This mural is on the side of Corporate Headquarters of Eastern Mountain Sports on Rt. 202, Peterborough, NH. It is a depiction of ice climbers.

Found a small mural of James Dean in Fairmount IN.

Located in roseville, MI - Artists name is Gonzo and this is located on the side of his studio

Found this mural at the entrance to the pool at Thornden Park in Syracuse, NY. Didn't have anyone with me so couldn't get me in the picture.

This is on the Lucullan's building in Downtown Ames, Iowa. This is a beautiful mural that honors some of the city's founders.

This mural of animals is under a bridge over the road that leads into the entrance to the Bronx Zoo. The Bronx River Parkway runs on top of the bridge. The mural commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Bronx Zoo in Bronx, NY.

Though it is well lit under the bridge it was difficult to get real good pictures of the mural. I have posted 3 photos, 2 with the flash and one without.

After looking for another cache, we unexpectedly came across this mural in Bridgewater, VA. It depicts the town, which includes Bridgewater College on the right side. We were glad just to see it, and also glad to use it for this cache!

We found this mural outside a little italian restaurant located on Admiral street in Providence, RI.

My Home town is Detroit Michigan and we have many, many murals through out the city. My daughter and I love art and really like home grown talant.

On a side street in Smackover AR. Just passing through. Don't know the history of this Mural or who painted it. Thanks for an interesting cache.

Found this interesting mural on the side of a small strip mall in Tucson, Arizona. The words "El Milagro" were at the bottom.

This building on SR 41 between Inverness and Hernando, in Citrus County, Florida is the home of Excel Automotive (352-637-3700). There are great murals on 3 sides of the building. TFTC

this is a small part of it, they actually have different sections done, I think it is still in the process of being finished but with winter here who knows when it will get finished.

A nice building side mural/business sign found in the business district of Springville NY. There are actually a few of these in town but this one is my favorite because I think it works well with the 1-2 feet of snow we have laying all over the place!

This mural has been under construction for more than a year. It was completed in two parts that I watched over many months as I drove by. Recently, I noticed that it was almost finished and decided I better get my pictures and coordinates while the artist was still on the job.

So, I stopped to talk to him on Monday Dec 5 and discovered that he was cleaning up his equipment and getting ready to move on. Jared Bader, the muralist, was kind enough to open the back of his truck and show me the preliminary sketches, the grids, and all the other materials he used in producing the mural. He had a large notebook of drawings and details.

I photographed Jared and his work. I got so interested in the process involved in producing a mural, that I forgot to get a waypoint for my coordinates. So, today, I returned to the mural and finished the requirements for this cache. I have posted several pictures, too.

I drive through many Philly neighborhoods on a regular basis and have been admiring murals all over the city. My next step will be to sign up for one of the mural tours or luncheons so I can learn even more.

This mural is in old town section of Roseville, CA. The mural shows a locomotive with PFE labeled on it. In 1909 the first units of Pacific Fruit Express ice plant were completed, and by the 1920's was noted as the world's largest artificial ice plant. Southern Pacific also continued to expand, and by the 1920's it boasted the largest freight marshaling yards west of the Mississippi River. This mural is on a different structure but very close to the mural in Mike&Celia's log.

Found this one at Doc's Corvettes on 11th Street and S 73rd E Ave in Tulsa near the old burned out Rose Bowl and McClure park. I don't know what all this means. Someone put a lot of work into it.

There are a lot of murals in downtown Missoula, Montana. This is a bar called the Oxford that has characters in all of the upper floor windows.

Looks like a bridge you could look through but it is a wall with a very nice mural.

Mural on outside wall of window treatment shop in Lewisville, TX. on Mill St.

The last unreported Hagerstown, MD mural I'm aware of can be found in a Western Maryland RR underpass along Burhan's Blvd. About 100 yards up the street is the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum. #94

This mural is painted on one side of a 20 story building. There is another mural on another side of the same building in downtown Shreveport, LA. This mural is the largest mural in Louisiana.

Simmer House coffee shop on Franklin St in Michigan City, Indiana painted the side of their building to reflect the peaceful interior & draw attention to their business. It has undergone several transformations. I am not sure if this is the finished product or not, but they do a mean mocha!

This Amercian Mural is located on the Las Vegas Blvd!!! I was visiting Las Vegas with a group of girlfriends and I took this one at night. I was going to lighten the pic but I kind of like the night time effect and I did not want to change to much the whole effect of the picture.....

FOUND THIS MURAL SET IN STONE IN THE RESTHAVEN MEMORY GARDENS IN AVON OHIO ON ROUTE 83. I HAD JUST FOUND A CACHE HERE AND THAT IS WHEN I LOOKED OUT OF THE TREE I WAS IN AND FOUND IT. THE MURAL IS OF 4 SAILERS WHO DIED IN WWII ON THE SS DORCHESTER THAT FOUND ITS RESTHAVEN ON THE FLOOR OF THE ALANTIC ...TFTC...RAGEXN!!!

