or melting in the heat. A quick find, loved the view TFTC

13-Oct-18
After a nice couple of days in Ballarat the geowife and I decided we should stop and do some caching on he way home. Geowife picked the spot and off we went. Planning only to do about 2 hours of caching we finally emerged back at the top car park 5 and a half hours later. It was such a fantastic day and the gorge was absolutely beautiful we thought why not just keep going and in enjoy it. TFTC

After searching around for about 5 minutes I spotted some thing that was not quite right and sure if enough I had the cache in hand.

A muggle friend was keen to get out for a hike so I took the opportunity to grab a few caches too.
It was a toss up here, do we start at the top and return back up hill or start at the the bottom and return downhill, Down hill return won.
We were to busy talking and walked past this one, so we continued on and returned on the way back.
Log signed and replaced a little better than found.

Thanks for the cache 6Hinemoa2 and MudBrick

We finally made the time to visit Werribee Gorge and see if the kids were up to walking some of it.
It was pretty steep so we only did a few caches and might have to wait until they are a bit older to do some more.
Lovely day and so many people there enjoying the Gorge today.
Thanks for the cache hide, nice camo and great view.

After attending a nearby CITO TheMclookers, gmj3191, SteMicMitSar and leafotwind and ourselves made our way over to get a start on this series.
We found this one with good camo and muggle free and in a beautiful area.
Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.

*1/11/16, Found @ 12:55 pm, Find # 5868.*

Today I had to go to plan B so after the CITO event at Pykes creek as all the puzzles were disabled, so we gathered the gang which consisted of McLookers, The Tritonz, Gmj3191, Leafotwind and myself and headed for the Werribee gorge and set about find a few caches. It was certainly a great walk around the area with lots to see and explore.
Moving on to this one next, we were able to make a quick find of a nicely camouflaged cache container.

**Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for placing this cache.**

01-Nov-16
Rolling through this part of the series had the group make a quick find here. Clever camo here.

After having attended the nearby CITO I was pleased to be invited along on a caching expedition by SeMicMitSar, McLookers, gmj3191 and The Tritonz. The plan was to find as many of the Windows for your Sole series as possible in the limited time available as two members had unavoidable commitments later today.

01-Nov-16
Didn't see any falcons today but found the cache. We were on a mission!

After assisting in a CITO nearby, a small convoy of gmj3191, SteMicMitSar, leafotwind, The Tritonz and ourselves decided on an assault on a portion of this beautiful area. Thanks 6Hinemoa2 and mudbrick, great hides and a great spot.

**Find #: 4806**
**Time: 12:53 pm**
**Date: Tue 1 Nov 2016**
Melbourne Cup Day is here, which meant a CITO at Pykes Creek Reservoir followed by an expedition into Werribee Gorge with McLookers, the Tritons, Stemicmitsar and Leafotwind.
Tania had hatched the gorge plan and I was pleased to be invited along by an early morning SMS. The plan involved doing as many of the Wiindows series possible before our available time expired. The plan worked well, and we just beat the rain, except perhaps for Steve who continued on when we had to depart.

Another enjoyable find. Really enjoying this walk through the gorge, will need to return with Pam some day.

**Thanks for placing this cache 6Hinemoa2**

Walked the circuit walk and found this cache, as well as pretty much every other cache in the Wiindows series. Thanks to the cache owners for all the effort placing this series.

15-Apr-16
aketch1 and I decided to visit Werribee Gorge State Park to start tackling some of the more demanding caches in the region. We also took the opportunity to explore the area and take in the beautiful scenery. Amazing for being so close to a city! After a 4 hour hike and climb, we left the gorge and found some of the Eynesbury caches before making our way home. Thanks to all of the owners for their efforts, a great caching day!

15-Apr-16
How come I've never been here before?! What an amazing place. KETCHTHOR and I spent several hours hiking through the gorge. To be honest, our planning wasn't that great - we did alot of random wandering taking in caches on the way. If we had spent a bit more time studying a map we would probably have made the hike a bit more 'cache efficient'. That said, the scenery here is quite literally- prehistoric. We found a great place for lunch, by the river with the huge gorge walls looming over us. When we made our way along the track with the assistance of the fixed hand rails it did feel very Bear Grylls like. Thanks so much for putting these caches out. We will be back (more organised) to complete the series.

03-Apr-16
After having lunch in nearby Bacchus Marsh and dumping our kids with my folks for a few days we came here for a bit of a look and a short walk. What a magical place! Why have I never been here? Thanks geocaching for bringing this amazing place to my attention. A great job here on the camo - hubby came up with the goods. Many thanks Smile

A full day of hiking and caching with Team Justice. This was our 31st find for the day - and I'm embarrassed to say, completely fooled me. Fortunately, Martin spotted it the second time round. Nice work, and thanks for the cache!

Having completed the Werribee Gorge series on the other side of Ingleston Rd and thoroughly enjoying them, I've had my eye on the large number of caches in this section for a while. Today I planned to head out and tackle the circuit walk and some of the higher terrain caches but not long after arriving a phone call from work intervened cutting my visit short. So I had to change plans and aim for the short circuit walk instead. This was certainly good exercise with plenty of steep uphill sections through beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife around as well with plenty of birdlife and some inquisitive wallabies.

A quick find and almost back to the carpark for a rest! Thanks for the cache 6Hinemoa2.
