A bike ride in Bairnsdale was in order this morning
And after a stinkin' hot day yesterday,
it was overcast and cool this morning
Perfect for bike riding ... right ??
I made it as far as this first cache find for the morning,
and it started drizzling
Not to worry !!
It wasn't going to rain on my parade

Out and about finding caches in the area and this was one we found. A nice walk to GZ. It must be interesting to get to this cache when there is water in the creek. TFTC

In contrast to a couple of recent logs, we found the log in this one high and dry and ready for more seekers. Satellites today had our GZ 6m SW of where we located the cache.
This is one of the caches we were able to find while staying in Bairnsdale to celebrate a very special family birthday.
Our thanks to Scozza for bringing us to this location.

Off the beaten track! Quite damp inside where I rescued a lonesome and rusty travel bug. Mozzies were away today .
What a beautiful little place!! Found with the family after a very long break from caching. Left a travel bug will log later.
While on my week holiday in Metung i grabbed some caches around Bairnsdale. Log book is damp but still able to sign. Sl thanks scozza for the cache.
Found 5:07:00 PM, during an Easter long weekend expedition to Barnesdale to visit family.
TNLN, thanks Scozza.

Initially walked straight past cache which in a way was a good thing as we came across the lid in the first instance then after a short backtrack had the rest of the cache.
Signed and returned cache.
Thanks Scozza.

This sort of hide can take a while to spot even though it is a decent size. Once I spotted it and realised how to retrieve it, I was up for it and actually enjoyed it. Very nicely done there Scozza!
Found with scollywho1958 while out and about for the afternoon. Able to sign the log despite the barking dog and mooing cow. Problem solving and trust worked well for this cache. TFTC
Nice walking track that will only get better with time, took a little while to spot. At least the dogs were quiet! TNLN TFTC
Suscoe's 19th find of 14 for this morning.
A delightful walk to Gz and after a short ponder the cache was in hand.
Log signed to the tones of the barking doggie over the way.
Thanks to Scozza for this cache, a nice placement.

This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
Today we were visiting our friends who are building a house in the estate nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stroll down the path and the cache was soon in hand.
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Dropped: TB "Eco TB"
Thanks Scozza for the hunt today.

We spent the day in Bairnsdale today doing as many caches as we could before we headed off towards Sale. This was one of the caches we were able to find in conjunction with caching friends LazzaL. Thanks to Scozza.
In Bairnsdale with friends Liz & Bruce trying to get as many done today as possible before moving on to Maffra. Thanks to Scozza

Not sure about the name of this one but thought it was a good hide and worthy of our Fav List. TFTC
We are really enjoying the variety of caches that we have found over this weekend. This was another fun one. TFTC.
Found it - please note the pencil is broken.
TFTC - my 11 year old found this one.

Great spot, long grass though, was afraid of snakes today being such a hot day.
# 3861. A good day spent caching around Paynesville and Bairnsdale with Robmc, by car, by foot and by bike. One of 18 finds for the day and at least one DNF.
A nice little walk on the correct side of the creek amongst the wattles. Rob sighted the good-sized hide very quickly once we were at GZ. TFTC

BettyBoo3747 and I drove down to Paynesville in the morning, stayed for lunch, then did a bit of a tour of Bairnsdale in the afternoon, finishing up on the bikes around town..
A nice stroll along the side of a small creek that, I suspect from last night's rain, was actually running.
A very quick find once we arrived, not sure why.
Thanks, Robmc.

Removed the old container today and turned part of the swag into a TB (-: It will be repaired and re-homed soon! Thanks for the heads up everyone, I failed to spot the old container when I replaced the cache!
445. Needed to go into Bairnsdale for a few things so took the opportunity to find a few caches en route.
Parked just off the road at the entry of the walk, followed the footpath along and ended up on the other side of the stream! So walked back and got onto the right side. At GZ I found both caches, (new and old), so not knowing which one to sign I decided to sign both.
Scozza, maybe you could come by and pick up the old cache and place it elsewhere as a brand new cache? Bairnsdale and the surrounds could do with some more hides

Sorry Scozza,
I hide the old broken cache a bit.
It is siting on top of the branch that broke off.
just above head height, nearer to the fence.
I was in the area yesterday, doing the "quickstop" cache and check on this cache.
the old cache is still there.
All the Best

Found in a place that is quite logical due to the area. Might become difficult as time goes by. TNLN. Thanks Scozza for the challenge.
Went and had a look and got to the location of the coordinates and had a look everywhere and cant find it
Found after a short investigation of the GZ. Stayed at the point of retrieval as I signed the log and replaced, before returning to the path to make my way back to my cousin's house. TFTC
After a very hectic weekend (and last month) it was good to actually do a few caches this morning with lagavullin3 and this one was close to his place so we just had to go and get it. Grabbed ella the geodog (and she is much bigger than any westie!) and went for a walk down this lovely path. Got to GZ and started the hunt. Started looking for high difficulty hide but soon found the cache very easily. Did the signing thing and put it back where we found it. Thanks to scozza for another good one.
Lovely little linear park with lots of new housing backing onto it. Quick find on a quiet Sunday afternoon. TNLN. SL. Cache in good condition still.

Easy find Scozza, wish we'd had a chance before it needed moving. Catching up on a few caches that occurred whilst we were away "overseas" in Tassie.

Geocousin Noel led us out on a very convenient but overgrown walking track but it got us to GZ to find a jammed container minus lid. Retrieved both at 16:45 and rejoined with log. Now placed for more accessibility but CO should check location in case it is too easy. TFTC
Great hide however the container is now unable to be removed as nature takes it course! Needed a stick to retrieve log book most challenging find to date well done!
Scozza I am starting to think you are following me !!! I was in here last month scouting around for a good spot..... and before i know it you beat me to it lol.
Anyway with this one being close to my home GZ I had to come down for a look. This one brought out the kid in me again, thanks Scozza I guess I don't have to worry about putting one here now.

While this one was way out of my comfort zone, it was good to know I can still cut it when called upon to do so... and there was only one way to get it, so I manned up and Just Did It! Love a challenge, and you sure provided it, Scozza TFTC!
Found this one with WyldMan92. It was a little bit of an effort, especially on a day like this. thanks Scozza