This mural was done by the children of Black Diamond on the playground wall at the elementary school in 1977.

This mural is on a building in Cherryville N.C.,about 25 miles north west of Charlotte. It has a painting of there baseball team as well a a pic of a semi truck which is how this town formed ie Carolina Freight. Thanks Catscastle

First time to have fun since Rita, Jefferson, Texas is a really nice little town.

Caching on the way to work! Will need to go back and get coords. This is the Gateway to Chinatown mural in Philadelphia at 12th & Vine Streets created through the city's Mural Arts Program (MAP). There are over 2,400 murals in Philly through the MAP.

What a unique idea! Put an actual golf cart to blend in with the mural. This was at Jack's Golf Carts in Clinton, OK.

This mural is located in the small western town of Ely, Nevada. The town is home to many murals that depict aspects of life in this diverse and unusal place. this mural is located on the side of a carwash and included in the photos is one of the mural description (sorry it is blurry but you can still read it).

"Valor" . A Tribute to all Veterans. It is to honor every military branch and every war. It also has an eagle flying overhead carring a US flag. Massillon has alot of murals. This is on the corner of Erie and Federal in Massillon, Ohio.

This is one of many Murals along the Jordan River Parkway in Salt Lake Valley, Utah. This one can be seen on 12300 South and the parkway in Riverton Utah. It is unique because it is cast in relief as part of the cement retaining wall under the bridge.

This is a mural of a train and station of old, it is in Water Valley Mississippi Right of Main Street /across from the Methodist Church.

This mural is in Watertown, South Dakota and was painted as part of the uptown restoration project. It depicts an earlier time on the same street when it was a popular area.

This is a mural that was painted by our local High Schools art students in 1997 under the 405 freeway overpass at Lassen Street in North Hills California. There are 3 other overpasses nearby also painted with different themes (desert, bears & orcas).

Aurora, Oregon. This mural is a depiction of the Aurora Colony located in the local park. The mountain dominating the scene it Mt. Hood.

We found this quite by accident today, when circling the block to get to a parking space. Not a pretty mural, but a mural nonetheless. This is outside a funky coffee shop.

Found this NASCAR themed mural while visiting West Virginia for a family wedding. It's on the end of a gas station/convienence/liquor store near Parkersburg WV. You might be a geocacher if you stop on the way to a wedding reception to log a virtual cache. My husband (The Reluctant Cacher) enjoyed the mural but didn't appreciate my timing. TFTC

This mural graces the downtown Shreveport horizon. It is just off of I-20 and can be seen when passing through.

i got lucky and the parking lot was empty (not open for the day yet), so i could try to 'crop' the one car out.

Sorry, but I couldn't get my GPSr in the pic and have it at all readable... This mural is in my hometown, and is a nice welcome to downtown Viroqua, Wisconsin. I actually saw this while it was being painted by artists in WWTC about 7 years ago. It represents the seasons: On the left is spring, then summer, fall, and finally winter on the far right.

Please don't quote me, but I think the City of Philadelphia has more murals on the sides of buildings than any other city - there are dozens and most have either a city or neighborhood theme. This mural of three young girls was painted in 1998 and can be found on the side of the Pentecostal Deliverence Tabernacle at 2428 Ridge Avenue.

Found this mural on the wall of a downtown building in Brattleboro, Vermont. Drove by and made the driver pull over.

This mural is located near downtown Kansas City, MO. It honors Caesar A. Chavez...Mr. Chavez is the founder of the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA)..

Fishing anyone? This mural is located in Nashville, Tennessee. it was painted by Michael Cooper. The light pole is not in the painting.

This mural is located at the intersection of West Olive Street and North Boonville Avenue in Springfield, Missouri. The date by the artist's name says "'95", so it is 10 years old. This is a very historic part of Springfield. Historic Route 66 passes through here, and Wild Bill Hickock shot and killed somebody over a poker argument just south of here in Park Central Square on July 21, 1865. The shootout has been called the Wild West's first classic street shootout. Thanks for the cache! (Oh, and as you can tell by what is above the mural, you're now thinking of a hand-dipped milk shake!)

This mural I believe was created around 1999 for the sesquicentennial of the town. It's located on a side street that doesn't get much traffic, and that's too bad. It's very cool on both sides of the street. It's painted on the cement foundations of an overhead train bridge that was built in 1903. The East wall is a mural of "old town" and the West wall is "modern town".

Salem, Oregon: a microcache led us to the area, and we found this mural very nearby. Don't know the history of it, but it seems to be on the side of a Habitat for Humanity warehouse of some kind. (??)

A fading California mural... Unfortunately, I don't know anything about it except that I've occasionally noticed it for many years. It's located in North Hollywood on the North side of Sherman Way, just East of Allot Ave.

This is a mural on an old building in Garland Utah. It is now a dance costume store. This is the old sugar factory that is now closed.

Vanderhoof, B.C. is the home of this work of art. Trains and Moose are prevelant in the northern part of the province. Note the proximity of the site to a confluence.
