This one has gone missing, again. It's hidey hole and everything this time . There's a bit of work to replace this one so we'll have it back ASAP.
Had a good look but wasn't able to find the cache. I saw plenty of real fungi, but no magic mushroom.
Found it.
Greetings from germany and thank you for showing this nice place says lucy61

What a cute cache, not the traditional one, little Blue Heeler was right onto it. Told him its round her some were you think you would see a mushroom growing.
Great little hide.
Great little hide.
Found this cache with geobuddy Adreilly. Such a clever container. Left Daphne the Dolphin travel tag. TFTC! =)

We had given up and were walking away when geoD decided to check just one last place - AH! There it is!

Cute container... little one loved it. A couple of trails had me looking in the wrong spit for a while. It is pretty easy this one
No luck with this one today either found what looked like a well used geotrail but alas it ended without the mushroom. will have to check on this one again next time too
Much quicker when it's actually there! We're back in town for a couple of days so we're pretty happy to get some closure on this one. Nice container after all. Thanks to SV for the replacement cache.
Hopefully this one will last. I cannot find another cache container of this type anywhere. Please be EXTRA stealthy.
Rotten muggles. This one has been stolen. We will try and source another fantastic container ASAP.

Last cache of the year and a DNF The trail was actually really quiet because of the lead up to New Years so we only saw a couple of muggles but we just couldn't see the cache today and we scratched around in the leaves for about a half hour. I actually came way too close to a snake and we kept on looking! Mind you, we did push the geobaby out of the trees and closer to the path after that. Scary stuff, not only do we have to look for a cache but we have to look out for snakes too. We'll be back next year...
Finally a container big enough for a few trackables but I left them at home! Grrrrr..... I NEVER win!
T pointed out a likely spot but the GPs sent us elsewhere. Eventually we came back and looked there properly and there is was - just like it should be.
Have been enjoying finding great caches in Mackay during our year long trip around Australia. Tftc
A find by Mrs Beetle in a much kinder place than the area Mr Beetle had been searching. He must learn to trust his GPS more! Thanks, a nice container.
Found at 1:12 PM GAFF1. Big overshoot on this cache - even though the hiding spot was spotted on the way past. The overshoot actually helped in the end as we were able to see the hiding spot a bit better from the other approach.
We are enjoying his series with the various and different hiding methods. We are so over the scores of mint tins in no particular location
Thanks SeekerVolls.

Great on found it reminded me of a joke.
Why did the mushroom get invited to the party...........................?
Why?
Because he is a "fungi"
Cheers for the cache.

Tried to find it but we couldn't. Went looking for some other caches and then found it on the way back. Really good find.
Thought that we weren't gonna find it as we looked once and carried on our walk and then on our way back my friend looked again and to our surprise found it TFTC
Another day caching around Mackay, and a short drive out to Eton.
We found a variety of caches, including 3 puzzles and 2 multi's.
This cache was in good condition, and well hidden.
Thanks for the cache, SeekerVolls.

this one gave us a bit of trouble, nothing on the way past the first time so we looked again on the way back ( we didn't get to do all of them because we were already being paged by Bowen)
Mum spotted it on the way out to head back. Yah no DNF today.
thanks again Seekers

nice afternoon for a stroll
and instead of my usual walk along the beach
opted to walk a bit more of the CF Trail along the Pioneer River
(the last time we started out at the other end, and didn't get too far before we were soaked)
no issues with the weather today ...
no problems with this cache either
All good - and now it's on to the next one.

With time running out we had an hour return to do as much of the C F walk ( or what is becoming a mini power trail).
Cathy Freeman Walk was first and we had a good guess of what we where looking for but took a while to spot it. Once we did we knew what to do and soon bought the cache to our hands. We signed the log and placed back in position. TFTC.
Can't see me for the trees was next down the path. At first the GPSr had us in the grass but then settled towards the cache description. A look in a few spots and we made the find of a different bit of camo. We signed the log and headed for the next one. TFTC.
Recycled Inspiration was next. We where not put off by the terrain so tracked to this one. We soon saw what was at hand at got to the top of the likely spot where we soon saw the camo. A quick look and we worked out an easy way to open. Nice bit of camo and with the signing of the log complete we reassembled the camo and posted a quick find log on line before continuing on. TFTC.
We headed to Magic Mushroom next. While continuing on our GPSr froze so we went for the re boot. Before it got back to speed we stop and thought we must be close and once the signal was back it said GZ 5m. Got love your geo sense sometimes. A bit of a look around and we made the find of the cute camo. We signed and re hid. TFTC.
New Life - Old Railway Reserve was next. We thought we might get a few muggles for this one as we saw the car park but then saw the needle swing to a more sheltered place and shortly afterwards felt the cache. A quick log signing and off to the next one before having to turn back.
Troll Revenge looked to have many hiding spots and unfortunately our GPSr over shot so we searched at the wrong end for too long before re checking co-ords and getting to the right spot to make a good find on a nice bit of camo we have seen before. We signed and headed back to the car in less than an hour round trip and another 6 caches under our belt. TFTC

GPS sent me in the wrong direction, but geopartner spotted it without even trying (using his geosense!). TFTC!
This one gave the kids a laugh and we introduced a friend to geocache at the same time. TFTC
Yes I had heard about Mackay's magic mushrooms
A short stroll around the centre of towne should convince anyone that most of the population knows about them too
At least it makes a change from lickin' cane toads
This magic mushroom appeared very quickly and so I suspected that it had no hallucinogenic properties.
Unless of course you want to imagine that you are the first cacher to find it and savour the moment you open it to find a blank log book
Dream on people

On our way North to the Wintermoon festival so we stopped by to grab a few smilies.
Even though we guessed what we would be looking for our GZ found us a little away from the hide so we had to widen our search before we came up trumps.
Thanks SeekerVolls
Wow FTF what a great cache container. Thank you for the new caches SeekerVolls. Get a fav from us. Now off to find the next one.
