Found it! After leaving Broken Hill before first light this morning I started caching from Wentworth. Now zigzagging here and there around the Mildura area getting as many caches as I can. This one managed to elude me for a couple of minutes while I wandered around the small cluster of trees at GZ. Eventually I found myself facing the right direction and spotted the nice container! TFTC!
Thanks The Veerstags for bringing us here, another track less traveled. All good at GZ Tftc
Another delightful day in Mildura and surrounds. It started out a bit chilly, near 1 degree on the dashboard. Again it turned into a fantastic day with blue skies, sunshine and 18 degrees. No complaints from us at all.We wandered about a bit today finding interesting caches and locations. Thanks to TheVersteegs for this hide. The country is so dry!!
We found your cache today 9 May 2024 10:47am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC TheVersteegs
Southern Autumn adventure Day 59. Mildura Trip Day 8. Everyone from Canberra has now headed off and I have a couple more days here. The day started with some Labs and a few caches near Mildura and Gol Gol, before I headed over to Merebin again to target another Riverside area flush with caches. I had a very enjoyable walk around a billabong with some very interestingly themed caches and then another series that I was happy to be able to drive along. It was another great day with rain threatening on and off, but I managed to stay dry while out of the car (just for the big walk). I then headed home via a few more of the outer region caches that always seemed a little out of the way, but I had time for today.
Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs

All the recent rain and the current high river locally cancelled our long weekend away, so exploring some caches closer to home today!
The geokids enjoyed this cache, was a quick find once we trekked through the prickles (and flies and mozzies!) to GZ.

Found by Mary and David at 10:55. What an oasis here. Love the expanse of blue statice. A FP for reminding us of this game with our 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Dropped off "All my Love - Log My Dog Tag" TB. Our thanks to TheVersteegs.
Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather and a fun day out today, good company with lots of laughs and ooh ahhh at the clever caches we found. Plenty of fave point to give out today.

#4592 Enjoying our drive on the sandy tracks of this muggleless Reserve this arvo. Stopped by here and made the short trek to gz to discover the Barrel. No Monkey's sighted, but no doubt they would love swinging in the branches on these type of trees here TFTC TheVersteegs.
Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity. We signed most logbooks 'B.E.F.W.'
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.

Apologies for the generis logs.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
Never new these roads existed. Geocaching always taking us somewhere new. Apt name. Tftc
Nice little cache container that is well themed - lots of goodies in it for geokids to enjoy!

After no luck with a couple of other caches in the area, this was a welcome easy grab very long walk, but worth it! Will need to rip the prickles out of my shoes before moving on. TFTC
Definitely worth the hike, myself and boundlesswonder were really proud of ourselves in finding this cache,

Perfect weather for caching, we headed out west of Mildura to Fort Courage, adding a few more smiley tokens to our collection. Our kids loved playing this game when they were little.
Thanks TheVersteegs for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

A lovely campsite was found hereabouts last night
Pity about the flies
Bright and early this morning,
in the delightful chill before the flies woke up,
I had a good olde filling breakfast of,
soft boiled eggs,
toast soldiers,
and a hot cuppa tea
Then set off the short distance to GZ to find this cache
At first I thought this cache might have been muggled,
as I couldn't find it and there is a lot of the local dipshit's stuff lying around
But there it was ...
... in plain view
Not been shot yet !!
Which is some sort of miracle
TFTC,
It was a barrel of laughs,
and memories [^]

Found at 1108. For some reason I found this cache to be in quite pleasant area. and I found it so is also good. TFTC.
Working our way a little off road to get to this one and we were glad that we didn't come across any muggles on dirt bikes as the area looks like it is frequented regularly with plenty of fresh tracks. We pushed further into the area and at the gz we soon came across something I have not seen in years, thanks for the cache and the memories TheVersteegs. By the way there is a old piece of equipment with several bullet holes perched up in a branch not too far from the gz but the cache is fine.
We made this one a lot longer than it needed to be by walking in from the road. not sure why I thought that was a good idea. Was a nice walk although it is a shame about all the rubbish around. As we walked up to GZ (60 odd m away) we noticed something in the tree and thought that was going to be it. as we got closer we found out it was an air con and nearby was a dead sheep. lovely.
we moved around the tree and quickly spotted the cache. we opened the cache up and spotted a gorilla inside. I was tempted to take it before any kids find it resulting in it needing to be put down, but I had nothing to swap it with. oh well. TFTC

