Logs
NRL team #3 collected, as the wander around the slopes of Narrabundah hill continued. Container lid cracked and logbook soggy. Gently wrote pp for pantspeople on the log. Thus, in need of a new log and new container. Didnt have any with me today sorry. Thanks Sol de lune . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Yet another evening in the Narrabundah Hill area - it was a nice walk along the trail to come find this cache as the birds say goodnight whilst the sky slowly and steadily starts to get dimmer. This cache was found quickly as I spotted the cover - brilliant cover against muggles and good at protecting the container from the elements. Though, it would seem that time has had its wear on the container and the log is damp but still slightly signable, and they could do with a check in from the CO in the futureThanks for the cache!
I saw the nearby NRL series and decided to spend the morning walking around this area collected as many caches as I could. I ended up doing the nrl series backwards, but I found all the caches I set out to find. Overall a very successful morning!! This container was broken and the log was very wet. I was able to peel it apart and sign it though. Tftc!
Good to turn a past frown upside-down with this smiley now we are rambling around Narrabundah Hill again today. The GZ was 5m off for me so found using spidey senses. Top of container is cracked/perished so maintenance before full perish is well warranted.TFTC Sol de Lune!
Out and about on a Sunday arvo with Baristayan, who brought me here after scoping it out herself the day before. The plan was to try and clean out all the NRL teams, and anything else we could find along the way.
It all started so well until a massive dump of rain settled in and washed us off the hill. We shall be back tho, sensational views up here and all caches were in terrific order.
Geez the Doggies have been battling for a LONG time now but somehow I’ve always retained a little soft spot for them. Was always a Jason Hetherington fan back in the day, and then loved the way James Graham went about it in more recent times. Thanks!

#4188 Always enjoyable to take a walk around this reserve. Made even more enjoyable by finding a cache along the way.
Thanks again Sol de lune!

Hmmm three to choose from at GZ… proper shake down… surprised not to discover this one today…
The lid on this one is cracked so it’s wet inside … needs a new container. Thanks for the geocache!!
Decided on a cache hunt after work. Found all the NRL teams, however there is one missing. Poor Newcastle.
A great day so decided on a maintenance run on the entire series. Cache was cleaned out, replaced the log, bag, pen and and it looks like new again.
Hopefully it will last another 8 years or so. Cache on....

Easy find. We figure this is a low risk local activity with kids during lockdown. Thanks for saving our sanity.
A nice walk around in the cold and overcast today. Definitely my favourite time to cache trails. There is a crack in the top of the lid of cache. Contents were in good condition though. Tftc
Out for some caches today and decided to hit this section of Canberra, full circuit was 7Km with easy walking. Everything was well with the cache ... TFTC
I headed out for an exercise walk and to go for this cache. I parked and entered the reserve. There were a few muggles walking along the main trail and thankfully I had the side trail to myself. Close to GZ I headed off and started searching. Soon I spotted the hide. Log stamped and all replaced with a bit of extra camo. I then continued along the loop back to where I'd parked. I walked 3km. TFTC.
Now this was the thrid and final walk with Wilma and Hoppy in the area to compete the NRL series. This time we had quite nice winter weather sun was out. We started at the northern end and made a loop from there. Thanks for the Whole series SDL!
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you Sol de lune for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Can remember in the 70’s when they were called “ The Berries “ .
Jesus, what were they thinking .
Didn’t scare the opposition too much then with that name !
Nice hide location and views .
Many thanks to Sol de lune for the cache invite .

Hooray! Found it just in time! I was flying down the hill to get to this cache. It was the last one I needed for the Mystery at the Museum event. I logged it with only a couple of minutes to spare. It was my tenth find here tonight and number 35/35. Now I'm completely exhausted but at least it's not too far a walk back to the car. On the way, I was trying to figure out why I didn't get my last souvenir. Turns out I still had to unlock the vault. I was stressed that I had missed out given that the time had ticked past midnight. But thankfully, I soon figured out the combination and the app allowed me to unlock the vault. Souvenir achieved. Phew. That's enough madness for the time. As for the Bulldogs, sorry, I never really liked them. TFTC
Found on Saturday afternoon.
I was originally planning to go caching along the Murrumbidgee today, it my GPS wasn't, so I had to come up with a new walk somewhere in phone coverage area. Never wandered on this hill, so it was an excellent opportunity.

Staying with some friends in Rivett do couldn’t resist doing this power trail. All caches were easily found due to accurate coordinates and helpful hints

I've already got a few in the NRL series, and today I'm on the pushy to clean up a few more TFTC!
Somehow took a wrong turn but then reversed to get this one. Placed nicely in accord with the helpful hint. Tftc.
#534: What an absolute stunner of a day Canberra has pulled. Dog walking and caching once more.

The geowife wanted to bring the whole fmaily out to do a caching bushwalk, which means she wants to find 4-5 and have a picnic somewhere.... the geokids have no stamina to do 20-30!!! So I looked at the map for an appropriate small series to do and this leapt out at me. I had completed more than half of these as well as the puzzles some time ago so it was just one loop to do... happy days.
So we arrived at the stile in the corner only to find it absolutely chock full of cows. Serious, they were right up against the stile and there was clearly no way through, so we had to drive down to the next one and go up the dirt path towards the trig directly.
On the way out the cows had moved so they were now stradling the path we came up from, but thankfully they left a 'lane' that was just wide enough for us to get through. The geokids were a mixture of fascinated and scared while threading the needle.
Thanks for placing these caches and allowing us to have a nice little walk!

Was a freezing cold miserable day so why not go get some caches? Rugged up in our snow gear we headed out with HAM228 for a nice walk. Been meaning to get this trail for a while and it was good fun even though it was cold. Nice easy finds for most of the trail and a favourite for my favourite team! TFTC!
