Logs
Going back through my logs and notice that I'm the first person in almost two years that's found it. Would explain the water and rusty tags. And the fact it was well rooted to its spot. Lol.
Nice walk through to here. Had trouble to locate it. GPS jumping around then finally came within 2m. Then i discovered. Only to find its full of rusty water. Definitely needs maintenance. Logs wet as. Took pic of log and cache. Tftc
Thanks for placing this cache, otherwise I might not be motivated to go here. Found it while heading to Matekawa hut. Took us 50 min to intersection and 15 min to waterfall. Quick find with Patman post. Tftc.
Once we were at the right door we made a quick find on our way down the mountain. Great hut and it looks like a great place to say for those that can't do it all in one day. TFTC
Great day for a walk on the mountain, although a bit hot. Had trouble with GPS initially but eventually got it to settle down, made the climb and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
After our last trip we were sure we knew where the cache was hidden so we rather surprised when we didn't find it. But after a bit of scrambling around there it was. Cache wet through but log book dry. Dried cache out so all good now. A better day for walk on the mountain. Saw three goats when we came to where the track meets the river just below the falls!!
Bit misty but great day for seeing waterfalls. Continued up river to see big waterfall. Actual curtis falls is 10 mins upriver.
Teamed up with Pricelesstime to take a walk to this one today... Nice walk and like others ended up on the wrong side of the falls... Widened the search area and soon had it found. Signed log and left an RFID tag TFTC
A team effort with taranaki guy to find it Used some muscles that had been under used for a while but all good SL TFTC
When we got to the falls the GPSr was pointing us to the wrong side, so as a result we climbed a much harder way than was needed and ended up walking around the top of the falls to the other side. Spotted a SPOR, and hauled out a slightly wet cache. We dried the contents on our clothing and swapped the wet log book bag for a dry one. Left a key tag and a compass geocoin.
Thanks for the cache, it was a challenging walk and deserves a favourite point.

What a lovely walk. Took Mr 10 59 minutes to walk to the falls. We looked stepping over the rocks to cross the river. Enjoyed the birds we could hear also.
We searched beyond the falls for the cache (hoping that the small climb was when we scramble up the large boulder at the top of the falls), but couldn't find the cache. Looked in all the places that I would have hidden it and many, many more places, but couldn't find it.
Still glad we came - if the cache wasn't here we probably wouldn't have come and had our adventure together. 48 minutes to get back to the car.

No difficulty with finding it by using the hint as well. tftc and a good bushwalk workout.
Lovely day in NP so thought a walk on the mountain would be the thing. The SE was pushing cloud on to that side but we thought that a bit of mist would only help the atmosphere. However the wind came up and pushed the cloud further and so by the time we got to the falls it was raining. The GPS coverage did not exist near the falls so we went on instinct which failed us. Looked for 20mins but no luck. Could see where someone else had been looking but the cache was not sighted.