Set off to find a couple of Caches on this fine Saturday, Before Lord Rossatron started work tonight!
Parked the car along the side of the track and began our long walk into the bush, up hill and down hill on the dirt haha, thinking we should have driven lol! how ever it was a good walk! saves me doing an extra 1.5km on the cross trainer tonight took us a little bit to find the cache, but we eventually found it.. dead sheep near by, just fur and bones, flattest sheep i had ever seen, we found some horse shoe tracks along the way too! was good weather for it, TFTC!

I had originally tried to tackle this one from the wrong direction, but eventually found the way in. Cute little hide! Interesting decor at the location! Cache ##2386.
Had leap day off and needed to fill that one last day on the calendar.
Closest event for the day was in Mildura, and I'm in the riverland, so
the old mail road it was...
Travelling with a monkey, we had to stop for this one.
Great park.

TheCatBandits family cache day out. This one is super cute and was surprised it was still there once we arrived seeing this place is obviously someone's target practice place thankfully they weren't around today lol TFTC
This was a barrel of laughs! A quick find in an interesting area are the trees olives? We speculated about what this used to be. Thanks for the hide and brining us here.
Found by Roma and Max.
We are now searching in an area we have never visited before and were glad to find your little barrel of monkeys intact, as everything else within sight of GZ was bullet ridden and had the appearances of a war zone!
You sure don't have to move to be a target around here!
Thanks again TheVersteegs, another neat little container, well hidden.
Cheers,
from Romax.

Find number 54 of 78 found while on a Vietnam veterans trip up to Lightning Ridge in northern N.S,W. We travelled through Broken Hill,Bourke,Wallgett, then onto the Ridge. Our return was back down to Willcania,Medindee, Wentworth,Berri, then home to Kadina. Finding caches on the way added more interest to the trip. Thanks for the hide.
The weather was behaving itself so it was possible to drive to this one today. I remember playing this particular game in my childhood. Hmm, I think I'm showing my age now, lol! A favourite point for this one for the hide and also for the memories! TFTC
A big day of caching with brisal5 and Aussie M & M plus a couple of locals. Another great cache in a lovely location.
Thank you
Thank you
This was the first full day in Sunraysia on a caching adventure with mogni and brisal5. We were joined by Mr M's parents on a day where we mainly concentrated on getting as many Wentworth caches as we could.
Having completed our Wentworth visit we decided to pick up this one on the way home. Loved the cache container. TFTC Versteegs.

Day 2 of a caching long weekend to Mildura with Aussie M&M and mogni. We were joined by Mr. M parents for a caching trip over the border. Quickly found. What else could it be. Thanks TheVerseegs
Found on our Holiday to the area We were having a great time and loving the area
Staying with my sister at Sunnycliffs we went out to geocache. This cache was a barrel of laughs although we had to negotiate a rotting goat then dead sheep before we found the cache. I love how geocaching draws you into areas that you would never have gone to and I was also educated about Cabbage trees by the Cardross Fillys. Took geocoin but sorry didn't leave anything as we had left our geocaching gear at home. TFTC
Enjoyed the drive out to this area, there are some great unusual shaped trees around here too. Easy find tftc
Dropped in TBS as was vacant please swap or only take one - thanks in advance
This was our 15th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 15:14
So this now makes our total find count 6431.

We thoroughly enjoyed the drive to this one. We came direct from TB Country Homestead. Luckily the geomobile is a fourby.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Good (Around 4 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Car.
Thanks TheVersteegs for the hunt today.

Out for a pleasant drive around Mildura/Merbein with the specific objective of picking up Trackables/Geocoins so that we can drop them off when we go overseas in 2 weeks. Great hide TFTC
Ya Hoooo. First to find. Had to go out of town today and grabbed on the way home. Hard to get a FTF in Mildura. TFTC
